>Is this actually good?
Yes it's good, just don't go in expecting the hyped up "Pokemon killer" aspect. They aren't the same game at all, just two games in the monster catching genre. If you want an explanation on the battle system, someone can fill you in, don't worry the demo was indeed shit.
>Is there a list of all the yokai?
Some aren't available until Yokai Watch 2, though. Use the wikia to find out.
>I'm too lazy to look for i-
We're actually working on sprucing this baby up. Feel free to contribute!
Here's a resource bin including detailed maps, Yokai locations, warp locations, evolution and fusion lists:
A kind anon has graced us with the Yokai Watch OST!:
A reminder for everyone to motemote~ their favorite youkai!
Level-5 is out for his blood, aren't they?
It is done
maybe next time i'll get it done in time for the new op ;_;
That's weird, I saved all the drawings the anons did
i excluded that one anon's friend's drawings because he's not from this general, though
Anyway, if I missed any do point me towards the missing drawing in the last thread
sounds fun, but let's not do these too frequently.
On an unrelated note, does anyone with the JP and US version of the first game know if they can interact with each other aside from streetpass? Can they PvP?
Reminder that without her horns, Insomni is just an old hag
So what's the consensus on Watch Of Yokai?
I looked at some of their YouTube vids and they seem kind of cool, but I can't shake thinking they probably have some air of superiority to them.
Same. Getting him to spawn was tough enough but the only way he would befriend me after a week of trying was with a golden friendship wisp. He's on my front line now.
I found and befriended Statiking with relative ease compared to Azure Dragon and Swelterrier. Haven't even tried befriending Sandi yet just because those two took a lot out of me.
I am about the use the Crank-A-Kai, lets see what i get!
I really hate yo-kai that spawn in only one specific tiny area, but peppillon was worth the troubke
Is there like legit difficult endgame content in YW1?
I fought the "hidden boss" Weevil, and at first I was considering giving up when he started one-shotting me Yokais, but then I was hit with a blast of fighting spirited and shouted "I CAN'T GIVE UP NOW!" (actually I just realized if I was going to die I'd get my healing items back anyway). Then I kicked his ass no problem when I started using revives.
Then I kicked the shit out of the red oni in Terror Time. I heard there's a more difficult version of him? I've killed him either two or three times but I have yet to see the fabled black oni.
Infinite inferno is also pretty easy, but I think the difficulty of bosses is just right. They take a while to take down, but honestly I just want ONE instance where the game kicks my ass and I have to go back and rethink my strategy.
I know, this game is made from scrubs, but even Pokemon has battle tower and such. I just want to feel like my team composition actually matters, and I'm not just steamrolling a bunch of helpless gremlins.
Well, even if it is does turn out to all be easy I will give this game one big thumbs up over Pokemon -- your entire team actually matters.. In HGSS I steamrolled the entire game with my Feraligatr. If Pokemon could learn one thing from Yokai, it's that they should probably focus more on multi/double/triple battles. They already have the mechanics, it's just that they're too afraid of changing their focus from 1v1 Pokemon battles.
I look forward to the healthy competition between the two games.
Ya, i would love to see how the two compete. I like Yo-Kai Watch more than pokemon mostly because pokemon is starting to get a bit boring for me. (and Yo-Kai look a lot cooler)
The battle maison in ORAS is pretty piss easy. If anything YW needs more rewards, challenge, and incentives for post-game. But i heard YW2 has much more post-game content going on than the first.
Assuming you have already taken down Wobblewok, there's Blue and Black Oni, though they also have a random chance to spawn once you take out red oni. Blue oni is a pushover if you have a yo-kai that takes less damage to water attacks, but black oni hits crazy hard.
there's trading in 2, but I have no idea if items can be traded as well.
Wait, is it like wonder trading in pokemon of what?
Would you buy? I worry about the quality.
>tfw you get Robonyan on your first try
That was a good night.
Probably comparable to the feeling I got when I realized I needed Enefly and Enerfly for a quest right after I fused them together.
