Gravity Rush has a pretty decent, if simple, combat system if you actually use combos, air kicks, dodge kicks and slide kicks. But you can just get by on spamming gravity kick, and in the flight heavy areas and against flying enemies it's all you CAN do.

I hope for gravity rush 2 that they either offer more ground combat and try to discourage gravity kick where it isn't necessary, or offer more air attacks. The special attacks in 1 are pretty fun but their recharge time is just ridiculous

I had a PS2 a couple years later, got it chipped for dirt cheap. Never knew what was wrong with it, must have been done badly because the loading times of games like Soul Calibur 2 where becoming longer every day, to the point where one battle could take more than 2 minutes to load.

I really liked the combat in GR but the thing about it is that positioning is central to the combat, because the game itself is built entirely around your ability to position yourself. As a concept that's awesome but in practice the issue with GR1 was that to go with those positioning mechanics there were relatively few combat options and one of them, the gravity kick, was far less situational and far more powerful than anything else. Ultimately that meant the combat itself was highly repetitive.

The trailers for 2 show they're offering more options for combat which is appreciated. I like where they're going with the style change system where each one is optimal for different positions and enemy types. Faster enemies will probably require more use of moon gravity, slower and bulkier or more ground based enemies will require more use of jupiter gravity etc.

I don't think they should discourage the gravity kick, in fact I think it should stay central to some degree. But what they should do is give you more viable position-based sub-attacks beyond the kick, like making projectiles less situational or making them better than the kick in certain situations. Coupled with mode changing I honestly think that would make the combat pretty great.

Depending on the game the extra stuff takes sometimes only an hour or two. And to be honest games are fucking overpriced as shit, getting some more extra hours out of a game is always welcome. Other games just have you see all the stuff in a game like Rorona+ for example where you got the plat for beating post game bosses and getting all endings. There was no other shit where you'd have to go out of your way to get it.

BB is a very achievable plat and relies much less on grinding than the other souls games. I actually had fun doing it and probably would've gotten it even if I didn't try, since it just involves getting all items, beating almost all bosses and finishing the game a few times. I made a couple of long posts back then about how to farm everything for endgame, maybe some anon saved it.

For the subclasses farm, the quickest method is to go into a carnage item with 20 stars, find a geo symbol and kill it with the spell that kill it automaticaly. After that, go out of the item and do it again for each classes. You can also do it with a thief and chests, but they spawn less than geo symbol.

For quick masteries, you can do 5 char at the same time by magichanging with the char destroying the geo symbol. Metallia is a monster class character, so she can do it.

If you dont find a geo symbol on floor 1 or two, rather than using a gency you can choose to give up and go back to the base instead.

I'm only mission the dmg trophy and the item level trophy for the plat, i'll be doing it after finishing the last 3 missions task I need for the MGS 5 plat.

For mastering subclasses put Metallia in the Skill Sharing Squad with a Sage as Leader, then go into any R39+ LoC item you have lying around with the mob difficulty set to 20* at the cheat shop, if there is a Geo Symbol on the map use Geo Blast with Metallia to Deathblow it, if there are no Geo Symbols on the map either Gency out or quickly finish the map. Takes 1 Geo Symbol per subclass. If you get lucky mastering all of them can be done in like 30 minutes, but even with bad luck it shouldn't take much longer than an hour.

For Shard Farming Metallia can easily handle the Asagi map at 20* once you get her to around 11m or so if you stack absolutely every modifier you can think of. If you have Salvatore from the DLC make sure you put her as Squad Leader of the Interrogation Squad for better percentages on your Extracts. Once you are settled in you can make a 10m Extract in 40mins or so, it's all pretty quick and painless. Also make sure you use the Maid Evility that lets you use single target items in a + shape so your Extract boosts 5 people instead of just 1. If you use the Evility that ups item range by 2 your maid also doesn't have to be part of those 5.

Why are you even playing Disgaea games if you think 3h is much though? D5 makes everything so effortless to get it feels really unrewarding if you played more of the series

The controller's audio is pretty crap. It works if you really have no other options but it's not that great and definitely won't do stuff like Bloodborne much justice.

I use an SMSL SD793-II but that's just because I had it lying around.

You can go with pretty much anything that has an integrated DAC (Digital-Analog-Converter) and either HDMI or Optical in, generally speaking pretty much every modern AV Receiver would work and you could use that for more than just your PS4 as well if you end up getting other stuff down the line. The PS4 only has a single HDMI out so if you want to go with something that only has HDMI in for your audio you would need a splitter as well.
