Old thread: >>126467243
>looks really young
She's the weathergirl for a major channel. Where do you get 14-year old weathergirls?
Apparently, she's studying meteorology on some school alongside her job as an idol/weathergirl, so what are you on about?
Both Iris and Kamil have very flat characters (in my opinion..). It's not as if there's a dearth of things to give them character, either, there's just nothing there. Kamil is especially egregious because he was already in a game before, but he retains barely any of that personality other than his florist shtick. Agate at least is charismatic and has likable qualities
She's the spaghetti queen.
I should assert that there's no loli-bait in SoS. Only shota-bait, and that's Mistel.
Lillie's pretty stacked. At least behind Licorice and ahead of Angela and Agate in the rankings.
I wasn't saying she was 14, I was saying she LOOKS 14. That's a turn-off for me, so I'd rank her as the worst wiafu, because I'd feel weird about her appearance if I pursued her. Obviously, >>127058265 the guy in this pic is stupid as fuck, because that's obviously a grown woman, not a loli.
I didn't mean to trigger so many autists, so I'll stop posting about this now so the thread doesn't get derailed.
>posting about HM is derailing
Nah dude, keep it up. Controversy leads to discussion
or being made fun ofand that leads to the thread being alive. Waifuposting is always going to lead to this kind of stuff.
Also, Angela is worst waifu by far. Not just because of her glasses either, but she's also boring. Being coyly lewd isn't enough to save her from being bottom-of-the-barrel.
ay, u that bloke whos talkin shit about my waifu the afore thread?
ya gunna say dat tu my face bruh. gonna bash ur fookin head in m8. hook u in da gabber i will, sware on me mum
I trust Iris the least of all the villagers. Her and her brother are both snakes, I place trash in front of the Antique Shop whenever I'm in town and they can't do shit about it because the game doesn't count it as littering
The guy in the post in that pic is also full of shit because he thinks sexy = objectification. I think xseeddude once made a post explaining why sexualization isn't always sexist.
ANYWAY, best SoS waifu is either Elise or Iris
I'd prefer a slow thread full of good discussion/content as opposed to a fast thread full of shitposting.
To spark some discussion/wiafufagging, who's your all time favorite wiafu/husbando from any bokumo game? For me, it's pic related. I found her optimism really endearing. It's the simplest wiafus that have the most charm.
What did he mean by this?
>Not just because of her glasses either
Are you trying to say that the glasses make her look worse?
>I wasn't saying she was 14, I was saying she LOOKS 14. That's a turn-off for me, so I'd rank her as the worst wiafu
I understand and respect that(hell i feel the same way about amber in rf4), but I don't get singling out Lillie for it.
Yeah, there's a lot of truth to that. A character can be a sexual woman without it being a sexist portrayal. It's all in the execution of it. I think a lot of 'feminists' just think sex is bad for whatever personal reason, and just leap on anything with sexual themes and brand it 'problematic'.
I dunno, maybe I'm just weird, but she looks very young to me. I feel the same way about Mistel and Lumina from AWL:SE. There's probably other instances of this in HM, but that's all I've played recently so that's all that comes to mind.
SJWs and the like are just like Puritans -- sexy is bad to them, but for different reasons. To Puritans, it's because lust is a sin. To SJWs and the like, it's because lust is "problematic."
>Are you trying to say that the glasses make her look worse?
Absolutely. Glasses are garbage-tier, almost as bad as "beauty" marks.
Unfortunately best girl is can't have, as usual.
This looks like that anime picture where the girls mouth is level with her eyes Jesus God
Changing where the gate is. That's the only way as far as I know. Then they'll just walk into the fence for an hour.
I never really had a problem with the animals getting out though. It really doesn't do them much good anyway, and until you get a dog to train its a pain as well
Laney from ToTT. No one ever mentions her, everyone likes Licorice or that hippy chink. :^(
Alright will probably do this when I renovate the farm.
>walk outside from my sewing building
>Fritz is just standing in the open gate staring off into nothing like the retard he is
Fuck Fritz. He's worse than Doug.
It's probably that I'm in a later year, then... I have terrible luck and have passed out on both year 1 and 2 cooking festivals (this was before I learned my lesson of saving every day)
Theme is important if you're going the full course route. Western theme gets the least bonus while exotic the greatest.