>catch frostina easily
>forget to name her
>reset assuming I'll be able to catch her easily again
>takes about an hour to get another one
And all because it would feel awkward using Miss Frost to fight for me
pic related is how I felt when I found that shit out.
Massachusetts anon here. I took some QR pics of the medals i got last night in new hampshire. (you might need to tilt the DS around a bit to read the codes. sorry about that, i have an unsteady hand. i'm like a chimpanzee when i use a camera lol)
All of them work. Like I said, you might need to tilt the DS around a bit to get the code aligned.
It's sad to know that the second game has been out for awhile (along with the first game) in Japan, and they just recently released the first game in English
I hope the speed rate of localizing goes up enough in time for the upcoming 3rd game.
Are there any other references like this for other rare yokai?
>Tfw catching Fuumin in one try after finding a shortcut to the 5th circle of hell
>also get Jibanyan and Hidabat in one go
Too bad I don't have a slot for her on my team
>tfw mine hasn't arrived yet
>tfw I have no negative youkai watch images saved
How are they going to explain the Z Medals when we just recently got the regular ones?
Do you think the RNG for some of the high-ranked Yokai is so unforgiving because they'd rather you spend real money buying the toys so you can get codes for the Crank-a-Kai coins and get them through that instead of hunting them down yourself?
The upgrade kit in that video is usually around 1,500 yen. The cover is just a silicon slip that you put over the main part of the watch and the wristband on the U is removable so you can swap it with the Version E one or whichever upgrade kit you want to buy.
No no, you're fine! You're not annoying.
I'm not sure if they work on mobile. I'm using my laptop right now.
And as for scanning the QRs, you scan them into the game via the woman at the first desk in Piggleston Bank. You can recieve the Crank-a-Kai coins there.
(sorry this took so long the captcha was acting like a cunt)
Okay so I'm only 12 hours into the game and I'm Watch Rank D.
Is it possible to miss sidequests?
You only get one letter for a password when you catch a criminal 3 times? That's lame
I'm just taking it slow and
There's no missable quests, and all the passwords are up online somewhere if you really want them. Glad you're liking the game!
If you use the youkai's favorite food it'll automatically go to them. Alternately you can lock on to a specific one and it'll go to it.
>the youkai's favorite food
Actually, that's another question I have. Is there any way to tell what a youkai likes without blind experimentation?
>you can lock on to a specific one and it'll go to it.
Very useful, thanks!
Daily reminder that Inaho is built for procreation!
Also, how do I go about buying Japanese merch? Got the US watch as a gift for my siblings but I can't stand the English songs.
That's how I ordered my Prototype U watch as well.
A few anons have said that they've bought their DX Watches from Amazon. I personally use Mandarake and HLJ for in-stock things and Amiami for preorders. Got my U from Mandy and a few boxes of medals from HLJ, for instance.
Fair enough! Hope I can grab a Version U2 and some medal packs real quick. Been meaning to jump-start my collection. Thanks!
>order a zoid for 40 dollars
>turns out to be fucking 90 bucks with shipping
>end up breaking it with my gorilla mitts and stupidity
Never bought a model kit again
My wallet is still recovering
>There's no missable quests, and all the passwords are up online somewhere if you really want them. Glad you're liking the game!
Cheers, thank you!
Is there a guide explaining books and attitudes? I know I should leave all this until I finish the game but it'd be nice to understand it beforehand. Speaking of... how's the post-game?
Also one of my
little brothersjust finished the story and he loved it. I didn't think he would like the game at all
EMS shipping is expensive and SAL is slow as hell but the key to making it worth it is getting medals of Yokai you really, really want and getting lots of cheap ones alongside them.
I've been reading back through the old launch threads and came upon this post commenting on crank-a-kai
>Don't bother trying to use the same coin, because the result are decided at 6AM of your nintendo time daily.
>This is how you beat the machine
Has this been disproved since? If not this changes everything.
I've used 20 pink coins this week and I mostly found bronze dolls and a litter of pupsicles.
