>DARK SOULS 2
Still not finished with this build yet, need to get the Third Dragon Ring, Royal Soldier's Ring +2 and RoB+2. I could probably one shot a few bosses if I get lucky with Engraved Cuffs I think.
SO with the power of friendship i beat the fire demon thing with the fire sword in the iron keep and thats like meant to be done in the end of the game?
At the next bonfire but whats past the next door after?
If i did this first does that mean i should now go back and do the area where the pryo lady was stoned now?
Is Undead Burg busy yet or what? Last time I went there I was just getting like the same 2/3 people so I went back to Township, but now here I'm only getting the same few people.
Also Witchking of Angmar are you lagging like fuck or am I lagging like fuck? Who here's got the Mexican internet?
The only really obscure place is Castle Cainhurst and honestly it's not more complex than Painted World. Everywhere else you just have to explore thoroughly to find.
how about we not spoonfeed the guy who looks up shit wikis then gets confused because he's on a wiki for his first playthrough
just let him spoil the experience for himself or have him actually play the fucking game not knowing what's going on every second
>great idea: bind jump to a different key than dash
>but jump is short as fucking shit
>great idea: powerstancing
>but it’s slower and takes more stamina for minimally more damage, also needs 1.5x the reqs
>great idea: guardbreak ripostes
>but guardbreak is slow as shit, noone with half a braincell gets hit
ds2 had such a shitty dev team
>wanna leave console running in other room over night to finish downloading
>worried it might catch on fire while i'm asleep and burn the house down or something
Anyone else had this feeling?
the game is fun and im not using the wiki too much but its fucking hard though, Im now passed the door and iron keep is orange, but there are fucking no summon signs.
Is the online just dead for this game or is the online really shitty?
Senpai pls notice me edition.
Dark Souls 1 Fight Club on PC starting soon. Get your game loaded up now so you can build nodes.
PC, my region is US but this shouldn't matter.
In Undead Burg.
Area to place your signs is right outside of the bonfire.
Put down a RED Soapstone sign and wait to be summoned. DO NOT SPAM YOUR SIGN. This will only guarantee the summons will fail. Place the sign and leave it alone.
If you do NOT have a Red Soapstone Sign, then you can either:
Attempt to invade if you are below level 100.
Place a White/Gold summon sign if you are 100-144.
Feel free to post your name/screenshot if you want confirmation that I see your sign. I try to rotate people in and out.
I will be starting up in about 15 minutes or so. This gives you plenty of time to load your game and build nodes.
/v/ thread here: >>>/v/322416306
i highly doubt that there's anything so flammable in your room that a console could catch it on fire
if they were able to catch things that easily there'd be so many freaking labels on them
>the iron keep and thats like meant to be done in the end of the game?
You're not even halfway through the game, stop using the fucking wiki ffs or if you do, stop asking questions you already know the answers to (by looking at the wiki).
>Get summoned to the fight club
>Oh boy oh boy I'm the first one here!
>I'm so excited I think I'll try out something other than my barbarian cosplay!
>Switch to Iron Golem cosplay
>Oh boy oh boy!
>Die in 2 hits
Okay so first time ever playing a mage in any Souls game, in SoTFS. Been following what a friend told me: Getting 12 strength asap to use the Mace from Lenigrast as well as a decent shield, then:
Getting 2nd Soul Arrow from Hag Merchant, Greater Soul Arrow from the Ballista room in Forest of Fallen Giants, kill Dragonrider and opening up Huntsman's Copse and getting Dark Orb from the Hex seller. He tells me I won't need any other spells until Soul Geyser.
So after that's done, what should I dump my stats into? I was assuming vig/end/vit until comfortable, then slam down on the Int, but I don't know what Hexes scale off
tl;dr help a first time pve mage
Guess i'm moving to the semi finals of this scrub mode tournmanet. NEXT
Is there an event happening right now? What game where what sm/lvl?