You have greater chances in the single dish contest, but you increase a rank on 6 dish types in full course.
I am going to marry Elise and become a power couple that will eventually own all of Oak Tree.
>move into this new town
>all these fuckers say the exact same thing anytime I talk to them
>think they're mocking me
>stupid japanese cultural isolationism
>"HEY WE HAVEN'T TALKED IN A WHILE"
I literally only talked to Elise (waifu), Dessie (to give offerings to get shit), and whomever I needed to conduct business with on that day by the end of the game.
Didn't see much point to befriending the others.
You naturally befriend them when you attend festivals. Even bachelorettes increase their flower levels even though you give them gifts rarely, as long as you're never absent in a festival (Elise is at red flower, only gave her gifts once a year).
The real bitch to befriend are the Harvest Sprites. Dessie and Witche are ok, but these fuckers are hard to see in an area, and don't appear on the map. I only manage to talk to Torque and that fat one since they're on the way when I make my rounds, but that hick girl, the hot blodded one and the red one are hard to pinpoint.
There's usually a small prize for befriending certain villagers, such as patterns, recipes, events, etc.
All of your farming rivals have events, plus a few random villagers do. You always get slightly better dialogue too, which doesn't mean much but whatever.
I think that Kotaku guy is projecting -- he says that the character is designed to appeal to lolicon and draw focus on the boobs to the point where her character doesn't matter. and that jiggle physics "demeaning and embarrassing." I think that's just how he sees her. Which means he could be pretty messed up in the head and thinks sexuality is shameful.
So you're saying they say the same crap over and over, and if you don't talk to them, it's "hey we haven't talked in awhile?"
I followed them all around to see what they do, they will all stand near Witchie's house in the morning and late afternoon (6pm~), they disappear at night. If you want to catch them, run out and talk to them as soon as you wake up.
The red one will wander back and forth between Witchie's house and Piedmont if he's not by her house.
Three of them will stand in the three fields connected to Witchie's house besides Riverside Pasture.
The hot-blooded one usually stands near the river in Riverside pasture or wanders between the two fields there.
Don't even bother talking to them. It's literally useless. Dessie and Witchie give you things for raising their FP (and Dessie gives you stuff for giving her offerings as well) but the harvest sprites don't even have special lines for when you give them their favorite item on their birthday (unlike everyone else) so it does seem like there's no point to befriending them
Maybe I am making excuses for my nonexistent social life but Christmas/New Years just feels like another day and I would much rather be playing video games or watching movies.
>he does't believe he has hoards of fangirls that want exactly this
Butterfly is too young for me, Shoe is shoe, Forte is weird and Clorica is narcoleptic. Margaret is close to Dolce but she has weird clothes, so that's a no, too. Thus Dolce gets a unanimous victory.
Because Dragon can't be married
I knew that I'd love her as soon as I saw her.
Fritz? Fritz what are- Fritz stop inspecting the gate. Please stop inspecting the gate for 30 minutes every night, I can do that myself. Was going to wait for the "farm expansion" to redo everything but I think I'll remove the gate now.
>really really want wedding anniversary to be on Spring 1
>make everyone in the village get up to go to the wedding even though they're all probably exhausted from staying up late on New Year's Eve
Eat shit everyone
I don't know, but I do know she became a contender after her second event.
Now Elise has to fight four girls for MC.
Even though I don't like her design much, she doesn't feel as one-dimensional as the other characters, and Pico is perfect. Margaret is the only other one that comes close to having a personality instead of a single trait, but fuck elves.
Seedmaker is top priority, if you haven't gotten that already.
If you need more money, just savescum when diving in the river near Eda's farm. Only save when you get a gem, a pearl, or a fish fossil. That makes for a big chunk of change, you've got got to invest some irl time in reloading over and over.
Tea Party is 1,000/all once per year
Quests are 7 per quest, unlimited
Buying/selling gives a fixed 20 points per merchant once a day
You're honestly better off just sleeping through a few years if you're trying to unlock something at the 5k+ level
You'll lose town friendship points but those don't matter once you unlock the handful of items dependent on them
>I wasn't saying she was 14, I was saying she LOOKS 14.
