I played Kancolle religiously for a while but it's the same shit in the end.

The problem with CoT is its only a puzzle the first time. After that you just have to grind back through them. It should have been a set of puzzles of different difficulties that change every month or so, and once they have a big enough puzzle base they can shuffle some older ones back in for people to attempt again. Doing the same 20-40 levels every week doesn't accomplish anything but rewarding players for being strong already.

Silent Cold is a really really good unique but it evolves from a receiving pass stone which people sometimes put on a striker's prism slot. You'd think Will could OHKO everything in Gold easily but no, he really needs Silla for that extra pen to be able to OHKO reliably (or a superbed passer). More proof that Silla is the root of all evil.

I have discovered one thing though. Never let Kiki face the enemy striker, ever. Because she WILL suicide steal and cost you the match 80% of the time. That could probably apply to many defenders.

You should try to go for a legend from the first few rolls so you can get double legend once you reach rank 30. If the two legends are shit, then reroll.

The only downside with meiran is that using her active does not count as an action for triggering her stack for some reason.

Meiran penetrating is one action, passing it after a breakthrough is another and this sets her at +2 (30% speed and +30% attack for entire team). I made sure not to level up her active for this reason. If she penetrated and then used her active skill it would only be 1 stack (15%).

I didn't really want her wasting the action bar anyway though.

If it is just diamond or plat, Khirel in the back middle can win a hell of a lot of matches for you on his own. He will charge from back to front and break out far more often than not, especially with Yuri buffing is CAR.

Khirel can still be stopped on reflex even with CAR, but he has two attacks and even if they live they have 1hp remaining. You will always have a free path up the middle, providing your GK is not OHKO often.