I usually do pure magic damage and the bare minimum stats for the weapon I want to use enchanted with magic paths whichever is best for whichever game. Then I get enough endurance and equip load for whatever gear I want to use, I keep it cloth and rely on dodging is key. I usually go with the highest physical damage reduction shield I can find, in DaS that's the silver knight shield or black shield. If you want a pvp specific mage build it totally depends, but for pve I just go as much intel and attunement as necessary for boss nukes
You can get Soul Spears to shit on bosses with in Huntsman's Copse too. Get 95 Agility through ATN so you have extra iframes when dodging and extra slots to attune more scrolls. you will most likely not need a lot of end or vit as you'll probably want to use the lion mage set for increased casting speed.
Hexes scale off your lowest of either INT or FAI, level them up equally if you want to use hexes. Hexes are slightly stronger than magic but the most powerful hexes cost souls to cast. The most powerful, climax, costs all of your currently held souls to cast.
OK so I just killed Mytha, but I had to use a guide to do it. My question is this; how are you supposed to know to burn the windmill down to drain the poison? Was there a clue I missed somewhere? It seems like a completely un-intuitive mechanic.
How should I build for a fun and decent hex user? Having to level both int and fth cost a lot for early game and I'd like to have some decent weapon too, not mentionning ADB to dodge or the stats for a shield or some good armor.
a fun and decent hex build would be a dark sacred chime hammer build. 40 str, 12 dex to one-hand that thing and otherwise just level up int and faith to your hearts content. I have a 800k sm char for co-opping and invading who uses that build, it's pretty fun, although i'd only describe it as "decent".
Adark longsword build is pretty solid, probably the best there is, but that shit gets old real fast in my opinion.
Summon me when you get it, i'm taking a piss
>gets shit on
get outta town you scrublord, the only reason you lost is because he's better, simple as that.
>Want one last fight before I go to bed
>Waiting around for a while to get summoned to fight club
>Ah, this is taking too long, Bone Man must have summoned all the phantoms he can
>Quit Dark Souls
>As the screen fades to black, 'you are being summoned' pops up
Again maybe I'm just blind but I couldn't see the summon sign since the area was filled with poison. Are you sure the sign is visible under the poison?
No, I already killed the boss. My point was, how are you supposed to know to burn the windmill WITHOUT looking it up first.
I feel overlevelled as fuck in Dark Souls 2 but I've done no grinding whatsoever
I just got done with the giant's memories and am now starting the DLC at level 123
Is that too much? I remember only being around 60 or 70 at the end of other souls games
Didn't find the fire longsword; I was going to upgrade the mace or get the Craftsman's Hammer in Bastille eventually but that might be too much of a str investment.
Alright so since it seems I'll be using sorcery & hexes I guess I'd keep int and faith even. I wanted to try using Lightning Spear but
Okay then, agility/health/equip load until comfortable, keeping it in light gear, faith and int even for hexes. Any particular weapon reccomendations besides what's been mentioned? (Mace in Huntsman's Copse/Fire Longsword)
Right click Dark Souls in the library and go to properties, betas, check to see that it says "no betas"
If your game title does not have [dsptde 2.0] next to it then you're good to go
I really just want to baby step my way back into Dark Souls
Ellie sleeping on the job, tsk tsk.
Stoic, yet playful.
After finding the old knight's halberd i noticed that when 2-handing, the little red X is gone. It has a 16 str requirement and i have 10 strength
doesn't 2handing add 1.5x my str level, making my new strength 15, and still not high enough to effectively use it? what gives?
Wait for me to finish gesturing first please, that will get you nowhere
just a demon firesage, im sure there was more than one
Back in the good old days pre-1.08 calibration, lightning spears were so retardedly broken. 10 casts per scroll and dealth 15-20% more damage. Offensive miracles are pretty much garbage now, but the support miracles are quite useful if you want to help the host while being a sunbro.
Strike damage in general is very strong in PvE. for weapons I would use something light and not requiring much investment into dex. As mentioned, the fire longsword is an extremely solid starting weapon, and even has slightly more damage due to an increased fire bonus from levelling int and fai. Other notable weapons off the top of my head that are fairly easy to obtain include a Varangian Sword
available in No Man's Wharf, the zone after Heide's Tower, the Falchion sold by Blacksmith Lenigrast or the long armed fucks in No Man's Wharf drop them. To be perfectly honest, the first weapon you find that has a reasonable dexterity requirement should be sufficient. If you're not confident enough yet to not use a shield, get the strength to one hand the weapon too.