Did you ever play Sunshine Islands? It was impossible to actually like any of the waifu/husbando choices because they all looked 8 years old.
I have started the Rune Factory Series just recently with RF4 and I have some questions:
1. How does fertilizer work? Do you just keep feeding it grass and weed
(lol 420)and it'll increase your soil quality? Or do I have to actually get fertilizer from it and apply it to the fields? And does a fertilizer bin work for only one field or for multiple fields (like the one near your home and the others outside of town.)
2. How much square tiles do trees need to grow?
3. Does giving gifts to one person multiple times in one day decrease in effectiveness at that same day? Does giving the same gift overtime lose effectiveness gradually?
Increases star rank of crops. You buy fertilizer or make your own. You can use it on many fields as you like, though I would recommend against it since materials for it are scarce, and Otmar sells between 1-20 per day (in Original mode).
1 plot per tree.
You can only give gifts once a day. And no.
In AWL and AnWL you can pimp slap your kid for talking back to your spouse, but that's about it for corporeal punishment in the series. Honestly though, hitting your kids is pretty ghetto, I don't know why you'd want that in your comfy farming simulator.
I'd recommend playing AWL/AnWL if you haven't, though, It's easily the most fleshed out child rearing system we've ever gotten in a Harvest Moon game.
Idk. It doesn't raise the soil level but i think it slows its decay, meaning you can grow crops consecutively without the crops taking longer to grow. But I'm probably wrong on this front. It is an automatic process however.
Trees take up one space
Once a day
It would be nice if we got some Harvest Moon H action, but it's marketed as a kid's game, so I doubt we'll ever see it happen. It's a shame, because decent nsfw fanart for Harvest Moon is hard to come by.
Pixiv has lots of those, though majority of them are fujobait and femMC x bachelor of the day.
Where the hell is the panda in SOS? I swear that silk country gave it to me already unless I forgot to build a structure for it or something? I read that it was in Witchie's house area after 13:00 but it's never there. And I'm in year 3 so if I haven't gotten it I should have by now...
>improve garbage gear drops with food drops or regrowing crops (strawberry works good at first, then pink melons)
>sell them at your shop
>improve your trade levels
>get mad dosh
>selling the chirpy sandals for $5560.83 USD
Another way is to buy all the ingredients you can afford for Gold Juice, make them all into Gold Juice, sell them, and repeat the cycle as needed. Giant Pink Melons and Giant Strawberries do well as well.
A Wonderful Life Special Edition. Lumina is canonically 14 years old.
>go to redecorate my farm in sos
>can't move the house
>can't connect the premade road to any road I make or make a road lead to my house
>the roads I do make don't connect properly despite essentially being fucking lego pieces, it always looks layered for some reason
>roads don't get close at all to the craft buildings
>have to make a second building to move animals to the other side of the farm
>roads require a fuck ton of soil and i was too stupid to buy a ton in advance
What is this shit, i just wanted a nice little line of "shops" next to my house
How do I make stupid amounts of money in SoS with minimal effort? I think I'd rather be a manager making passive income than watering these damn crops every day. Mining seems more lucrative nearly 1 year in anyway.
I'm looking for a good, comfy game to chill with, is SoS good for it? My only run in with Harvest Moon in the past is the gamecube game. Do I get to choose a waifu still and raise a kid as well as my comfy farm?
That and the pointless things that are added to artificially lengthen the game or stop you from progressing too quickly. Some games have a gimmick that really outstays its welcome.
SoS: Grinding and RNG
Frontier: Runey system
Things like that are what I'm talking about.
The only major change was taking out the Variety Channel, which is totally optional and I'd bet a lot of players never even notice, but it's pretty fun - oh, and probably a quarter of the writing in the game. Understandable exclusion, since that would save a lot of translating time, but still is a huge potential blow.
>do you like me?
what the fuck
I want a game where you can open a store and sell various stuff you've crafted to adventurers. Once they become stronger, they can venture into more dangerous dungeons and bring back better items to you. Something like that, anyway.
Selling stuff to military seems too large-scale, unless you can purchase land and hire and assign farmers to them. I'd totally be into it if you could make your own business empire
So does it just take years to get 5 star crops or is there a faster way than plant -> fert -> seed maker? Tedious as shit when my best crop is 2 stars and I'm already drowning in 4.5 star milk.
