Fistful of Frags
Unfortunately that's only because most of the fanbase is people attracted by the fact that the game is 100% free
which includes children and other people who haven't touched an fps before.
I don't even get it, it's not competitive but I always have the most kills in the end no matter what happens. I was AFK for two whole rounds once and still managed to be on top.
>you will never be good at video games
I 100% it in an afternoon at least once every Summer/Mid year break. I can hum every song and have every secret completly memorised.
I dont know, it just sorta clicked with me. I'm thinking of breaking the world record for it someday.
I have a couple
TF2 (I run a team and have 3000 plus hours)
Guitar Hero/Rockband (Can do every single song on guitar expert and most on drums expert)
Mario Kart Wii
Nazi Zombies (highest wave is 52 solo, 48 co-op)
I tend to get super into a couple games and play them for years over and over and just play a couple new ones here and there.
Euro Truck Simulator 2. Gotta go fast.
And maybe MW2. I rocked these things so hard, I don't understand why not many people used them. That damage, range, fire rate, sound, it was so good. Didn't even need steady aim.
I was a god in warframe, be it PvE or barely existant PvP. Nobody could match me, but it all ended with me deleting the game thanks to wonderful devs fucking the lore so hard that I had no excuse to push through grind anymore and felt a bit betrayed, given that I pretty much was part of the community that built the game from the beginning of open beta.
I mean come on, fucking stephen hawking pro skate powersuit, fuck you too DE!
Megaman zero series.
Got bored in college and started s ranking every game between classes.
None. I'm bad at everything I do. Literally. There is nothing I consider myself good at, and I fail at almost everything that I attempt.
I thought the tennis kids were a great entry to the lore. I mean, they been written a long time coming, you must not have been paying attention. I saw it coming way back in ember primes codex entry.
Admittidly I think they all look like fetal alcohol babies and i rage every time the speak. But poor execution aside, they were still really cool, lore wise.
Tony hawk games
>tfw the franchise is fucking dead thanks to incompetent devs and a horrible publisher
No sunny, I mean beating performance wise everybody using not flavour of the month gear but the one I felt good with, having superior aim and clearing stuff out faster than anybody else. It felt like I was a fucking blender. Don't bring everything to the stats, that's not all there is to it.
I have a couple games were im real good but im nowhere near a pro
im just way better than my friends
TTT tho i lost a lot since i havent played in years
mario kart doubledash bomb-omb versus
Yoshi's Island. I'm not like an autistic speedrunner or anything but every once in a while I like to play it to 100% and I use a lot of speedrun tricks. I think my best time is about 6 or 7 hours but if I actually tried I could do it a lot faster.
Don't kid yourself, I have 900 hours in the game. It's a game with mouse controls and potato AI. You either shoot the weak spots or you dont.
You're delusional if you think clearing enemies faster makes you better. If someone has a better weapon and frame than you, they are faster, period. Comparing yourself to casual played in a grind fest mmo means jack shit.
You're good at grinding. Killing stuff faster and more effeciently just means you're better at grinding. There is no skill in warframe. You already uninstalled, just admit it and let it go.
> started playing
> room full of enemies rook me around a minute to kill, I rjought I was god.
> random player joins, platnium buying faggot clears entire level in 2 minutes
I can and have beat pic related in a single sitting on Professional difficulty while passing every level with the SA rating.
I also consider taking more than 3 minutes to finish the majority of missions to be unacceptable.
To be fair that's pretty eas-
>I also consider taking more than 3 minutes to finish the majority of missions to be unacceptable.
Scratch that, that's pretty good mate.
Blood Money is the easiest Hitman game for Professional difficulty but being able to nail levels in that sort of time is pretty impressive anon.
How do you manage times like that on the boat mission and Amendment XIV?
I think I'm pretty good at this chinese circle clicker game, been playing it for a few years.
Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm
Been in a few tournaments for it
never made it to finals or anything like that but I've held my own against the best. I once took out the whole enemy team with a katana in tournament play.
