I've never said anything about being "yaka expert".
I actually said that I'm just learning and that I cant imagine doing a "real" role anytime soon.
Can't make this shit up family:
>These are the completed player pages:
>literally just players adding themselves in and writing a roleplay fanfic bio
is this setup autistic? im on wave 20
I make 3mil an hour doing Runecrafting. Is it possible to make more with these stats?
>average /rsg/ raid
doesnt take place because why would you raid with what is essentially a group of randos
also I'll say the only yaka kill I've failed is when a beep shitter stunned the north pool
>back when they reworked a lot of shit before eoc
>sgs spec was passive, no choice for it
>go in to see how far I can get
>2 goddamn hours later
>get to jad
>no items or anything, just full verac and sgs
>die, of course
yeah it's easy
Ok one more stupid question, is there like a list of things I should be doing daily to maximize my XP? I'm just getting back, and I'm slowly reading over everything I've missed and there's so much more.
Sinks for dg
Caches for div
Big chinchompa is okay until you get crystallize + grenwalls.
Daily challenge, reroll if it gives shit xp.
If you get a slayer mask from TH some of them are good and give you a good task
Other stuff is mostly about money and not xp.
Yes, definitely. You might want to get better armor though if you can, such as malevolent. The defence makes a huge difference and you'll probably be taking a lot of damage while learning.
You can do 2 sinks per day and do both of them in one go.
Caches are every 3 hours and 2x per day. They give a big chunk of xp and give you a boost to your div training for 20 mins. It's only worth doing div during cache boost.
Dude, I was actually there. Quit talking shit when you weren't even playing around then.
Ah right, I don't bother doing warbands, I just don't enjoy them. I don't even do sinks since I also hate them. But if you're care about efficiency they're definitely worth doing.
>I was there
>there are records of updates and patch notes saying otherwise
>being so shit you die to jad
Yeah I generally don't do them either. I don't like having to get on at a specific time. Another one is capping on divine yews at daily reset, something I rarely do but is well worth the time.
Out of those listed I'm missing 99 in smithing/con/farming but I was told Con has high xp rates so I should just make money to buy it and use warbands on another one?
Farming is really easy, just do a tree run everyday, forgot about that also.
Smithing is kind of expensive but you can afk it in Artisan's if you have gold.
Construction even with gold unless you're really good at mousekeys you're going to burn your fingers.
I say construction is the worst to train overall.
I really hate missing divine yews, trying to fill up your divine cap at w2 in burth on efficient divine locations is suffering. People place shit down like magic trees.
Con does have higher xp rates than smithing but it also requires a shit ton of attention and clicking to get those rates if you're not using AHK or something similar, whereas smithing is very AFK but lower xp rates. Take your pick between those two.
No. T90 melee will be easier than T80 range even though range is (subjectively) easier in general.
Oh I'm dumb, also forgot divine locations, go w2 burth at a peakish time and they will be all over. Some are more efficient than others, but you'll figure out which ones you want to use eventually.
Generally the best ones are divine yews, rocktails and I believe it's either mith or coal but I never bothered doing mining on them.
I honestly used rs wiki, spooder isn't that complicated of a boss if you break it down.
He has a few abilities he will use throughout most of the fight. And you need to figure out each path eventually, but focus on one and the last phase and it's easy to remember it all.
Cache + Div w/boost daily
Big Chinchompa till I get the new spell + grenwalls
Book of Char daily
Divine location cap
Jack of trades daily
Am I missing anything?
I haven't watched his guide, but he's pretty shit at everything so I imagine it's terrible. That being said I don't know of a better one so might as well try it. You'll figure out all the little tricks to speed up your kills eventually, but as long as you can consistently get kills, no matter how slow, you'll be making better money than any other boss in the game.
Cache is two times a day if you get 100 points per game.
Not related to xp but definitely worth doing is Vis wax, it makes like 300-500k profit in 2 mins of work. Or you can use the vis wax which is very useful like extending/resetting auras, rerolling/extending challenges and div location cap.