In DaS2, your the weapon's strength requirement is halved when determening if you can wield a weapon, rounded down.
e.g, you need 12 str to 2 hand a weapon that requires 25 str to wield.
bunnedweekly. Just repot him when he's on and we've got a good week without him.
So we've got until about next
weekend, or until he starts posting from his tablet again
The contrary, when 2 handing a weapon, its strength requirement is halved. This means that your dexterity will more likely be the higher stat compared to strength. A broadsword for example, requires 11 str and 6 dex. If you were to 2 hand it, it now requires 5 str and 6 dex.
This is assuming you want to optimise your stats to autistic heights to make every level count. Playing with no shield and 2 handing your weapon, switching to 1h + staff when you want to cast a spell is possibly the best use of your levels possible. It also encourages you to git gud at rolling and not relying on a shield, as some enemies and bosses wont give a fuck how much stability your shield has
If you are not in the covenant, I am 90% sure they do not count. Sorry for your loss.
If it makes you feel better, you can kill the mad warrior that spawns in Bellfry Sol if you are a BellEnd to increase your kills by 1 every time.
Starting a new file on DaS2.
I never managed to beat the game, partially because I had to reformat after a major error and lost my saves and shit.
I have no idea what kind of build to do, help
maybe someone can help
I recently moved into a new apartment and haven't had time enough to get my internet installed (getting it next week). In the meantime, I've noticed my neighbor has Comcast so they have an open Xfinity wifi hotspot behind a paywall. I changed my MAC address and now I can access that connection, and then I use my laptop as a hotspot to access the connection on my phone and xbox.
The issue is, I can't play multiplayer with the hotspot on my xbox. I get bloodstains and messages from other players, and I can access Netflix and so on, but my invasions and summons fail indefinitely. I tried bridging so my devices appear directly on the original connection rather than my pseudo hotspot, but then my devices can't even connect because they're not being assigned IP addresses, and when I do it manually I can't connect to the internet.
I'm not sure what to try next. I think it might have to do with the xfinity connection itself, but I'm not sure what. Also I had multiplayer working for a few hours a week or two ago, but I haven't been able to figure out what I did to get it working.
any ideas? i just want to rake in medals while the saleplayers are still here
>Host can't pee without getting killed.
That's a good way to get yourself not summoned. Also there goes our prism stones.
There are a lot of white signs anon so that doesn't help.
Do you want to shitstomp the game? Get the Craftsman's Hammer from Mcduff's Workshop (light the sconce in his room and rest at the bonfire to get him off the chest)
Do you want to have
fun? Make a ultra greatweapon build, grab the Greatsword from No Man's Wharf or the largest weapon you can find and bonk people until there are no more people left to bonk. I found that as long as I didnt minmax to dizzyingly autistic levels, levelled up / upgraded whatever I wanted and used soul vessels to change my stats if I wanted to, I had much more enjoyment that lasted me to NG+4 so far. Take some time out to do some PvP or co-op, write stupid messages everywhere, especially tongue but hole.
Some dude with a big head came in and rekt me when I rekt Moon. It's this dude, he hacks
How much do I need to level up STR and DEX to be able to use the halberd with both hands? Wasn't it 50% of the requirement?
on my way to grab a greatbow from the special merchant in bastille
shooting people off the walls of the bastille never gets old
Hmm, okay. I'll go with a massive ultraweapon thingy then.
I think I used an Anvil before and it was fun as fuck and had an amazing 2handed heavy attack but wasn't for my build back then.
Do not worry about it at all, you can always re-allocate your stats with a Soul Vessel, 3 or 4 are found early on in the game for these exact reasons. Don't be worried if you aren't optimizing your character as much as possible, it doesn't make a lot of difference if you're not dedicating that character for PvP.
