R8 my pawn.
Kill huge amounts of the lowest tier enemy you can find.
>tfw it looked good in character creation but came out as potato
>tfw not getting riftbux due to fucked up servers
Anons, are you using any kind of ENB or something?
I've tried the original for Dragon's Dogma, which just seems to be dark and one called Resonant ENB, but that just seems too much of everything
The anons asking random people for information on a game that's been out for years.
They aren't even asking questions about the game most of the time. It's "WHERE DO I GO FOR QUEST"
"WHAT DO I DO NOW AFTER SUCH AND SUCH"
>hire a fighter pawn
>team is me, my ranger main pawn, the fighter, and a sorcerer
>my ranger almost never gets downed and does well
>sorcerer gets downed from time to time but mainly when getting overwhelmed, as will happen with sorcerers
>the fighter is CONSTANTLY being downed at ALL FUCKING TIMES
How do you train your pawn so fucking poorly
Remember using curatives affects an escort if they are "group" based.. 10 spring waters or so will allow you to breeze through them, also they can be healed by mages. Taking on a gore chimera when escorting some dude from cassardis to shadow fort was pretty much gg as a result of the group heal water.
Fix it then, plebian.
Put some clothes on your slut.
Same to you, faggo.
SweetFX with just a tiny bit of saturation, some SMAA and a tiny bit of sharpening.
the worst of the platform shitposting on dragon's dogma threads beforehand was shit like
>playing JRPGs on 360
>playing at 5FPS mystic knight instead of 8FPS mystic knight
>the pawn that draws aggro to itself isn't suitably equipped to survive aggro
Even when I had a fighter as my main pawn it still didn't get downed even 1/4 as much as this fucklestick
Designed an extremely balanced build that nets me 4k hp, 4k stamina and the rest of the stats equalled out for maximum BBI group runs with pawn share parties for flexibility, pawn is doing the same.. She now has 70 levels as a sorcerer to do, wheras I have 60 levels as strider.
While I am glad to not be a warrior anymore in BBI stuff, it is now Strider time, just got level 2 daggers from Daimon, feels good man.
Time to get CUHRAYZEEEEE
Please help this dumb one.
If I pirated DD, where does it save my in-game screenshots?
Is there any downside to staying one of the starting classes? I really like strider's midair spinflip move, but when I changed to assassin I learned that the move was strider only. Am I at a downside for staying strider or is any class viable?
I hope my fighter pawn isn't being downed all of the time. Granted I haven't exactly gotten him fully geared and shit but still. Of course I have been rushing shit so I may be neglecting such things.
And with that I realized I haven't even posted mine yet.
Kind of retarded if you train them with the skills like Arc of deliverance
Better off staying in the back line
I go with fighter if i'm not using one since that class is the most reliable and easiest to teach
Striders are for climbing and being Cuhrayzee, Fighter is kingpin for frontline.. recruit one using ONLY Dragons Maw, mid/late game that has good inclinations (possibly shield drum if you need that taunt) But Dragons Maw is fucking sick, and makes them immune when spamming it.. Just give them plenty of shrooms..
>yfw leaving a port crystal at the healing spring and filling 50 odd cheap ass empty containers
Finally got out of DLC gear.
I bet the party hat and queen dress still outclass this.
Is anything I send with pawns going through or is the rift completely busted?
Nope. The only one that's not worth staying on is mage.
That goes for pawns as well.
That midair flip move is one of the best in the game and pretty much the only reason to play Strider over Assassin though.
>tfw leaving a portcrystal at the Shadow Fort for ez mode escort missions
Also FUCK THOSE BALLISTAS
Ratings, RC and gifts not going through, but monster knowledge is coming through..
Check your "bestiary" on your pawn. unidentified quest/enemy means its being hired. at least.
yeah I had the scrawny old man be a warrior and the big guy pawn an archer.
i thought it would be funny
So I grabbed the item that increases experiences for a short time. I was considering placing port crystals all over and ferrying my way through a few escort missions during the bonus XP duration.