I like to think I'm a crackshot with the mosin and kar 98 at hip firing
i helped people platinum gta4 and always had the highest score in co-op shit in both gta and rdr.
max score in all merc maps in resident evil 4 and 5. can finish the games with no upgrades, no heals, no deaths, no problem
i'm also fairly good in most games i play because i autistically play them for hundreds of hours before i get tired/move on to a new game. i can spend a year playing only 2-3 games
I made it into the 2nd tier of Awesomenauts like 2 years ago when I spammed the game doing meme combos with my friend. This is the highest I've ever gotten percentile wise in a videogame.
What an achivment baka
Pro cs 1.6 player
Q3 and UT Player coming through
Was somewhat in the BF2 fence but it didn't pan out big enough.
Still playing some shitty new FPS and scrubbing the floor with everyone, cheaters included.
Payed my first PC with the winings of one lan, parents pc was shit.
Single player: Jet Set Radio
JET on every level, I played that game a lot.
Multiplayer: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
I got people into it back in college. When I went back to visit I played someone I hadn't met. After a match and a half he threw the controller down and yelled "FUCK THIS!"
It was amazing.
Counter strike source. I have CSGO, but I don't care for it. I've played CS since 1.6 and got gud when CSS came out and I've played that ever since. The competition on CSS is better too since everyone else went to CSGO. Only experts plays source now and I can still manage to be first place in almost any server.
In DOTM, There's a terrain glitch that allows you to jump down to the escape boat from the top floor. Combine that with a silenced weapon and ensure that you get shot at to frighten the caterers and you should beat it in around 2 minutes 30.
As for Amendment XIV, lure a Marine into the bathroom at the start by dropping a mine in it, take his outfit and fiber wire the VP in his office (he won't be found there). Afterwards, plant mines on the window of the Oval Office and then detonate them as Parchezzi passes it. I'm still trying to get the timing down on that last part.
Every mission can be finished in less than 3 minutes with the exception of Flatline, A House of Cards, A Dance With the Devil and Death of a Showman.
NCAA Football 11-14
>too good so friends stop playing me
>go to party
>bros would be playing
>my friends tell them I'm pretty good
>they challenge me
>mfw I'm up 28-0 in the first quarter
It's a shame the series is dead
the last of us multiplayer
its gotten to the point where I don't play anymore because I'm just bored of wrecking people with any weapon or loadout
I even mix it up sometimes like having an only 9mm pistol with no perks loadout but I still fuck people up
I'm totally shit at all call of duty's too which is weird
Right now it's Black Ops III. Fuckin' 30 kills on average per 100 kill TDM match.
Pac-Man 2 the New Adventures for Genesis.
There's an SNES version but the soundtrack is a little different and the game has one key change in it. I actually recently beat the current posted record for the game, but I don't have a way of recording straight off my Genesis. The game is a pile of dogshit and no one should play it by the way. I only picked it up for speedrunning because as a kid I could never beat it.
>tfw I can't ride a skateboard to save my life irl but completely dominated the Skate games
I wish they'd make another
>out of pure boredom a few years ago actually start up Half-life 2 deathmatch
>Go into a server
>Become whirling god of death killing 20+ people with shotguns, crossbows, rocket launchers, you name it, without dying
>People say I'm cheating and ban me from the server
>Happens two more times
>Lose interest and uninstall, never touching it again
It was really fucking weird since I don't take myself to be good at FPS's.
This game was so garbage, but I was amazingly good at it. I don't even know why I played it, but I dominated every game I was in. I used all the default equipment even when the pay2win shit was introduced and still destroyed people. It's been years, but I remember my combo I used to use that people thought was unoptimized or whatever bullshit. Activate speed boost to lag dodge bullets, throw a powder keg, use the rocket launcher on the keg to launch them like 20 feet into the sky, and gun them down while they also take fall damage if they manage to live that long. I was a real monster.
This must be some monkey's paw sort of thing where I wish to be good at games but I'm only great at Battlefield Heroes.
>What game are you the best at?
>you're just shitting on people worse than you in FPS'
>all your favourite 2D side-scrollers have been banged the fuck repeatedly up by some really dedicated guy
>you just grind more in RPGs
>you just spend more time in MMOs
>game is easy enough for anyone to master
>cant into any Fighting
I was good at Mirror's Edge. Not world-class-speedrunner good, but I managed to clock in top 100 on all the leaderboards.
