If it were up to me I'd go back to sprites, remove megas and re-hire the guy who did the rest of the OST. Next games should keep features from the previous (secret bases and stuff), and be more difficult. Reverting the EXP share to it's old fuctions would help a lot too.

A remake of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (mainly because this game might be annoying/time-consuming to implement for any more than 150 pokemon) where instead of giving the pokemon turn-based commands, you actually physically control them in a 3d arena.
You're still restricted to your 4 abilities, you can return them to their pokeballs and switch, and you can still move around as restricted by your pokemon's physical capabilities. For instance, pokemon with low speed stat move slowly, flying pokemon can fly, hitmonlee can jump really high, ghost pokemon can momentarily disappear, double team actually makes fake doubles, etc.
This way, it adds another layer of strategy beyond just type match-ups (yes, yes, I know all about your fun min-maxing shit, you smogon fucks). So even if your opponents' pokemon are really strong, level-wise, with sufficient skill you can still defeat them.