But does it just expire instantly on the first ferry due to time passing?
I love how much TRUTH Julian doles out on this scene
poor girl doesn't know shes just a cum bucket
>Also FUCK THOSE BALLISTAS
>mfw popping goblins with exploding ballistas
>mfw the mid air explosions
My Fighter has 70 levels as a sorc to do for Mdef/Matk (only reason for the Matk is because I am doing a balanced build anyway so I can switch her)
But when that is done, she will be a real "Run into the heart of a dragon, spam dragons maw, laugh" sorta gal.
These sorc levels are suffering tho, at least I can pop Weal items like crazy in BBI 2.0 for 1-2 levels at a time.. Offline UR grinding is pretty boring.
>Better off staying in the back line
>not wanting your strider pawn to scale an ogre and then double jump skullsplitter his face, dealing massive damage
you want rangers in the back, well-trained striders fuck shit up close. My strider pawn pretty much kills everything by herself
Easily the funnest skill. Is it only magick archers that get it?
Seems a strange but amusing choice for someone that's supposed to excel at a range.
My ballista got stuck for some reason, couldn't fire it any more, so I was stuck fighting a cyclops and protecting that NPC faggot while two ballistas were peppering us with exploding bolts
Ok. I changed it according to your suggestions. How about now anons?
Normally don't hire extra pawns but I needed magic.
Rate my iron dwarves.
I'm planning on going Mystic Knight. Currently levelling Sorcerer for some magic stat growth.
Should I get core skills with Sorc like Focused Bolt and Magic Agent? Do they carry over to Mystic Knight like Augments when I switch or would I need to buy them again?.
Just teach her how to climb onto a dragon and stab it's heart out.
>Striders fuck shit up close
My fighter does the same thing cause LO AND BEHOLD I taught her how to fight almost anything.
dem kek grafix
>inb4 it's a game port from '12
I never got the whole "bleating she-goat" thing. She got a shit job because she was unwanted by her family, and tried to do her best
Julian was right that she was sent because her kingdom wanted gramsys to get fucked, true. Everything else he was saying we only have his word for it, including "mocked by own men", "bleating", and "she-goat".
That long haired one is pretty balla tho
nobody in the entire world believes the dragon can be killed by a human the duke believes you will make a bargain with the dragon like he did before most of the arisen have been killed or simply fucked off only the seneschal defeated the dragon those who fail to defeat the seneschal become the dragon themselves
if this where a western game, mercedes would've won
and I doubt SJW who'd bitch about the entire thing would even REACH to that point
>tfw can't bother with all the bullshit of getting her or Jewtits as a beloved
>probably gonna go with Quina or some boring shit like that just to avoid the duchess and Fournival
lemme tell you something about ye knights of old
being so far away from their wives, soldiers would get desperate, so they'd resort to fucking sheep to relieve stress
basically julian is saying she is only good for being a cum bucket
Reminder that if you want to rank a vocation fast just hire two sorcerers with an aoe skill (maelstorm works wonders), head to outside of the castle attack one of the guards, jump to the church wall and go jack off while your pawns wreck shit, you will be max rank in 30 mins.
So do y'all make your main Character off yourself and then make your main pawn your waifu? Do you try and make a Fantasy Duo out of the two characters? Anything different you do with them?
>the duke believes you will make a bargain with the dragon like he did before
But the bargain will makes you a duke so why shouldn't he just covertly thward your efforts?
People are really lenient with crime in Gransys it seems like.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use fighters, or that one is better then the other, but the guy saying that striders are
>Better off staying in the back line
is plain wrong. Strider is for close up, specially since shortbows do less damage from afar.
If you end up fighting, after you can
use a Wakestone on him.
Well at least my Arisen is cute cute CUTE
A true MK get the party started.
try my reshade. I fucked up though so read the comments.
He sides with a cult that welcomes the apocalypse, wanting everything to be completely obliterated.