Why is Insomni so pathetically useless in the show?
No, they're predetermined when you start a new file. I tried saving before getting a coin, using it, and resetting and always got the same results.
That is what I had been told too but this old anon claims that you have to wait until the next day.
Oh, well. It was worth inquiring.
Any idea why these threads stopped posting the pastebin that contained maps, evos, general info?
so what's up with the bonus scenes?
sometimes some blue kappa falls off a mountain because the cat couldn't save him in time and I get a jackpot. is that supposed to be good? he's going to die
I don't understand how it works
Any tips for me?
Here's my team:
Robonyan: lvl 77 | Tough Bell
Pinkipoo: lvl 77 | Fiend Badge
Blizzaria: lvl 74 | Fiend Ring
Sheen: lvl 56 | Vampiric Fangs
Mama Aura: lvl 66 | Fiend Badge
Swosh: lvl 68 | Heavenly Sash
im late to the bandwagon train but i dont care
i have a lot of favorite yo-kai lol
i think my soul had a stroke making this
>finally catch Azure Dragon within the first day of hunting it
Guess this is the trade-off for having shit luck with the Crank-A-Kai
I don't really have any tips other than to level up Sheen a lot but my team was all around level 80 or so around that fight. It was:
I used a completely different team for Orcanos though.
Shotafic anon here. I'm finally almost done with Xenoblade X so I'll be starting my fic soon. I've decided just to start with Keita and Keizou, but I'll probably do more pairings afterwords, so look forward to it.
This is beautiful, anon. You have excellent taste in youkai.
Sure, ideas are plenty so we're good on that front. Like >>127224720 said, we shouldn't do them frequently, though. I was thinking of either a weekly, biweekly or monthly thing. This general is usually pretty quiet and we don't have many anons so we really don't have to worry much about disorder or getting tired of it, or so I hope.
there's not much else to do anyways
From personal experience, I recommend getting the medals from sites like HLJ. Amiami is even better in general when it comes to merch and (including medals) but you have to be sanic fast because they run out of stuff extremely quick.
It's easier to pay and their services are better too in my opinion
>Amiami is even better in general when it comes to merch and (including medals) but you have to be sanic fast because they run out of stuff extremely quick.
How the fuck can you approve of a site that outright REFUSES to tell you shipping costs until the last minute?
The guide's in the pastebin, but here you go anyway.
As for qr codes and passwords, you can register them to get more coins to use at crankakai
Eh, I make approximates beforehand. You have to be smart to order from amiami since it doesn't have the private warehouse service HLJ offers, but I'd rather deal with that than dealing with HLJ's preorder bullshit that they can pull on you. They're good for instock items, though.
I haven't had any problems yet but I've heard nothing but bad things about their customer services, anon. They're a hit or miss when it comes down to it.
Having 7 days to pay is nice, too.
Their shipping prices are pretty fair and one can usually guess how much it'll be depending on the size of their order. Isn't a problem for a lot of people, but I can see where you're coming from.
It's thanks to the lewdfic anon for inspiring me and this general for being so chill.
Very rarely. Though on the plus side most YW merch is available on tons of other sites for pretty good prices depending on what you're looking for and where you look.
I think I got a good yokai. I thought it was gonna be shit because it was a grey ball but I ended up getting goldnyan.
apparently he's rank S but my yokai watch is only D.
He might be the best yokai I have at the moment and I don't want to fuck this up. What's a good attitude for him? I want it to have the best possible stats and shit.
I usually look to see if they are generally more physical or technique based and go from there.
From my understanding, speed is best and hp isn't necessary.
If it's a charming class you might want to focus only on its main attack.
I'm rank C. I don't really know shit.
He's tough class.
I don't know if tanks are good or not. I don't even know if there's a taunt mechanic in this game.
Guess I'll go with DEF+ATK.
There is, some youkai can inspirit themselves/their allies with the popularity status, making enemies go for them most of the time. Some others have abilities or soultimates that give them this status effect, like Robonyan for example, his soultimate makes his defenses go up and make enemies target him.
