Someone said in one thread the reason XBC is a standalone game was because Takahashi was afraid Nintendo would fuck him and his story over like Squaresoft and Bamco did back in the day. Xenogears and XenoSaga were both imagined as 6-part series.

Since XBCX is left so open-ended maybe he WILL make a sequel but the story structure will be different? More akin to something like Fallout (structure, not quality) since he has gone on record to say how much he likes the scope of Fallout and stuff like that.

But if I had to guess a story I'm guessing one of the other Ark's (one from Japan probably) will have actual humans and not mimeosomes since in one of Lara Nara's quests you find a Lifehold Cell with transmissions from another ark that the White Whale received before the crash landing on Mira. It proves humans aren't quite extinct yet.

I hate to say this, but the Ether Blossom Dance (longsword/dual guns) is arguably the strongest combo in the game. It's the tyrant in the ganglion antropolis. He's not hard to kill per se, it's just that he's got a lot of annoying attacks, and he floats over a pit full of water that will kill your overdrive dead. You need need need some way to do extra limb damage though.

Rank 8 psychorruptor here, about to start chapter 5. Anyone got any tips on using my statuses more effectively? I love putting things to sleep and brainjacking when there are multiple enemies, but my team wakes everything up instantly since they don't have feather touch. What should I be doing differently to make better use of my statuses?
Also do I get a teammate that is able to heal the party really well? My repair and recuperate just aren't enough when I'm fighting higher level enemies.

Man I'm so glad the only thing I need to do is just get 100K mira in storage and I haven't even beaten the main story yet. Also I'm surprise how fast the story gets after chapter 8. All the other Chapters felt slow as shit as I was trying to raise affinity and now the game is going speed mode on me as most of them only need 3 or 4 hearts for their affinity missions.

You can craft it at post-game. There are 4 colour variations: black, red, silver/purple and gold.

Theres a bunch you can't get until flying, but only like 2-3 per zone. All the others are obtainable with either foot or normal skell jumping and wall climbing.

Even though you can't 100% early, I absolutely suggest getting them as they are convinent. Getting the extra credits and miranium is great early on. All my AMs were level 5 early and I never struggled with credits.

Plus exploring is amazing for leveling.

Need to correct myself on this. For the gold set, which I have equipped, you need the following:


Gold Ygg Heart = 5 * 636 tickets
Ygg Gold = 10 * 516 tickets
Noble Ygg Scale = 150 * 396 tickets
Dagahn's Adamant Band = 10 * 162 tickets
Fossilized bone = 25 * 138 tickets
Unlucky black whisket = 35 * 138
Foucaultium = 5 (received through mining probes)

So if you're just using reward tickets and nothing else (no farming of the farmable stuff such as Fossilized Bone), you'll need 77,640 tickets. If you're doing Ygg Zero runs (~850-1000 tickets per run), you'd need to do approximately 91 runs.

I spent about a day just getting that set. Was it worth it? Well, I'm using it as fashion gear, so yeah, it was worth it.

Mine's called the "True" set (True Comm/Plastron/Bangle R/Bangle L/Cords).

Black one's called the "Reginal" set.

Not sure about the red or silver/purple variations, but one's called the "Regal" set (I'm assuming that's the red one), while the other one's called the "Infinite" set (probably the silver/purple one).

You'll be able to craft the set, alongside superweapons and the most powerful Skells after you finish the main story. They can all be found in the "Develop New Gear" section of the AM Terminal.

If you're talking about what combination of weapons does the most damage, unfortunately, memesword's the best (ether longsword with dual guns -> Blossom Dance for damage and Zero Zero for TP gain).

I've done some simple experimentation with Galactic Cataclysm, and eye tests have shown that it still pales in comparison to the former build, even with Beam Boost + Astrolibrium.

Also, an anon in a previous thread (I think 4 or 5 threads ago) provided an explanation as to why Blossom Dance outdamages everything else. Basically, enemy resistance is ignored + scales really well with potential + usable with the longsword (I think it has one of the, if not the highest melee weapon power) + hits multiple times with a very high base scale.

I still wouldn't use it, 'cause I'm stubborn and I want my character to be slightly unique at least. Besides, none of those weapons have Starlight Kick, and I'm roleplaying as Melia

Grab the two cannons for cheap if you have a long way till level 30. The swords will do too. You should buy a sword for giant damage too. The point of a level 20 Skell is largely to absorb some damage and deal big hits. Its invaluable to level up lower level party members of farm Class exp without dealing with shit skills

Aura Assault raises Melee Attack stat 30%, which doesn't affect TP arts like Blossom Dance and Galactic Cataclysm. Background noise isn't really viable either because most people solo at end game and stand in place while in overdrive. Inner Search or Night Vision are more practical.

hello /xbcxg/ i just made a spread sheet for the AM terminal. it is a wip and atm it has all the info about how much material and how many tickets you will need to make a skell, protective gears (this one is 90% done)

i will continue working on this for skell weapon (maybe only for lv 60 version) and useful augments, also adding more information about skell (hp, bias, evasion, res ect)

Most non-mechanoid 61+ monsters can drop it. Kill Feliciano or Joker if you want to grind only weapons and not armor. Electric javelins don't get Weapon Attack Up. Best would probably be Potential Up, Potential Boost, and third trait can be whatever. I suppose Melee Accuracy or Melee:Shock would be optimal.

Anything below 65 will drop worn shit regularly, and anything below 68 will still drop whatever the weapon equivalent of regal is for whatever you're looking for. If you want Ultimate Infinite equivalent weapons you'll want to kill stuff that's at the very least 65.

The visigels around ygg are much better since you're not going to sifting through 100 worn items after every fight.