Don't know about SoS, but in ToTT, you can stack the fertilizers.
That's something I wouldn't recommend IRL because you're flooding the soil with nutriments that will fuck up the local ecosystem, but Harvest Moon is everything but logical, so...
Yeah, that's bugging the hell out of me currently too.. For something that has a pretty big focus on decorating, I wish they had made it a little more intuitive, every time I go to change stuff on my farm it triggers the shit out of my autism because you can never get the pieces where you want.
I visited someones farm the other day who used roads for large paths, then paving stones for paths to buildings since they're a little more flexible
Its just various songs from older games, for instance I heard the HMDS theme one year. SOS seems very inclined towards using IOH/SH songs so I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch were from those
So Story of Season finally came out in yurop a couple of days ago and now I'm confronted with the hardest question of the game... which bachelorette will I pursue to make my waifu?
currently favoring Lillie but the onee-san type Iris is warming up to me aswell... but Lillie comes with a cute in-law.. FUCK the choice is too hard, I let you decide for me
It's near nonexistent, but there is some porn of Harvest Moon.
Well, it's not really porn, and it's Rune Factory, but shut the fuck up I'm right.
There are two others pictures, but frankly I don't know the girls. I barely even know how Rune Factory is different from Harvest Moon. One of them is a girl with blue drills and the other is a maid.
The only one I know is melody, and I know she owns a bath brothel or something like that and is probably a bitch.
That sounds awesome on paper. How does that work in the game?
Oh, and also that one. It's the same guy, so it's probably the same game.
Be happy. That's all you'll ever get for the entire franchise. This is all I could find that was safe enough to be posted here and was about my fetish.
A real damn shame the original games don't have spanking. Even normal sex woulda been nice. The usual H games are all about "Hello-how-are-you-bam-bam-goodbye-ma'am". I want a game where I really seduce the girl and live with her even after.
3 and 4 are excellent
4's farming is just as good as SoS or better, but it's less grindy and the RPG parts add a lot of enjoyable completionism/story
Don't know about the Wii ones
1 and 2 are pretty clunky and shallow but no more so than most HM games are
HM:DS Cute had a small selection of bisexual women that the female MC could woo, marry, and adopt a child with in the Japanese release of the game, instead of choosing a husband. Unfortunately, Nastume decided their American audiences would be alienated by the feature, and removed it from their translations of the game. So, it's possible that we'll get gay farmers in future games, because it's happened before. Translators working at Xseed have made promising statements that they won't censor gay relationships in future games, but I'm not digging up the link right now.
We do have some options for yuri Harvest Moon, though.
Like the other anon mentioned, in Story of Seasons and A New Beginning, there's absolutely nothing stopping you from choosing the male character and dressing yourself in long hair and dresses, once you unlock clothes customization. I can't speak for ANB as I haven't played it yet, but in SoS, the characters rarely refer to the player character in gendered terms, so it's just like you're playing as a female. But note that in Story of Seasons, it takes a while before you unlock clothing opinions other than the default. I'm in early Summer right now, and about a week away from unlocking the building you use to make clothes.
There's also a modded version of FoMT that changes the male sprite to the female sprite, and changes all dialogue references to the player character to female.
Make a greenhouse:
Since you only have 30 days to fertilize a normal seasonal crop, the best you can do in a year is 3 stars. But if you can do a greenhouse, you can fertilize every day, and be done in 64 (that last 29 of the 93 days your crop is 5-star, which is all the game cares about, but you can still fertilize for whatever reason). You can go on multiplayer and hope people wand your crops. Also, you can get the mystery seeds and pray to RNGesus to give you fireflowers, which give 30 star points, or one half-star rank, to everything on your field.
If your crops are all the same star rank, but different star points, when you have them in your inventory all at once the star points will average out, meaning you lose. Make sure to harvest the crops you've been fertilizing separately and make the seeds you want before combining everything in your inventory or storage.
Ghost girl from Rune Factory 4. I'm sure she'd rather recieve it from Dolce though.
Here you go.
Dolce? The tall girl with her?
What is the best Harvest Moon besides Friends of Mineral Town?