He's as much of a piece of shit as the Duke.
You don't actually fucking think that the Seneschal was a good guy, do you?
>Using other peopels ENB's
There's your problem. Make your own to your own tastes.
she also leaves way before duchess in distress quest
it's funny, all the most popular waifus leave way before the beloved threshold point, which makes getting them as beloved a huge pain.
>mercedes leaves as soon as you end the rebellion quest
>jewtits leaves as soon as you end her chain of quests
>so does quina
>even duchess, though since she is the last to leave, and almost guaranteed to have maxed affection by the end of her quest, she is the most likely to be beloved
If you haven't given the arisens bond by the end game, you got no choice but to give it to some random girl because everyone else left
I made my Arisen look like Tyrion Lannister and I plan on making a christmas cake pawn. I just saw too many loli, shotas, browns, and shit to want to do anything like that.
Don't see any milfs, so why not?
>Perfect blocking Grigori's fireball
It sucks that I forgot to change from fire counter though
Works for me. If you're talking about mine open SweetFX.cfg and set
>#define Blend 0.10 //[0.00:1.00] //-How strong the effect sh
or whatever it's at to
#define Blend 0.2 //[0.00:1.00] //-How strong the effect sh
or higher, 0.3 etc. Or just tonemap +saturation but that's kind of gross.
no he wanted to destroy gransys because the duke and all of his subjects are pretty retarded wasting resources on celebrations then helping you and/or preparing to fight the dragon
hell the only time they lend you assistance is when you need to take over a fort they JUST lost, and the Griffin which was mostly volunteer forces
MK is literally a tank. Like a medieval battle tank.
>wears heavy armor
>has a massive shield
>deals decent melee damage
>deals absurd damage with appropriately elemental enhanced great cannon
It's fucking nuts
>see a bunch of snow harpies ahead
>enchant fire weapon
>start up great cannon
>start firing out fucking waves of fireballs that move at mach 5 and home
>one of the harpies manages to get to me
>deals 4 damage to me
He doesn't love her and he was in a mad trance at the moment. It would look bad to buy Masterworks while hearing:"Hear ye! Hear ye! The Duke had to kill the Arisen because he was cucked. His wife is expecting a child. Is it from the Duke? The Arisen? No one knows."
Better lay low with that shit.
>playing on hard mode for the first time
>have the goat and the snake part dead
>"man hard mode is pretty easy"
>lion 1-hko's me at full health
>play as sorcerer
>get stun locked while intoning
>change pawn inclination to scather/challenger
>archers wreck my aught
>get bastion and fortitude to raise defense
>still get tossed around like a wet paper bag
>casts high spellscreen
>get dropkicked by an ogre
>STAND MY FUCKING GROUND AND BURN THE FUCKER TO DEATH
High spellscreen basically makes you immune to stagger so you can pretty much cast grand world-ender at your leisure
Why the FUCK doesn't sorcerer have this and magick rebalancer for themselves? Or at least ruinous sigil to keep niggers off you
The Seneschal isn't a force of nature.
Every Seneschal throughout time has been a whiny little bitch who couldn't deal with watching over the eternal loop, so they decide to, just for funsies, send dragons into several links, making trillions of people suffer so they can find an arisen and they don't have to deal with it anymore. Why the fuck do you think you kill yourself to end the game? It's because it's the true end. You finally realize that the endless cycle of causing people to suffer is completely pointless. The world doesn't NEED a Seneschal.
That just means he's a dense fucking retard who doesn't realize that Salvation didn't just want Gransys destroyed, they wanted the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD destroyed.
Seems like we are using the same archer.
Yeah that's what you do and no. But if you got the newest one you need a reshade.dll named "d3d9.dll" though. I forgot to include it in v5, the other ones have it though.
>Find the Salvation quest
>talk to Mason
>tells me to seek them out
>find clue to go to catacombs
>catacombs fun as fuck, treasure, undead die easily to fire
>eventually get to the creepy guy making his speech
>he summons undead to kill everyone
>kill them, Mason says he has him cornered
>WTF wait Masons here?!?!
