I don't want any kind of multiplayer. If they make a DD2 I sure hope it will be balanced for SP. I want to explore and enjoy it at my own pace at all times without having to adapt to or put up with anybody.
Alright, awesome. Time to back everything up then. Just booted Dark Arisen on PS3 up for the first time in ages, and jesus fucking christ I didn't realize how much this port upgraded things.
>mfw getting attacked by white wolves, goblins, harpies and a motherfucking griffon at the same time
this game is fucking nuts man. Im so happy we got the port
I HATE THIS DRESS
PLEASE STOP IT
>escort bitch-ass merchant guy I can never remember the name of

I get your pain, but it's incredibly fucking good for like the first 25 levels even. At least those people are dressing their Pawns to be the most useful, rather than retards with loli Pawns wearing Silk Lingerie.

holy boon, fuck skeletons
It flares up my autism when people call the chimera a manticore but a manticore in this game would be cool af.
This game gives me mad castlevania vibes with it's designs too they're great.
fucking arch hydras, how am i supposed to kill them
literally takes forever
How fucked will I be if I make my pawn a ranger if I play warrior?
I read you can put them in the chair and customize them further with potions but would that be enough so I dont have to play ranged myself?
Will making my pawn a tank with sword & shield work if I am 2h?
>fight the dragon near the shadow fort

>get dragon forged gryphon armor
I'm sorry I ever doubted you bros this game is fucking amazing.
damn that sucks, so you basically must go through NG+ to get them (if you care). But when did this exactly happen? I played the second it was released and so far I got every achievement I'm supposed to get
My favorite two mods for DDAA:
1. "No Carry Limit AND_OR Sprint Stamina adjustments" - Very simple mod, I highly recommend selecting the one that eliminates both sprint drain and weight limit, makes the game much less frustrating. http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/19
2. "Vibrant Colors and Sharper Textures SweetFX 2.0 preset" - This is a really neat SweetFX because it completely overhauls the color scheme of the game, without the pitfalls of ENB like long load times (the top downloaded ENB for DDDA increases load times to up to one minute, along with lowering fps where as SweetFX has little performance impact.) http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/24
I feel I need to calm my autism a little. I just hit level 25 and the last story mission I did was escorting my Hydra head.
Is there a way I can clam my exp gains a little except to stop having fun?
I'm new and don't know the difference between fighter and warrior. I hire whoever has the most memeaic name like 'Brienne' or 'Sandor' or 'Aragorn' and who has the highest level.
Reminder to play Strider
>My favourite mod is a literal cheat
>killing that one specific drake for the first time after getting spooked by it whilst strolling around
man, I know that feel and it's a great one. Glad you enjoy the game
>trying to make Kazuma
>can't have stubble and sideburns at the same time
where can I buy an eyepatch for old snake?
>they finally fixed the pawn system
About fucking time.
Here's hoping people hire my lolipawn.
Fighter is sword and shield, focused on drawing enemy aggro and staying alive.
Warrior is greatsword/greathammer, focused on being a fucking tank and dealing out huge damage in single hits.
OK so i tried playing the game last weekend but I had to stop because the dragon at the beach started talking spanish or some shit all of a sudden and I just had to quit because I didnt understand shit without subtitles. However the audio settings were on English so what gives?
When will this filthy gook fuck remove the filters, I miss niggaspeak iiabqswmfaotbtihbos2006(if i am being quite sincere with my fellow anons on theis board that i have been on since 2006)
>Reduced Stamina Usage mod
why not infinite health mod too
Not him but...
>develop tool to open proprietary game container
>convert proprietary archives to editable text file
>modify arbitrary variables
>upload to nexus
It's definitely a mod. It's not a cheat.
>if you throw a rabbit, it dies
The more you know.
I mean, it's not like it gives you an advantage in battle. You simply no longer have to constantly adjust your inventory, nor constantly stop for breath when running somewhere. It's more like a QoL fix than a cheat.