I tried Story of Seasons but it's just too limiting for me in that your stamina sucks, shipping is fucked, and the grind is ridiculous to unlock some things. There are other things I don't like but I don't want to make a huge list about it.
I already know of RF4. It's very good but I want a Harvest Moon right now.
I'm between BtN, Magical Melody, and Animal Parade.
You underestime my horniness. If there's a girl, she'll get spanked.
BTN is real similar to FoMT.
Haven't played MM
Animal Parade has bad loading and FPS issues.
SoS honestly gets better when you put some time into it. Stamina becomes irrelevant later on, even more so if you play seedling. You won't have to worry about shipping days either.
My problem with FoMT isn't with the gameplay. I just prefer more modern graphics. Console games/ports on GBA and GB were just way too shit looking back then.
Are there any other complaints about AP? Most of those get eliminated or reduced in emulation.
I salute you. Good luck in your spanking endeavour.
Yea I keep hearing that but I'm in fall of the first year and it's killing me how slow everything is.
I just can't take it. Your farm is small as fuck and has to be populated by buildings reducing your ability to farm. Farming ares are separated into a billion tiny areas that aren't super far but neither are they super close making it a pain.
There's only a single fishing hatchery in the whole fucking river.
Getting to town is a long fucking trip unless you have a fuck ton of carrots on you and you have to make the trip frequently.
Shipping prices drop dramatically after your first big shipment and you can't even ship unless a vendor happens to be in town and then you have to decide whether to hold on to all your shit to get some CP with the right vendor complicating the most basic part of the game without really enhancing it.
There's no mountain area to fuck around in so once you're done with the stuff, the day is over.
The town/overall area is too small.
I have to compete with townsfolk for farming areas after they fuck my farm area and you really can't beat them until a few months in and you have to cheese it.
I could go on and on but I really dislike the game so far.
Your farm area gets bigger later on. And it's not really that necessary to get all of the public fields, since your farm area is artificially expanded with the use of greenhouses (2x2 plot in your field for 15 plots inside). You only need to choose what's important, like the bee and mushroom field and the paddies.
Carrots are cheap. I have a stack of those 0.5 carrots from Otmar handy all the time.
About dropping ship prices, it's the supply/demand feature that's only unique on this game. It's emulating, poorly as it can be, how real world markets work. It's a welcoming change, and I expect it would be implemented in future iterations.
It sucks about the mountain area, though.
Overall area looks small, I agree, but your character runs faster than the previous game, so that might be the cause why it looks small.
I came from FoMT/BtN, and bought the game for an HM fix. I guess it's a matter of preference. I'm liking the game very much.
Just downloaded and finished the tutorial week in SoS (EU so finally could get it now), any big tips or tricks I need to know?
Also how did we get shafted this time? (referring to the OP)
Thanks, and sucks we got shafted a bit (I don't know shit about the channels so it doesn't hurt me too much)
I'm guessing it's to cut off some time from the translation process like some other anons suggested. The teams for the translation stuff are probably pretty small, saw the amount of work for the channel, and said fuck it nobody will notice if it's gone.
Oh well at least I got Monster Hunter today as well since it was 50% off on the eshop.
Pic related: another HM/RF setting that may never be.
>always summer and no day or night ever
>mfw I completely gave up on MH after a hunt went spectacularily wrong and I had to cancel it midgame because real-life obligations happened
I'm still afraid of the phone ringing each time I start playing it. That's a fucking trauma.
Was already planning on buying SoS, went into the eshop, saw that HM4U was on sale (a game I've been wanting as well) and got it too.
I already realized the mistake I made since I'm currently trying to decide what to play right now that I've finished the tutorial parts in both games.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't there no heroines older than you, or at least not obviously older than you, in any of the Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/SoS games?
There are some in RF games, but they're more like big sister characters. Latest HM game has Iris who is noticeably older and was once married.
Not really. Only if you can get it for cheap.
Any tips for my start at story of seasons? im still in spring but its nearly the next season, any thing i should be doing any good ways to get money, any things i should work towards like buildings and what materials needed for them?
No need to go outside, just pick it up at your front door in a few days. You pay the same amount, sometimes even less, and you get a collectible case to put on your shelf to boot!
