>get cucked into using only one lightsaber in cutscenes
nice game bioshit
aka an imperial cuck
if you idolize the empire and follow it blindly you are a cuck because the empire can do whatever they want on you and you still stay.
So all imperial military is full of cucks since they stay and remain inferior to the sith
>start a secondary quest, level 5
>wipe out surronding enemies before I get to the objective in the middle
>enter a conversation
>when I leave the conversation all 10 or so enemies have revived and kill me easily
Is this game filled with such amazing game design?
darth sidious was using the senator's pods as weapons because he uses the senate to get what he wants!
So I've been subbed to SWTOR again for little over a week now, and my friend wants to join me so I had a few questions.
When I did SoR stuff, there was a ton of solo Flashpoints. How would those work with 2? Would we be expected to do tactical with our comps?
Does KoTFE work at all with multiple people? I really don't see how it'd fly with 2 chosen ones.
I'm pretty sure I referred him the first time he ever played. Can I refer him as a returning sub again?
I thought he was using the Senate to attack, because I AM THE SENATE.
So Valkoryon is clearly more powerful than Palpatine, Palpatine was forced to use his lightsaber while for Vitiate a lightsaber attack from Arcann is literally nothing and he can deflect it with the force

we go from swordfighting to flipping everywhere. we go from the force being super mystical, but barely able to lift an x-wing or shoot lighting bolts, to it being able to destroy suns and move star destroyers.
I hate so many of the people who get hired to do star wars shit.
Lucasfilm story group, for the first time, helped write the story for TOR when Kotfe came out. Why, right before the new movie and new canon, would they basically legitimize BioWare's version of Star Wars? Because they wanna make it canon. You can tell the xpac had help from Lucas film too, because the quality and story telling was top notch compared to all the other shit. They basically took Vitiate, rebooted him, and improved the story. Valerian is such a different Emperor from Vitiate they might as well be two separate Emperors.
MY FUCKING DICK
It's no sage/sorc, but it's okay.
Your anus will bleed when you need to AoE heal though, on the other hand you can cover and evade all ranged damage just because.
>yes anon, that is why we have deep tv series tier characters with huge amounts of drama potential between them ;^)
Sure anon, keep parroting that. We all know "tv series tier characters" is the highest praise you can lay on character writing, and "drama potential" is unheard of in lesser media. TV shows are always held to the highest standards of writing quality right? That's why it's a good compliment.
Hell, the more you call the writing deep like it's a fact the closer it gets to becoming a fact
What is that even supposed to mean, I see this TV thing posted a lot lately, is it the same guy over and over or is it a new meme?
Characters are anime tier for the most part, which you might like if that's your thing, I can tolerate them myself.
>daddy issues children
>valk in you
>you recruit his wife
There is a ton of drama waiting to brew just between those 4, not even gonna add the fuckton of other characters.
I am not him but I do believe the character quality is great.
Just started playing, chose Sith Warrior. Most recently killed the big white beast in the cave on the starting planet that the black sith guy wanted dead.
How long until I get my lightsaber and can just run around the galaxy killing innocent people?
>Doing companion quests
>Everything's going smooth
>Vector and Lokin playing doctor and chill
>Kaliyo bitching at me but partying anyway
MURDERS HER OWN FATHER
this totally threw me off, how was it in any way necessary? It seems completely out of character too, I don't get it, and I don't like her anymore.
ok you fags.
I got all these contracts left over from the item resale stack exploit.
Here you can see how much BW actually cares about exploiters. Just imagine how many people got away with even more.
I did get a 3 day ban, but BW didn't remove any of the shit I got with it. They did, however, remove a couple of gree weapons for some reason. Weapons I got the legit way, years ago. Anyway..
I canceled my sub some time ago, and really don't see myself ever returning.
I'm on TRE and will be putting these stacks up for 1 credit in about 10 minutes.
I'll put up one stack every 5 minutes or so, until they are all gone, or I get bored.
I also got like 56 aug kits. So keep an eye out for that as well.
fuck this ded gaem
that's because you are too slow
this motherfucker bought that stack in under 5 seconds of me posting it
listing next one in 60 seconds
I just finished a playthrough of it and the only issues I can remember is that thing where the text skips when the game has been running a while and you need to restart the program and reload.
Yeah, it's not like there was any option other than murdering him.
Couldn't have helped him go into hiding, or put him on my ship, or sent him to the SIS, or a myriad of other things.
Had to be death. Immediate death. To save you from a different death. Okay.
got to go for now
will give away those other stacks later
>Couldn't have helped him go into hiding
Yeah, he was already in hiding, didn't quite work out for him, seeing how we was found out.
>or put him on my ship
Brilliant. Let's stash the wanted fugitive on a ship under control of Imperial Intelligence.
>or sent him to the SIS
Not even worth a comment.
>Had to be death. Immediate death. To save you from a different death. Okay.
Obviously. You did pay attention, yes? About him being found out and moments away from being nabbed by the sith? And as an aside, she didn't murder him, he gave his consent.