They're coins you get through entering passwords. There's TONS of passwords for the coins available. Only downside is that using one of the coins doesn't guarantee one of the youkai in the picture, it just gives you a chance at getting them.
No clue. I can't read moon, and I never run across anything detailing their origins. I only know how to get them in-game. The pig (nebuta) got into an episode in the anime, so I'm sure they're just as popular as any other youkai that isn't jibanyan or the komas.
Just checked for nebuta, I found the grand amount of 4 drawings of him between pixiv and twitter. I saw a medal, too.
Pretty sure these poor guys are criminally underrated.
>Take Sandi through hundreds of battles
>Take Eterna through like 10 battles
BS. Will Sandi ever stop being a slackster? I mean I gave her a book since she's in the high 90s now to make her carefree but if she NEVER goes stiff>serious I want to plan ahead on what to train to replace her.
Eterna is befriended at earlier levels, so its easier to level her out of loafing status. You can try to have them attack more often, or just slap cruncha/beelzebold into your team to remove loafing outright
Alright /ywg/, if you could give any Yo-Kai a spinoff mini series in the anime, who would it be, and what would it be about? I would pick Kyubi because he doesn't get enough screentime and he still needs to collect one more heart.
Undy mini-series where he gets various cute boys from the show in their underwear (or less)
Or i'd also enjoy one with Kyubi and Orochi hanging out with Keita. He has both their medals and yet he never summons them. Would be great if they could have an action packed adventure of some kind like when we first met Orochi.
Robonyan and B3N-K1 reunion episode
Kyubi and Orochi are the go-to picks for Yokai who need their own spinoff. Realistically, I could see Komasan and Komajiro getting some kind of spinoff eventually. They're pretty popular, right?
>A yo-kai based on Kirby that makes people see pink as the manliest color it originally was back in time
>Post game, all I need left is a couple crankakais
>scrambling for blue and purple coins since there's almost no qrs for them.
>put my last blue coin in today
>Gold ball pops out
>Might be free from at least one hell
>It's an Agon
I hate this game
I hate it so much
it's a sign anon.
feel the agony of despair I can't wait to knock skelly's head off in the sequel.
Level-5's cancelled goodies look like a good contester. Outside of it, It'd probably be filled with nostagic shows of the 90s-2000s. Hell, just throw in an old fashioned TV yo-kai that makes people yearn for the earlier days of entertainment/childhood things they grew up watching.
So what kind of monstrosity is Dondoro in the first place? Was he just a monster that wrecked shit until he was sealed away or does he have a history?
He was considered too cute for his own good. So cute that he had to be sealed away out of pure jealousy of the rest of the youkai. He did nothing wrong.
Someone please tell me how to catch rare AnglerFish. Does just running up and down the beach actually reset each fishing spot? I'm trying to get the unbeatable spirit item.
So what other real life people should be Great Man Legendary Yokai? I got a few ideas
>Martin Luther King Jr.
>the Theodore Roosevelt Yokai is a teddy bear named Roosefelt
This is too good to pass up
Theirs a couple of secret bosses, rematches with the story bosses, the Infinite Inferno, Wobblewok and Yokai you can only get in post game like Insomnie.
I think those are really cool
Another question. According to some guides after you get your watch to rank S you can find the evolved beetle yokai on trees and such in the wild. Is it faster to just try to befriend them with food or catch rare fish and bugs to get their fusion items?
>Theodore Roosevelt - Brave
>Michael Jackson - Eerie or Shady
>Elvis Presley - Heartful
>Abraham Lincoln - Tough
>Walt Disney - Charming
>Martin Luther King Jr. - Heartful or Brave
>Harriet Tubman - Heartful or Mysterious
>Guy Fieri - Tough, Heartful or Mysterious
Does this sound about right?
Give me one good excuse why Rokurocubie isnt Slippery.
She's cute yes but Slippery makes more sense to me.