Anyway, let's move on from the topic of people being overly salty over an optional mod. Here's DDDA with that SweetFX preset, and I'll post the original pic next.
I'm currently thinking of saving DA content for NG+, is there any reason to do it on the first play through as well?
Throw it at a healing pool
Dragon's Dogma sword, looks pretty cool

When should I go hang out with the Duke?
The guy is telling me that all my shit will be cancelled
The PC Casual Race hard at work.
I recommend getting some invulnerability, instant level 200 and one hit kills too. Be sure to use CE to give yourself some lvl. 3 BBI gear as well.
Magic Archer, you just get so much unique shit to play around with.
Rusted shortbow. It just makes for such a great side arm. Don't think I have a favorite armor.
That's a tough one. Maybe comestion, for how fucking amazing it is compared to how shitty the description for it makes it seem.
>coolest shit you've done?
Nothing too amazing yet this time, though I have staggered a cyclops off of a cliff so that was pretty rad.
>most useful utility ability/spell?
Anything that causes slow, or maybe that shadow pin move MA gets. God damn, do I love that shit.
So hold up.. Pawns will do -anything- for their master? Then that means.. back at the inn every evening, the Arisen be plowin' dem bitches. "Yes, Master. Please ravage this Pawn's asshole harder"
But wait.. the Arisen doesn't have a heart. Meaning no bloodflow. Meaning no boner capabilities!
Oh my god, being Arisen is truly suffering.
That looks better than >>324421158
>shitty edge of screen darkening filter
>increase saturation without increasing brightness making everything look too dark
>that shitty 'sharpness' filter
I tried hard mode for a bit, but got my ass handed to me by a bandit who could one-shot me from full health. Is this a common theme in hard mode? I switched to normal, but now it feels like the rest of the challenge is neutered. I like the idea of taking my adventure a bit more seriously, but the OHKO is a turn off. Am I too casual, or does the game become more lenient as you get into it?
>Just change vocation anon, that way you train your pawn
>Finally give in and make my quick firestarter magick archer into a slow sword and board warrior
>Try to "teach" my pawn
>Getting ass kicked
>Pawn's raping shit with his much better equipment, much better skills, and much better playstyle
What the fuck am I supposed to teach this motherfucker.
What's the best inclinations for making a fighter/warrior pawn that exist to fuck shit up? Like their sole job is to kill everything as best they can.
My current fighter pawn is ok but she seems to focus on drawing enemy attention and occasionally grabbing archers/mages calling for me to kill them while she has them locked up.
She doesn't seem to fight enough, just blocks a lot does the shield taunt. I want to say she is scather/challenger right now but I'm in class and I can't remember. Back when I played on the 360 when it first came out my pawn was a wrecking ball who launched themself into the middle of a fight and wreck face, so I want that back.
excuse me ser, but i am pc master race and currently playing the game on pc with 120fps and 4k, and i must tell you that i don't agree with the pc community about using cheats, it makes me feel like a little slut
Is it viable to just play as a basic vocation like strider forever? I really like stepping stone and assassin wasn't giving me the same feeling when I dipped into it.
>have a warrior pawn
>it just charges into enemies if surrounded windmills everything
>if not surrounded it just stabs into an enemy and waits for team to kill it
>runs into drakes constantly stunlocking the head
>tfw can't use your pawns as bait
Kinda disappointing 2bh
Right, but again, it's a QoL improvement. It's annoying as hell to have to stop and catch your breath every minute over the full course of traveling to another side of the map. It's also annoying as hell to constantly have to deposit almost all your items and/or offload them to pawns. I mean, we can argue semantics all day, but it's a very useful tweak for many players, hence why it's the fifth highest downloaded mod available.
TL;DR - There's a huge difference between a cheat like max attack power versus a "cheat" like unlimited sprint that'd only help when fleeing battle (which is rare for most players.) Also, the game gives you unlimited sprint anyway via infinite mushrooms.