And do ports if you haven't started already.
And something else that is decent, wicked hood teleports, gives you some decent xp and a bit of profit. I've gotten like 20k bloods just from doing it over a few months.
If you use elemental runes, body, mind and sometimes chaos you'll make a profit if you aim for yellow/green in slots. That's assuming you sell it, I keep mine and end up buying more from the GE since I use so much of it.
>+ Div w/boost daily
Using the boost isn't worth it unless you know divination will be your limiting factor in max/5.2 unless you're specifically going for 99/120/200m div as fast as possible and don't care about overall efficiency. Otherwise I don't think you're missing anything worthwhile from an xp perspective, although there are a couple high TVC daily money-making activities (vis wax, broads, maybe battlestaves) that are worth doing for most players.
I have an account from circa 2006. I logged into Runescape today and didn't like my char's appearance so I went ahead and tried to make a new one on a new account.
I can't seem to be able to make my old char's looks. The hairstyle and clothing don't seem available for newly characters.
Is there something going on for characters created pre-modern Runescape?
This game is bad. Very, very bad. I doubted the authenticity of the majority of players so I took it upon myself as a man of science, fueled by curiosity to see for myself how bad this thing really is.
It's been 15 agonizing hours since I first logged on and I'm typing this from a toilet.
It all began when I saw an internet article that pointed me to this game, how I rue that day. I laughed for at least an hour at the ridiculous stories, sure they were entertaining, but these so-called "grindans" as so many posters refer to them as couldn't live up to the hype. So, I naturally did what any curious, nostalgic person with a lot of free time on their hands would do, I signed back up.
After deriding this game to everyone I knew and pointing them to the funny posts that had no substance I was incredibly excited when I arrived home from the gym and sat down to play. In retrospect, I realize I should have never taunted hell to arrive so soon, for I was ill prepared.
I sat down to enjoy some of the new content and watch Netflix. I played with abandon for 30 minutes straight. I figured 30 minutes of playing would be good enough to produce an effect, being a 6'4" 270 lb strongman competitor I wanted to be sure I played enough as to leave no doubt. I estimate I tried around a third of the recent updates during that sitting and it was pure bliss, at the time.
I sat there for an hour and a half awaiting the proposed inevitable, praying that the stories were true because then it would be more fun than before. Alas, 8 pm rolled around and I had only went to the bathroom once and dropped a very normal stool. I was outraged, after all of these stories. I had tried it for myself and found out that I had been right all along, they were lies!
Then, like a well timed retort, my stomach began to growl. It went on for thirty minutes and I hit the bathroom, spewing the remnants of the game from my sphincter in a very violent fashion. This was the moment in had been waiting for! Runescape did the trick, it works, the stories are true!
Fast forward to 9 am the next morning and I'm typing this from a toilet. I didn't sleep, oh I tried, but to no avail. I quit trying to stay hydrated hours ago, everything I drink comes out the other end violently and ceases to stop. I am pooping nothing but water with bits of Runescape in them. I had to cancel my plans last night and stay right next to a toilet, I haven't eaten anything in hours and I've lost 10 pounds. I just want this to be over. I am sorry I ever doubted anything, all of these ridiculous posts are completely plausible, this is worse than food poisoning. Looking back on the awesome feel and fun of the game, the experience of playing it that was so good at the time was simply a sick, sadistic taunt. This thing is evil, pure evil. Please stay away, it isnt funny or cute, it's from the depths of hell itself. Please, don't make the same mistake I did, take my word for it and spare yourself the agony that only Runescape can produce.
And if you do make the same mistake I did, may God have mercy on your soul.
Just think you took time to come up with that. Or I guess you could of just copy pasted it from somewhere else if you're even less creative.