I hunted those bugs and fish for days
Literal days. Both in game and in real time.
Spent hundreds on bait. Missed more rares than I could count. Developed a pattern to run by every place I knew they would spawn, and in that pattern, I would pass by the spots where the evolved forms should spawn (though they were night only I think)
And in all that time that it took to finally hunt down enough bugs/fish, I never once had their evolved forms even spawn to even try to recruit them normally.
What other Level-5 series would you like to see a crossover with? I'd kill for a Professor Layton one, with Nate/Fumi going to London and finding youkai there while solving some huge mysterious thing happening in town, all while tagging with the good professor and his number one assistant.
>yfw there's a youkai that inspirits people to get reminded of puzzles out of absolutely everything
Yeah, or possess people to come up with crazy schemes and plans that mostly blow up in your face.
Black and white could work but her iconic red hair would be missed. Maybe just have her hair in color but the rest black and white?
Yeah and her hair can have a wavy ghost tail like motion to it as well. She could be Charming class.
What would Monroe's effect be? Also, not sure why but I imagine her being Shady class for some reason, Charming would make more sense but eh.
Due to her tragic end she could be shady or eerie. Although if you wanted to keep it more innocent and tasteful she could be charming but it feels like there's already an abundance of good charming tribe youkai.
So where should Yokai Watch 4 take place in? I like the idea of the game taking us to different places.
I think either Mexico or China would be fantastic, their both cultures with a long and rich history so their is a lot of potential in some really neat Yokai in those places.
I'm surprised no one drew Guy as a Yokai yet.
I imagine a Guy Fieri Yokai just being a Hungramps recolor with his flame shirt, hair and sunglasses and his name would be Hunguy.
I havn't beat the game yet and I just got the fishing pole so I am curious. Does fishing/bugging ever get any less frustrating or do you just have to spam the specific item for each one and hope game feels like being nice?
It will revolve around Bruff just being a cool guy, saving smaller Yokai from bullies and getting the Yokai pussy 24/7 and Whisper's there too trying to be cool but getting trumped by Bruff every time
World War II. Pink used to be a boy's color because it was associated with Mars, the Roman god of war (his color was red, the color of blood). Blue was used for girls because it was associated with the veil/cloak that the Virgin Mary supposedly wore.
Hitler used pink triangle badges for the "identification" and persecution of homosexuals, like the "Judenrat" badge for European Jews. Right after WWII, people had gotten the impression that pink was a "homosexual" color and no longer wanted to associate it with boys, so it got associated with girls and vice-versa.
Would that make him a gary stu though? Would his final conflict take place between him and Castelius line, especially Max?
Is it weird to say that I wanted Nicole Oliver to voice that Yo-Kai in the English dub
(she's the woman who played Zoe in Littlest Pet Shop and
Princess Celestia and Cheeralee from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic)
just listen to her singing and you'll get why I think she would be perfect:
>Hitler used pink triangle badges for the "identification" and persecution of homosexuals, like the "Judenrat" badge for European Jews. Right after WWII, people had gotten the impression that pink was a "homosexual" color and no longer wanted to associate it with boys, so it got associated with girls and vice-versa.
This reminds me of that "gays are called faggots because they were used as kindling in witch burnings" thing. That bit of trivia, of course, is stupid, wrong, and doesn't make sense.
So do you have a source? All I can find is that the reversal happened in the 40s and was due to consumer preferences; there's nothing about Hitler or homosexuals.
Ok this hitler yo-kai needs a name now.
Also, anyone have the pic of yo-kai cam with hitler and beelzebold?
>mfw finding out I already unlocked Shogunyan a while ago
I feel a little guilty replacing Benkei with him though, despite being a little on the weaker side he's always been my ace.
I say have him stay in America, only go to a more urban or city-like setting. I dont know how i'd feel about them changing up the setting for each game unless they can hop back and forth. But Keita being the consistent avatar means it would be odd to have him hopping from place to place unless his Dad's work really justified it. Even then it would be a stretch.