Remember to use capitals letters to make it easier for others to read your posts. Also, the game has a fairly decent tutorial that will explain things better than me, so either you try the tutorial or you wait for another Anon to explain your better.
Save 5 turnip seeds for the seedmaker. It's essential. Once Spring ends you wont be able to buy them.
Flax is the miracle money crop. Turn your flax into golden thread and then into golden cloth to make mad dosh. You unlock the seeds pretty easily if I remember right.
Swim in rivers, go across every square inch, dive down when an exclamation pops up. This shit gets you way more money than anything you can grow early game. Save 5 turnip seeds so you can make the seed building when you can afford it, although it may be more worth while to make the sewing studio for your up and coming flax based empire first. Shit is fucking cash and is probably the best thing you can grow.
Kind of. Iron and bricks you can get from the river, but to get wool you have to shear sheep which you'll be able to buy next month. For the wood just axe the twigs and branches you find on the road.
>Swim in rivers, go across every square inch, dive down when an exclamation pops up.
You don't need to cover space, you just need time/distance (3-10 strokes, I've found). There are three items per day per section, and each swimming place has two sections (even in the safari, I think), roughly even halves of the place. In the river with the fish hatchery spot, it's easy, since the bridge divides the two sections. In the place by Eda's farm, there's the part of the river that goes left, and the part that goes down. The part by the grain fields is basically the part near the bottom dock, and the part near the dock on the other side (and don't forget to check over there for junk).
Save scum at the river near Eda's farm for gems and fossils to sell. The game locks all the the decent moneymakers behind days passed requirements, so that's really all you can do. Also save scum in the river near Elise's fields for bricks and iron. You'll be needing lots of those. The last river has nothing worth save scumming for in it.
Unlike most Harvest Moon games, you don't need an upgraded tool to start chopping down trees and smashing the big rocks on your farm, it'll just take several days for it to break. The rocks and lumber you'll get for that are very useful in building new buildings and upgrading tools.
Prioritize getting your Seedmaker, and once you have that convert all your weeds(not twigs, the small lumber is more useful) into fertilizer, and fertilize certain plots of each type of crop everyday. I'd recommend using the plots on Eda's farm as your star-leveling space, as it keeps you from forgetting which plots need fertilizing.
After you've got your Seedmaker, save up for a sheep when Cabin Country comes Summer 2nd. You need the sheep's wool to build the Sewing Studio, which is your next goal. Plant a bunch of flax in the meantime, but don't sell it until you get your Sewing Studio so you can process it into Golden Cloth. Once you've got that set up, you should be pulling in a decent income.
Save up all fertilizer.
Dive in the rivers for gems.
You get Flax from Wheat Country. Flax and Cotton are your money makers.
Save at least 5 milk for the horse. You will get an event regarding that.
Save 5 Turnip seeds for the Seed Maker.
The buildings that are top priority are the Seed Maker and the Sewing Studio. Get them ASAP.
Get a pitchfork for cleaning shit in the barn.
O thanks, i guess ill have to wait or buy some stuff although buying seems to be a waste.
By save up fertilizer you mean the weeds to make fertilizer? also how much will the sheep be and are they only bought from the vendors.and by flax you mean flax seeds right.
Yes. One swipe gives you nine. You actually have to pick it up though and put it into storage.
They're very useful, and they're better than all the vehicles you can make later. You only need the one free one, though. When you've got all the fields, and need to go back and forth between town, you're sure going to want that sanic speed.
Being a spankfag, that idea arouses me.
>One swipe gives you nine. You actually have to pick it up though and put it into storage.
That sounds way more interesting than ToTT's bullshit of going to the other town to buy food.
>swimsuit day every day forever
But I like his personality... except the one he showed in the marriage even which was shit and didn't feel like him at all (not because it was sappy but because I can't imagine him being sad about a promise he made when he was like 10)
What happens in Story of Seasons if, when a lease on a field expires, you don't jump in on the conquest? I want to let Eda have her spice field
while she's still with us
I'm trying to reload until the challenge for the field is just between myself and Eda, so I can deliberately throw the conquest and the field will go to her, but Elise and Giorgio are a pair of aggressive bastards, and I'm wondering if I just do nothing if she'll renew her lease and that will be the end of that.
