can we stop this maid bullshit?
that's why anime or anything related to weeaboo is pure cancer because you cant stop shoving your shit down other peoples throat
you dont see me forcing my fetish in OP
And I think I just found my new base location.
Mmm yes, how perfect.
What kinds of issues?
>Haven't seen a volcano yet
they turned it off in cfg by default to prevent fucked up generation
>what biomes tend to not generate?
last time i checked swamps, some island biomes like mushroom islands and some other mod related biomes had problems so they disabled them too
>Complaining about the only guy that bothers to make the threads anymore
I agree spamming the maids over and over is shitty but other people can pitch in and make threads too you know.
I don't know how long I have waited to make a proper log cabin in minecraft.
Though I think I should have looked at some pics of actual log cabins before I started though, this doesn't look right.
But I suppose its the best I could do when my current only building materials is Wood and cobblestone.
The taiga problem is most likely vanilla's fault, you know well how ucked up 1.7 generation is. At least the upcoming RTG version will have compatibility with Climate Control so you'll be able to tweak climate zones so they aren't as huge as they are by default.
Vanilla swamps do generate as well, I know because I have one right by where I set a base up and I'm tired of those endless Naga/Siren assaults. Maybe BoP is the one who fucks swampland generation up?
Hey guys, I've figured out the origin of the wierd map from earlier: it's from an old dungeon map generator thingamagig that I had at one point a couple computers ago and somehow the map managed to survive. Unfortunately, upon digging through the magical city, a creeper ambushed poor Dai and blew her into Sei, but that's okay because now I can churn these maps out ad-infinum! How many fairies does it take to conqure the dungeon challange, you reckon?
Lets find out! Alloting some 146 bullets to her after the previous dozen attempts of just rushing in with nothing led in tradgedy (not like they'll help: most of the deaths have been lava-related.)
And off to a good start: this part of the dungeon contains an iron boomerand and wing set from one of my ill-fated cohorts who perished to the spiders. Since the save is backed up after this point, it's become something of a side-objective to get the boomerang for a reusable weapon, though I've lost about five Dais getting stuck in the webs.
Note that it took a gorillaton of bullets just to kill a silverfish getting in here: think I'll just save them for actually scary things. Like spiders.
>Vanilla swamps do generate as well, I know because I have one right by where I set a base up and I'm tired of those endless Naga/Siren assaults. Maybe BoP is the one who fucks swampland generation up?
They appear with or without BoP. That's a swampland north of the village. Only mushroom islands are disabled by default.
>The taiga problem is most likely vanilla's fault, you know well how ucked up 1.7 generation is
I think it's because there are about 50 million different taiga biomes in vanilla, and all of them have a mutation. I don't think RTG bothers differentiating the mutations because of how fucking retarded the whole base biome ID + 127 thing vanilla uses is, so it just picks the mutations as if they're their own unique biomes.
But yeah, the whole thing could be fixed by them just making the default biome weights more sensible in the config.
While the spider rooms are always bad news, I've lost most of my saves trying to pass through these infernal lava rooms: when Daiyousei hits the ceiling, she rebounds down a bit, which can lead to her hitting her head and falling into a pit of lava. This is most prominent in the sand rooms full of triggers that cause all the sand to fall to reveal lava when stepped on.
Yee, the mediocre armour room. Not someplace I've been to a dozen times defore (though it should be noted that landmine rooms like the one before it are one of the easiest to clear with gliding.)
Dang it, a stupid maid detonated that lava-sand room! Since it leads to the next area, I'll need to find the nearby sand-room and fill it in to pass.
On an aside, the axe I have is found in a specific quarter of the dungeon behind a landmine room and a smaller lava-sand room: if I had to guess it's the best weapon this place has to offer, and it'll be handy in setting up a base assuming I manage to make it out of this place while carrying it with my current life.
And I mistep and fall into the lava, /again/.
One more attempt for the night before I call it a new year. I'll cut down on the skim and only update to the parts you haven't already witnessed.
No starting danmaku: all this save gets is 5 melon slices like the others.
>it's another maid OP
>I hate sand.
Because it's coarse and rough and it gets everywhere?
GUYS how do i make this game fun again? I've been playing it since beta 1.4 and always used to come back to it and now for a year i just can't. i get bored after 10 minutes of playing. mods are too complicated or either not worth bothering with. servers suck dick. help
The game crashed and now my resolution is messed up.
I'm on a 1366x768 laptop so I can't really see shit.
How can I fix this?
