If you were to compile a list of qualities by which individual languages can be quantified, and you were to check what English and Japanese had in common, there would be basically nothing checked. Translating from Japanese into English is a creating writing job.

This is a large portion of why people who spend a significant portion of their free time consuming Japanese media should really learn the language. When you read a translation, you're not getting the original product. You're getting the translator's creative writing skills.

Honest question. I still don't understand the argument. If it's just because it's anti-climatic, I was aiming less for climatic combat and more for how useless Jeffrey's and Sigmund's deaths were.. I wouldn't consider the ability to tank nuclear holy explosions realistic enough to work around, much less when Luka is made from the same flesh as I hope a human. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to get in my head some rulesets on what he can or can't do if he could tank those blasts with his body alone IE receiving it full force as if his body was solid adamantium that was also flexible enough to move like flesh and bone. The next most sensible thing was that what he tanked was some sort of hocus pocus that half-dissipated becuase of some other hocus pocus relating to the spirits and the angel genes. Same goes for Alice. Some sort of magic resistance that doesn't affect physical impacts, like how IRL you have EMP shielded components that can break by just dropping them onto the ground. At that point Luka didn't even have the spirits up, and the ring that locked his angel powers was still in place.

Gets worse when Luka's hp is also inconsistent as fuck. Somehow levelling can allow you to tank pleasure and also actual full damage, most blatant example being fighting Granberia and Alma next to eachother at the end of part 2. Unless getting stronger also implies becoming number to the point of slowly losing the feeling in your body and dick, it makes it a clusterfuck to know what he can or can't tank, or just how strong he is.

Best thing I could use as ruleset for what would happen there was just real life. Alice had the same issue so I could only think of her as a stronger luka on 'what she could tank'. I think not even that, as she was still sealed into a loli at that point.

So, Alice got attacked five times, and Luka without spirits or angel powers got attacked after already engaging in combat with five other guys. He got wounded, 'spent a turn' to meditate which the special needs forces used to run before they get bumrushed by mermaids. Not really seeing much issue here, as any other alternative would be a huge clusterfuck.