>that bullshit metal golem fight in Everfall where the last amulet is way the fuck up in the air
Impossible as a warrior and my ranged pawns won't attack it. Now I see what you all meant when you said Warrior gets shafted.
is it just me or is this game way to short.
how can i enter ng+ with hard mode since i'm at the final battle and ow possible is it to go from warrior to fighter since i tried it and holy shit if that isn't a difference like day and night.
>semantics all day
This isnt semantics, its facts.
You are reducing the games difficulty for no purpose other than the fact you refuse to use the ingame mechanics that already exist to deal with the issues you described.
You are cheating, end of discussion.
Stepping stone is a move that feels useless but it's so satisfying, especially since I put it on my magick archer.
>Steping Stone --> Sunburst
I actually miss pretty often but it feels SO GOOD.
Does this game have any depth at all? I don't want yet another game as shallow as The Witcher 3 or Skyrim. Novel at first but then you're just repeating the same content the entire game with very limited attacks and equipment that you get bored with after 2 hours
Bronn my Pawn and Talia my generic waifu Arisen.
I'm assuming the Pawn system is still borked for some, because Bronn here has a shit ton of unknown monster information, but no hires or crystals?
i played this on xbox 360 when it first came out, and dark arisen, is magick knight still the most overpowered vocation if you use the right like 3 spells?
I think one was like dark magic weapon or something
>Also, the game gives you unlimited sprint anyway via infinite mushrooms.
Oh really? Where is this infinite mushroom?
Thats sarcasm by the way, you're retarded, and that 'mod' is actually just a cheat. Now fuck off and stop trying to derail the thread.
You're a fucking retard. Having stamina drain while running is a huge part of magical classes that rely entirely on stamina draining spells. If I didn't have to worry about conserving stamina running everywhere combat would be noticeably easier. It makes combat easier.
>since i'm at the final battle
Are you... sure you're at the final battle...?
The -real- final battle?
Sorcerer because I can enter the Witchwood through the exit.
>Again, I already explained that the value for battles is minimal.
>Literally never has to run out of healing items
>Every character moves like SANIC no matter what equipment they use
Lol. Keep telling yourself that you cheaty cheat cheat.
I just put a portcrystal there. >>324422472
Let's be fair here, the CC is simple but the amount of options is very large. It's honestly one of the best I've seen in videogames, most other games that use this simplistic "pick a feature" type of CC only have like 5-10 options TOPS.
>infinite space for healing/consumables
>able to sprint around enemies infinitely
Those are MASSIVE advantages and its cheating.
This is your last reply since you are obviously just trolling now or literally retarded.
>Some nigger dares to hire my healslut pawn
>Gives a 1/5 rating and no parting gift
Going out at night always makes me wish I was playing Magick Archer, but then playing Magick Archer always makes me wish I was playing any other class. It never ends
>it's not like it gives you an advantage in battle.
Yeah, I can't possibly see how having access to every curative you ever pick up could possibly give you an advantage in battle. All those stat buffing items items? Not a combat advantage at all. Throwblasts and other literal combat items? Nope, no combat advantage here.
The credits may roll but you are nowhere near done
Also don't forget about Bitterblack Isle
What inclinations do I get for a caster?
The chargen is great but it's not the best in video games. It's very limited if you want to make something good, most of the face shapes are just retarded.
>tfw lose credit card and cant buy game yet
>32 hours in pirated version
Will I need to restart, or can I transfer my save?
Postin' my pawn and Arisen portraits. They're fighters, of course, and she's 6' tall.
Nah don't I thought Jasper was the black dude, looked it up and it's the guy getting evicted. He's probably at the main circle, or the bend going towards the rich part of town.
Variety is still the spice of life. When everything is a loli, I get bored. That said, I hired a loli because she was the only one who had the spells I wanted, but she ended being my team's MVP with support and knowledge, so I don't hate them.
Oh well in that case it's even MORE broken
>Use Wind Harness
>Always at Very light lode
The Momentum carry for that would be broken on an Assassin.