FIX THE INFINITY SERB RIGHT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
why don't you do it yourself
How am I supposed to know the right answer? All I know is that if I remove Chisel it still happens.
You should stop posting answers if you have no idea what you are talking about.
Cocksucking faggot, kill yourself
>asks for help
>spergs out against the only guy who bothers to help him
holy shit you fucking sperglord why don't you go ahead and just kill yourself, that'll certainly make sure you never see that harmless little message that pops up only once but still manages to massively triggers your low functioning autism to the point you have to get rid of the mod
All I did was to click a button in MultiMC to disable it. Enabling it is as simple as clicking it again, fucking retard. How else am I supposed to find if it is actually Chisel causing this?
It's not a help if you post something completely unrelated, without even mentioning that you have absolutely no idea of what you are saying or bothering to test it.
It isn't the little message that is annoying, it is the fucking fireworks. Really, kill yourself low IQ nigger.
I did not throw a sperg to any post that was trying to help me, only to this useless and fucking retarded and aggressive message: >>127134705
Do you have any other mods made by tterrag1098? I mean, other than Chisel.
It's EnderCore, it's almost definitely not Chisel.
Ender IO Addons generates a Happy New Year! for every timezone in the world The fireworks truly enhanced the BTM preparation experience.
>getting triggered by fireworks
I am glad I don't have aspergers
May I ask why you find a few fireworks so annoying that it "ruined your day"? Seems like a huge overreaction to nothing. I don't see people putting out patched jars for iChunUtil because of its falling chicken easter egg. Which imo is way more intrusive.
I don't use it
>ruined your day
that's me being annoyed at his passive-agressive reaction
I make many new worlds in a day and I have to deal with this never-ending firework launching
>any advantages of hosting your own server (local) and connect to it?
Doing so is a workaround for some bugs. For example, large minetweaker scripts will take a while to run, and when starting the game normally (where the server and client threads are in the same process), minetweaker will run on both threads, blah blah blah, and then any mod crafting tables like auto workbenches, LP auto crafting tables or forestry worktables will lose all of their recipes.
>If you hate it that much then maybe play something else today?
why play something else if I can just disable them?
>God forbid a modder add something a little fun into a mod
easter eggs have multiple times been proven to be a cancer, example: http://phpsadness.com/sad/11
Well that mod's going in the recycling bin. Thanks for the heads up.
>durr i'm going to make my mod render your game unusuable during early april
Fucking autistic memers and their unhinged pranks.
BC is still alive. Get Railcraft and Forestry too if you like BC.
IC2 died and spawned an infinite amount of "industrial" mods. Some of which I like are EnderIO, Immersive Engineering and Rotarycraft.
RP is dead too, but there's Redlogic to replace circuitry and logic parts of it.
If you want some more flavor, I could recommend Matter Overdrive and RFTools.
Aspergers aside, what kind of voodoo do I have to do in modtweaker to get this to work?
I wish to bypass a lot of the bullshit with Botania using RFtools.
Cast Energetic Alloy Ingots/Blocks from its molten counterpart. ExtraTiC.
And before you say anything, that system does work on any other castable metal. You do not need to use the TiC spouts, and you can even use TiC spouts as a cheap alternative to Fluid Transposers if you only need to run them with a right click.
deal with it, there's nothing that you can do
>tfw no TFC standalone worldgen
as been said.. gregtech machinery, bits of ic2. catwalks. bamboo mod drawers.
big lightblocks are from AMT2, smaller lights from the Halogen mod.
it's part of the processing floor. ore processing will be moved to the half-finished area with sandstone floor in the back.
and AMT2 updated and added various hedges..
How about those full stone slab blocks? Did you Minetweak that, or does some mod add a recipe for them?
And for that matter, that little emblem on the end of your hotbar. At this point, a modlist would be appreciated. You have a bunch of cool shit.
>FTB is biggest modpack group
>FTB is under Curse's umbrella, where almost all the modders post now
>FTB isn't used by any of the big Youtubers or Twitch streamers anymore
I quite like the Dwellers from that mod - I set them to spawn in ocean biomes, since it adds a bit of danger to underwater exploration.
I don't know of any other mods that actually add threatening underwater enemies so Lycanite's will have to do.
the full stone slabs recipe is actually added by gregtech. I know of several mods that add that convenience recipe.
I don't use minetweak because once you start you never stop. I end up changing every single recipe to fit in with gregtech.
the emblem is a raden charm from AMT2, used for fast travel. you can use them as items or embed them in blocks to make static teleporters.
here's the client-side list.
