Youre right that they cant be cooked, but you can still throw any animal at them to get em down. you can toss a scorpion and only lose out on 1 snail, since you can toss golden animals around too

What's your favorite weapon so far dudes?

I like the machete for it's four hit combo and the bat for it's rage attack. Also... the fully upgraded clothes iron rapes when the rage attack hits.