The handholding is fine, I kinda wished someone had the patience to teach me the ins and outs of the games when I started. I got so mad I couldn't bring myself to play it for like 2 months when I first tried it. I'm writing a guide for co-op because it'll be easier to just send them a link than have to type the shit about soul memory again and again.
how is duke getting continuous summons while I get none QQ
>want to boot up Ds2
>don't want to close Ds1 because I'll just have to build nodes the next time I relaunch it
here she is a little while ago grabbing the chloranthy ring wearing basic, comfy if a little smelly from the hollow who owned it gear
rolling without points in adaptibility is hard but i really want to get that bow as early as possible so im dumping points into str/dex
Yo, guys, how important is high faith if I want to use miracles? I was thinking of Skeptic's Spicing Lightning Blade to buff, but I don't know whether it'd be a decent investment with relatively low faith.
If you learn to roll at 85 agility, you will realistically never need to waste levels in ADP if you are PvEing again. It's a useful skill to learn.
ADP / ATN increase agility. Agility affects how many iframes you get while rolling or backstepping and how quickly you pull out your Sunny D and other items. To get as many iframes as you get fastrolling in DaS1 you need 105 agility. 96 Agility will give you sufficient iframes to roll through most attacks with ease.
A full list of breakpoints can be found here
>progressing steadily into a level
>fuck up and die, no big deal it happens
>on my way back to collect souls
>suddenly every enemy within a 10 mile radius aggros me the second I set foot in a room
>enemies literally joining in the fight from 1-2 rooms away
>get mobbed by 3, 4 or even 5 enemies
I really want to enjoy dark souls 2 but when stuff like this happens I just can't be bothered. It's not frustrating so much as it's tedious. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that there are probably at least triple the number of enemies in an area compared to the first game.
WHAT THE FUCK CONTROLLER JESUS CHRIST I SAID L2 NOT SQUARE+LEFT+RIGHT
i like your style, why'd you switch to drangleic?
>Running through Shulva
>At least 4 ghost sanctum knights chasing me
>tfw they never corrected the fuck horrib run button
IF YOU WANT TO RUN, BE SURE TO PRESS THE BUTTON 6 SECONDS BEFORE THE ACTUAL TIME YOU WANT TO RUN
>yfw C E corrects this but gets you
Same shit with agaping without the ring. Players corrected FROMs mistakes and they give the players shit for it.
Pretty much, you also get a slight health increase levelling every other stat too. You could spend like 3 levels as a cleric to gain 3 more iframes (85->86 agi) but as a bandit you have to invest 9 or so levels before you increase agi by even 1 point as your base ADP and ATN are so shitty. 9 levels is fairly significant at very low / very high SM and I feel if you're confident to still be able to dodge without the extra iframes they're better spent elsewhere.
Now I dont know what the BB dlc added to the lore and story and i only got so far but i know how loose the lore and plot was, dark souls 2 has not even the theme (bloodbrone is taken from H. P. Lovecraft mystery bullshit) but dont get me wrong bloodbrone must of been rushed because the lore and overall idea is a mess (Its a fucking dream in a dream and in a dream again) but basing this off of dark souls 2 and BB will dark souls 3 even have a plot?
I dont get it dark souls HAD a baseline plot you can follow, you had characters explaining the world and what is going on. and then you get the dragon to finally explain your goal. BB has nothing of that and even less this game (dk2) has even less of a over arching plot besides areas that stop, then you go to another area then stop, then another and it seems all you do is collect 4 souls and you beat the final areas.
So what do you think was dark souls 3 rushed or completely made by b team or will it have lore and plot/goal?
Will it actually make me keep going and beat the game?
Miyazaki is the president of Fromsoft now
Dark Souls 2 was made by the B-team specifically because Miyazaki refused to rush his new Dark Souls (now being made as 3) or Bloodborne out the door before they were ready
We ultimately don't know how much DaS2 or BB's quality or quantity or style of content will carry over into Dark Souls 3 but it's had by far the biggest development respect of any game in the series.
Mizzerhart, why are you bum rush camping my spawn? Are you that mad that I wiped the floor with you 3 times in a row?
I've honestly never seen anybody with the Bone Wheel, OR use Vow of Silence. GG.
Lol, literally as I was typing this post >>127292170. Dude is salty as fuck!