Adds several natural deposits in the world and nether of brightly coloured, luminous liquids that needed special buckets to move and damaged you if you stood in them. It was pretty fun, especially since the liquids would interact with each other to do certain things e.g. create cobblestone or even clay.
>Implying I have a main world
>Implying I'm not just adding and removing mods, then loading up "New World" over and over again
Spacecraft. Once I get around to actually playing the game.
Not him, or anyone who's played with the mod, but even if they aren't you can use MorePlayerModels and use literally any NPC model installed in your pack as your player model.
I figured out how I killed the serb. I put an EIO Item Buffer next to an Agricraft Seed Storage, and EIO crashes when it tries to check for items to pull. Deleting the buffer or the storage should fix the crashes.
Not sure how you are going to delete it though. Maybe the server's crash reports have the coordinates of the item buffer, and you can delete it with MCEdit?
Looks like whoever made Chisel just ripped the textures from Painterly and didn't even bother to check if they actually looked like the blocks they're meant to be.
And finally, after another bleeding attempt, I am past the spider rooms, the terrible lava, and the gotdamn SAND. Too bad I all managed to get out of this run was some food and a couple crappy pieces of leather armour.
Here's to hoping for a less annoying next dungeon.
Technically no, but possible to use them with other mods or the official addon mod.
Also, for all 5 of your GoG fans out there, I learned how to "tame" the monstergirls into doing your bidding, without thaumic horizons.
And I enter a world of bridges and hills. Next dunegon must be up ahead.
Of course it won't be that easy, and it becomes a battle for the brdige up ahead.
>without thaumic horizons
Build your machines formlessly out in the open, and once you have everything set up, build something around them. Alternatively, place a relatively random 1-tall border of blocks without thinking too hard about it, then build up the floor plan from there and try to fit everything inside it.
>Alternatively, place a relatively random 1-tall border of blocks without thinking too hard about it, then build up the floor plan from there and try to fit everything inside it.
Think I'll try this out, thanks anon.
No problemo. I'm pretty proud of what I've built using that plan.
If it's not too much trouble. A text guide would work fine too, if that's easier for you.
Luckily, shelter is visible up ahead: just have to fend off these goonies for a bit more...
And in. Luckily, no monsters, in spite of the lack of lighting. Now to wait out the morning.
While I'm on a surface with trees, might as well craft a few mediocre wooden items. Also using the bread and sticks to make an NPC wand to spawn a lackey: in my experience, they never last beyond a couple floors, but maybe this time, it'll be different?
Oh, and a look at the house from the sky. This place would be pretty comfy if it didn't fill in with monsters every night.
With lackey in tow (proper name "Petty Construct), we descend into the next dungeon. What will we find? Probably certain death. Hopefully not by sand trap.
After moving through another lava room, we come across this doozy: these brick rooms have a ceiling of lava and a bunch of pistons underneath which randomly go off to push an unfortunate soul into them.
Another type of sand room: if you somehow manage to arm yourself with a weapon that can destroy blocks, or are in the company of a creeper, these things become a giant hazard. With neither of those, they're just scenery.
As someone in a circle with a lot of lewd artists, many CAN'T fap to their own artwork. They say it feels too personal, or they see too many flaws, or they just don't ever find it sexy. Many will tell you they think it's impossible for others to do this
Monsters up ahead. Lets hope lacky knows what it''s doing-
Would you like your possessions identified? [Y/N]
(Last save starts at end of Sand Dungeon, since I'm not going through that shit again.)
Download Custom NPC's then do what I do in the webm for whatever waifu you want.
Protip: Remember to have fun.
Shut the fuck you loser piece of shit, at least he's contributing instead of bitching like some four year old throwing a temper tantrum. Go pan for gold in a tfc serb for nine hours you useless shit.
The best solution to this weeb fag is for him to trip up so people who dislike him can filter him, and for him to stitch together some images so that he can still post, just less often. That's my opinion and advice as a neutral third party here.
threads are dying frequently too, everyone's autism gives up sooner or later
>tfw one day there will be nowhere to discuss MC but MCF aka kiddie purist cesspit and /r/feedthebeast aka /r/moddevhugbox aka /r/feedthemoddevsupvotes
Still a better love story than Flan's Mod.
