Combat is best out of any of these high fantasy type games without question. Story and lore is a bit sketchy. The DLC dungeon lore is solid, main story is all over the place and ends in a rather bizarre fashion, if you happen to make your Pawn a different gender than your Arisen.

Actually now that I think about it, I think you can get them without giving away the gold idol, but only as EXTREMELY rare drops from top tier chests in the endgame areas.

So yeah, keep the idol and have more gold than you can spend and spend a while trying to savescum those items from a chest, or give it away and have more gold than you can spend and use it to buy those items.

Started hard mode as a fighter with a fighter pawn to train it well. I did this on ps3 too so I knew exactly what I was doing. Played to just before the dragon as fighter/fighter then I switched myself to assassin. In post game I did the guard cheese to gain max vocation rank on all vocations with my pawn without leveling up so I got all the good augments.

Equipment is not so good right now. Fighting the Ur-Dragon to get ascalon and dragonforge a set of chimeric armor for those sweet strength bonuses. Once I get this done this bitch is a fucking good overpowered fighter to take with you into BBI. I will not be using it anymore myself to prevent it from leveling up, at least for a while.

So here it is, my meme-pawn, Ms. Anita Sarkeesian, the strong independant womyn to lead you in battle. Level 66, scather/utilitarian so she actually uses launhboard, and she uses it a lot. So rent it, ya nigs.

Do the shops in Gran Soren ever get updated? I'm nearing level 30 and I'm still got the same gear I had when I got there, save a few bits and pieces I got from chests.

Go to the women thieves den and save in front of the ornate chest in the room with 3 chests. Open the chest, if you don't get the lingerie, run out and jump off the fort and kill yourself. Hit retry, open the chest again, repeat.

Also, if you have a yellow pawn or use a yellow class, you can farm the ornate chest above the gate for some really overpowered lightning daggers, and get a good bow in the ornate chest near the camp side of that fort. Keep in mind the bandits will all attack you if you have any men in your party unless those men equip the "set of women's clothing" you can buy at the black cat in Gran Soren.

warrior class doesn't have a shield, and also i've played most of the classes and desu sorcerer is piss easy and warrior is one of the hardest classes to play with.

yes they get a lot of hp but but even assassins get a bigger damage boost than warriors and they're also fast, while warriors are piss slow plus they get only 3 skill slots. even if you want to go in detail with arc of deliverance, the time it takes a warrior to charge AoD is the time a sorcerer can one shot a lot of bigger enemies with their basic skills. a warrior can just knock down an enemy but without buffs it is not that god.

When the arisen succeeds the pawns get a soul and become sort of human

Who remembers that scene at the end of the game where you slay the dragon and everyone who was granted immortal by the dragon ends up aging super rapidly and turning into dust.

That scene were the old arisen who was immortal ends up turning into a skeleton and then turns to dust was fucking metal and spoopy.