My framerate keeps kicking me offline so sadly I can't join the FC
just as well it seems I'm dogshit at DaS1 pvp
>game crashed while getting summoned
Oh good. Probably from somebody with some fucked up Steam ID. Welp, Moon Guardian switchin over to DS2.
>Playing Demon's Souls for the first time
>Decide to play as the Old Monk before finishing the game
>Manage to beat all these magic users while going sword and board
why is that people like the vanilla Greatsword in DaS2 so much? it feels really awkward to use (I don't want to attack towards where I accidentally moved half a step towards), it weighs a fuckton, and it has an awful 2H moveset, along with its shitty tracking.
i still had fun despite the fact that i suck
thanks for the FC, bone man, until next time
that 4 person winning streak was pure luck
It has higher damage compared to most weapons in the game for how easy it is to get, and has a fantastic moveset for PvE. Dogshit for PvP against anybody with brain cells though
pretty sure I lost to you twice, wtf kind of damage is that wep/SL? never seen that kind of dps from a straight sword before. Haven't played in a long time but logged like 250hrs in back when it was released. I had a bow out at one point on accident
it only really has the proportions right. even then, the Crypt Blacksword looks a lot more like the Dragonslayer, it's just a bit shorter than the Dragonslayer. the Crypt Blacksword also has a GREAT 2H moveset (that roll catches most people off guard), relatively ok requirements (probably a bit much as a backup for a hexer, but it's easy to 2H) and massive damage.
Rotten isn't hard at all though, easiest mid-game boss
admittedly it requires a bit of stat investment, but it's easily worth it, especially with dark infusion + dark weapon + dark clutch ring (which is easy to rush midgame)
>spider crawling on my desk during spider boss
Yeah, but I'm not talking planned builds. People pick Greatsword because it's quick and easy, while also being good. Plus the one-handed moveset is good for crowds, which also benefits people who use shields all the time. Greatsword only requires you to kill one boss, Dragonrider, who is obviously the easiest boss in the game
don't tell Woolie and Pat that though
Just got this for cheap this week.
What are the correct numbers on break points for rolling?
Some sites say it's 29, 39, 49, 59, and 69.
Others says it scales by 1 point each so 42 is a bit further than 41, etc.
Some are saying that it's 29, 39, 49, (54 has a faster roll) 55-59 is slower, then 69.
What's going on? What is right since 1 . 10?
Every site says something different. Has anyone got this down already?
>D S 2
Finally got you Noname you piece of shit ;)
Spell tool, a fast weapon that can poke (thrusting sword) or parry (curved sword)
I would be inclined to believe that there are no intermediates between hard iframe increases. The game had a huge problem with durability loss for each frame your weapon was in contact with a monster or ragdoll that caused effectively double expected durability loss on PC vs consoles. DaS2 vanilla iframes, jumps and other various weird shit were tied to framerate so I doubt there are intermediates. I would use http://darksouls2.wiki.fextralife.com/Agility as it has seemed correct for me.
fuck i just got the expansion for dark souls 2 (on pc of course), never actually beat it base game.
yet i have bloodborne and never actually beat it either.
In 2 days i got farther than i did in bloodborne because i havent touched it in ages.
So fuck now im 2 games in and all over the place and DK3 is coming out in fucking like 3 months.
He's not talking about i frames. It looks like he's talking about roll distance break point bonuses for lower weight.
There's a bunch of differing info out there so it is confusing. Fextra is the worst place to go though. Tons of incorrect info that's never corrected.
Where did the 50-54 roll thing come from? Been seeing this a lot recently but it doesn't seem to make sense (tried it, no difference 50-59?)
Isn't he just talking about the roll distance reductions at heavier weight? Doesn't it just go by 10 each time? 29 and under is a point, then 39 and under, 59 and under, then 69 isn't it?
Where are you guys getting 54 from?
So since Dark Souls 3 is the last souls game what do you think will happen from here? Do you think they'll ever make another souls like game again? Miyazaki says he wants from to start being more focused on making new things. I hope this isn't the last of the souls like games.