>Microsoft buys Mojang for MULTIPLE BILLIONS of dollars
>oh boy, now we can see some actual content and a regular update schedule
>over a year now without any actual content updates
>Modding Community is finally losing steam because of all the drama and Curse/FTB Bullshit and Minecraft itself getting shittier with each update with all of the rewrites
>creativity among mods is nonexistent and most of them just copy each other in a circlejerk race to see who can make the most overpowered Ore Multiplier that requires the least amount of time and effort to obtain/make
>>creativity among mods is nonexistent and most of them just copy each other in a circlejerk race to see who can make the most overpowered Ore Multiplier that requires the least amount of time and effort to obtain/make
People have started to catch on to those when mods like Ztones and Draconic Dildolotion begun to take it too far, today devs are more focused into making a collage of everyone's favorite features from other mods. I don't need to remind anyone who the major offender is.
I was one of the guys optimistically looking forward to that.
>No updates, no modding api, realms still garbage
>Official forums and mod hosting is still curse infested
>It's so bad developers don't even us it and skip to >reddit
A billion could buy a lot, even a million dumped could buy these and all they did was use it to sell console copies and shill the new windows with.
Maybe one day mojang will tank the sales and force them to intervene or at least take notice, and maybe inadvertently fix something.
>we've reached a point where Kitchen Sink Mod Packs are being condensed into single Kitchen Sink Mods
>but they all still fail to make Minecraft good
If you have to ask, you're better off just paying Mojang and saving yourself the trouble. The game's popularity among an audience with single digit ages makes finding malware-free downloads a pita.
All right, after years of being out of the system, you people (or whoever was in last thread, anyway) have convinced me to jump back in. It wasn't easy, having to find up to date version of all my stuff, but it is done.
I need mods, mods for 1.7.10 (since supposedly 1.8 is still an unmoddable mess). Extra points if it's pirate related, like a half-decent ship mod.
Notch made the right choice for himself, but he sure as hell didn't make the right choice for Minecraft. This game is going to going nowhere and we all know it. It's going to go nowhere fast if the dinner and forge can't sync with each other and not release a version that breaks everything.
Also, the Touhou posters and their MMD rips remind me of very early Minecraft when Notch used quake models to showcase the entity system (which is naturally impossible to find because Notch closed his old account). I'm surprised it took that long for someone to remember that the game is not in fact limited to rendering things in sharp polygonal models.
Ztones for extra decoration blocks
Archimedes Ships Plus for piloting your ships
Chisel for decoration (Not Chisel 2, I personally don't use it because muh toaster)
Better Chests, gold chests are pirate-y...I guess (I use Storage Drawers, though)
Stacks on Stacks lets you place ingots on the ground. Treasure room or something.
IIRC, grimoire of gaia adds a pirate mob. Again, I don't use it.
Oh....Bibliocraft has some decent textured furniture.
There's also MrCrayFish furniture mod
Minecraft Comes Alive has better villager models (The squidwards are objectively shit and fuck mojang)
that's off the top of my head.
Weird, I came here tonight to look for the answer to that same question, but without planning on actually asking it. It's a shame no one answered. To try to answer it myself, the only one that's been recommended to me is railcraft & and a small mod that makes railcraft compatible with TFC. Apparently railcraft is the mod that adds trains, so I'm looking into how that works now. I'll most likely add it to the /mcg/ TFC server to help players settle down far away in a wide variety of areas
Archimedes updated? That's wonderful news, though I recalled older versions had optional (a bit VERY glitchy) mobility on-vessel. Not sure if I'm refering to the same mod, but I think at one point it had functional redstone as well, which was a godsend for my tank models. I've not used Gaia in a couple versions but it's a breddy gud mod from what I've seen; adds some flavour to the game's overworld.
Way ahead of you. I perfer maids to the noodle-armed Steve model that Mojang decided to use.
dinnerbong and lex can't "sync with eachother" because both are inept dickweeds who want everything their way and their way only. lex doesn't want to work, period. dinnerbong's too busy trying to remove notch from minecraft to fix the messes he makes as he goes along. every time bugs actually get fixed, a heap of other bugs from something else he's doing wrong crop up.
as for notch... the internet backdraft drama bullshit that got him to detach himself from minecraft in the first place is the place to start putting blame. faggots like yogscast, etc, who started getting pissy when he didn't personally remember their birthdays or whatever and turned their 12yr old armies loose made a scenario that most anyone would want to get the fuck out of.
>What mods or non-mod admin intervention to make things more fun would it take for you to play on a TFC server?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7pV9OAJVdA&t=1m54s Because of the amount of fuel, iron, and steel needed to do anything in railcraft, I can't imagine people having enough resources to experience much of this mod.