Generally though I guess I'm just mediocre at games. I can't think of anything else I stand out in.
>tfw online legend races and overall I'm always first
I used to dominate in Uncharted 2 for some reason. I'm usually pretty average at shooters but nothing could go against my grenade game in Uncharted 2. That multiplayer was one of the most pleasant surprises I've experienced in gaming.
I managed to get #1 on one of the map leaderboards on XBL near release, after 6 hours worth of tries. I was quite proud of that, but undoubtedly someone wrecked my time the next day.
Killing Floor for multiplayer.
Tetris for singleplayer.
Halo is my pick up game, I can always do great with any entry at any time. Anyone else got a game they can pickup after years of not playing and still do well in the first match?
also, an addendum
>mobas are way too reliant on teammates
>never have enough APM for competitive RTSs
>single-player games: who cares?
I guess my game is RE4 or something. I haven't made a concentrated effort to make a game my bitch in a long time. But it's either that or Metroid Fusion. I could beat that game in around 2:30h-3:00h when I was a kid.
It's been a long time, but I vividly getting all the 300 cars
Also both Dead Space 1 & 2. Haven't played 3 so no opinion.
And Driv3r but mostly because nobody played that.
I used to be really good at Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. All golds, baby. I'm glad it's emulating well now. I should learn to speedrun that.
Right now it's probably Dirty Bomb, and even then I'm just okay at it.
either this weeb game (i can get pretty decent scores on 43s) or mw2 because of the absurd amount of time I put into that game
I'm so good at it. Well to be fair, it's pretty easy anyway
Soulcalibur 4. I think that I may have legitimately been the best person in the world at that game. About a year after it was released I stopped losing to anyone at all ever. I sort of just stopped playing it. Who /amy/ here?
Tetris attack/panel de pon
I know i ain't shit compared to people you see on the internet, but my friends and family no longer offer any opposition and no one will play against me anymore
Tennis for the original Game Boy. I beat that game on level 4 without losing a single
Pretty much any FPS I play longer than a month. The majority of them have very low skill ceilings and a great deal of players suck dick, turning what is just simple situational awareness and competent aiming into the skills of a legendary Hollywood war hero.
The need for high apm in competetive rts games is a myth though. I made it comfortable to platinum in Sc2 with 70 apm. Similar with games like Dawn of War, Age of Empires etc. you name it.
Most people just don´t want to grind to the point where they get good mechanics...nothing wrong with that. But don´t try to deny it.
The best way to beat it is to lure and kill Schmutz in the women's bathroom, strangle the Scientist in the elevator, distract the guards escorting the Sheikh by holding the coin up in front of them and then snapping the Sheikh's neck on the stairs.
I have the issue that I lack devotion. Like I play smash every now and then and I massacre all my friends to the point where I have go easy on them significantly just to make them not rage, even when they own the game and I don't. So I start playing with these tourney fags right, and I can beat most of them for the most part on all the mechanical stuff and timing and such, like i just have a knack for it, but they all do these long strung out combo type moves where they lock your shit down really hard. I don't care enough to take the time to learn that kind of stuff, so I can't legitimately compete. To actually be competitive I'd have to get a Wii U and practice the moves and look stuff up online and such, and that just seems gay.
I'd say monster Hunter, but the moment I stop using GS or IG in 4U, and Grongigas or GS in 3U my skill level drops so quick it scares me.
For some reason, Halo: Reach.
I'm not even good at other Halo's, hell, I don't even LIKE Halo, not anymore anyway. But I sunk so much time into the game, I got multiple perfections. Never used Armor Lock in my life, neither, and my most used weapon is the pistol.
Other notable games;
Best Raven I have ever seen, is me. And I'm not one of the fuckers who spammed the crush grab neither, I had multiple combo strings, including a couple in Raven's demon form which nobody else ever fucking uses correctly.
>Gen 2 of Pokémon
Sunk a shitton of time into it as a kid, found a bunch of secret areas without guides, found a Shiny and unlike other kids, didn't freak out thinking my game was broken, ect, ect. Almost completed the Dex single-handedly. Currently replaying HeartGold for like the 4th time.