>Evil guy is like "b-but we made a deal"
>Mason says his all mine, kill him
>here the evil dude squel and squirm, but somethings not right, refuse to kill
>Mason has him killed, then refuses to talk to me now
FUCK, DID I FUCK UP?
>That just means he's a dense fucking retard who doesn't realize that Salvation didn't just want Gransys destroyed, they wanted the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD destroyed.
Or he realized a bunch of random shit eating peasants in black robes couldn't really do anything and Elysion is a bit of a bitch that can be stopped if need be.
How are you guys liking your loli/shota Arisen? I went with the balanced physique and even now it's annoying as fuck transferring materials to my huge pawn so I can keep my sprint speed/stamina. Probably won't get Sinew/Leg-strength 'til I can cheese the guards in the post game for easy vocation ranks.
>get Prescience, Alacrity and the other sorcerer boost for Magick, with the wyrmking's ring
>Grand Cannon x3
>Spam Antler Toss
>Undead dragon and his mate die in literal fucking seconds
>Never take damage because of Bastion & Fortitude or perfect blocks
It's a glorious glass man, so much fun. Taking
I'm level 18 and i have no idea where to go or level, i only got those kill quests but have no idea where to find any of those creatures. I tried behind the first encampment but the bandits there just doesn't die and some invisible salamander shits that also doesn't die in the gran soren place.
Do i need better gear? I only got the weapons from gran soren the smithy guy.
dude who made a dwarf named Ulfgar
i dont appreciate your klepto pawn teaching my impressionable pawn to frolic in the fucking town center fountain, over all this pawn has shown nothing but deviant behavior
Lets talk about the Holy enchantment and how it absolutely floors every other element.
>nothing in the game has holy resistance
>holy magic bolts are the fastest in the game
>holy magic bolts autotarget and are homing
>holy magic shield can heal a MK
Like, is there even any reason at all to use Dark enchantments?
>clarity doesnt have i-frames
>get interrupted by archers even though you successfully parry attacks
so when does the assassin get good?
>>casts high spellscreen
high spellscreen is amazing
if your defense is already gud you get to NO DAMAGE with even a special little metallic sound against enemies around your level
I'm playing as a hyperactive little shit that puts himself in way more trouble than he is worth and my pawn is a overprotective big sister that just tries to keep him alive.
shit is fun as fuck
Min height loli Warrior is painful sometimes with your default carry weight being at Medium, but it's so damn cute. I'll probably switch once I get enough RC to buy the infinite change item
Funnily enough, its opposite is complete and utter shit and most enemies resist it. I used this MK shield ability that adds some Dark buff to the weapon and it was fucking useless.
>Finally get to BBI
>Playing as Warrior
I think I understand what people are talking about with the class being bad here. It's so slow I can't avoid Maneaters instant kills unless I start moving before they cast, even random mooks can take multiple Arcs of Deliverance, it even takes 2 to sever a Saurians tail. What made me finally retreat was encountering my first Eliminator. Managed to get in an Arc right to the head, saw it fly through the air, then get right back up having only taken 1/4th of a healhbars worth of damage. Then it charged me and comboed for nearly 2k
r8 my arisen's outfit
i just spent most of my savings on caxton
your supposed to use a warrior's beefed up with augments normal attacks
warrior is not LOLUSE ARC, they have the best normals in the game while exoduis is very good as your defensive skill and spin2win as your best AOE
Stay away from the chest, charge up an Arc, order a pawn to open the chest when you're done charging, then fuck its shit up.
Sounds like your phys damage kinda sucks. Is your weapon good? I seem to remember eliminators being resistant to physical damage.
>never bothered to mod an ENB because muh shit rig
>never looked into sweetFX, always though it was a smaller ENB
>try one an anon posted here because why not
>removed the filter, slithly more colors, ever has a FPS boost
my happiness know no bounds, thank you anon, whoever you are
>shitty grafics.. its 2016 yet crysis from 2007 looks 10x better... WTF?