I think you should more fully explore all the options he has where the game's setting takes you.
is it ok to post WIPs in here oh well here we are anyways
[those blue things in orochi's mouth are retractable fangs btw. my version of orochi has a combo of human and snake parts]
I don't think that makes you a scrub. There's nothing wrong with playing a game about friendship using a team of your friends and not just whoever has the best stats.
Interested to see how this turns out.
For some odd reason I can't unsee Oogama with the position of that scarf...
Boy am I ready for winter break to be over so the kids can go back to school. I'm fine with anyone posting any kind of art/fiction here since that's a part of the reason the general can keep going, but at least try to act like you're an adult when you do so.
If the plot can justify it I say bring him to different places, "were going on vacation!" is the easiest ploy for that.
I just really want to see Yokai that are inspired by other cultures now that we know that their not just restricted to Japan. Mexico especially, There is endless potential for Yokai inspired by Mexican and mesoamerican culture. Even if we get America twice in a row, I'll be fine with that seeing as they'll probably not do what I really want to see out of Murican Yokai on the first try (like the Mothman and other western legends and folklore of a similar caliber). But at some point or another wither it be the 5th game or the 10th one I'd like to see them jump from place to place to see what Yokai inhabitant different cultures.
It'd be great if they did a system where they dedicate two games to a single place and then they move on to another area, like the first two games where in Japan, three and four can take place in America and five an six can be someplace new.
Speaking of which, I really want a befriendable Massiface along with a befriendable Dr. Maddiman, Whismallow Man and McKraken (I want Maddiman the most to be honest)
I know McKraken was the main enemy of the first game but I'm lead to believe that their is no such thing as a truly evil Yokai and it's too much fun to use former enemies on your team.
Yeah my YW1 team is Jibanyan, Komasan, Komajiro (I keep them together of course for the triple Charming Bonus), Jinmenken/Manjimutt, Orochi and Bushinyan. Though I like to switch Bushinyan out with Cupistol/Motemoten when I'm out finding specific Yo-Kai to recruit.
i would take a picture with my phone but OF COURSE it's a shitty Moto X with faulty camera hardware. i hate not having a proper phone camera anymore
You kidding? I love Komama's design.
I like to believe that she's swollen with unborn Koma babies and she constantly gives birth to them like a Queen Ant.
I hope Komama becomes a befriendable Yokai in the games at some point, she'd definitely be a restoration Yokai with a healing Soultimate
Could it be another jab at a different version of country moms, where media sometimes portray them as large moms?
they could also be making shit up like what they've been doing since the first game.
>Sealed away for cuteness
Shogunyan, lookout! They're after you next!
>when it's battletime, her soultimate has er transforming into female version of mighty dog in a pinch, total stat change for 5-10 moves/turns/whatever realtime battles are measured
I think there should be one Great Man Legendary for each class
>Edison = Mysterious
>Walt Disney = Charming
>Theodore Roosevelt = Brave
>Michael Jackson = Eerie
>Abraham Lincoln = Tough
>Ghandi = Heartful
>Elvis Presley = Shady
>Marilyn Monroe = Slippery
Vacation would be a good idea, in that case he can go to all sorts of locations. I have my doubts though about going to many more different countries besides maybe Europe and China. I dont know why but the idea of them going to Mexico just doesnt sound like something the devs would do.
At least the thing about vacations is now Keita is free to go to other places right after moving to America, so we can immerse ourselves in other locations but still come back to further explore new options and content back in America or Japan.
I actually made up a Reptilian Yokai that turns people into highly suspicious conspiracy nuts after the third game was announced to take place in America, he's called Hisspiracy and he's like a chibi lizard man in a business suit.
it sucks I can't draw to save my life because I really want draw some of my OC Yokai
>Mexico just doesnt sound like something the devs would do
Well, It can't be because the developers don't know shit about Mexico, they can easily contact experts in the culture & history so they can assist in the world building, Yokai design etc. and do some extra research on the side, same goes for any other country that they may not be familiar with.