>she didn't murder him, he gave his consent.
oh that makes it all better then
Guys I'm having a terrible time deciding if I want to do the expansion content with my Operative or my Juggernaut.
The problem is I hate Operative gameplay, but I like my character's personality, voice actor, and story background. I also like the idea of taking down force users with gadgets and trickery. Because I like my IA, when I play him, I feel like "yes, I want to see this man's saga continue". But Operative as a class is a boring fucking chore to use in combat and I mentally groan any time I can't stealth past an encounter.
I love the gameplay on my Sith Warrior, but I hate the character. It seemed like regardless or whether I picked light or dark side choices, he had to over-dramatize everything he said and often came across as a fedoralord. I enjoy the gameplay but whenever I'm in story cutscenes all I can think is "I really don't like this guy".
I guess the alternative is to progress with neither, and find a class where I like the character/story AND the gameplay, but that isn't necessarily going to happen.
What do you guys think?
Because I feel like I barely use any abilities with my operative. Backstab, veiled strike, poison dart, volatile substance, and spam lacerate over and over until dead. Occasionally I might use exfiltrate to dodge an ability. It feels very shallow and I'm not really doing much in a given fight.
With Juggernaut I'm leaping in with force charge, CCing enemies with force push and force choke, stacking bleeds with impale and shatter, spreading bleeds with vengeful slam, throwing lightsabers at distant targets, executing enemies with savage throw, proccing free savage throws and critical force screams, abusing sweeping strike's extra damage on bleeding targets.
Or if I'm specced for rage I'm spamming force charge/obliterate whenever possible (refreshing the cooldown with force push) to trigger critical raging bursts/free screams. I'm using force crush to proc extra damage on my smash or raging burst, etc. Some of those maybe be slightly erroneous because I specced out of rage and into vengeance a while ago. But the point remains that SW gameplay feels much more varied and dynamic and I have a lot of options to take per GCD whereas with operative there's often only one sensible option per GCD.
I should note that I'm purely doing story content and I have no interest in operations or PvP, which in Operative's case probably accounts for the lack of ability usage.
Is there any way to control camera height (or just unlock it altogether) or force it to use the cutscene quality player model during normal gameplay? I want to take some cool screenshots.
I wish I had gotten a cap of when Raffid calls that dude a cuck after he bangs his wife, but I was too busy laughing and forgot to restart the scene.
Been away from the game for a while, since before the new expansion. How is it? Probably going to buy it regardless in a few days, but id like to hear some opinions about it anyway.
One of my friends says its great but hes a retard so I dont know how much I can trust him
it's very very linear. the story segments are fairly good, but don't make a lot of sense if you're not a force user and/or don't want to rule, protect or destroy the galaxy.
The ship you get is pretty cool.
Are the Alliance crates worth buying? I have 620 Cartel coins from subbing and getting the security key thing.
well ok then,
Is the cargo space attached to preffered cause I don't remeber buying that.
Seriously theres nothing with CC u need.
Fuck titles, fuck unifying colors, fuck ur rocket boost(I already go 60% faster), got a dope af mount right off the bat, that duster speeder is a ok. Bag space is useless cause my homie Mako just sells greys automatically. Warzones are shit at low levels cause. Probably only do 1-2 flasshpoints a day max.
We stay preffered till max level.
also fuck take ur less xp from quest cause I aint a subscriber. I'm already level 25(double xp) and im still in the second zone. Like I was supposed to leave it at level 16 or something.
LMAO when the less xp cause f2p will actually help me
Too bad I killed them all since first hired me
Nice! I do regret not marrying him for the Baroness title. I still said I'd sleep with him, though.
My favorite part was when his father was like: "shoot that guy" "pay me" "okay" *immediately shoots him*
Come to think of it, SW had a good time on Alderaan too. IA story wasn't super great, though.
If you really want to waste cc on crates then buy them when they're new or about to go off the market, not any other time. And considering there isn't going to be new patch for at least a month it's really not worth to buy even when it goes off market
>level bh to 64
>Start getting a desire to level a sith warrior again
>/swgg/ Star Wars The Old Republic General
>Star Wars The Old Republic
At least you're not trying to hide it anymore. You may as well rename the acronym of this general now.
SW is great, story-wise, but the combat doesn't feel great unless you're fighting big bosses one on one.
Though maybe that's just because my IA friend just murders everything else before I can get a good flow going.
With our BH and SI team up we both just aoe the shit out of everything.
>tfw no Makashi form
I ve played the story thought it has been so long ago i need to make a new character with my new choices, i dont remember what choices i did on the old one
>retry playing my level 18 rage jugg
>queue for pvp
>realize why I like ranged and mid ranged classes
I can't handle jugg in lowbie pvp. Too painful. I'll have to see the SW story another day.
I do it mainly to learn to the basics for a class in the training wheel bracket. Plus the rewards are better. The weekly rewards 900 comms for 5 games instead of 15. Might as well minimize the time per comm ratio.
>Ataru form is dual sabers
>not saber staff
So am I going to get some Alien poontang or what?