>get 16 plate voyage on friday
>get 16 chi voyage on saturday
>get 16 plate voyage today
I've never been this lucky with getting voyages and succeeding below 90%
>be having bad day
>come home and have bad day on runescape
>go to duel arena, deciding I can only have to much bad luck
>go 2-15, lose all of my money
>go back to osrs
I don't know what I expected
Some things you HAVE to understand about this game:
1. It's an MMORPG, and just like the rest, it is a major grindfest
2. Coinciding with the 1st point, this game is a huge timesink
3. Most of the playerbase have been playing for years, and everyone is almost maxed/maxed/comped/120'd
4. It's easy to get addicted to because the game constantly rewards you, making you come back everytime to experience the feeling of "accomplishing" something.
only if you're doing it properly with a decent team. soloing is this same shit, just quicker and less annoying.
cant see myself bothering with elite tasks/sagas again just for a 3rd g8 for meds tho, 2 is easily enough for 90% of floors.
>How's that different from using gp to buy a new equipment so that I can enjoy a new section of the game?
If the servers die or Runescape disappears so does everything you bought
If the bank collapses or the USD (or equivalent currency) disappears you might lose a lot of 'money' but everything you bought still exists
Truly -_-..... this new contributing meme is quite epic -_-......
I was merely addressing that the your post -_-..... was contrary to your claims -_-.... Jagex, though unprofessional and unorganized at times -_-.....would not post something of this nature -_-
Not him, but at first I thought you were calling him
<----Was this intentional?
I know, I'm a shitter. Over 10 years as well on this account...
i think the problem for me is that on osrs once you start moving pieces you can click ahead before they really move to that spot, so it goes along quicker
on rs3 if i try to do that it just doesn't respond i think
For someone who played only OSRS, How would I get started in RS3?
I need to find a way to make decent money. Lost like 120m (Pretty much everything) through a stupid trust trade.
Gimmie a minute and I'll post my bank. It's horrendously unsorted.
>tfw just got 10 year cape
Here it is. 10 years of being a casual shitter.
All this plus 2.1m
liquidate your bank. sell all your runes, your armor, your potions, everything. destroy all your cosmetic stuff (you can get it back from diango) then do runespan if you dont have the rc level to runecraft shit worth any money. then craft cosmics or nats for mad shekels
First up, you can't sell p2p items while you're still a free to pleber, so you're sort of fucked in that regard unless you get someone to buy you a bond and then you pay them back in p2p.
Also, I'd suggest you listen to their advice and dump the Guthans. Atleast the Spear since the price is hyped up due to the new defenders. You'll get a good chunk of cash from it. If you delay the sale, you'll likely get less.
Shame you don't have either 85 mining or Smithing, you'd be out of f2p in no time if you could do shit with Runite.
Right now, you're stuck picking up Zammy wines and Alching. Just do all the good alchables (plenty of them since rune armor market is saturated as fuck) and once that's done, enter the bot battle arena.
Alternatively go to the revenant cave in the wilderness and try to score a Corrupt Dragon Spear. That thing cost a good chunk of money not too long ago.
General use are the GWD gloves for each style, barrows gloves if tribrid for some reason like KK.
Dominion are some of the strongest but degrade too quickly to be worth it in most places.
Dom are technically the best but take too long to get and degrade too quickly to be worth it.
Deathtouch bracelet has the highest offensive bonuses for all styles so it's what I use for everything.
>mfw 99/90/90/95 combat
>STILL CANT FUCKING MAKE IT TO JAD
WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING WRONG FUCK
KQ has some of the most retarded block chances and hit chances in the game. Her magic and ranged are literally 100% hit rate ignoring armor. She is harder than a lot of "stronger" bosses.
>why must I go for 120s
I have no idea
I can't imagine why anyone would grind out 120s when they provide no benefit and no other players even care about your stats/capes.
Also if Jagex does raise the skill cap they'll just add faster training methods.
>brews and restores
I did fight caves with sharks and level 80 combats.
Are you using legacy or something equally retarded?