>too hard game
>you cant build ingame houses
>tfw missed lost and found because I was in a hurry to get to Gran Soren to change vocations and thought I can come back later
>now locked out of entire quest chain
I didn't even get to know the bandits everyone's bitching about.
So a couple of things
A) This game's fighting system is fucking top notch. I can't believe how much fun it is and how impactful your way of attacking actually is.
>just aimlessly shoot arrows in its general direction and use some meele skills here and there
>takes forever, eventually he drop kicks me dead
>take aim and carefully shoot his face everytime, climb his back, bring it to fall, continue whacking its face
>set up assasin firebombs right at his feet, he staggers and falls down again
What earlier took me several minutes could be done in 30 seconds using the exact same character.
B) Can't decide if I should make my pawn slutty or not. Do people actually hire slut pawns? I mean most gentlemen of /v/ probably won't but what about the vast majority of players out there? Any console player has some anecdotal evidenve for this? Normal/realistically equipped pawn vs slutwhore. Which did get rented more often?
Might as well be a fighter
Frigor can be pretty useful as a staff-user, since its an AoE freeze for tight situations, but other than that, the only spell you only ever really need throughout the game is Holy Focused Bolt.
>want to make a necromancer/dark themed Sorc/MK
>tons of enemies has Dark resistance
>80% of the magic bolts hit terrain when fired
>the rest are too fucking slow to even reach enemies
>that old fuck
Fuck that escort quest, I had no fucking idea how to get to wherever castle he wanted to go and ended up going through the mines to the north, had to kill a fucking giant while doing shit damage to it so the fight lasted 30 minutes while that old fuck was constantly near me so he could have been killed instantly at any time.
You can always fight the bandits a bunch of shitters complain about. They are outside of witchwood during the day
If the Cyclops has a club you can set his hand on fire and he'll drop the club. If you shoot him in the eye it sends him into a blind rage where he won't focus on anyone
I beat the game on ps3 once and got the duchess as waifu. Now, I'm trying to plan optimum waifu maneuvers. Can anyone tell me if this is gonna work:
>Avoid starting bad business until finish duchess in distress (which maxes afinity with duchess)
>start bad business and finish it (which maxes affinity with jewtits
>Go to the endgame, at which point since my last maxed afinity was jewtits, it should set her as my waifu
Lighter characters can carry less, meaning that their weight bar fills up faster than a heavy character, meaning they can't carry fucking anything before becoming overweight. Smaller characters are also more susceptible to knockdowns and heavier characters are better at weighing enemies down in flight.
WHAT THE FUCK
THIS MASSIVE GRIFFON CAME DOWN AND SWOOPED ON ME AND THESE GOBLINS THEN FLEW AWAY
yes, a lot actually, characters that are shorter and weigh less have less carry capacity, can fit in tiny holes, can get pushed by wind easier/get carried off by monsters.
Bigger characters can weigh down monsters more when they mount them etc.
nigga buffs get dispelled when you unequip shit
good thing crackdown is shield buffs
>fighting cyclop wearing helmet
How the fuck do I remove their helmet properly with this class? None of the spells I got, High Comestation, High Gicel or such penetrate that defense properly.
i was quite proud of my qt
They all inject shaders into a game but they're different.
ENB = per-game shader framework that's closed source. some shader wizards make shader suites for it and typically the games ENB supports look a lot better with said wizards mods. advanced stuff.
SweetFX = shader overlay basically, really basic and works with practically any dx9/dx11 game
Reshade = similar in function to reshade but it's infinitely more open and user-friendly, works with 99.999% games of any API and is almost as advanced as ENB.
problem is all the popular waifus, due to quests, leave before grigori
so you gotta max the one you want and make sure you don't max anyone else after they leave.