>Why are you always so salty?
uwot? I haven't visited these threads in ages. You're probably thinking of someone else with similar complaints.
>The threads were merged for a reason.
Why bother to say you're /swgg/ which stands for Star Wars Games General and then say you're Star Wars The Old Republic General? Make up your mind.
Well hey, enjoy your game that hasn't gotten updated (aside from cash shop items :) ) since October.
Sure was a decent expansion, too bad they've already fucking given up on it.
Is there a tactical mode for Lost Island?
What is the difference between Solo mode, Normal mode, Tactical Mode, and Hard Mode? How come some flashpoints only have some options?
Sorry, I am new, I tried to google, but all I got was retards arguing about which is better and which ones scrubs play through on forums.
I hate it when comps say shit like this. It's not like they actually get better. Like quinn saying he made the ship better or jaesa saying she's better at anticipating attacks.
Kaliyo isn't as cringe inducing as Vette or Mako, even though her introduction is pretty edgelord, but yeah Khem is the clear victor.
That is what I imagine any terrible poster in /swgg/ looks like.
i don't know, but i'm thankful i have at least one GOAT companion
/swgg/ help I am retarded
where do I go to start the black hole missions?
I like how this thread is pretty much the opposite of what happened with TES. The mmo thread died and nobody wants to talk about it. Meanwhile, all we talk about here is the shitty mmo.
Is this game worth playing for the story (mostly single player)?
If so, is the Sith Warrior story any decent? I want to be laser sword babby.
Yeah, you'll have a good time if you want to be a Sith Justice Warrior who is all about channeling your emotions into raining death and destruction on your foes while doing the bidding of your scheming master.
Well, here we
I should go back and get some shots of that abandoned subway on Taris. There's some great environments in this game.
Here instead we argue about waifu companions and r8 my toon.
Where on the fleet?
I checked, but I didn't see anything specifying Black Hole. Is it under some obtuse mission name or is it a clear "Go to Black Hole" or something?
It's shit. But you still need the setbonus. Basically get the setbonus. Equip a shield. Go full endurance/power build by choosing endurance heavy mods and enhancements.
>Kami's Lookout on top of Makeb
holy fuck I'm having
>making your agent wear skimpy clothes
>making any character wear skimpy clothing
desu I'd have less of an issue if any of the skimpy clothing actually looked good, and if they weren't always draped on the skeletal body type 1.
> queue for daily tactical
> Blood Hunt
> 3x level 20
>CORUSCANT AND DROMUND KAAS STRONGHOLDS: ONLY FOUR CREDITS!
What is this? I'm literally downloading the game right now and saw this (I have a level 50 something character I haven't touched since 2012)
The bolster icon for warzones claim you are bolstered to level 60 while you are actually being bolstered to 65. And in a game where one entire spec (bodyguard) was broken for almost 4 weeks (missing abilities) after kotfe and the very same spec having a broken set bonus for 9 months before it was fixed (it worked for the mirror class with a workaround) do you really expect them to keep such minor things up to date?
Please, god, someone help.
All the google results are from forums from 2012 that say talk to a man on the inner ring, he's not there anymore, there's some fucking droid for Ilum there. Others say there's a shuttle outside coronet spaceport, there fucking isn't. I can't find a fucking daily terminal on the imp fleet, just a weekly, and the weekly terminal doesn't have a god damned thing on it about Black Hole missions.
I'm losing my fucking mind, how can there be no fucking data about this shit? How can everything be so fucking out of date? Does no one keep up a wiki or something about this shit? What the FUCK.
The capital planet is 5000 I think normally to unlock. What they don't mention is that unlocking the rooms in there are going to break either your ingame wallet or real life wallet.
And yes you should unlock both of them for 4 credits each and get a mail terminal, bank, gtn terminal, legacy bank and a vendor. You get everything but the gtn terminal and bank in the intro mission from fleet/capital planet(the big hologram).
>breaking your wallet
The fun thing is when you actually want to decorate the building.
Every non-vendor piece that isn't retarded shit like tribal campfires is 500k+.
actually I'm a bit curious about this whole f2p gets less xp thing.
Like I started playing this game maybe a week ago (after seeing the new starwars, I've known about TOR for a while, I liked the kotors, but never really tried TOR, but it's f2p now and start wars so hey why not)
Zero grinding, just doing story missions and sometimes some sidequests that are in the same general area; I just abandon stuff that wasn't in the same general area or that I didn't get while doing main questline when I leave the planet.
I've been CONSISTENTLY 'overleveled'
like I just got to the "go to taris" part, and I'm level 40. It's been more or less the same for the previous missions. The "Level scaling" thing doesn't seem to do much honestly; you still seem to have an overwhelming advantage over natively 'at that level' enemies, not that I'm complaining, some progression is nice.
Anyways, leveling up seems very fast for storymode f2p thus far, unless I haven't hit the "wall" yet, or if the wall was recently removed.
There should be a guy in the fleet with a purple mission icon, if there isn't maybe you already did the starter.
Otherwise you can always buy that legacy transport to get there.
Didn't read the replies, so don't know if those were answered already.