>If you were interested in a TFC server, how would you feel about railcraft being added and mine carts & locomotives being given out for free, but players would have to make and place their own rails over thousands of blocks?
Strawpoll for the above question http://strawpoll.me/6426193
Good lord I loathe what the Minecraft community has become; it's what drove me out of this game in the first place where the elitists became insufferable pricks far worse than any 10-year old player who are only innocently dumb or petty griefer who at least no he's being a cock.
Though speaking of internet personas, anyone heard of The Shaft? They were my old pals back in the day and they did this podcast on Minecraft and TF2. Nice fellows last I saw them, but that was three years ago: I doubt they're still casting.
ExUtils. I never use the generators or transfer nodes. I think I only have it installed for ender quarries and ender lilies. I only just learned about the healing axe a couple days ago.
You know, even if Daifag was sort of annoying, at least his postings were keeping this thread alive. Welp.
I know there's more than one of you 2hu fags in this thread: post your Touhou-minecraft abominations: I know I made at least a couple.
I wish that seasons mod worked properly for me, I put way too much time just idleing and waiting for my wheat to grow to make the roof of this and the occasional snowfall would make this into maximum comfy
>As of this time we plan to have Infinity 1.8 be one of our first modpacks in 1.8.x, and we already have plans to expand on the hugely successful “Expert Mode” within a couple months of the initial public release of Infinity 1.8.
no there is a separate seasons mod that I used to use but its incompatible with some other mods I use and the modmaker seems to have gone full retard with how he releases the mods
its just something simple and pretty much only a cosmetic mod for the most part
Pic related, all the faggots are the one in the cage, i'm the cute grill.
No, I use a different one for that.
You know a mod is shit when you need to use additional java arguments to actually run it, because the mod author is a lazy fuck and doesn't want to move their shit to Java 8.
Botania and Thaumcraft, but those are already mentioned. I'd honestly say Buildcraft, merely only for the Pump and Oil/Refinery/Fuel for use in Compression Dynamos.
Do you compress cobblestone at all? Drums? Go to the Deep Deep Dark for quarrying? Speaking of quarrying, Ender Quarry and Ender-Thermic Pumps? And the Transfer Nodes can be used to make crazy fast Cobblestone Generators, of which can be used to compress for use with EE3 for maximum overpower.
the thing that happened with yogscast was notch's imagination, or someone lied to him. he later admitted that he was wrong about what happened. yogscast responded by never going to another minecon.
Made a fully automated factory that makes quantumsuit body armour from condensed bare resources processed through a series of machines and auto crafting benches.
Need to do this for the other 3 armour pieces now lmao.

You mean 10 iron 10 osmium and 1/8 of a diamond? Or did they change the recipe? Because that thing was seriously too cheap for what it did.
>new to modded minecraft
>install FTB infinity
>progress up the tech tree of a few mods and ignore everything else
>get end-game armor in less than a week
I should have listened. I am sorry. Infinity seemed to have little harmony between its mods. Next time I'll be looking for mods that are more rewarding, and ones that I'll actually use. /blog
But did you get the everlasting guilty pool?
>build a digital miner once
>works perfectly the first time I use it, swimming in ores
>next time I place it down it finds fucking nothing when it searches, even when placed twenty chunks away or in a different dimension
Vazkii did not have time to prepare the panel. However, the panel's slot successfully managed to make the BTM convention centre rely on Botania for a lot of the decoration, so we couldn't pull it out.
He's probably telling the truth, mojang's site is fucking terrible if you don't remember your password
>okay, give us some special info and we will send you an e-mail
>they never fucking send the e-mail even if you remember the answer to the 3 verification questions
Nothing at mojang works. Everything about the place takes all it's lessons from notch's vacationing ass.
But do those serbs exist?
I use StartingInventory. You just pack up your stuff, save everything in your inventory with the proper command, then start a new world and you should start up with the items.
It's basically normal minecraft, except you need to have like ten times the materials. It's not fun. Instead of spending 20 minutes mining, you just have to spend 3 hours. That's literally the only difference.
Except maybe the whole 'creative items can be made!' which can be done with minetweaker anyway.
If performance is your goal, yeah, every older version of mc runs better than any newer version, just about. It's more about quality/quantity of mods than performance for most people making the choice.
Christ how horrifying
yes its infinite mana but dear lord
how do you even fit that many item holders around an infusion alter.