Try negotiating the lease with her. She's willing to hand over the lease to you to use.
AFAIK she's not that aggressive in conquests. I only got her to join twice, and she's always the secondary challenger. But then again, I only pick battles that I would win.
I don't even understand why it is. Don't get me wrong, I first played it when I could barely English but that also came with the side effect of me barely understanding anything, and overall the whole game (FoMT) was too complex for me to understand without the constant use of a guide.
Hell even now I still use guides.
Sure kids can enjoy it, but I felt like I didn't even get the full enjoyment out of the game until I was in my teens.
the thing is it gets so complicated i dont even know how kids could play it, even i get overwhelmed just from the thought and have to worm my mind into the idea of going slow to even start.
Not that anon, but I"m all for cute girls but now that I"m 22 I can't help but feel like marrying someone who looks 12 is a little awkward.
I'm a girl so at least people don't find it as weird for me though, and now that most game have bachelors as well I can't help but feel displeased when I see characters like Mistel. He's a nice character but especially since puberty hits guys later, he looks awfully young and that makes me want to stay as far away from him as I can.
Just means that Mistel isn't aimed at you, I'm pretty sure that some people find him desirable. There are characters who appear older (adult) though.
I'm more surprised there are people complaining about characters being too young. I don't visit /vg/ too often though.
How'd you guys like Sunshine Islands and A New Beginning? I'm thinking about getting one of them after playing FoMT and DS to death.
Basically, I like the simplicity of those two, but wouldn't mind some more plot/not-farm-related tasks (like Two Town's bulletin board). Sunshine Islands's sun-water system seems like ass, and New Beginning seems too heavy on unlocking shit (why befriend an NPC instead of just paying for my tool upgrade?).
So, sell me on 'em. Honest pros/cons. And thanks.
Haven't played Sunshine Islands, but I have played ANB.
ANB is a real flawed game. It's real slow to start and is tedious with its item hoarding. I enjoyed it after I put some good hours in, but it's up too you if you want to wait X number of hours until it gets good.
A decent, but flawed game.
ANB is the nearest thing you can get to a town building sim. But there are a lot of flaws such as the need to hoard, the month-long tutorial and the horrid framerate. It's still a good game, but SoS fixed most of the flaws.
I don't have a favorable opinion about SI/IoH. It's too reliant on the touchscreen to play properly. I've heard it's a good game though.
Haven't played the series in a while, quick question...
Which Harvest Moons don't expect you to talk to everybody in town every single day? I mean, I don't hate the idea of it, I just can't stand it when the game makes each day last 15 minutes.
Story of Seasons. That game has some other problems, but you can ignore people for the most part.
There are some people in that game that you'll want to make friends with though.
I can confirm this, I just talk to the girl i decided to advance the relationship with and thats it although i know at some point i need to level up friendship with some other characters for her flower events.
>ordered SoS 2 days ago
>tells me it'll I'll be receiving it on 3rd
>now it's night of 2nd, no shipping confirmation, no tracking #
>still tells me arriving on 3rd and "on time"
I'm not going to get to farm tomorrow am I? I'm too hyped for this shit.
You can unlock an order to prevent typhoons. It costs 1000 PP though, so do as many requests a day at least. Also, some kind of substance bought at the flower shop can protect stuff if the defense of a patch is maxed out (check with magnifying glass). I think max defense is either 64 or 256.
I don't think I ever saw this one before today
and in a lol thread of all places.
Nope. Typhoons can happen any day, or in winter, blizzards that do the same thing. Can't savescum out of them either (except to go back to the previous day and use the order which is unlocked by winning the 2nd arc I think). Orders or plant defense are the only options.
In RFF, there's a way out though. If you know there's a typhoon day the next day, get yourself KO'd the day before and you'll wake up in the clinic. It may be 10AM and Lara may be mad at you, but you don't lose the entire day.
>[something about Australia's internet connection here]
Now waiting so long to release it in Australia doesn't really make sense. Why not just release the American version under the Australia region?
Gotta go through it with a fine-toothed comb to make sure there's no lolicon stuff, where lolicon means anything less than C-cup. Also need to determine the mathematically precise price markup to give, since turning games upside-down is of course an arduous task.
That general makes me crave for some spanking.