Like, if you max she-goats, and then do the duchess in distress, game will see "last maxed: duchess then duchess=waifu" and you're fucked, 100 cloudwines down the drain
and if you don't do duchess in distress, you get locked out from a few seekers tokens needed to complete "from another sky" quest
Can you buff Kunais? Dont have them yet, but i read that they do Dark damage and im not sure if they stack.
Not sure how my glass cannon can fare being that close, but I'll try this next time.
Got thunder spells, but after killing everything, like chimeras, griffons and such in seconds, it feels weird how long it takes me to kill a cyclop.
yes, hold on to their neck, just out of reach of their grasp and they will pull their helmet off without grabbing you. Obviously, if you're on their head while they grab for you, they get both you and the helmet, which will probably get you killed or munched pretty hard.
>Come across the women-only keep
>Kill every last one of them since they won't let me pass
>They all die almost instantly
Feels fucking great man.
Using the warhammer you get from the dragon. Overall I have around 1400 strength.
On anything bigger than human sized enemies the regular attack deals no damage. Using Exodus or jumping normal attacks on pyre saurians did more damage to me then them so Arc was a safer option.
>make the cutest main character ever
>suddenly face animations
>the lady bandits are less dangerous then the dude bandits
mfw f to fire
mfw i set f to inventory
mfw dont want to change menu button
mfw firing then closing inventory over and over again
I can't decide if she should be a strider or fighter, she's great as both
>mfw annihilating monsters and stuntin' on niggas while doing it
>lady bandits are massive whores wearing revealing clothing
Why do they do this, if they hate men?
girls dressup to impress other girls, not men
also lesbians, they're all lesbians there
now that I think about it, I think I'm gonna make the bandit leader my waifu
I'm curious if she'll attack me when she moves to cassardis and sees me not wearing ladies clothing
>female arisen with all male party
>knocked to ground
>ogre charging at you
>just remembered last save was 2 hours ago
>get to fembandit camp because escorting that suicidal prick
>just try to waltz in an open their gate
>see their leader, decide to ask what's up, and see if she was cool with me opening her gate and all
>no dialogue, immediately snaps into combat without warning and everyone starts smacking me
I always bait my pawn, she never seems to die.
Either go do some quests or you can go to Soulflayer canyon and get a triple toothed hammer from there. I've gotten it from a chest there many times and it should be the strongest warrior weapon until you have to face Grigori.
>get some awesome kind of throwing net for crowdcontrolling enemies
>it literally only works on the smallest of goblins, everyone else, human fighters, saurians, skeltals etc just ignore it and laugh at me wasting my stamina
wew. Is there a list out there with skills to NOT get? Everyone knows the good ones, Bolides for Sorcerors, Skullsplitter for Striders, Arc of Deliverence for Warrior etc.. but what are the shitty ones you should avoid like the plague?
>human fighters, saurians, skeltals etc just ignore it
what, that's bullshit, the net skills works great on anything not giant
wait, are you playing on hard mode? Because net skill does stagger, and hardmode fucks up stagger
either way, if you cast it twice in a row it should work
I taught my pawn to web bandits and skullsplitter their asses, and it works like a charm.
I'm an autist who plans out like 8 quests at once,
>On the way to deliver X ill stop by witchwood and finish quest B then to cassardis through the well to do that quest then over to..
i always end up with no items dying and losing hours of progress because i never think to save until im falling 500 feet off a griffin
>I really hope mods can bring multiple save states in this game
It's PC, you can get around this already without mods. Just move your save out and put the other save you want back in.
Oh you're playing hard for the first 3 hours then stupidly easy mode, ok.
Good job challenging yourself
>WRPG devs get caught up in making a good story, world,
You mean just rip Tolkien's shit shamelessly and change the names?
This feels like some kind of political satire.
No, some skills are considered "Sword" or "Daggers"
i.e Full Moon Slash can be used by M.Knights, Fighters and Assassins.
Dragon's Maw is Fighter Only, Sky Rapture is M.Knight only etc.