Hey Noname. Try and not commit suicide in your sleep and same goes for you Thief (stick with your babbie tank weapons, don't bother trying dex weapons or else pic related happens).
Good night sweet princes, Good night :^)
Good night, had fun having you in Fight Club until you decided you wanted to ruin it for everyone else.
Hope you enjoyed all the (You)'s you got today.
A-And maybe one of these days you'll n-notice me, baka desu senpai!
>tfw invading early in FotFG using the cracked red eye orbs you can get early on in the game
Shh, shh. Sweet dreams.
Oh yea, and Bone.
It was me that rekt you, family.
my concept, "dark transmogrification": http://mmdks.com/7vcj
employs a fast-paced style with using the bow as bait then slicing them up with your CB (or maybe claymore if you're feeling a little dangerous)
>tfw bored of build
>no soul vessel
i'm told that nigga in majula is supposed to give me a vessel after a number of people move back, but I've got at least four NPCs here and he aint givin me SHIT.
they literally communicated facts to me through written words
i was literally told
this is how definitions work
it says nothing about being direct
you can't just make things up
Be a knight or a knight + magic gimmick.
You will look the coolest and that will make you want to play more.
I got a soul vessel from him.
If you're co-opping, sure.
If it's any PvP, you don't want to melt when that greatsword air hits you. Not to mention a great part of DaS2 PvP is fucking trades, so having a bit of extra HP for that katana friend can be a duel winner.
>mfw losing my 180k souls in Tomb of the Giants
>mfw doing the same shit hours later in Crystal Cave
DaS should be under the genre platforming
jesus christ who thought invisible bridges and pitch black darkness was a good idea
At least in pokemon they gave you the means (flash) before you had to make your way through
Here the only two items that help is the sunlight maggot which no first time player would have at that point, or the fucking skull lantern (which to be fair you do get early on when patches kicks you down) but what the fuck are you supposed to do until that point, fucking playing slide ninja slide on american coffins
DaS2 has been sitting in my library for half a year, and I just picked it up a week ago.
Currently at Skeleton Lords and the Pursuer; having a rough-ish time since I've currently yet to beat a boss without cheesing it.
Lv. 45 right now. Just learned today that I'm leveling entirely wrong--started as Cleric and have been trying to balance Str/Dex/Int/Faith/whatever gives me more spell slots.
How salvageable is my character?
So helpful! That surely is enough for everyone to make it through easily!
Fucking bullshit when two giant skellingtons pop up on either side with no fucking warning since they're around a fucking corner and proceed to ram their swords into you from both ends until you die
Been using them since it became an issue.
Can't imagine how D S 2 would have been without them.
>tfw never lost a single soul
Because fuck chinks trying to ruin my
>Perfect builds every time
Is this not worth a few seconds of your time?
Seriously between that, and if you really want to just keep the game from auto saving, why wouldn't you invest a few minutes in learning how to do this?
It makes the game infinitely more
enjoyablenever having to worry about garbage like this.
>tfw still not really good
But fuck it, it's enjoyable still
I've looked around already, but I just want to check in;
If I am a dex-hex build, is the Fume Sword worth wasting my petrified dragon bones on?
or, I don't know, I'll look up what people say about the roaring halbred...
If you have high DEX, high INT and high FTH, fume sword would be a nice weapon because it has A dex scaling and B dark scaling when infused and fully upgraded. Roaring halberd only has high dark scaling.
Not really sure why you'd want to go "dex-hex" though. It seems like you'll be spreading your stats too thin. Pure magic builds melee just fine.
>played through Dark souls 1 and 2 in the last month for the first time
>just started Demon's Souls tonight
>killed two bosses
>already enjoying it more than Dark Souls 2
God damn Dark Souls 2 fucking sucks.
it's for pve and whatever else I don't think is worth building a new character over
I'm just stingy about those special materials. I almost have 30 bones, so I could splurge on one weapon if I were actually going to use it.
You do have a point. Maybe I'll hold off on serious weapon stuff for now.
>Complain that the game isn't gud
>Anor Londo archers
>Parry the knight.
>He falls off backwards during the animation.
>So naturally when I press R1 I do an attack and fall forward too.
