so i played as poland, pu with lithuania etc, then i formed commonwealth. after it i changed dominant culture to prussian and created prussia. now im scratching muscovy and year earlier i vassalized novgorod. now i have no fucking idea where to go, ill probably still go for muscovy but i would like to form that sweet germany. problem is those fucktards have alliances everywhere and ottomans on my goddamn borders aint helping either. so, what would you advice?

Playing MEIOU is that makes any difference...I know it makes Explorers quite a long way off from where I am now, dont really want to wait all that long before "borrowing" some Tribal African manpower, my own is a bit weak due to decentralization & poor provincial authority, working on that, but it takes time.

It's a pretty good account of the Habsburgers through the lens of their army that manages to showcase all the shit that happened military-wise while providing a good narrative

Author is a major Habsburgboo which might be a turnoff if you're not one (thankfully I am) and is fond of presenting Austrian defeats as long-term victories (or not as bad as they could have been) but makes a good enough case for it to be plausible