>get to post game
>higher 3 fighter/warrior pawns
>stand on the church wall as the guards attack you
>afk while your pawns slaughter the guards since they only focus the arisen.
>come back like 2-3 hours later and have a fully maxed out vocation
That's how i did it on the PS3 version I got up to around level 110ish by the end of it. Easiest way to get experience, DP and vocation levels
to expand on that, kill everything, small easy things preferred. goblins, skeletons, saurians etc. is more effective than going out of your way and kill one big enemy like the drake
theres an icon on the bottom left of the skill descrition that indicates if its a class exclusive skill
if it doesnt have an icon on it
it means all sword users can use it if it is learned
Final Battle time. Wish me luck. I hope my High Maelstrom wrecks Grigori a new one.
like, the way the skill works is by massively staggering enemies, with a big pull in your direction. And all enemies have an innate "stagger value" or whatever that gets buffed as hell in hard mode. But if you hit the enemies a bit, to the point where they start to "feel" your hits, then webbing should work.
You could also just spam web until they fall down, which should also work
do you not like fat juicy gold bags filled with 10k gold every other time you kill an enemy? what are you, a faggot? i bet you didn't even escort jewtits you piece of subhuman communist bum
>kill grigori with ease
>kill wyrms with ease
>a fucking pre-dragon drake gives me tons of trouble
I will never understand
What's even worse is that Valkyria Chronicles is not even an RPG, it's more of an strategy game with visual novel bundled in. Whoever made that pic needs to get a grip of reality.
>play Into Free during the griffin fight at the tower
>guitar kicks in as grimoire guy appears
>vocals as gameplay starts again
>THE WIND IS PUSHING ME as I ride the flaming griffin as it crashes down to its death
This is a good game
Before you have any defenses really.
Dragon's Dogma always had some spiky difficulty, Hard Mode mostly just draws those lines deeper. You'll level a lot faster but difficulty will still spike later.
>first time playing
>I made a forgery and gave the fake to him
>mfw he appeared there to "help"
This should have been obvious ever since Dark Souls was released. Western devs don't know how to make games with good gameplay, they care way too much about story, characters and political agenda to spend their time developing a decent combat or even a creative world.
i have a lot of party heals thanks to having a warpstone thing near a spring fountain
>great fun with daggers, thousand kisses just wrecks
>try out sword
>fall in love
god damnit, first of all, sword animations look so much better than dagger, also those skills m8. I'm just so sad I can't double jump or roll on the ground with the sword. fuck me, but here's another one for bow/sword assassin master race
sword fighters have more aoe
and they have access to defense buffs from shield skills
sword assassins have less aoe but more single target focus
they have access to parries so they can skip shields and wear bows instead
they have access to damage buffs from their shield skills
A lot actually.
The main differences you'll feel are what you miss out on.
Assassins don't get Dragon's Maw or Soul Skewer. I believe they don't get Sheltered Spike either but that's a pretty shit skill. They don't get Perfect Defense or that defense buff either.
The main reasons to go Sword and Shield Assassin:
Dire Gouge (Fun as hell), Clairvoyance and Staredown.
You can also swap out Blink Strike for another sword skill and use Swift Castle instead (Dashes forward with the shield up)
My problem is not that its not effective - but fuckboring to play, I can literallystand still and tenfold into anythings face endlessly as I eat 10kg of fresh meat
when I was strider I gone around combining shanking and arrows a lot but this is too slow for that, plus missing some nice skills
IT would feel better I guess if normal arrows didn't feel like mosquito bites against large enemies
I'm loving the game so far! It's like I'm able to play in a world that has the same inhospitality and dread as the one in the manga Berserk. It's amazing. First time playing it too and I picked hard, which I don't regret. It's kind of frustrating at first, since you're thrown into the world without much explanation and mosf of the things kill you in 1-2 blows, but you learn to love the pain. I just wish you could run around with more stamina, because otherwise you are kind of forced to teleport around, if the location is far away from you and you just need to finish a quest or something. I've only done that once though, so I guess it's not that bad.