I've died here a million times over the course of years but honestly this is the first time I've done everything right and still died.
>I'm just stingy about those special materials.
In that case, you can find some normal-titanite weapons with S or A dex scaling. When infused, they'll give you the same double-dip scaling like fume sword. e.g. Blacksteel katana
I don't understand how anyone could have trouble with the archers after their first playthrough.
Kill the spear demons by staying to the far end where their arrows can't reach you first.
Then just run up so their arrows miss you.
Then you stand there while the archer falls off like a retard while the other one can't hit you.
Then you go bitch slap the other one or just skip him if you want.
You literally don't even have to attack, just keep walking back and forwards to dodge his arrows until he pulls out his sword and commits sudoku.
For a first-time player struggling with bosses: should I learn how to fight them the same way I learn Monster Hunter battles? Because I feel that if my goal is to have the most fun while being challenged to hell and back, that'd be going the wrong way about it.
>You literally don't even have to attack, just keep walking back and forwards to dodge his arrows until he pulls out his sword and commits sudoku.
Do you have a video? That doesn't seem easy to replicate.
what the fuck? im guessing you walk right up to him, just stay against the wall and roll to dodge his arrows until he falls off. it's happened every time in my playthroughs, no matter if I'm trying to do it on purpose or not
You said the game's still not really good. Unless I'm misunderstanding you and you meant that you still haven't gotten gud. Either way, I'm glad that you're able to enjoy the game.
>tfw rolling around naked with robflynn and chloranthy with great club+10 is extremely efficient
i really hope they make armor useful in dark souls 3. in das1 and 2 i always end up naked because it's just easier to dodge than tank everything, and it should be the opposite imo.
i just want to wear the cool armor without rolling like a fucking cube ):<
>Not really a gud player (B o B
rank 3but doesn't mean gud player, just B o B gud which doesn't mean much with so many mediocre players
>Still have a lot of fun
He was done so well, although
Alright jesus christ, I'm so fucking autistic that I went ahead and booted up DaS, warped to Anor londo and tried it out.
Yep, sure enough, after a few seconds of rolling against the wall to dodge his arrows, he pulls out his sword, tries to attack, and falls off.
So here's my paint diagram I just drew up.
In that position, he'll shoot at you once or twice and then pull out his sword, try to attack, and fall off. All this time, all you gotta do, is just dodge his arrows by rolling or shielding. Don't tell me it doesn't work because I literally just did it.
>Find the room with the Sanctum Knight bodies
HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKERS! hurrah for revenge!
>Go back outside and see everyone dual wielding crossbows
When it was my first time, I lost about 20 humanity summoning people who all died faster than me and left me trying to win against 200% health
Eventually after about 40 or so tries, I beat them solo.
Wow really? My first playthrough I got frustrated, summon two phantoms and the fight was over much faster than me wittling them down on my own.
Then again I only played through it a couple weeks ago for the first time, so maybe at that point people have perfected cooping for O&S
here are my gays as you requested
In what order should i do the ds2 DLC?
I know people say release order but i also see mentioned that one has a more spectacular ending and should be left last and i don't want to spoil which one is it.
I think they're talking about the last DLC. At least that what I felt.
Difficulty-wise, I felt Brume tower is hardest because every room had a gimmick that you need to either YOLO or diffuse it slowly.
The closest DS2 comes to 1 is in FotFG because every encounter is an ambush
Thank god DS2 drops that gimmick in favor of groups with specific agro ranges that you can pull by just walking instead of the ambush/ambush/ambush/ambush/ambush/1 large guy in armor/ambush ambush/ambush with enemies that walk through walls/dragon asses
You MAY get banned. Some have been softbanned while using x360ce, others have not. It seems bans are handled on a case by case basis probably by real people at fromsoft. Depends on who you get that day and how they're feeling.
>GHOST NEAR CHEST IN SHADED RUINS OUT OF NOWHERE FUCKING DESTROYED THE CHEST WITH A PETRIFIED BONE
Yes, personally I use the longsword for the majority of the game.