I put nearly 2000 hours into this game through hunting shinies. Yeah. I know.
Spent all summer getting all of those perma-upgrades on the guns that most people don't even know about. (Basically, by getting certain medals, you could get temporarily upgraded weapons that were OP as fuck. By grinding these medals, you could unlock them permanently and start games with them)
This too. Was a pro at it up until the end of BO1. BO2 was shit, I couldn't give enough of a fuck about it.
But I did all of the Easter Egg quests up until Buried.
In terms of high rounds though, only thing stopping me from playing forever was time. Got to 58 on Ascension, 44 on Kino, 28 on Moon (Rounds take fucking FOREVER on Moon because of the zero-g, so this is higher than you would think. Probably took me longer than Kino)
I made master tier in league after playing about 500 games grand total (ranked and unranked). It took me about 200 to get to level 30, and then I started playing ranked immediately because all my faggot friends say that I just ks or play the easy champs or whatever to discredit me when I do good, because they have all been playing longer than me and feel shitty when I upstage them. I played ranked until I got to essentially the highest obtainable rank and I did it in like 4 months. To be fair though I played a lot of competitive star-craft in high school so I kind of have a background in strategy type gaming and some ability to apm.
>he was a gunner
>not a sneaky commando
You little Commando fucker piece of garbage. Don't think I don't remember your scum of the Earth kind. You would be better off rotting in the ground so at least you'd be helping some plants grow. Have you looked into a mirror lately? You're an abomination who doesn't deserve to live among us.
But yeah, Commandos are okay.
M&B: Warband + Napoleanic wars
Sad to say I was in one of the best Aus regiments back in the day
>mfw I failed high school for nw
I still remember how masochistic it was to play as a commando during the later days of BF:Heroes, because of all the buffs that Soldiers and Gunners got. Shit was tense at times.
Pinball is my thing. Whenever there's a real table people always gather around me to have a good time.
It's like the ball goes
most of the timewhere I want it and I've learned to nudge the table efficiently without causing tilt. It's really thrilling to be able to keep multiball in control. With all the lights flashing, dot matrix display going nuts and the loud noise informing I've got a freebie. It's freaking amazing.
I've been studying fixing Pinball tables for five years now and my friend holds a Pinball museum here in the city where I live in. We've got a pretty solid community there and we hold events twice in a month.
It's saddening to see real tables disappear from movie theaters and pubs. While I despise most of the video game Pinballs although they can be good fun, I've found love with Pinball FX and Pinball Arcade. With customizable settings and a proper controller, they offer pretty good past time.
Nothing like a real thing though. Hand crafted, with moving figurines, pretty lights etc. They're work of art.
Rare/Free Radical, Remedy and Fifa.
Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Timesplitters I'll dominate on. It's one set of franchises I wish I got the opportunity to play online.
Max Payne I love so I played the shit out of 1 & 2. To some extent that helps me a lot in TPS in general but particularly Alan Wake was a cakewalk at times.
I'll beat all my friends at Fifa, but in reality I'm a div 3 shitter.
I've got four: Devil May Cry 3, R-Type Delta, Mega Man X4 and Bloodborne.
I can beat all 20 missions of Devil May Cry 3 on S-Rank. Only with Rebellion and Beowulf though. I suck ass with Nevan and Cerberus. I'm pretty decent with Agni & Rudra. I'm currently learning how to do perfect Royal Guard blocks. That will probably take me at least 100 hours to do, since doing perfect RG blocks is probably the hardest thing you can ever do in DMC3, aside from perhaps beating each boss without ever touching the ground. Been playing this game since 2006 and I still feel like I'm only a mid-level player compared to those ultra-insane combo video makers.
I can 1cc R-Type Delta. Been playing that game since I was a young teen playing my PS1. It was my first shmup. It's still got my favorite shmup plane of all time: The R-13A Cerberus.
I can do no-death runs of Mega Man X4 with both X (even without armor) and Zero. It was one of my first PS1 games and remains to this day my favorite MMX game, even though it probably is among the easier MMX games. I plan to do a no-damage run one day.