Speaking of Youkai Watch 3, am I the only one who wanted them to sell the other 3 U model watches, you know the five:
I would've loved to see more Youkai Watch users in the show, since in the show you can apparently get them at an electronics store now
I'm looking forward to them selling the U3 through U5.
Komasan likely bumbled into there without knowing why.
Jibanyan stole a fuckton of candy bars.
Manjimutt is in there for being a creep, and Multimutt is so damn creepy he's in the deepest levels.
I'm surprised there isnt seven boss Yokai exclusive to the Infinite Inferno based on the seven deadly sins, I know it's a christian oriented thing but Japan seems to have a fascination with them.
maybe we'll get them in YW3?
Either this guy or Ristar. Not sure what Croc would do, but Ristar would definitely grab stuff
Yeah, I'm rocking Shogunyan, Dromp, Pinkipoo, Zerberker, Reuknight, and Reversa. All around Lv 50. Best equipment I can get. I'm fine when it comes to basic yokai encounters but it it's a boss my Yokai go down in one hit faster than I can revive or purify them.
What are you having trouble with, if you managed to beat Dromp and Zerberker?
Get rid of Zerberker for Snartle, if you have him. He gets really hard to catch once you're S rank.
Any save editors for someone runnin Oothax? Something like pkhex but for yokai?
My nigga, purple a best.
I'm pretty sure they released the least interesting colors first so that people would buy them and then buy the last three later. If you release the better ones first who the hell is gonna buy the rest?
How good is my team? I just beat massiface and my watch is rank B.
The butterfly and the skeleton girl are my best yokais.
>Slacka-slash is level 18, he sucks.
>Butterfly is level 24, she's great.
>Skelebella is 26, she's great too.
>The tough guy is 22, he's pretty bad
>the old guy is 26, I don't use him but to be honest he's almost as good as skelebella.
>the cat is 27, he's pretty reliable.
I also have Casanono, Signiton, Cupistol, Goldenyan, Noko and some rank C shark that eats grass. I mean, I have more rank E-D yokais but I don't think they are worth using at this point. Should I replace Slacka-slash or the tough guy with any of those?
Please for the love of fuck tell me there is an easier way to find rare anglerfish. I'be been running up and down this shitty little beach for two hours and found ONE angler. What were they thinking?!
I feel like I will never get pic related, and it's the one I wanted most from the start.
Jibakoma's in the sequels. You can fuse Jibanyan with a Roughraff to make a Baddinyan, a B-rank with full immunity to headbutt attacks, deals pretty good damage for it's level and can get the boost from Charming Harmony.
Just save at one end of the beach, look up to the other side for anglers, when you get to the end just press start and go back to the title screen without saving.
Loading back up will put you back to where you started and reset the spawns. It's also faster than running up the stairs and biking through the tunnel.
Does the 2nd game have something to tell you if you already have a Yokai's medal?
Pokemon has a small Pokeball icon next to a Pokemon's name in battle if you already own it so you won't waste time trying. Does YW2 have a little medal or wisp or something?
I have like fucking 10 Blazions and I can't sell these things.
As far as i know all sidequests are available once you find them. They dont go away as you progress in the story.
Lewdfic at 6 AM, asking for opinions on this dilemma.
Should Hanako-san move in with the MC, or should I only have Insomni live with him? I don't want to make him too much of a Gary Stu and have an entire Yo-harem in his apartment.
>He says "Buhu!" before attacking
>Eterna out of a gray capsule on Crank-A-Kai with a single purple coin.
I'm guessing I'm a lucky fuck.
Yo-tip: Don't want to fill up your list with duplicate Yo-kai, but hate telling anyone no?
Use the "Drop" option when looking at your collected Yo-kai list. No sad message, no guilt trip, just "You parted with _____!" and nothing else.
Made getting rid of 10 different Lv 9's that I couldn't refuse a lot easier.
>Episode 67 would have been the show's whole plot since the start
I can dream.
