This is what I've noticed for skell drops

Sidearms and spare weapons - Puges and Pugiliths. Level 55-59 at sylvalum's Cavernous Abyss. 60+ ?
Some Marnuk soldiers also tend to drop skell guns and there are level 61 ones at the entrance to beast's abyss

Shields - Lophids and Scintimures. Level 55-59 scints also at the cavernous abyss. A level 64 tyrant lophid is in cauldros but the drop rate is kinda crap. That said I got a really good healing shield off one.

Shield guns - Vigents can drop them. The level 70ish tyrant in the cave full of collectables in Noct is your best bet for high quality ones since his should all be top tier with XI-XIII lines. That said they aren't a common drop so maybe farming the couple of vigents in cauldros is better but they're all low leveled.

The medium basically an all having more defense then light skells and more fuel but at the cost if evasion
And the heavy has the most gas and defense but its a walking armor running turtle so basically slow ass hell little to no evasion

In this game most expensive frame is actually best since ranged attacks don't matter until ares/zenith cannon (postgame) and amdusias is proficient at melee and has thermal boost for phoenix. It handles like shit though but it's worth it

Working on augments for my Gravity Knight build. Should I stack all my Arts Gain TP augments on my ranged weapon even though Starlight Duster and Starlight Kick are Psycho Launcher attacks? Or should I split them among the weapons instead of making my saber this super beast of a weapon.

blade gear comes with lots of exp boosts, kind of pointless besides for fashion

light armor comes with more available upgrades (10) and gravity resistance compared to heavy, heavy provides more armor

however, armor only matters in high amounts, resistances are more important for damage reduction, which is why people usually grind for light armor

As much as you can get and still be ok on TP.

Both arms should have it and you can put 1-2 on your guns at least. Your sword should have either it or weapon attack boost. I don't think you can get both at once on a sword.

Potential for photon sabers is only going to boost your TP skills, and not by a whole hell of a lot compared to how blossom dance scales. It's still good to get though if you have spare augment slots on your armor to make them stronger. Or if you're running astrolibrium you could toss on more reflect augs and an extend aura aug and reflect a ton of shit.

The rest I'm not that sour on besides the shitty multiplayer. I like dodging highlevel enemies and have only been killed by maybe 2 outta nowhere in all of my 130 hours, load times are pretty great with data packs, I adore the class system and how you can mix and match when you max multiple of them (great for experimentation), and besides the really bad "collect rare item" the gathering quests never bothered me.

To be honest, I hated all the vocals, they made the battles and cut scenes unnecessarily cluttered especially when singing overlaps characters talking.

Music is supposed to be an enhancer and not its own entity.

Like the Ganglion theme, considering how underwhelming the normal battle theme was, listening to this percussion and hard brass piece made the battles fun to the point I went out of my way to pick battles with the Ganglion to listen to it.

I sometimes like dodging high level enemies, but sometimes it's a pain in the ass. I had fun sneaking my way into Sylvalum. Not so fun when i just want to explore or do a quest and have to wade through level 40 aggressive indickgens. The worst was when I was doing Chapter 5 and FUCK YOU the Despot, some gigantic wolf golem thing at level 60 something went out of its way to wreck my day repeatedly.

I like and hate the class system. I just feel like it makes the other characters feel a lot more generic. It's fun for the player character to some extent, but the party members don't feel like they have the same amount of originality as the party members in xenoblade.

Question about the class system though: Can you remove points from skills or arts you leveled up and reinvest them into something else? Because that would be neat.

Research probes just boost the revenue from certain probes. Each site already has a rating (F-A) that determines how much it's getting of each thing. If a site's got F for revenue, it's not raking in much dosh. You can try propping up a dead horse by using whatever probe boosts the most without losing the other (it's usually a balance act between mining and money), but since you probably don't have a lot of research probes, just leave most of them as basic, because mining probes will drag your revenue down and you probably don't have a high storage limit right now.

Probes rake in cash automatically. Just go do other shit and after a while it'll cycle through it. If you've set ANY probes, they're raking in the loot. You can change your map view mode to see how much you're getting. It'll say revenue and mining totals and that's how much you're getting each cycle.