I can beat all Bloodborne bosses without dying once. Some bosses I can beat without ever taking damage. I've done BL4 runs up on NG and NG+. I'm planning to be a casual speedrunner of that game. I still cannot do no-damage runs yet though (not just the bosses, but the entire game itself), although I plan to do so in the future.
Oblivion used to be my game. With around 2000 hours put into it.
But now I haven't played it in years. Guess I don't really have a game anymore..
>tfw doomed to forever just be better than average.
Atleast I can be the line that separates the shitters from the good players.
This. Fucking this. I was in the .1% of CSS competitive (CEVO), I've been playing CSGO from the start, but I was never near the level I attained in CSS. I could 1deag awpers from anywhere on any map, never needed anything more, but still bought scout for dat dere speed.
fortunately CSGO is getting shittier by the patch and soon only skinnes will keep it on life support - so bad Valve won't even step up their anti-cheat game against blatant "pro's"
CSS. Specifically GunGame 5.1 which doesn't exist anymore. All the servers are gay as fuck Turbo or DMs now.
yet the better deag master always won, now you got "first shot inaccuracy™" that can potentially fuck you over, even if you were PERFECTLY on point, and to put salt on an open wound recent patch fucked up spraying on all rifles because shitters were getting BTFO because they're shit at spraying/never practiced sprays, further lowering an already low skill ceiling.
I'll admit I was never the best at 1.6, but I found my niche in CSS, which at this point is far more skill investing than CS:RNG
don't act like piggie wasn't blatant as shit the past couple games
or crackhouse, can't forget crackhouse
First shot inaccuracy has been in the game since 1.6. Also, the rifle changes were reverted.
Counter-Strike has always been an RNG game that some sect of people take way too seriously. Personally, I mostly played Nippermaps back in the day along with surf and shit.
There's something about the weapon handling that just ... sits right with my brain. It's incredibly satisfying to take your time and single-shot a guy who is panicking and spamming full auto at you and kill him.
There's something deeply satisfying about walking up behind a squad and executing the SL with a single shot to the head, and then the rest with body shots.
It's ... a crazy amount of fun.
Unreal Gold, the only shooter online i actually got really good at. Unreal Tournament as well.
Every other shooter feels like there's too much blur and colors going on for me to be able to focus. Later battlefield games are a good example of this.
GTA3 and RE4. Played them for a decade straight until I got a PS3 in 2013.
haven't played in a while tho
Used to be really good at playing the SSX games. And then the 2012 edition ruined everything
It's been some time since anybody gave me a good match in Doom. It's gotten to the point where I can't even get games out of my good friends. It hurts, I just want to be a good opponent but everybody treats me like an angry god.
Day of Defeat.
Too bad it died long ago, i remember it's last days it was a sad long withering death.
Now you can find a few servers spread here and there in different countries, the once shitty players back in the old days are now the admins and the "Best" players, and just like back then they are still shit and whats worse they get offended when you humiliate them.
it still breaks my heart.
Depends a lot on the maps, in the most popular ones that happens a lot sadly, you can work around it if you know what you are doing.
sadly the best maps where never too popular because you took more time to find enemies and granade spam did not work.
but when you did find a server when people knew what the hell they were doing and had a good variety of maps then the game was great
I am a god in stealth games.
Especially the complete thief series and currently the most difficult and the purest of all stealth games (you probably never heard of it):
The Dark Mod
In that game I play at the highest difficulty setting IN IRONMAN MODE.
and love at the same timeto get spooked by the spooky horror missions in that game, I play those too.
Gives me an adrelanine rush as well.
But yeah, I'm bretty good at stealth games. :DD
I understand I missed the heyday and in the past there were probably a ton of cool custom maps, like all source games
I also think the weapons could use a rebalancing too.
>Kar98 1shots in the gut seems silly
>the c98 outclasses the MP40 and Thompson
>M1 Garand should totally be allowed to reload considering it can't 1shot
I'm told DoD was alot better than DoD:S
This .webm might not show it, but I'm getting way better at Rainbow Six Siege.
