Hoping for a patch soon. My performance isn't what it should be, and looking on the steam forums, I'm not completely alone. Even with low settings I can't keep a solid 60 fps in towns and busier areas.

Ripostes and enchanted weapons do fine except for flying enemies. Riposte with the right element does a lot of damage and you're effectively immortal with good timing. Enchanted weapons + Abysmal Anguish is the strongest sustained melee DPS in the game. You are forced to use the balls if you want to hit flying targets though unless you just wait for them to attack and riposte them.

even if they're a mage they do get some damage spells, you can't just slot all buffs and heals

mages make the game easy mode however. Try doing an escort quest with just yourself and your main pawn with neither of you being a mage. That'll give even those faggots screaming the game is too easy a run for their money.

But I'm playing SoTC style so climb & stab has been my approach to the whole game so far. Might have come more naturally to me.

Played 25 levels as fighter, had a very brief stay as a mage when I thought I could just "quickly" go ahead and level the vocation for augments.

Then switched to Mystic Knight which is the class I wanna use but I feel my magick is piss poor. Should I use a Sword instead of a Mace? I guess I won't actually auto attack that much anyways and they almost always seem to give you more magick rather than strength.

I was picking a new hire today and I must have cycled through thirty warrior/fighter pawns with scather primary and mitigator/challenger secondary.

Do people actually prefer scather on their pawns? Personally I prefer mitigator all the way so they can handle the baby shit while I tackle the big stuff.

They're not effective in using their charged abilities (biggest damage) and consequentky do hardly anything. They also usually don't hit weak spots of big monsters. Warrior pawns are best to clear the weaker enemies. With their reach it's easy to clear them out fast

Any tips for Hard mode fresh new game? I played the game extensively on PS3 last year, but found new game plus hard mode a breeze thanks to how overpowered my Arisen was from the previous game on normal. On Hard mode with a fresh character basically everything one shots you, at least at the start. I'm not sure what to do, play on Normal or Hard.

You could replace Silencium with nearly anything else, unless your mage is actually getting close enough to spell casters to silence them. Additionally, I always roll with two warriors and I have never seen them completely at a loss for what to do. The situations in which they flat out CANNOT reach a ranged enemy are extremely rare (and in those situations they always default to something else rather than, I don't know, running up against the side of a wall forever or whatever it is you imagine a warrior with the mitigator inclination to do) and flying enemies never take long to move within range.