To unlock the entire Tatooine stronghold I think you need something like 25-30k CC. The pricing is retarded. The entire thing is designed to be a money and time sink.
You want to craft your shit? Fine but that will take you an eternity because you need to craft components and combine them and other retarded shit. You want good looking shit? Yeah well enjoy the cartel market and enjoy picking up embargoed goods for a premium on gtn.
this is the physical shuttle to black hole on the right when you go out of coronet, try that
so.... It was that part of the sith warrior campaign where you get jaesa and I was trying to do this whole trickery thing and get her on my side and said something about reforming the empire from within and now apparently I have keep the act up because that's like a recurring thing that jaesa brings up even though I thought it was just some convo thing to go for 'dark side seduction' or trickery or something
short of a new playthrough which is basically more time that I would consider worth it to fix this, is there anything I can do about this?
It's the only place you can access Legacy cargo hold from.
But that can be bought from cm for 110 coins and then just plopped next to the entrance at Coruscant/DK stronghold which you buy for 5k, other than that it's purely visual.
As a sub I use it as a quicktravel point. I pretty much start my session there and end it there. Your inventory full? Teleport to stronghold, sell useless items, list valuable shit on gtn, store shit for later in bank and return to previous location.
It's also where you have access to the legacy bank. I use the legacy bank mainly for extremely valuable shit, crafting materials, legacy bound stuff, endgame gear shared between alts in legacy shells.
Can you play without a stronghold? You certainly can. It just makes stuff easier if you have a lot of alts.
meh, it kinda sucks that I get kind of shoehorned into picking all the super goody two shoes options in convos to keep her approval up. I read about it on some wiki at some point, and I think there might have been some kind of proper first interaction to get her to be more approving of more sith-y behavior
Although I guess it has some canonical merit and irony in the whole thing where afterward your character tells her to "play along" with being a sith and baras etc if you're doing the exact same thing to her
hell, i'll roll with it
It just hit me and I just checked on a pub character, it's a holonet terminal that has "news" about Corellia and the mission takes from there, not a guy, also yellow mission not purple as I said.
But double checking on an imp character it's definitively not there anymore on the imp fleet, what the fuck.
Might be related to events bugging the shit out.
They changed the gearing system for pvp and reduced the grind immensely. Once you are optimized and augmented 208 you are done. Ranked warzones aren't used for gearing outside the daily and weekly mission. You use the comms from ranked warzones to buy the previous season's ranked rewards if you didn't get a high enough rating.
This change was probably brought on because certain classes like mercs are so irrelevant that only 5 mercs qualified for weapon reward while some 500 sorcs qualified for the weapon reward.
>can add bonus to your Conquest
The boost is often too small to make a difference in time to achieve it. I usually get the personal conquest purely from doing 40 warzones on one character. A 10% boost would require 2 less warzone wins. And if GSF is your thing it rewards 500 points per match. Every other week it also rewards I think 1000 per win.
>personal conquest is fairly easy to achieve without the bonus though
Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior?
Also Juggernaut/Guardian or Marauder/Sentinel?
Storywise and combat feel-wise
>What level should I start joining warzones,
Level 10. The level 10-39 bracket is the most forgiving and full of shitters. You can be bad and still do good. No one uses tactics at all. Use this bracket to familiarize yourself with the different maps and objectives. It's mostly a huge confusing death match.
The 40-64 bracket is where things is starting to get challenging. Good people, high level people and people wearing old optimized pvp gear are going to wreck in this bracket. People doing 65 tactics are more common here. See it as the difficulty level being turned up a notch.
>should I wait until max level?
Absolutely not unless you are a swtor pvp veteran. You are going to uninstall after 2 games.
If you want to play the classical good guy paladin knight of light type of deal, play Knight. If you want a dark knight climbing up the power of success through murder and mayhem, play Sith Warrior.
I would recommend Guardian/Juggernaut for a new player. they are easy to play and viable in all game modes. Sentinel/marauder are as well, but they take more getting used to to be used as effectively.
>Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior?
Either one. I enjoyed playing a lightside mostly warrior.
>Also Juggernaut/Guardian or Marauder/Sentinel?
Do you like playing piano? If yes Marauder/sentinel. You like being a self reliant easy to play class play jugg/guardian
>Storywise and combat feel-wise
Both are quite similar combat system wise. Marauder/sentinel has more buttans to press. Storywise I guess knight is a classic kotor story. Sith warrior story might be one of the better ones if you play neutral/light side.
>are there any good guilds on tomb of freedon nad?
tfw guildless on tofn. I keep rejecting guilds everyday when levelling new characters. At 65 no one really cares about inviting you. All good pvp guilds aren't recruiting.
>just started playing 3 days ago, have no idea what im actually doing.
I doubt many guilds would to help you with that. They invite you for the 10% xp bonus and to boost their own rewards.
I started playing warzones once I was already 65, and I was still doing fine even though I was completely new to the game. Needed some tips on gear and build but once I got that sorted, the rest was fairly straight forward. I was playing a Jedi Guardian, so that made things significantly easier.