Do Mystcraft worlds run like shit for anyone else. I have loaded up about 8 ages and my game lags the fuck out everytime I try to go into them. I thought it might have just been the chunks loading in the new age. But the lag doesn't go away until I restart minecraft.
Pic is my installed mods.
I might have counted wrong, but there's 38 items in that, so it'd likely be in 2 clusters of 19
The red is the center pedestal, all the black ones are item holding thingies. It's pretty manageable.
Someone smart would probably use a bunch of botania's shitty mushrooms/flowers to stabilize in the infusion. probably nicer/less laggy than having a bunch of heads around anyway.
What's in your ages? I know when I'd accidentally make an RFTools dim with something that doesn't play nice, like Fluid taint or Liquid Poison, everything goes to hell in a handbasket and I have to restart Infinity to try to get out.
All of them have been random so far. But 4 of them have been floating island worlds that gave potion debuffs [hunger/poison/slowness], 1 of them was a caveworld that had a perma storm up top, 1 was entirely sandstone with no debuffs. and the last 1 was normal world gen but with pink clouds and burning debuff. Every single time it was almost unplayable inside the age and merely very laggy in the overworld until I restarded minecraft.
I disabled the hunger/poison/slowness/burning/etc instability modifiers. Left on the storms, meteors, and stuff like that, because those are fun. Being unable to see because the world is wobbling too much is no fun at all.
I don't mind the effects terribly. But I still wonder if it is mystcraft causing the lag, or something interacting with it that's causing it. For now I think I will remove mystcraft. Super sad though since it's one of my favorite mods.
Man I remember when that place had actual factions fighting for control now you need to go out 5k to even find relative peace. It is pretty amazing . I still get on just to explore battle and grief sites
This is fucking great

>enough Ironwood in chests to craft a full set of Ironwood, plus tons of ore
>actually wearing the armor unironically
>actually satisfied with the ore generation now that my pickaxes aren't made of stone
That took a long while to pay off, but oh boy did it ever.
I guess that's the upshot of how difficult it is to make a decent mob grinder with infernal mobs.
>shitting on ironwood
I mean it's not exactly bound armor or anything but it's stronger than iron and gives free enchants, what's not to like?
>build a goddamn megabuster, complete with reskinned bow and arrows that look like my arm charging and shooting a (sadly small) buster pellet
>built this all ingame in like 30 minutes
Armourer's workshop is pretty fucking neat. I wonder what other shit I can do with this
>name tag says asie
>WAILA says asiekierka
>you can just straight up make fully customizable blocks with this mod
I built my own shitty aesthetic wand and it took like 10 minutes? The gem even glows in the dark
Yes. I'm trying to figure out why the TPS is so low.
OpenComputers seems to not scale for 110 players, as a fair warning. But most of the bugs are fixed on the latest devbuild, one left now...
This mod is capable of unleashing forbidden levels of autism.
I made the dildo by hand using armourer's workshop and the girl in the cage is a dryad from ars magica
>turn off random pools of water in terrain generation because they're pointless and an eye sore in the pretty RTG landscape
>turns out the same setting affected underground pools
>as well as lava pools
>don't realize this until I actually need lava
>can't even find a single fucking lava source block
>can't seem to find a cave that reaches lava level
>can't even get obsidian to make a portal to the nether for its seas of lava
What have I fucking done, fuck my entire life.
If anyone is interested, here's some of the autism you could potentially get yourself into if you try making things with that armourer's workshop mod
I wonder if mcg has the creativity to make anything worth using
That's what I'm doing right now. I'm going through my second inventory full of stone pickaxes, hope begins to wane.
At least I've found a bunch of ores to process when I eventually get my hands on the lava, I guess.
Oh, so the Nether Brick required to build it doesn't actually come from the nether, but from the nether reaches of your ass where I'm supposed to pull it from?
The least you can do is make sure your smartassery makes sense, cumguzzler.
Come on, anon, give me some credit. I'm not completely retarded, I used my head and checked NEI. If I had an easier way to get my hands on lava/netherrack/netherbrick I wouldn't have made the first post, or replied to the other post the way I did. I did think thought this through. The less convoluted ways of getting my hands on the stuff are digging in the same direction for ages in hope of a natural y=11 cave or collecting the handful of lava sources that generate in Twilight Forest Minotaur Labyrinths.
I mean, if more than two or three sources spawned in a single Labyrinth that would actually be a very neat way to gate progression, but even if the dead end with lava actually generates I'd need more than just one.
Sorry, but you can't expect me to believe that any random person actually checks anything before they start complaining.
