I was reading somewhere that in reality GTX 970 cards were essentially GTX 980 cards that had been manufactured early on and developed a major flaw (the odd unused RAM portion). As far as how good the card is, it's well worth the price despite the 3.5GB

The way it seems to go, from everything I've read and witnessed and gathered, is:

If you NEED, all CAPS, at least 4gb of RAM, the 390 will probably serve you better.

If you can get away with 3.5 or less, the 970 will be the better bet.

Overall performance seems to favor the 970 across the board up until you cross that 3.5gb threshold, after which it's sort of a crap shoot, but predominantly favors the 390. Past that point, they're either relatively the same or favoring the 390, which means you should buy the 390. This sort of situation is only going to increase as time goes on, so if you're looking to the future and don't want to either pony up the money for a 980/980ti and are unwilling to wait until the next series to hit the later being the situation I was in last year this time/tax time, and why I'm running with a 970, odds are the 390 will serve you better. RaceMenu is better than ECE now because you can sculpt in it, as well as the overlays.

Oh, and the sculpt function works with different head meshes, be it vanilla, ECE's, Citrus, etc.

if you have the space and use mod organizer why not just copy/install to a new directory and try it for yourself? That way you only have to partially demolish your load order instead of re-installing from scratch

if you really like the body then go for it, I tried both and I got the "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome, same with ECE vs Racemenu over the years. I'm sticking with CBBE because it doesn't bother me, there are shitloads of outfits, and stuff that comes out for UUNP has a higher likelihood to be ported to CBBE than the other way around.

Well, remember that I'm a GIMP user so results may vary.

But what I would do is have an empty transparent layer over the face, and with the dragon texture as a separate layer, use the clone tool to paint directly onto the transparent layer. That way you can easily clean up and generally manipulate them without damaging the base face texture.

You'll want to adjust that layer (and any others you will be creating) so it had a nice color and contrast level that compliments the base diffuse. Generally try to work it scale detail in naturally.

It can be a daunting process at first but you'll learn new things and develop a workflow technique over time.

Unfortunately not really. Your best best for that kind of playthrough is using Illusion and Restoration. Calm, Fear, Courage and healing your followers, who will do the fighting for you.

No real way to talk your way out of most situations though, which I really liked in Fallout, but it does make sense that it doesn't apply to Elder Scrolls, most of the time you aren't fighting humanoid enemies and the few times you are it's things like bandits who aren't going to be swayed by words.

So i bought Morrowind during the Christmas Sale, rolled up a wood elf monk somehow and am trying to roll with it, unarmored and hand-to-hand combat.

Man, amazing how changing of the saturation of my display effects the color. I was using Cinema mode and it's almost white, as you said. But switching to RPG mode it's now a light brown. I love these presets. Not the same guy.

That armor is also made out of steel, which makes no sense for it to be brown. It still doesn't change what I've said about vanilla armors. All of them are lack a lot of color.

I always thought that Argonians have developed outright immunities only to toxins and diseases found in Black Marsh, while sporting an increased resistance towards such from elsewhere in Tamriel. I'm not exactly up to speed when it comes to Argonians, though.