You know I honestly don't think the new Battlfront is that bad. I really enjoy it.
Is this game not popular here? All I see is Tor shit.
It's still Star Wars though. And EA is controlling all Star Wars games for the time being so there's literally nothing that can be done about it. You can be bitter about it or enjoy the closest thing we'll get for the time being.
>so there's literally nothing that can be done about it
You could not give them money. I mean they put in so little effort expecting an easy cash in and all you're doing is proving them right.
I've waited for 8 fucking years for a new at least decent Star Wars game so I really don't give that much of a shit about my taste as long as I can fuck around in a Star Wars game that isn't Tor shit.
I'm level 18 or something, but still using the thermal grenade and that crappy sniper gun. There's just something satisfying about hitting somebody across the map and watching them ragdoll-backflip with the blast.
Ah, that's pretty standard. I've found that jumpjet is pretty fun, so I've been abusing the fuck out of that. Makes the one shotty type gun actually viable.
I'm only like level 16 since I've only been playing in little bursts after work.
>playing a shitty spin off of Kotor in MMO format
Hey look, I can justify playing a shitty game too. And I didn't pick it. It's the only actual game to come out that's worth playing currently.
how fucking useless is ea support?
i havent been able to see a server list in 2 years. this is almost as bad as fucking Klei entertainment who sold me a game that simply doesnt work
how does ea get away with this shit
Star Wars general was gone so I'll just use this thread.
Does anyone here still play battlefront at all? I got it for Christmas and I've put 30-40 hours into it already, and I see so many glaring gameplay and technical issues. Then I google these bugs and issues and see a lot of forum posts but no word from DICE or EA.
How long have these issues existed (complete rebel air dominance, shitty weapon balancing, bad spawns) and why has DICE been so fucking silent to its playerbase?
Of course :3
ignore the dead meme, game is fine, at least if you are in Europe. On pc i pretty much always find games, and full supremacy ones. And 8 players is pretty easy to find for smaller modes like hero hunt
i am sure /v/ brainwashed haters sure love to spout that meme around ;^)
Sorry, i actually like EA since i play their games, and from my experience the game is alive and fine.
Not my fault americans prefer consoles over pc
Anon, why are you doing this? I don't hate EA. I pay them 15 bucks a month to play their MMO unrestricted.
Battlefront is just a shallow game with little content. All it has going for it is it looks and sounds great.
Please stop this nonsense.
so you dont like it? So you choose to spread misinformation memes around so others wont play it either.
I actually play the game and have a lot of fun, yes it is shallow, pretty much all fps are shallow shooters. But it is a pretty fun game to play with the star wars theme and heroes, and that girly faggot luke coming into the battlefield with tights.
Zash is the only good choice, only a retard would keep a useless whiny tulak horde fanboy over someone as useful and intelligent as Zash
If you dont pay a sub then you shouldnt be playing at all, this game is designed to be played on a sub. No poorfags allowed
Damn great, even the pvp server has a ton of people and at least 100 people to most lower level planets, even managed to get a 16 people world boss raid together only to fail at the boss one though, that thing is a raid boss
>doing side quests on Hutta
>have to either rescue or kill a smuggler
>he refuses to be freed unless I also save all these random slaves I don't care about and am not being paid for
>not a charity, so I kill him instead
>go back to quest giver, he informs me that the smuggler was a ruthless professional
>man was killed for being unable to pay his "protection money", brother tells me he is poor as well
>question how he intends to pay me then
>"oh well he had a hidden stash of valuables for hard times"
So did they put the retard writers on the side quest team or what
>Star Wars general was gone so I'll just use this thread.
This is the general because /swgg/ in topic. It's just that the fabulous fat homo changed the topic and then everyone else that made a new thread after him just copied in the that topic.
>start playing tor summer 2014
>decide I like the playstyle, make him my main
>make another Guardian for Focus
>make another Guardian for Defense
>make another Guardian for Vigilance
>make 5th Guardian to level with a friend
>make a Juggernaut for Vengeance
>make another Juggernaut for Immortal
>never really liked Focus so I make a second Vengeance Jugg for PvP
>make a 4th Juggernaut to level with a friend
How do I stop?
PT/vanguard has one of the better specs in the game. AP is probably the only spec that can solo a good sorc healer. Commando/merc is the shittiest pvp class right now like the past 3 years or so.
It has the worst healer spec. The healer spec has energy management issues, poor sustain healing and poor burst compared with the other two. The dot spec is lol and no one should play it. Arsenal/gunnery is OK in regs but you have survivability and mobility issues. It's basically hard to keep people at distance.
I like arsenal/gunnery though and main it in reg pvp. You can put up 2.5k single target dps in good warzones and feel good about it but other classes can do the same more easily. I actually see no reason to play dps merc over MM sniper.
On my pvp server I occasionally have 2 republic fleet instances. A lot of people of planets too but I blame the new heroic system for that. On the pve server I don't think I have ever seen this many people before. Not even at launch. There were three more or less full instances of DK last night.
