I'm not having much luck with running strikes and popping one on the third, or running patrols, killing the three taken champions, popping one, and then killing the ultra. It takes 5 ish for either method for an exotic to drop. Is that par for the course?

Also, crucible 3oc? Is worth?

The problem with every encounter in King s Fall except for Golg and Sisters is that it's twice as long as it needs to be.

Things in Destiny that take a long time, inevitably end up being fucked up somehow because of the weird damage scaling and just straight probability. It's like, standing on one leg for q minute might not be too difficult, but two minutes leaves more room for you to get complacent and fuck up.

This rule applies to everything in Destiny that takes more than a couple of minutes. Oracles, Skolas, Totems, Warpriest, and worst of all, Oryx. This is of course assuming you're not at a level where these activities are trivial.

Shit is 320 light during the Oryx fight on HM so they can actually hurt you and there's a new knight that spawns after every Orge goes down that tries to kill the bomb. It's the platform guy's job to kill the knight for his orge so platform guys can't just crouch in the middle of their platform to negate all damage. Axion bolts and acolyte eyes in particular can fuck you up.

Also, Orges can lag teleport sometimes.
You can get pulled into the shadow realm right under the shade as it slams.
Then there's all the weird bullshit Destiny can pull, I splattered a guy against a wall by bubbling beside him once.
Slap on perma-death and suddenly a hard mode attempt can be ruined by the stupidest shit.

But it all likelihood, you probably contributed a whole hell of a lot less than you thought you did. 290~ isn't that bad for Oryx, but the difference in strength in the LL 290-310 range is insane and then from 310-315 is also quite significant.

You not dying doesn't mean you contributed more, it just means you didn't take away from the experience. It's like someone in League who goes 0/0/0 and then chastises the other players on their team for dying.

I'd read all these posts about suros regime not being any good anymore, so I never bothered using it in PvP, until this banner when I took it into crucible because it's my highest light weapon. Combined with a sidearm, I find it pretty powerful, and forgiving for a low k/d shitter like me, and I've had some good games this banner, raised my kd by .2, even won a few games for my team.

It might be a slower kill or a dps reduction out whatever for a top tier player, but I think for players close to the average, .0008 of a second ttk doesn't really make a lot of difference, because we're all just spamming each other to death with 4 and 5 shot kills anyway.

I'll agree on Oracles, and getting to Skolas is a pain, but it's certain modifiers that really fuck you on that encounter (Lightswitch), despite all the other things going on there. For everything else, it feels about right for the length of time when things are going smoothly.

I think that the skilled players thing is what gets forgotten in these discussions. The weapon changes and optimizations only really matter I'd you're really good. If you look at the damage graphs from when they "nerfed" pulse rifles, the damage was completely unchanged if you were relying on body shots for most of your hits - it's still
4 bursts to kill. But if you're landing every shot as a headshot, pulses are now a whole burst slower. I don't think weapon choice and meta calculations matter much to the average player.

tl;dr you only notice the MIDA you get killed with, you don't notice the other 20 mooks you kill who bought a MIDA because it's The Thing and now they can't use it.

i ads and shoot normally at very long range, hipfire at fast-medium speed at mid range and i either hip fire shoot very fast or ads hold down the trigger at close range

hip fire head shots are cool and all but if it costs you a hit you messed up, hip fire body shots will 3 hit kill a low armor target but if i see a titan or warlock i usually just ads and hold down the trigger because ill need 4 shots hipfire without a headshot and i will be able to consistenly get headshots while ads at close range cutting it back down to 3 shots

the gun is really really strong for its low ttk and lucky 2 shots but it is fucking terrible if you cant judge the best way to use it at the time

Shoulder charge is totally viable if you don't go at them head on. Flank them, and try to get them while they're busy with teammates.

Nah, Light level makes a huge difference. In The Dungeons map that little back drop hole behind B, I was camping the drop with my 316 Rocket Launcher. My current overall Light Level is 304, a 312 Light Titan tanked the first direct hit rocket. He managed to throw a Fusion Grenade stick before I got the second rocket out, so we traded.

Depends how gud you get with the perk. Thats how useful it is. Same with Bellicose, if you never practice with the perk then it will end up being pretty useless.

Once you get the hang of the perk it can save your ass and get you out of sticky situations really quickly. Best if youre using a close-quarters build with a strong primary or shotgunning.

If you're just after loot and 3oC farming, the regular playlist is faster and easier. There may be a better dip rate for strike specific loot on heroic, but nobody knows, and farming the perfect imago loop is something to do when you're bored of literally everything else, including life.

You're one hundred precent mistaken as to what the strikes are called. The fastest Strike in the game right now is Summoning Pits, first of all, and even if we were to go by TTK strikes, the fastest would without a doubt be Shield Brothers.

There are a minimum of two gated encounters in Undying. I don't know if you're talking about Restorative because I've never played it but even with skips Undying is one of the longer strikes.