Also carry weight effects stamina drops when climbing.
>TFW I took the Fournaville trial quest and my friend told me the quest I've got where the harpies steal a letter will disappear if I finish it
>i didn't think to ask until halfway through the nighttime assassination quests when it said 2 days left
Pls don't go to jail Fournaville
>Become a Mystic Knight
>Get Magick Cannon
This shit is fucking awesome
Pretty much anything with actual sliders and many games that just simply have more presets. Most MMOs for instance.
I love the chargen in this game but it's definitely not the best out there. It's great though.
Help me consolebros, how can I not be a fucking magpie all the time
>tall heavy character
>pick up every fucking thing
>even dumping materials every 20 minutes into storage I'm still teetering under heavy
>don't want to sell anything, what if I need it later
One time I had 15 fucking pumpkins, and I just stored them, and let them rot because I forgot about them. I don't even NEED veggies, I have that healing incense + spring water
I think my Watergod Altar has bugged out. I stepped on the pressure switch but the water isn't draining, so now I'm stuck behind the big slab door thing. Probably going to have to ferrystone out, huh?
>pawn rental rewards finally work
Holy balls that's a lot of RC.
Jesus fucking christ anon, if that was the case you wouldn't be cheating would you?
I mean stop trying to defend it by saying it's not cheating. You're cheating, who fucking cares it's a single player game quit defending it, and quit giving a fuck what other people think. Yes you're cheating, but nobody would care if you being so fucking vocal about it. Fuck off.
>playing a class with dodge roll for the first time
>trying to go back to a non-yellow vocation
fuck, I can't do it. this roll is so fucking great
>good for evading
>works in water/marshes (hi metal golem)
>is almost as fast as running, perfect to spam for when you have depleted your stamina bar sprinting somewhere
once you go dodge...
>"pawn rental finally works"
>friends confirming they use my pawn
>still not getting RC
am I cursed or something, not all of my friends pawns are available to me either
>have 9k crystals
>pawn has been hired once
>get 27k crystals
mr koala, but i know about urr dragon and bitterblack isle, but can i swap to ng+ hard mode and how?
do i select hard mode at the menu screen od do i enter the game normal mode and just change to hard?
and should i do bbi ng or ng+?
because i am getting my ass handed to me in bbi with my lvl 50 warrior.
>Pretty much anything with actual slider
I don't agree at all, most slider-based character creation systems I've seen, while better on paper, are extremely difficult to work with and to get stuff looking right. And I can't think of any games with more presets. Most games with preset body parts rarely have more than 15 or so.
>Mine still doesnt work
Just kill me
Apparently some people on the
steam forumsare getting reward items/RC
>spending 30 dollars on a 4 year old game
I guess that's worth the wait for people who can't handle the base difficulty anyways.
I heard of some sweet "mods" that give you infinite health aswell. Finally the master race can fix the problems of these games!
>use this cheat and SweetFX!
Go fuck yourself.
i need help, my main pawn is pioneer medicant utilitarian. i want med util and then whatever but if i use potions or pawn chair its just swapping out whatever i have in second. For example when i use a Util potion i get pioneer util medicant, when i use medicant potion i get pioneer medicant utilitarian.
pawn chair is the same only letting me choose med or util and swapping them out while pioneer is top
It's known that the PC is where a video game series goes to die, (read: souls series; ebin masterrace memes). With that in mind, I just wanted to say fuck you all for playing a role in the death of what was my favorite game last gen.
Because they were only in the game for people who owned the original, and upgraded to BBI. For the PC release they just left it in for everyone. It wasn't in DD as far as I'm aware.
Which skills are good on ranger? It seems tenfold is the only skill worth using.
Pretty much any Bethesda game is better(with mods at least), MGSV was better, Dragon Age is arguably better, Mass Effect I think was decent but I didn't play the game, etc.