Back when UT2003 was in the demo states no matter what I was always on top of the scorecard at the end of the game.
I don't think I've experienced that same success since then.
I wasted all my years in this game and if I have to bet my life it would be a match of this game.
Dmc3 is my game too.
I'm not trying to be an elitist douche but you said you got all s rank, that was dante must die mode right? Ranking actually goes up to ss too.
No shame in Reb+Beo those are the strongest weapons damage wise. Though there are a few places where the other 3 are more useful.
Yeah RG is by far the most useful style heres a tip if you use RG to guard something while you have invincibility frames its an automatic perfect guard. You have i frames when rolling or jumping so when you use rg while rolling or jumping against an attack its a auto perfect guard every time. It's because when you have i frames the game extends the window for a perfect guard.
Warthunder. Between 2.7 and 3.3 BR with planes, I fucking destroy people. Below that I do well too but isn't as fun for me. Above that, the American planes go to shit and I can't be arsed to push through the 2-4 it was till you get good planes again.
Meh, weapons were just fine, since you could 1 shot with every weapon it was just a matter of what weapon felt better to you
the garand was a one shot kill on the stomach and the head but anyway the no reload was really irrelevant you could just shoot the wall a couple of times and that was it, its not like you were going to run out of ammo at any time.
the only weapon that needed rebalancing was the rocket launchers consedering a direct shot from one didn't kill you (unless you aimed at the roof and it will kill everyone in the room)
BF4 sadly even though I have a .59kd it's still the one I do best at.
You don't want to know how well I do at other games. I started playing WoW a long time ago because i better at it than I was any fps. Still wasn't very good though and never got to raid with the guild.
Gaylo, started playing with 9 and never stopped
Was by my side pretty much my entire adolescence, so I always was on top
Unbeaten in doubles with my brother
I still play from time to time
I only ever really played Americans. The biggest thing is know your strengths. Except for one or two planes(the F6F), US fighters can't turn for fucking shit. This means you strafe targets. Get some altitude, pick a target and dive. Preferably from behind so you can follow for longer. If you miss the kill and they're not critically damaged KEEP FUCKING FLYING STRAIGHT. DO NOT TURN DO NOT PASS GO. Literally fucking everything can out turn you and will get on your ass and wreck your shit. Know what they can't do? Chase your ass down when you're flying at 400MPH out of a dive. Also, learn to lead without the bubble. It's a good indicator but it's an estimate. Learn where your shots are really going and use stealth ammo. You have only .50's on most of the planes. They're machine guns, use them like they are. Saturation of fire is important, hit anything and everything you can and upgrade your gunner shit so they reload quickly and don't overheat. I'm regularly top 3 95% of my games and MVP a good 30%.
Place in a real tourney or bust
>I took kagethewarrior down to 1 stock and 2 stocked fatgoku
They might've not played for real, I sandbag and experiment a lot too
>best melee player on 4chan
>people criticize updates
>i'm gonna stop updating the game then
Getting onto Steam must have taken a toll on R_Yell, he was pretty chill back when I played the mod.
I had a PVP level of 34 at one point with my Dainn
God damn that game's the most fun I've ever had
I still have all-time destruction records on various streets, unbroken, since years.
It's amazing how people are still playing it like mad on PS3. The servers were full this summer.
Some more shit as I think of it.
>fancy flying gets you killed
>I have never seen fucking anyone escape anything with an immelman or any other crazy maneuver in nearly 300 hours of play
>bombers are always a safe bet if you know their blindspots
>B25's however will wreck your shit if you give them a chance, I once downed 7 fighters in one
>practice touch and goes in test flight, this is key for capture the airfield maps. The faster you can go down that runway while capping it, the safer you are.
Reload time, g force, vitality, repair time. Forward vision isn't super important in arcade but rearward is. Also, get used to always looking around you, don't get snuck up on.
Kage told me that the way i play is unique for my char and if i do it correctly i will get far he says he wishes to fight me in real life in a tourney. I live near him 2 to 3 buffer. Asked fatgoku about howd i do he was like you play like high level versions of this character. Fought a player who took 5th in locals with my char and i 2 stocked them.