I expect it to return to its normal semi-dead state in 3 months though because levelling is fast and the newcomers are going to realize Bioware can't deliver content.
tfw there are people that play this game that thing Heroic Star Fortresses are impossible to solo
It's the least offensive recent star wars game. It's also one most people hadn't given a chance, so it's new to a lot of people trying it now, which means there is actually shit to talk about.
Really wish battlefront had content to discuss.
>Remove the collar from vette on my first playthrough as warrior
>Play bh, agent etc
>so many annoying female companions needing shock collars to stop being whiny cunts
Well on my replay of the sith warrior i am not gonna remove the collar from vette, does anything big change? I dont care about her since i am gay
>Instead of just outright not implementing singleplayer they give you 2 minutes long "Training" missions that have cutscenes and cool shit, just enough to be a huge fuck you to anyone who would have enjoyed a campaign
>Fighting a hero as a hero feels like absolute fucking garbage, seriously Jedi Knight 1 (1997) had better lightsaber combat
>They say it would be all about the original trilogy while ony 3/5 maps have any connection to it
>Voice acting for the heroes is beyond pathetic
>The faction balance makes you question the dev's sanity
>Shitty pickups instead of actual vehicles, making the whole point of "LOOK HOW STAR WARS THIS LOOKS" moot
>110€ for all 5 hours of actual content
Hi, my name is Darth Maleficent and I'm angry.
I have two issues with the sith inq storyline
1. Ashara cannot be turned. She's a pretty useless fallen jedi. Should have given us Jaesa instead
2. Why am I acting so cocky at the start? I am a slave forced into sith training. I should be acting like the obedient trash that I am with painful consequences if I don't. Of course, slowly coming into my own when I'm unleashed onto the galaxy and gaining self-confidence in my power.
Other than that I give it a 7/10
Elaborate. I don't see how showing respect to people who are ordering you around in a strange place will get you killed. You still have your skill, you're just, dialogue wise, playing the role of an actual slave.
Why can't the dialog options actually say what your idiot character is gonna say? I'm tired of going "yeah, i'll say this" clicking on the thing and my character saying something else entirely. This is horseshit.
I really could not enjoy any of the stories all that much. Each class sort of has a handful of moments I'm happy with, but overall it's trying so hard to ruin my immersion that I focus on the WoW-clone bits for fun, instead.
And then they make an all-story expansion instead of an MMO expansion and I feel sad.
Don't worry, there isn't much innovation anywhere else either.
Time for another round of oh god this question is asked all the fucking time jesus I fucking hate this general.
How bad is Battlefront on PC? I was around visiting my brother and he had it on PS4 and it was pretty fun, but I think I remember hearing it was dead as fuck and full of hackers on PC, is that right?
I probably wouldn't get it anyway because >Origin, but I'm curious all the same.
>always play the game over Winter Break, every year, only time I have to play it.
>doing story and planet arc quests only
>now even some basic green gear quest rewards is subscriber only
ARE YOU SHITTING ME
What the fuck is wrong with people.
So I pre-ordered this game when it was coming out, played the beta for a month then returned/canceled the game to best buy (pre-ordered physical copy) because it was shit.
My account still says I'm a pre-order veteran or whatever, which is nice I guess. Do I get any free stuff?
Also what should I roll if I don't want to play a melee character?
Also what should I roll for the most fun,
I don't think you get anything for being a faggot who didn't listen to people's warnings at release.
For ranged, there's sith sorcerer, sniper and mercenary or sage, gunslinger and commando.
>Do I get any free stuff?
You could try a referral to get a few f2p unlocks on every character and a free character transfer, but I don't know if it's going to work if you never were a subscriber, or if you're not going to sub.
Here's mine if you wanna give it a try:
Here's the deal bro, I was in every beta session for this game and had the Collector's Edition or whatever its called and I was hype as fuck for this game. I was subbed at one point, so I paid for it (at one point) and I think I should get some sort of benefits for that...right? hehe
>installing for first time
>The Launcher is being updated. Please wait.
is it supposed to take this long? There's no progress bar either so for all I know it's not doing jack shit
Basically yeah, but its interesting. Its a lot more about what players can do, just yesterday I found a mall filled with a bunch of people selling stuff. It's not like WoW or SWTOR at all, so much more interesting. A lot more profession options as well. I'd suggest giving it a shot.
Unless SWG emulators find a way to limit 1 character/account per player they will all fail to replicate SWG, as it was designed with that idea in mind.
When it was live live it was starting to suck already when people started paying for more than 1 account.
People multi client and I feel like it is fine. The playerbase is small enough that it can be hard to find buffs and what not, so having the bots around to buff you is pretty nice.
>tfw no IRL QT lesbian GF to spend my credits on.
"why live" indeed.
I really like my Scrapper Scoundrel, the rotation/priority seems really smooth and there's something satisfying about punching out Sith Edglords and shooting them in the back with Space Shotguns.
But I hear it's actually like one of the worst DPS specs in the game right now? Is it so bad that I'd get refused by groups doing OPs and shit?
Slicing makes lods of emone.