If you're having so much trouble just use obsidian armor
>i play EoC because it adds Diversity and enrichment
>not just using whatever is best
It's like you want to be shit
>willingly playing on Retard Assist mode
>Retard Assist mode
aka legacy. the mode for retards who cant comprehend pushing a few buttons in between clicking and waiting
>hurr the game i played for 12 years was retarded im going to abandon that for Evolution of Gimmicks mode
>implying everyone playing runescape (RS3 and OSRS) arent just playing because of sunk cost/a crippling attachment to it
No one actually cares about runescape's content, we're all just trapped at this point
I want to see the storylines finished, even if they're finished horribly.
Godwards fucked up the game, but Skillcapes fucked up the community and reason for playing the game.
It doesn't matter which version you're using, Fight Caves are easy. EOC just makes it faster. If you can't do it with Legacy either that means the fault lies with you somehow being garbage at a game that already doesn't take skill, and the realization that you are that incomprehensibly bad means you are going to start making excuses and blaming everyone else.
That is why you fail. You are bad at the game and somehow manage to be bad at being a person as well.
Godwars introduced OP weapons that fucked the balance of the game.
Summer's End introduced OP shields that fucked up Godwars by making it even easier for the incredibly rich.
Skillcapes fucked up the community because people stopped playing to play, stopped training a skill because they WANTED to, and started training to max because everyone that wasn't maxed and showing off with a cape was a shitter and looked down upon by everyone else.
>can't do fight caves
>this has anything to do with level 120s or skilling autism
You don't have to do anything to succeed in fight caves, and you still somehow fail and use it as an excuse to shitpost about how everyone but you is the problem.
>advise lelgacyers that they're gimping themselves by playing on an inferior combat system that doesn't compete with the modern one
>they bitch about how the game has changed and refuse to change
>they get mad that the game is now suited for eoc combat only
>The try to flame people for using the better combat system
Shaking my head, niggers. What are you doing?
Honestly, I don't know why they're so mad. When I came back after a few years, I used legacy mode at first. However, we I actually tried out the EOC, I realized how much better it is.
I think they should just give the revolution a try.
i literally reset my IP 12 time to vote for EoC
>you will never be this madcuzbad
No bonus xp from events.
No free gifts.
No bossing except with other ironmen that you can't split with.
"Hardcore" version is if you die you lose the account, but you can buy a certain amount of lives.
The past 20 minutes of this thread is this pic in a nutshell
combat tutorial in lumbridge
you can set the interface ti "Legacy mode" in the interface settings (Esc)
New interfaces is nearly fully customizable so it's worth making yourself a nice interface when you're ready to branch out from legacy
dont rly find this skill fun anymore tbqh
i use eoc actually, legacy interface is much nicer than the new one imo
dging efficiently and properly used to be a lot more difficult than it was. now all you have to do is check off some dailies and complete some easy minigame once a day or w/e it is
i'd say that it's difficult to have the patience to train most other slow skills (rc, div etc) but actually training them is easy, yes
1. the ability, coming from one's aptitude
3. the state or quality of being apt; special fitness
4. suited to the purpose or occasion; appropriate
Someone people just aren't xp-apt
>dging efficiently and properly used to be a lot more difficult than it was
>it's difficult to have the patience to train most other slow skills
Neither of these things are true though.
Runescape is literally one of the easiest games you can play
The hardest thing about it is affording the netflix subscription required to stay sane while you play
average floor times for larges used to be about 12-13min on w28 or w67. now it's about 10-11 (ive been told) because of people having 3 gates, gds being really easy and bosses having pretty much no hp. also, being able to get a free 200k xp in 5 mins with dailies and whatever you get from sinkholes means that you dont even have to go through all the effort of actually dging.
i could go on and go a bit more into it but i cba desu
2nd is your opinion
EoCucks on suicide watch after getting BTFO by legacyfags
oof another really tough one out of the way
I am quitting RS3.
Probably going to play OSRS with some friends. The only thing I didn't like was starting over but I'll get over it. If I don't sell all of my shit it'll just drop in value so I may as well.
