Just finished Hina's route, it did absolutely nothing for me. Maybe I'm just burnt out on vns at the moment but everything about it I felt like I'd seen before and better done. It had nothing of interest, the conflict was a copy of Shizuru's route, the ending was a copy of Akari's route and even Hinata was a pretty standard kohai type.

Well what Fate has done is sorta what Citizen Kane has done which was redefined what VNs (Movies) could really do, comparing this to other mainstream oldies like Clannad, Ever 17, or even those of the floppy disc era. At least for the western or english land. Tsukihime probably did this for Japan unless there's an older more acknowledged one I can't think of.

I can't really say I like any VN more than another. VN's, for me, are better judged for the experience the give you. I could say I liked something like Devin on a G-String more than Muv Luv as it gave me a better experience, but I wouldn't say it's better.

I think it's just cause it took me weeks to finish Extra and Unlimited which was exhausting to read through and for Alternative, I read all of it in one go, and, while the ending was great, all i remember from the ride was exhaustion.

Obviously everyone has different experiences with vns just like with every form of media.

Muv Luv is considered good by a lot of people and they hype it up because compared to a lot of things that they've read it is just better. Of course that doesn't mean it's gonna be that great for everyone, but for me personally it lived up to the hype 100%. It was a great ride and I had read a good amount of vns before going in.

I marathoned the entire series as well and just wanted more of that universe and setting.
