I think that NWN2 in general was Obsidian's attempt at making a wholesome fantasy game, and it failed because the writers are obviously more at home writing weird shit and edgy, conflicted characters. Gann and Safiya from the expansion are much better than Casavir and Elanee because they have very unique backgrounds and are full of identity issues
Speaking of Viccy, it's unfair to bring up Gaider's tsunderes because nothing in the industry compares to them

Well NWN2 OC was hurt by the fact that they ran out of time and cut a lot of shit out. If they had done all four romances completely like they planned on, it might not have been so bad.

In MoTB they had more time they needed and it showed in the final product. Both the overall story and the romances were much better.