List of items I am selling:
Full Verac minus flail(JUST SOLD TO KING CRIMSON)
Full Torag minus weapon
Full Karil's minus xbow
Full Ahrim's minus staff
Drygore Longsword-Off hand
Full Armadyl minus xbow/shield
I will post these on the GE but if there's something not buying I am willing to sell it for GE price. Whatever is not sold in the next few hours or whenever I feel like it will post on the Grand Exchange.
PM Bonechene in-game for deals.
Just to clarify I only sold the flail, the Verac armor is still for sale.
>searching my runescape username in Google
Lel. My old RS username had some embarrassing YT vids/forum posts attached to it. I'm so glad that name change update happened, or I may still be using that name to this day. I did manage to recover and delete the old YT account, but for some reason the videos I did upload got re-uploaded to Chinese and Russian sites, comments and all.
Oh wow I found my ebaumsworld profile lmao
>go to world 2
>try and be nice and maybe let people get some deals by buying off of me for GE price
>Bank Sale 274M!
>get a trade from someone using the "proud" walk animation
>wearing a white phat
>trades me 1900M
>just sits there on the trading screen, waiting for me to gargle on his nutsack or something
>finally declines and walks away and says "Oooooooo"
>sits there with his dumb proud animation like a jackass
>everyone else tries to lowball by like 15%+
>some kid with lv 99 bartering skills
>tries to give me 4M less than what GE price is for Torva set
>"That's a good deal dude"
>decline and ignore
>he trades again
>offers 1M less
>"That was last offer man"
>2 min later
>offers 500k less than GE price
>put him on ignore
>go sell it on GE and list it for the GE price
>end up selling it for 2M more than GE price
Fucking retards I swear.
>do KK with two peeps from fc
>first time doing it
>surprised they're willing to take a newcomer
>wait around forever
>finally get the last guy ready
>we go in
>shit's crazy stuff flying everywhere
>not used to the orange balls, have to react sooner than I thought because my character runs 1 minute after I click
>rejoin for next kill
>survive this time because I got the hang of everything
>realize we're not on a lootshare world or anything
>"how does loot work"
>"top dmg gets loot"
>these guys have max capes and I'm only maxed in att str def hp
>and they have way more exp so they're gonna get more dmg in
>I basically have no chance of ever getting loot
>tele out and resume slaying
fuck that, no WONDER you guys are so eager to take newbies with you, they help out and get none of the loot!
What's with the anti community training methods recently?
Mainly seren stones being worse if you share it with another player. It just makes people grumpy when someone jumps on their stone and spreads people out across servers
>Implying that anyone cares when autistic faggot ignores you
What is this "double your money" scam?
People trade money over
Then they trade double back
Keep going until one of them runs off with the dough?
I saw 2 noobs bicker back and forth
>put up 1m
>I will if ur legit
>I am legit
>I will post 1m if ur legit
>I am legit
>are u legit?
>ye post it i'll double
>I'm legit I'll do it
for like 10 goddamn minutes...
Beard for Lapses
JRMohawk here senpai
I disagree, I think dging well now is harder. Floors are so much faster, less time in gds and bosses because of eoc and less time running because of extra gates plus keyshare means there's almost no room for error at this point. Decisions have to be made much more quickly, there's much more information to take into account as the map opens up faster, and microefficiency is much more important. It used to be that 10 seconds was nothing - now 8 seconds would be the difference between #1 overall and not even making the sheet.
More like youre butthurt faggot pretending to be me
>Ara ara, do you want dinner, a bath or maybe...me?
>800k xp/h skill
>gaining xp in one of the most useless skills
Because I don't have the money for power armor yet?
What's the point of using rune items when t90s exist?
What's the point of using monkfish when rocktails exists?
You can't get the best item in one go.
>You can't get the best item in one go.
The only real issue with barrows nowadays is how easy and cheap alternatives are due to overcamping, and how quickly you level thanks to how obnoxiously fast combat training became. Dharok's has high damage output thanks to its passive, and Guthan's has high sustain. They aren't bad item sets, it's just that the alternatives are extremely cheap too. Barrows is actually decent on ironmen accounts.