I had to assume you didn't even really look for another way first.
When you're underground, keep checking JourneyMap for nearby lightsources, especially ravines. It's cheaty, but it's an option.
If you've already found a number of villages, you can find two lava blocks in a Blacksmith villager house.
Otherwise, digging at y=11 or just going caving until you get down to that level is your best option.
I got something to say. I saved the thread today.
My minimap doesn't include an underground option. The feature feels cheaty.
I've found three villages, none of them spawned a Blacksmith unfortunately.
I'm still digging. Maybe I'd be better off using those Thaumcraft desert plants to craft Blaze Powder, use those to craft Eyes of Ender, and then use those to find the stronghold. The portal room has a good number of lava sources, doesn't it?
Portal room has 9 lava sources in it
you will need at least 10 for a nether portal
since you have thaumcraft, you might have some of the addons. Do you have the option to make a liquification focus? it can turn stone into lava.
Thaumcraft and its addons are pretty much 90% of my pack, and that includes Thaumic Horizons, so yes, I do have that! I would've never remembered about this focus. Thanks anon, you're a life saver.
This has never been done before. And I've done it, through trial and error I figured the mechanics of filters. Took the whole day, but here it is. Fully automated, raw material processing into a full set of Quantum armour on Tekkit.
>haven't played MC in ages
>have no good servers I can go on
>remember playing on Faction Servers w/ mcmmo, mob arenas, etc., years ago
>only mods I used were Optifine
and a minimap mod
>all the servers I come across now are shit, and filled with idiots who can't do anything
>miss playing MC
I have hope again. Where do I start?
Realize we're dead too and the only thing keeping us alive is the Glorious Nippon.
You ever just find a mod you are endlessly impressed by? I know if I keep posting about this mod, I am gonna get called shill, but holy fuck
>you can basically do palletswapping if you paint the item right, so you don't even have to settle on a color from the start
Someone give me something to try to make in this. I'll provide model files if they turn out good.
Mod, mod, mod, mod!
Get a premade pack that introduces you to mods, usually they give you guidelines on what you should be focusing on using HQM, or try out mods a couple at a time to get the hang of them (don't get too overwhelmed).
When you've familiarized yourself with a few mods, gather your inner autist to make the best kind of modpack: a custom one tailored to your taste.
This is 4chan. if you publicly display liking something, you are obviously a shill. that's just how it works.
And just give it a go, my shit sucks, but it's fun to play around with, and it feels cool using a sword you built yourself.
If Lovecraft has taught me anything, it's that even dead threads can live on.
Got it. I'll search thru the OP links later in the day, delete all my current shit, and start over from a clean slate.
I'll have to look thru the server lists too, and hope I find the ones you guys use. I just want to have fun with other people on MC again, you know?
>tfw back when I used to be in a good faction on a faction server, I still used VoxelMap
>tfw kept finding passages and shit because I could see what distance and what depth the mobs were on the minimap
>tfw never get lost anywhere because
W A Y P O I N T S
>faction thinks I'm using X-Ray, kick me out for being too good
But you guys don't have any good faction servers, do you?
I'll check shit later. Thanks for letting me know of this at least. Bye.
this particular anon. seems like there isn't much to add to terrafirma that works with it that isn't rail/biblio. ah well will make do. equally possible i'm blind as a bat when searching
It's one of the oldest mods to still be updated and it kind of shows. It's not a bad mod by any means, but other mods do most of the things it does better, and most people have used it so much that they stopped using it out of boredom with it.
multimc is a cock about building a modpack from an archive.
however, magitech's download is packaged in a way that all you have to do is extract the archive directly into your instances folder and it'll work right out of the box.
Uh, hi. >>127233053 >>127232743 and >>127231793 here.
Just downloaded MultiMC for 1.7.10, and I have no idea how to use it.
Also downloaded forge-1.7.10-10.13.4.1614-1.7.10-installer, and got the client. Don't know how to use that either.
So what now? Looking through https://old.etherpad-mozilla.org/rj3xCSBmav at the moment.
gib logs pls. not having any issues loading magitech on a fresh copy
its easy. toolbar at the top has everything you need to make instances and shit.
when you select an instance you get a bunch of bullshit on the right; to actually install forge you Edit Instance -> Version -> Install Forge button.
adding mods is in the Loader Mods section.
'Settings' is where you set your memory allocations, make sure you actually set those if you use Java 7.
and make sure your permgen is at least 256mb
everything else is either somewhat intuitive or stuff you can figure out by tinkering.