But none of the professions HAVE to go 'mining', but some of them can. You can just send your companions you aren't currently using away to do missions, but you can also find stuff lying around while you're questing.
First time playing here, looking for some "why you prefer X class" shit. I'm on the wiki looking at things but so far it's just "everything beats everything!" and spaceships.
Also does Pazak still exist.
Story wise, Sith Warrior and IA are generally considered top. Depending on your preference other stories are good though. If you wanna a completely bog standard good beats evil, JK is good.
If all you care about is how good the class is then
No point in playing, story is literally all this game has.
I don't know, even though it might have some sort of gameplay justification on low population environments, it goes way too much against one of the strongest points SWG had: player interdependence. They will all have to re-balance a bunch of stuff to accommodate for that properly, but none of them are willing to do any of that last time I checked, they all seem hellbent on a 1:1 replica of what it was.
I would still play for the light RP and JTL
once it's fucking done in about 10 more years from now holy shit swgemu get you are shit together already.
Marauder isn't difficult to play its just takes more effort to be a good one.
I'm only interested in playing the story, I don't care about end game PVE/PVP. I obviously like the look of it much more.
Just sucks that I don't get to test both of them out. Is either of the two ACs more DoT focused? I hate dots.
>Voss Contact tells you about an immensely powerful force user you need to recruit called Darth Lord Master Knight Super Emperor God King
>It's fucking Guss Tuno
Smuggler and BH really need some companions brought back in to the mix. LOL JK MORE IA COMPANIONS
>It's just that it has 2x as many buttons as any other class.
I'm quite certain that is false and a popular belief to somehow excuse the people being shit at the class. Especially considering my arsenal merc has 36 keybinds and I use them all in pvp.
>Especially considering my arsenal merc has 36 keybinds
How? The The arsenal rotation is like 6 buttons with 2 fillers and 9 situationals. Are you using a bunch of stims, grenades, and old relics? Because those don't count.
So I only have one char who is a lvl 50 lightside SW but he's so old I forgot how I played him and he feels hollow.
I never did the Hutt Cartel, Shadow of Revan or this newer content. Does your origin story affect how any of this plays out, or is it just vague allusions to you in the dialogue? Which origin gets the most/best allusions?
Stealth is like WoW Rogue's, you even get a Vanish that's somehow even buggier than Vanish in WoW! Amazing!
OP is a bit weak right now and Sniper is ridiculously strong as always, but Stealth is really useful in this game, especially for heroic quests.
Also, the entire IA story is about infiltration and assassination, which I personally think suits OP more.
Only that one with "SOE code" has it last time I checked, and they didn't seem to have a "play" server just yet.
Another matter would be what version of JTL they will implement, because SOE did a major JTL rebalance later in the game way into the NGE that made most chassis viable, until then only a few were. Also added quite a bit of, albeit grindy, PvE content that I might also be interested.
I just can't see myself seriously playing SWG again in the next 5 years or so if any, until emulators and/or individual servers come to terms with what they want to do regarding JTL, again, if that ever happens.
Nobody seemed to like JTL that much it would appear.
I'm pretty sure Reborn has JTL but only a certain faction or something, and there is a lot of drama with the admins power abusing I guess. If SWGemu ever gets JTL I would be so down to make a droid engineer pilot character. I think Disney could eventually be interested in either promoting SWGemu or reviving it similar to what is going on now with old school runescape.
>How? The The arsenal rotation is like 6 buttons with 2 fillers and 9 situationals.
explosive dart to annoy stealth and prevent caps
Thermal sensor override
death from above occasionally since I rather use:
And I probably forgot one
>Are you using a bunch of stims, grenades, and old relics? Because those don't count.
stims and grenades are 3 keys
>Doing SoR on my character that did pretty much every quest from back at launch
>References to random quests I did on Tatooine and shit hey that's pretty neat
>Sometimes my character remembers Revan and knows who he is, sometimes he doesn't
Seems like every emulator attempt is filled with drama since they are a thing, I think SWGEmu is on like its third iteration of code because of that, they've "started from scratch" or similar so many times I lost the count, and I didn't start following its development from the start.
I can't see Disney promoting an amateur attempt to revive an old online game, might as well CND them and develop their own if they ever get interested.
I never followed Runescape, but I don't think it's comparable.
>droid engineer pilot character
That was sort of my SWG character, almost like Rey before that dumb ass Rey was even a thing.
She was a Smuggler RP-wise (smuggled shit inside droids, etc) and also turned Jedi for a bit.
I was so fucking mad after watching TFA, Jesus Christ.
you shouldn't, 90% of the people playing SWTOR don't even know what the proper rotation for their class specc is
Scrapper is all about burst and that loses to sustained on big health mobs, but only elitist assholes would deny you OP spots
>I really like my Scrapper Scoundrel, the rotation/priority seems really smooth and there's something satisfying about punching out Sith Edglords and shooting them in the back with Space Shotguns.
Personally I run out of buttons press and default to quickshot and drain energy. What to do when everything is on cooldown?
I really like this gane, combat is fun, I love the story line, but no way in he'll will I pay a subscription
Any chance of there being private servers?