>the pokemon killer
>yokai gets asmall thread
>pokemon still has a whole board
What possible use would you have for Slitheref's "Equipment Forbidden!" skill? PvP?
If it got rid of negative effects and kept the good ones I could see, but if not it's just fucking useless.
I've been in Yo-kai World for 3 hours trying to get Pinkipoo or his item, and I keep coming across Pinkivil. Is he rarer?
I'm keeping to my word about not spamming previews and links, but just an fyi for anyone who does have the pastebin link, I'm keeping it updated as I go along, so refresh it once in a while.
They really missed out on calling one of the Buhu recolors "Boojay"
I always laughed at the Cheeksqueek episodes.Dont know if i'd call him my favorite for comedy segments, especially with NOA trying to make him the mascot.
reminder that beneath that smile is someone who is willing to freeze anyone she wants.
Yep. 2nd game has something called an endless tunnel, where you try to go as deep as possible. The total distance you can reach depends on how far you've gotten into the game and some other factors I think.
The idea is that the farther you go, the more likely you'll encounter rare/hard to find yo-kai. At 40k distance, crank-a-kai exclusives start appearing.
>tfw game forces you to SAVE before going into the tunnel, meaning no savescumming it allowed.
Damn, I missed out on this. That's what I get for not coming here recently.
I know an anon before showed that they're capable of Streetpassing at least. I dunno if their names still appear in kana or not though.
This gets me, they remove (or change) almost everyone's verbal tics, then put it in at the end of every episode. Are verbal tics just something they think the youth here won't understand?
Anyway, the NA toys are officially out, how is everyone doing so far? My Japanese ones are in here too, but this is what I've got so far. I'm happy I got Awevil.
>Are verbal tics just something they think the youth here won't understand?
>"Mom, why does he say 'Whis' after everything?"
>"I don't know, it's a fucking cartoon."
Have some cute phone/chat backgrounds I got from twitter
Just found Noko by dumb luck while I was doing the fusion quest.
While I was looking for his favorite food (it's hamburgers, fortunately I have one) I noticed that the pastebin has a "noko farming" guide. How rare is he, exactly? Are there any other rare youkai like this or is it all capsule machines and recolors from here?
>Rare Yokais are recolors.
Yeah I figured that out. I meant yokai with a low spawn rate who run away, like Noko.
Fucker took my hamburger and left. It's like I'm really playing SMT!
>There are a few other hard to find/befriend Yokai like Robonyan or Negasus
Great, thanks! I really like shit like this as long as the spawn rates aren't abysmal shit like 1/256.
We need an edit of this:
"Fubuki-Hime is scary. SCARY!!"
>Standing in the middle of the road, idle while I look something up
>Big truck is fast approaching
>Instead of stopping directly in front of me, Terror Time triggers right before it should run me over
I thought I had literally died.
Apparently you're not required to fuse Jibanyan to get Baddinyan or Thornyan and can keep him as-is.
Baddinyan is in the laundromat after a quest and Thornyan's randomly on a skateboard.
I did not knyow that.
Can anyone tell me some really basic shit that's easy to miss? I feel like I'm missing entire aspects of the game. I just got past that first dream monster item grabbing sequence with the oni.
Pretty bored, plus I can't seem to find anything when I want to, like to finish a quest.
What the fuck are you supposed to do then? You can't sprint away from it really because you get tired in 4 seconds. Is it possible to get all the items?
Also seriously help me out on this quest thing. It will say OH JUST CATCH [japanese pun name], and I have no idea where to look without looking on a wiki. Am I supposed to be able to figure stuff out on the map with intuition or something? I have to help a girl see an Idol right now. Already helped an Idol hide, so I think this is related, but I don't remember where that was.
Also are these dual word things like natures in pokemon? the grouchy and stuff
If you have ever encountered the Yokai, you can look it up in the dex, just like Pokemon.
Stiff refers to discipline; how often they will slack off in battle The only rank better than Stiff is Serious.
The other word refers to their attacking AI, like in Dragon Quest Monsters. See the pastebin.