It being hard doesn't make the system worse though imo. Like a retard, I was just thinking about faces though so you two are right.
i just post on your post so it gets more posts
i saw that there is some difference between doing arc at the exact moment the bar fills and when it is fully charged, but i don't know what exactly.
I haven't started this game yet and I want to have a challenging time for my entire playthrough, should I play hard or normal mode? I heard hard mode gets easy half-way through the game.
That's because everyone plays the game at the start without considering the final, or few, vocations that they want their main pawn to be. I'll use myself as an example. Back when this game first came out, I rolled a strider and climbed shit while I made my main pawn a fighter. Now, instead of using dragon's maw all the fucking time like I would like her to, she insists on climbing everything to get to the weak point. Now, this isn't too too bad for things like Daimon, but it's a little annoying when she climbs "medium" sized enemies instead of just fighting them.
Push block button right before you get hit
Prevents all damage, does pretty huge damage, and staggers enemys
I think it makes it so that you don't lose stamina from the block too but I'm not sure
warrior (the only one i've played)
two handers and armor, still looking for something better than the full helmet and griffin armor.
the super charge with two hander
first time i killed a chimera or whatever it jumped at me outta the woods and i was unprepared but he was unprepared still further by my indomitable charge aught
the ferry stone is by far the best thing in the game cause it has so much fucking walking.
i went to buy the fouverinsiraisroiro paper to make him not get jailed sold by the guy in the middle of fuck really far away from gran soren right, i napped at the guy who lets you nap at his tent and then i died at the dragon nearby.
i then used a ferrystone to get to gran soren to use the paper for fournival and it turned out i didnt have the paper cause i bought the paper, THEN died to the dragon, so i never actually bought it.
i am livid and will uninstall this bullshit game, fuck the stupid walking distances.
at least give me a horse or something fuck
I DIDN'T KNOW
That sure is nice, though.
Always always always check the skills of the pawn you are about to hire. For some reason people load out their pawns with shit skills all the damn time.
I've seen mage pawns with four status ailment spells and then the rest is buff spells.
Even if you do upgrade it you don't have to use it. You just charge up the high versions in a second bar while sitting on the level one spell. There isn't a reason not to, unless you're worried about spending the points
Deathly Arrow or whatever its called is pretty strong, has insane knockback and hurts like a bitch for when things have too much defense for 10 fold. Spiral arrow is great for using status arrows - you get a bunch of hits out of a single arrow, too bad the hotkeys are curatives and the lamp only for some reason. Din is great for stunning/staggering all kinds of shit. A great gamble to the weak point pretty much makes it explode, and with stamina items on hotkeys you can use it pretty often if you want to.
That's not anything to do with Ranger, it's just people not training their pawns properly. They learn from you so if you want your Pawn to be an effective Ranger, you have to play a Ranger too.
>all those webms of warriors using Arc
>No one has done a Webm of a Ranger killing a griffin mid-flight with Great Gamble
It's a fucking guided missile, why are there no webums? Am I the only one who plays Ranger? I bet you cucks don't even know about petrification arrows baka
>Used to my Sorcerer casting Maelstrom on enemies
>First time getting caught in Maelstrom myself
Fuck me, my pawn died and I accidently to the city.
I-it respawns, right?
Exactly. Fortunately there exists an item in the game that you can buy to wipe your main pawns memory so they can learn from you all over again. I'm too lazy to use it, but it is possible to help reteach them good habits.
if you want to go alone, then use it, if not, mystic knight is better.
if your pawn is a mage or sorcerer with buffs than you can do the biggest damage in game and best crowd control
>nobody doing the online Ur Dragon
I know BBI gear outclasses it a lot but i wanted those nice holy weapons dammit
>It's annoying as hell to have to stop and catch your breath every minute over the full course of traveling to another side of the map.
>buy shitloads of large mushrooms
>sprint somewhere while pressing hotkey every now and then
Did every quest for Madeleine, gave her the Arisen Bond and she was giggly as fuck. Upon doing the Greatwall quest the Ring is nowhere to be found.