I should mention I don't mind paying full price for a game, but I hate monthly fees
I only find that I don't have a "real" button to press once every like, 20 seconds or so and I just use the free cost attack.
Just sub once and then cancel it. You get all 3 expansions permanently unlocked, and you can pretty much blow through all the actual content the game has to offer in a month anyway.
> companions from other classes showing up in your current class companion missions don't show up with their customization if they have them in a character of their original class you might have
Guess that would bee asking too much from BioWhere.
You mean like when Kaliyo shows up in Doc's quest?
That's not just asking too much of Bioware, that's asking it to check the inventory of another, offline character's pet's inventory.
Unless Customizations were applied/unlocked through the legacy system, it's a bit farfetched,
You're overthinking it.
In the case of Kaliyo, just dress her like the Kaliyo of the latest Agent character you played in that legacy.
Should be simple enough, in theory at least, who knows what mess will actually be involved.
But yeah it's farfetched alright, and no matter how easy, your OWN companions customizations are still borked in some story cutscenes and it's been like that for a while now.
>run around for two hours on taris searching for that hk part, together with three other people
>scan the whole area at least twice
This quest, man. Every grind is better than this shit. Either we found a new bug, or ... I don't know, really. This game is really frustrating some times. Anyone got a tip for that taris part? And don't tell me "look on dulfy or spy" or something.
>decided to romance Lana again this time as JK from Agent since opposite side romances sound more romantic than one between people on the same side, also because Jedi/Sith
>actually reach SoR expansion
Meh, the much lesser interaction with her due to Theron being Pubs main contact is making this quite a bummer
This is kinda why I liked Kylo Ren. With how he gets his ass kicked by an untrained sue and tries to live up to Vader in-universe, he almost feels like a completely intended aversion to the concept.
>playing swtor with a friend
>get to Makeb
>they start flirting with people
>forced to watch him kiss the dude
Like, I don't care, I'm gay myself, but why the fuck do I have to watch this? Shouldn't this be a 1-on-1 thing? Is all the world content after class quests meant to be played solo or something?
Who else hyped by the fact that Poe and Finn could legitimately be gay in the next movie? I would be so fucking overjoyed, HYPE!
>forced to watch him kiss the dude
internalized homophobia intensifies.
Get a boyfriend soon
>he actually waits above the body of Finn who is in coma
>hears this quote from the force "only true loves kiss can break this curse"
>Finn wakes up
>proceed to have sex and get married a few days after that
Finn is best snowhite
>start consular storyline for the first time
>it is a story about being a magical goody-two-shoes healer that must travel across the galaxy healing shit
Holy shit this is boring, its like watching mushishi but without the comfyness
Does it get better?
This kinda class design flares up my autism.
they give you a few cooldowns to specifically help with having so-so movement for a few seconds at a time. why not just design the class better instead of bandaid it?
>internet faggots always screaming for friends in shows and movies to be gay for each other without any signs along the way.
You won't influence Disney loud faggot.
>selling shitty decorations that you can buy with crystals to dumb people
>my friend and I making good cash out of it
>suddenly moralfags everywhere trying to teach us the values of being honest
>on a fucking game
I knew I should've gone to an english speaking server
>don't get -1000 alignment until halfway through Dromund Kaas
>-1000 alignment before even finished with Korriban
The path to the Dark Side is paved with electrocuted Twi'leks.
Did you guys not read my post?
>just think it's fucking awkward to do this kissing shit in a group, makes Makeb feel like it's supposed to be a solo instance
>get shit on by fucktarded flamers that can't read a full post because they've lost too many braincells due to oxygen starvation after choking on cocks 365 days a year
When armour restricts your dexterity bonus in KoTOR 1 and 2, is that just in terms of the bonus to defence? Or is it ALL things dexterity adds to?
It doesn't matter if you're gay or not (especially if you're white), being uncomfortable around two men kissing and putting their dick in each others poopers is homophobic and racist.
I mean it's 2016 !
Superior waifu coming through!
and husbando if you're girl or gay or both
I just finished watching Star Wars 1-6 (I saw them as a kid, but forgot everything and wanted to rewatch them before seeing TFA)
Should I buy Battlefront or Lego Star Wars complete collection?
I get you're trolling, but god damn, that shit comes up way too often in real life. Husband's brother's boyfriend is a super flamer and constantly tries to push SJW agenda whenever we visit his family or have them over. Always talking about how we need to be loud and proud and support the gay community and go to pride parades and shit. Like, fuck off, I want to play video games and shit, I don't care about any of that horseshit.
Anyway, in the game, it'd be awkward to be kissing a dude or a girl, male or female, whatever. Like, if you're in a group, does that mean you decide everyone in your group kissed/flirted with the NPC too? Because I mean, LS/DS choices count when you lose the roll, whoever you killed on DS or spared on LS still persists even if you tried to save or kill them. Just seems like a dumb design decision. Like why not have flirting options, and then a secondary personal quest to date him or some shit that you can choose whether or not to tag along to with your friend?
