Any tips for warfare if my faction is getting wiped out? I'm playing as freedom and mercs/monolith are flooding the military warehouses en masse. Freedom basically has no squads anymore and I'm not sure what to do with this playthrough anymore.

I played through Valley of Whispers + Shoker a a year or two ago, and thought it was good. It has its own storyline and takes place on one large, entirely custom map. It's where that weird new mutant in some mods that looks like the thing from Neverending Story came from. Some people here have had trouble getting it to work for some reason, though I don't know the reason why.

Been playing AMK and having a blast, but there's some kind of ear shattering high frequency noise when around controllers. Is there any to remove that sound? I have to mute the game its so ridiculous. I've been looking through the files but no luck so far.
Didn't have a chance to get psi damage on Cordon, but all other status icons show up fine.
If you didn't find it in gamedata folder, look inside .db* archives, one will have sounds.
The procedure goes like this:
1. Find the ogg file that's getting on your nerves (in my case it was OGSE main menu moon sonata)
2. Get the blank 3.4kb $no_sound.ogg file from "sounds" root directory (regular blank file would crash the game)
3. Put it in place of original sound file in gamedata folder

Is there a mod for SoC that balances vanilla weapons (ex makes pistols more powerful) and that's it? Got a friend into the game and he's not liking how weak the weapons are.

Look through the scripts/ folder to see how the home icon is handled in 0693. You may need to move one of the statics defined in custom_ui_msgs offscreen at a guess, just like you did for the clock.
So I started CS with OGSE mod and I notice it just doesn't run as good as SoC with Autumh Aurora 2.1 with ENB. Not as smooth, I didn't play much because I'm still finishing SoC but I think it's the frame rate.

What is the best entry-level Blow Out reintroduction method? I am assuming just installing AMK is the answer, but I am looking for a vanilla SoC playthrough, just with Blow Outs.
I haven't tried OGSM yet, but the CS engine is the least optimized of the three. It's a much smoother experience in DX9 and you don't give up much graphically. Definitely don't use DX11.

It's been a year or so since I last played Autumn Aurora, and I can't at all remember how to remove the color dulling/gray colors effect when low on stamina/out of breath. Googling only brings me to posts about gasmak overlays and head bobbing.
Not a big deal midgame with stamina artifacts, but early on it makes running such a pain in the ass unless you want to stare at a black and white world.
Find the lines in gamedata\scripts\bind_stalker.script that look like so and comment out the ones you don't want by putting in a leading "--" on those lines:

To be clear, I find it useful as an indicator that I'm about to come to a full stop - better than scanning the meter. Likewise with the bloody screen effect. But whatever floats your boat.

While I prefer AMK ballistics, I wouldn't use them on a starter pack intended for new players, an optional folder is a good idea.
I just want decent textures because I can't stand playing SoC with the world looking really nice with Absolute textures and SWO while holding a weapon that looks like ass.

The ENB included in AMK Autumn looks pretty. I'm getting good performance with it as well.

Is warfare 4.1 fucked up? Enemy squads just spawn in my faction's base out of nowhere and kill everything.
I started as duty, and once i reached the road to army warehouses, the southern entrance was attacked. I went there, removed the degenerates, and the western post was all wiped. Then the duty base was attacked, went there, and freedom squads spawned right behind me in the middle of a road. All in like the first 10 minutes of the game.

7 or 8 bandits. I took them all out with 12 gauge slugs. They didn't stand a chance. I'm playing AMK 1.4 Autumn edition. I don't think the spawns are any different from normal AMK.

You can download a .db file unpacker from the repo to get the actor.ltx and whatnot, then place the file in the right spot in the gamedata folder. I don't know what you would need to edit, though.
Well there's original actor.ltx and alternative actor.ltx on another folder, I know what to edit, what I don't know is what's using ZRP by default if there's no actor.ltx file on /config/creatures.

First, this is for the longer barreled TOZ34, which iirc isn't even in the vanilla game
Secondly, it cant be equipped to the first slot because you need to decrease the inv_width size to a max of 3 x 50 tiles. Aka, the value "3" is max for the first slot, where as the value "6" is max width for the secondary slot.

After 15 minutes of procrastination, I put on some Amon Amarth at full blast and sprinted at the bloodsucker area, killed him and all of the military assholes too. How many more pants shitting moments am I in for after this?
If I could make a miniscule, highly compatible mod, it would be that the pistols, the small SMGS, and the sawed offs could always go into either slot BUT big weapons like a chaser or SVD always have to go in the primary.
I think people carrying two primaries in CoP is kinda dumb, but draw time somewhat makes up for this.
Still, more secondary centric gameplay stalker. I always rock a sawed off in my secondary, even late game. Too useful. I'd probably actually carry a small barreled shotgun of some sort, totally legally of course, if I was in a flight or flight life like SoC.
The sawn off in SoC is just too good at point blank, considering the knife is pretty shitty due to range.

I've been noticing that fucking invisible barrier that bads seem to get when you give then a non-fatal stab. Makes getting a follow up stab a frustrating and retarded bitch.
Guess i just got really bad luck with fetchquests. It keeps sending me from agroprom to dark valley and im on pretty fucking bad terms with bandit-scum, so theres usually quite a lot of shooting

It's almost like you don't like good gear. Also, I just now remembered, buy the tactical helmet if ou find one, it's OP as fuck. It highlights every NPC, including mutants, even bloodsuckers on the screens in a not that small radius.