I don't even want to know who is going to await me.
For yourself, there's no reason not to. On a pawn, it's debatable. Higher levels of anodyne are much more efficient in cast time and heal time, but pawns also usually refuse to cast anything less than the highest level of whatever they have so you can get situations where they're repeatedly interrupted.
Quests that say kill x amount of y will be fine, but wyrm hunt quests you can get from maximillian will be cancelled unless you've finished them. Escort quests will also be canceled I think.
You are limited to customizing your arisen and your main pawn, yes. You can customize them again later by buying a one time purchase item after killing the main dragon. Then after that you can redo yourself and your pawn as often as you like. It's a bit of a long road though, so dont dick around with your pawn too much in the beginning otherwise you're stuck with them.
I understand that no class is supposed to be good at everything but what's the most balanced class? What can be considered a jack of all trades?
Assassin is awesome, especially his exclusive counterattack moves, but he's got zero magic which makes him weak against high defense enemies and worthless against the few enemies who can only be killed with magic.
Magick Archer comes pretty close but his low health and low physical attack power makes him a really risky choice to do anything other than firing his bow.
Mystick Knight has great defensive abilities but nothing great offensively, unless you're using Magick Cannon which turns the game into no-fun free kills from afar territory.
I've started over three times already at around, what I assume is, the halfway point. I want to enjoy the game but I'm having a really hard time here.
Also note that pawns are really, really good at getting the timing perfect every time. They also handle Fracture Dart really well, and pretty much never fuck it up.
Those who don't know, you can manually detonate Fracure Dart before the actual arrow hits anything, and it does a lot more damage. I wanna say you hold the button after firing it off, and release the button for explosions. Hits an area, hurts like a bitch and if it can burn, it will.
You can actually use any of the buttons. On a controller, it tells you to wiggle the sticks but its infinitely faster to wiggle the sick while mashing the face buttons.
Its a fighter augment.
Assassin has grown on me for its versatility. I like playing as the dagger class, but there's that tank option because I don't like leaving that job to the AI.
Daggers and the skimpy shit
For myself, double jump. From my pawn, her ability to summon fucking meteors.
>coolest shit you've done?
Double jump right as a chimera's snake tail was striking at me. I pressed the grab button and instead of being hit by it, I was on its neck and chopped it the fuck off.
>most useful utility ability/spell?
Can't go wrong with double jump.
This game looks like so much fun. Love reading about all of these adventures that people are having and watching some streams of them every now and then.
I can't afford to play it myself, but I love reading about other people's adventures so much that it would make my day if even a single person added me and told me about their adventures with some details that they might leave out in a post in a thread!
I also turned 20 today. I don't have any living family and I don't have any friends to celebrate with, but I enjoy lurking and feeling like a part of the community here. Makes me truly happy.
that's what you get for having a shitty pawn
Is there something essential about combining and crafting that I must know? I've been randomly merging shit together. I'm at the first encampment with Mercedes and I have only bought some new armors and upgrade my pawns' weapon to level 1.
>Rent a healslut pawn that sucks dick
>Give a 1/5 and a rotten fish
Make better pawns asshole
A Mystic Knight without the cannon is just a fancier Fighter. They have many of the same sword/mace skills and their blocks are way more useful. They also have some bitching aerial skills that they get and Fighters don't. It's a balanced class.
OKAY I CAN MOD THAT'S COOL BUT HOW DO I INTO GUTS MODE?!
You'll have to go Ranger to get her to use skills and effect arrows I think.
If you want her to be support throw on the shockwave arrow skill, and spam it, she will too eventually.
If you want her to be DPS put tenfold and gamble on her and constantly shoot at weakpoints ONLY. There's nothing worse than a Ranger pawn who constantly Gambles and misses.
It seems you don't like Mystic Knight, but it really does seem to be the most well-rounded class. It has balanced stat growth and can adapt to any situation, whether you need to use ranged attacks or melee, tank or play a support role, use magick or physical attacks.