And yeah, the TFC server now includes railcraft. I'm interested in seeing what players will do with it. Here's a link to the mod that makes TFC and railcraft compatible http://terrafirmacraft.com/f/topic/8288-tfc-07925-tfcrailcraft/ Linking it because of changes like
>- Wooden ties are made from sealing lumber in barrel
that players will need to know about if they intend to use railcraft on this server
>Just downloaded MultiMC for 1.7.10, and I have no idea how to use it.
>right click on blank space
>Vanilla Minecraft (select version)
>right click new instance
>choose latest recommended build (star icon)
That's the instance set up. Run it once, for good measure. You should see it boot up without issue, and it will display that 3 mods are loaded (Forge core shit, don't freak out that you didn't install anything yet). To get mods:
>go to http://modlist.mcf.li/version/1.7.10 and/or https://bot.notenoughmods.com/1.7.10.html
>scroll down and look for some mods that catch your interest (feel free to ask for guidance here too depending on what you want out of modded), then download the .jar files
>once you've downloaded all the mods you want, right click instance>Instance Folder>/minecraft>/mods
>drag and drop mods into /mods folder
Finally, report any errors or crashes you have here. Someone will probably help you out. Make sure you include crashlogs (/logs/fml-client-latest.log) too, upload them to pastebin or whatever
OK Thanks. So installing Forge installed it on the vanilla launcher, and not MultiMC. I just got it for MultiMC automatically thru MultiMC itself, then? Sweet.
Got myself Fastcraft and Rei's Minimap, as well as
Java Memory is now at
>min = 512 mb
>max = 1024 mb
>permgen = 256 mb
Hope that's not too bad.
I used to have an issue where as I kept playing MC, the game got more and more laggy, and I was forced to close the game and reopen it whenever it got to that point. I think it was Java or something taking a lot of data or some shit. Don't know the exact reason. I hope changing the permgen shit helps.
>min = 512 mb
>max = 1024 mb
Depends what kind of toaster you're running. 512mb is a good minimum, but your max should be roughly half of your total physical RAM. So, if you've only got 2gb in your machine, then that's fine, yeah. 4gb you'd be better off with 2048mb, etc.
>That's the instance set up. Run it once, for good measure. You should see it boot up without issue, and it will display that 3 mods are loaded (Forge core shit, don't freak out that you didn't install anything yet).
Go to Mods on the main menu, 5 mods.
>Minecraft Coder Pack 9.05
>Forge Mod Loader 184.108.40.206
>Minecraft Forge 10.13.4.1558
>Rei's Minimap 3.6
Looking through the log, I spotted
>[13:45:46] [main/WARN] [FML]: The coremod fastcraft.LoadingPlugin does not have a MCVersion annotation, it may cause issues with this version of Minecraft
Does this mean Fastcraft failed to work? Or not?
Because Rei's is working, and seeing as I have no crashes I think it means Fastcraft is also working.
Also, have the max at 2048 mb now. Since my laptop is 4.00 GB.
Looking good so far, though! Just need some more mods, then I'm ready to look for servers.
Nope, FastCraft is working just fine. The console spits out a lot of garbage while booting up, but you can safely ignore all of it unless you're getting severe lag or crashes.
>then I'm ready to look for servers.
I'm afraid that won't work out, unless you're planning to host one on your own. A client and server need to have (more or less) all the same mods in order for it to work right. A premade pack would probably be your best bet if your aim is multiplayer; /mcg/ has a few servers up that you can get to by downloading their pack. Generally, /mcg/'s custom packs are uploaded as MultiMC instances; you just extract the contents of the .zip into MMC's Instances folder and it should appear in your list.
I TOLD YOU MAN
JAPAN AND WEEBS ARE THE ONLY THING KEEPING US ALIVE
>progress in Thaumcraft, scanning everything and breaking down workbenches
>researches are all finally done
>realize both foci required to make the liquifaction foci require Nether Quartz
Back to mindless caving in a single direction then.
Bored? Come build something. Rapidly growing, 24/7 semi-survival server.
No rules. Mature friendly.
She ain't very impressive, but she serves her purpose just fine.
In the back is a Ladder Dispenser from Luupii's Ladders, so whenever I park the thing I can deploy ladders down for safe passage on and off without having to park on the ground.
Be careful with that when you get to it, apparently smelting any item with it breaks that item enough to make it stop stacking and not work in furnaces anymore. The only solution is restarting your server.
