I think it's a niche tech against mc tech, can't be sure though

So it's been confirmed that HS has a pity timer that increases the Legendary drop rate to 100% every 39 packs.
However it's also been found that it tracks the pack type separately so Arena randomizing your pack is in a way, reducing your chances at getting legendary cards.

Classical control decks are in a bad spot right now

Minions are getting more efficient, so removal spells hardly ever trade 1 for 1

Minions are getting stronger, so weapons are way more dangerous to use

More efficient and powerful damage cards means if you waste a turn to drop a lategame card you'll just get rushed down and killed

The only version of control warrior that works right now is basically fatigue since you can't fit threats in and survive.

Usually whenever a) you can get a good trade , preferably with your shade surviving but if it dies to a 4-5 drop it's fine as well, or b) whenever you really need the face damage and your opponent will have a hard time dealing with it (e.g. at 5/5 against a Paladin).

It's funny because apparently as much as everyone here likes to complain, it's surprisingly difficult to create a card game of the same quality as HS.

Both duelyst and magic: origins exist and both are shit compared to HS so no one really plays them. Wizards literally tried to make an HS equivalent of MTG and failed horribly.

I wish the best thing would be if WotC and Blizz teamed up and took all the code that sets up the card interactions from MTGO and Blizz worked on all of the polish they're so good at. Just make a f2p MTGO with Blizzard-tier graphics, animations, and sounds, and it'd be perfect.

Don't get me wrong - the Hearthstone Client is great and much superior to all the alternatives, but the game itself isn't. Cards like Imp-losion are basically a diceroll on winning or losing the game, the difference between rolling 2dmg+2imps or rolling 4dmg+4imps is just that high.