If you like Magick Archer but don't like having low health or physical attack, you can just play as a warrior for several levels, since it has really high stat growth in both HP and phys attack.
that's kind of sad, but there is nothing holding you back from being a little bitch and telling your online friends about it.
anyway, if money is the problem just torrent the game and if you think your pc is weak, trust me it isn't.
i thought i'd never play it because of the minimum requirements but it runs for some apparent reason at 60fps with my core2duo and my nvidia gt.
Man, some of the augment descriptions are terrible.
>Egression: Facilitates easier escapes from battle
It doesn't help you escape from battles at all, it lets you get out of grapples.
>Toxicity: Sharply increases the cumulative damage wrought by your poison attacks
It increases the chance of the enemy getting poisoned, it doesn't make your poison stronger.
>Resistance: Reduces cumulative damage when you are debilitated by non-Archmagick attacks.
It completely protects you from debuffs, it doesn't make you take less damage from them.
who with /virgin pawn who never got to experience hiring/ here?
>Mystick Knight has great defensive abilities but nothing great offensively
MK has plenty of offensive options. Two huge fuck you AoEs, the ability to exploit every elemental weakness they want to, general use attack buffs, and the standard sword/mace attacks are all pretty good.
>Magick Archer comes ... risky choice to do anything other than firing his bow.
Not really. Shadow pin holds small/medium monsters totally still, and immoliation + kisses and explosive rivets will fuck any large creature up hard.
>I've started over three times already
Fucking why? Stats? Just play strider for balanced growths then, or stop worrying about the negligible difference in stats of one character out of 4.
I don't want to risk scaring off any of the online friends I have already. I'd rather just be quiet about it and let the day pass like any other.
I don't know what made me feel like mentioning that it was my birthday in my post, but maybe it's because I'm more miserable than I think.
>Madeline gets killed during an escort mission
>Oh well, she's probably reset to town
>Ferrystone back to grab the mission again
>Nope, gone for good!
This is not aught at all...
I'd play Ranger, but I don't like how your character tries to but the bow away for a second when you release alt even if you're still holding down the right mouse button, and I'm too used to the hotkey stuff now to switch back to my controller.
just do it since money isn't a problem, and give the real one to the merchant.
but once you get the wyrmkeeps ring, make a forgery of the ring, hand over the fake one and keep the real one if you have a mage or sorcerer build or pawn.
I know man this is the 3rd time i've owned this game but I really wanted to go OP as fuck for PC which is why i'm grinding like fuck for the vocations. At this point though I'm tempted to just check out trainers and shit to see if I can level it quicker because doing this shit 3 times in a row in beyond autism, even for me.
No, the one that is basically full bend but you can't move. If you fire it off as soon as it fills up/your character flashes, it gets a large boost in power. You'll be sending shit flying each time.
Help me /v/ I am pretty sure there is something off about my pawn but I can't quite put my finger on it. Advice on facial reconstruction is welcome
Probably MK. Cannons do both magic and physical damage, so they can hit anyone. If you don't want to use canons, the actual strongest MK would be pure physical using abyssal anguish anyway.
Magick Archer's biggest downfall is probably that the bow is pure magick, so they end up in Fighter/Warrior situations against the few metal golems in the game.
The only class with no real bad situation would be Sorcerer. Some of their spells do physical so they have no issues with golems, and end-game when you have no time for long cast-times charged holy bolts end up ripping off multiple health bars from bosses anyway. Holy bolts are pretty boring though.
>just start playing
>go rest at Cassardin
>suddenly get the message about my pawn returning from aiding another player
>get 5 star ratings
That's good news... but in an actual week or a game week?
at 20 life has just begun, i can't tell you that it gets better but just pirate the game and participate in these threads, since every bit of information is helpfull since not everyone knows everything, instead of telling everyone how miserable you are since there will always be someone who is more miserable than you.
happy birthday, anon
Oh, and one more MK tip for the road.