I have a couple of questions though. First of all, I can't find the screenshot folder of the game. It's supposed to be in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\CAPCOM\Dragon's Dogma Online\ScreenShot. but my folder has only one file and it's the config file. Second question is - How do you fix the audio? It's way too fucking low, and switching Stereo to ON in the config file doesn't change a thing. And finally, there was a link about all the quests you could potentially miss if going too far into the main storyline; can someone link it to me?
Anyways, lovely game. I love the pawn system. I might be one of the minority of people who hate playing by myself in singleplayer games like this one. Too bad my PC is a total potato, so I can't experience the full 60 fps experience.
A total cutie. Don't listen to the haters.
>Why would a gameplay oriented game induce the sudden rise of story oriented games?
Are you retarded?Where did I implied that?I just said that Western devs didn't knew how to make games with good gameplay or with a creative world.
you might just be too low level, ranger is all about the mixup. You run in do some slashes then when your on the other side of the enemies you shoot them.
It started out slow for me, but it picks up when I get the fast loose augment and I learned how to fire normal arrows.
Tell me where to find some good greatswords. I know you can get an OP one from an escort quest but it looks like some ugly high-fantasy trash.
>tfw we'll never get the game that Itsuno and his team envisioned
>no literally infinite dungeon taking you through multiple universes
>no massive, sprawling landscape with stuff everywhere
The shit that could've happened if Itsuno had more money and time, it's somewhat disappointing.
strider has better dedicated bow and dagger skills and can climb large monsters more effectively
other than min-maxing theres literally no reason to play assassin. unless you're having a very hard time choosing between warrior and strider and dont mind playing a shit version of both
but yet the western trash outsells it 5 to 1 anon.
We can't win in this gay earth full of retard minds. You only need look at the negative reviews of this game from 1 hour or less played morons claiming it sucks and Skyrtm is better. And they aren't trolls, they mean it.
>add some /v/ people from all the hype threads to exchange pawns
>pawn system is broken, never know if my pawn is being used or not
>since it's /v/ goers, we're both too autistic to start up a conversation on steam
>I will never know if my pawn helped anyone or if I raised it good
fix your shit already crapcom, this is the reason I bought the game, to whore out my pawn and see the results of it
>literally infinite dungeon
Would you really want such a copy/paste fest?
>implying Capcom will let that happen
They won't even let Itsuno make DMC5. Capcom doesn't give a shit about it's actually good properties.
Of fucking course he does. Kamiya also wants to make Okami 2, and even though it would make a fucking fantastic game, I know it won't happen.
Procedurally generated shit.
It's mostly to go with the theme of the game's story.
youll miss out on other augments and your stat gain per lvl changes after lvl 10
fighter still has pretty solid skills and augments though
if you want an "upgraded" fighter go for magic knight or assassin
MKs have spellcasting and bigger shields
assassin lets you use more weapons
Unless I remember wrongly the deal does not automatically make you the duke, he could still thwart your efforts once the fire breathing scaly angel of doom went back to fucking off in his pocket dimension. Said scaly angel being bad for business, so he actually hopes you succeed in reaching the dragon.
It was not only a matter of money and time. Look at how DD performs on console. The hardware they were aiming for simply couldn't deal with the game Itsuno envisioned. This is why i say DD was ahead of it's time. It was too ambitious to that particular moment in time and the circuntances that surrounded it.
The best way to build a fighter is to have them level as Warriors for a long time. Lots of HP and attack, plus the best Augments. You want them to max Warrior rank for Clout at least.
in the current state of the game it would be bad, because we'd gain nothing from it
but imagine a dungeon, every tier you have bigger bosses
imagine fighting several deaths at once while armies of living armors try to run you out
Dumb question, but I just started playing.
How do I block?
I heard somewhere that you can do such things as "perfect" blocks, but the only time I get the guy to raise his shield is when I want to use shield-skills.