You can get the Large Ember required to upgrade your weapons to Normal +10 in the Depths. The Basement Key is found on a corpse near the lever that unlocks the gate near the Undead Parish Church. From there, make your way back across the bridge to where Solaire was staring at the sun and unlock the door. Go down the ladder to Lower Undead Burg. Enjoy getting your asshole torn in 2 by the Capra Demon for the key to the Depths.
Thoughts on this build for assisting people in Heide's Tower to shit on Dragonslayer / Dragonrider?
Final equip weight is 28/60.19 with Dragon Armor. I'll probably have to use ascetics to farm the Dragon Scales from Aldia's Keep as I doubt I'll get many Dragon Eye fights at such low SM.
>Kill Petrus once he starts making dodgy threats
>Go see if waifu will hate me or not
>She's not there
>Randomly find her later hollowed out while questing
My chest physically hurt just a little bit.
i've seen like 3 or 4 and let me tell you, it's not fun. other than the uniqueness of the occurrence that is. the only one that didn't fuck me up was at the depths because i had managed to kill the doggos first
Can anyone post the roll a build image for ds2?
Here's the DS1 one.
Guide for the Dark Souls 3 fanbase:
1. Don't insult DaS1
2. Don't compliment DaS2
3. Don't make game design comparisons between DaS2 and DeS e.g. lifegems and grass, dying reduces your total health percentage. DeS is flawless because it's platform exclusive and the oldest game in the series.
4. Don't mention DaS2 unless you are actively shitting on it
5. Make sure you state that any given thing in DaS3 is "like DaS1/DeS", so that you aren't insinuating in any way that anything from DaS2 has made it in, even if it is a potential improvement or sidegrade.
6. State that you hope Soul Vessels make a comeback, but never mention the downsides and do not make any references to DaS2.
7. When someone mentions DaS2 (or even passively reminds you of its existence), drop oneliners such as (but not limited to):
>a. "lmfao are you defending DaS2 right now"
>b. ">he still plays Dark Souls Poo"
>c. "DaS2 was just fundamentally bad. Really glad FROM is returning to their roots with DaS3. Thank you Big M!"
>d. "It just had no story and wasn't very fun."
>e. "It was just so slow compared to DaS1."
>f. ">playing Yui shit"
>g. "Based Yui's tracking damage sponge giant armoured enemies hiding behind doors: the game featuring special guest every lore tidbit is from a lost and forgotten land"
You'd be surprised, it seems a lot of people will pop them just because they're curious about what the hell the fuzzy eye on the floor is. That does mean sometimes you'll have to slaughter someone who didn't even know it was a fight they were getting into, but eh, it's not a big deal.
I've got this problem with steam streaming and Dark Souls. There's no audio in the stream unless I check the box that captures all audio on the system. I don't really use this thing but I hate having issues like this! Anyone else have this and fixed it?
Is there any way to make a Dark Souls 2 stream that people will actually be interested in watching?
When I stream I usually only get about 4 people viewing max.
I wanna make mad stacks playing vidya games like all the cool kids
Is it possible to make a SL1 char with dragon naked cosplay to invade noobs on undead parish?
>This long after DS1 came out
>Thinks he's invading "noobs" in undead parish
Even two fucking years ago, invading the low level zones was almost entirely invading people as twinked out as me, or CE users.
The pinnacle of my dark souls 1 invasions were on PC, not TOO long after the PC version came out.
>Invade this guy
>He's fighting hollows
>Just stand there with the skull lantern
>He constantly runs, turns around and holds up his shield, then runs away again
>I just follow him around the undead burg as he presumably freaks out
>He runs into every enemy along the way while trying to run from me
>Runs out of flasks
>Finally he grows some balls
>He runs up and swings at me as I calmly walk backwards and he misses
>He immediately runs away again
>He steps onto one of the bridges
>Turns around and looks at me, holds up his shield, and walks off the side of the bridge to his death
I really like to think that it was HONESTLY this guys first time playing the game and he was absolutely shitting himself. But in reality that probably wasn't the case.
I can dream though, right?
Is Ds2 Scholar the longest platinum trophy from the series?
All the rest on the picture (which aren't marked red) are very fine, too. From really can into making very good bosses.