If you are REALLY sick of somethings shit, grab a rusted staff, and spam the sleep spell on it. It'll be totally locked down while your pawns dog pile it and fuck it over. Even works on Garms and Elder Ogres in BBI.
Not very exciting or fulfilling, but effective as fuck.
You're already done with the main story??? You've really powered through it!!
She's looking a bit gaunt.
Legit, thought it would be more difficult to transfer my PS3 save to PC, but it was super easy. Can't wait to play endgame MA without the framerate fucking tanking to single digits in certain areas.
>pawn system finaly works
>only guy that hired my pawn didnt gave me any points
>gifted me a rock
>rated my pawn 3 stars at everything
Yeah I think you guys nailed it. Any further advice?
>3/5 for the others
I mean, I guess it's a start.
Any suggestions on what to do to make a sorcerer more useful to people?
Pawn on left.
Is there a mod that switches the running animation outside of towns to the one used inside of towns? That's fast enough for me, don't know why they have to different running animations for in and out of town or why the in-town one is faster when you can just sprint everywhere.
r8 my arisen
I just got 13k rift crystals so when the time comes I'll get the secret of metamorphosis and tweak as necessary
>Spend 48 minutes in the dungeon cell pondering if they were masterworks all
>Released with a new outlook on the world
People throw around some guides for stat building, playing certain classes in a certain order to min-max your abilities.
I say, just play it at your own volition. I think the game supports any playstyle you'd want to explore really and while a few classes are easier than others, there's no wrong way to play.
When you come to Gran Soren, check the inventory box to find the DLC items, like the Eternal Ferrystone. That's real handy, even if it goes against the intention of the game.
It seems all roads lead to Gran Soren
Should I make my pawn have the same vocation as me? I'm an assassin and my Pawn is a fighter. Am I really missing out on anything if I don't?
All this hype again for this game, think ill play again, but what class?
>strider is insane, can be a super ninja
>turn that into a ranger, because basic dagger skills are still kick ass and get to use special arrows better with multi-hit arrow
>then again magik archer doesnt need arrows and has even better dagger skills and magick shit
>but the fighter is a more grounded, can use perfect blocking and sweet sword moves
>then again the assasin has that cool counter attack and explosives
>but the mystik knight....
>literally cant choose between any of them
>dont play the game
I apologize. I didn't mean to come off that way.
I understand what you are saying and appreciate it.
I'm just gonna go back to lurking to prevent any more confusion.
Thanks for the happy birthday.
I suppose you could, but there's really no point. As in Dungeons & Dragons, a good mix of classes is convenient for any situation.
Don't give it maelstrom if you want hires from melee players. You can't see SHIT in the middle of one of those. The slow spell is amazing, so keep that. Also, try getting 100% petrification resistance and loading up high voidspell. That can be a real lifesaver - in the most literal of ways.
Pawns emulate how you fight, so they may pick up on some bad habits if you aren't playing a similar vocation
For example your fighter will probably be a lot less defensive and not know how to perfect block
I've been playing the game for a bit now, and I am having fun, but I want to play another class.
I was Strider and then went into assassin at level 16. I want to become a Magic Archer (I am currently level 30)
Should I go mage or sorcerer for a bit to level up my magic and get abilities? Or is it safe for me to just go straight to Magic Archer?
I have some pretty decent Magic Archer items (A cool bow and some daggers enchanted with fire).
I don't think people really care for sorcerers in the early game. They're going to take a mage for a healer, and they'll probably view sorcerer as redundant.
In the post-game where people can get armor that constantly heals them or those around them, sorcerers will be more desirable. I usually start hiring one in BBI just for high voidspell. Especially against cockatrices.
Wasn't there an ability to create other pawns beside main on consoles?
I played it only a bit offline and vaguely remember that I created all 4 characters.
Is there any mod to get rid of the obnoxious blur around my character every time I use the lantern or my weapons become enchanted? I honestly can not even see in front of my character when it's there.