I bested everyone i met on 4chan thus far
The csgo r8 period wasvmy time to shine. I always shot first and never missed. Even when the entire enemy team was using r8s i was mowing them down because I could run and shoot quake style without needing to let them hit me by sitting still.
I played it every day by myself when I was younger. The last time I played it was at college with some friends. We stopped playing because nobody was having fun
I was 3 stars ahead of everyone !!WINWINWINWINWIN!!
Yeah, DMD. Getting SS is still a pipe dream for me in the near future.
In the meantime, my goal is to at least be half this good at Royal Guard.
I don't doubt that you're good but before making high statements you should consider that most really good player don't use stuff like netplay
There are thousands lurking in the dark, who only show up to tourneys and play with a CRT only
It was just a maybe not-so-friendly reminder that only tourney placements really show how good you are
I would love to play against you, but I don't use netplay
I'm the only person I know who's beaten it, so I guess that's something. I'm practically a walking (...sitting?) encyclopedia for that game since I've spent so much time in it and poured over the wiki trying to understand all of the little tiny details that must be observed if you want to survive.
Crash Bandicoot 3
Vigilante motherfucking 8
I'd say I was above average at a lot of games, but certainly far from tourney level. Jack of all trades, master of none kind of thing. I can totally kick arse on minute but then just sorta lag behind the next.
I did get into the top 2%, or something like that, of players world wide for kills on the abomination that was assassin's
creed 3. Doesn't really mean shit though, and I didn't even like that game.
Kill count doesn't always collerate to how much you helped out.
Almost every time I roll SS I get top kills, but 90% of that shit is trash mobs, that help out others.
Sharpshooters and Medics, even though they get way less kills, are more of a contribution.
Though every team needs a trash clearer, and shouldn't have 4-5 sharpshooters.
Brother id love to fight you where are you located at
If you get netplay id love to fight you
I just fought a number 2 jigglypuff and i beat her everytime except twice because it was endless.
And i fought a platnium puff and beat them and sometimes they killed me
Back when I played a fuckton I would say Dissidia
Though I haven't touched it in years, and only did so to record weebums, though transitioning to a keyboard was pretty fun.
I used to top every server I played on as Engineer in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory during the early days when everyone was still working out the game. Then I stopped playing for a few months and was totally eclipsed.
Felt good for a while though.
>tfw good at every game
>tfw not great at any of them
Naziland, so if I assume you're burgerland, there's no chance at a fair match.
Take every chance you get to go to a tourney near you. It's comfy and you're surrounded by others who share your passion for the game.
I'm confident that I can destroy anybody on this board in any Tony Hawk game
Same here. The best is when child hatchetfags call you a noob when the final scores ends up being you with 500+ notoriety while they are at 150 or so.
>Navy+Handgun Throw+Gentleman+Right Handed master race
My heritage is Nazi land grandmother ran from nazi germany and my great grandfather killed jews for a living.
I can't wait bud i am super excited
Your right i will say that i will be there for you in a smash way in burgerland illl root you on.
This is the best I could do in a kind of cheesey spot with little to no practice. Do I have potential?
>tfw you finally got gud with the bow
Kinda wish I kept playing it.
I like the bow, but with the 10 base notoriety, up to 6 notoriety from Gentleman, and however many more from killstreak, you can get some serious points going. And I like feeling like John Wayne more than Robin Hood.
I have a friend who believes at one point he could have been a world record holder for speedruns in Contra Shattered Soldier.
He was really damn good, but he wasn't really into speedrunning.
Insurgency is pretty much my game. If not on top i'm usually in the top 5 on my team.
I do well to carry fairly often but when everyone thinks they're a sniper because they slapped a shitty scope on their gun there's only so much you can do by yourself in capturing points.
You do realize that the average player MMR is 4K right? 4.2 might've been above average 2 years ago (when the average was around the 3~3.5K mark) but now, new players have a lot more tools and ways to learn the game (not to mention abusable hero spamming) and they easily achieve 4K. 4.2K MMR isn't exactly something you should be proud of. Just saying.
>super smash brothers brawl
>used to play it all the time in high school
>all really good and pretty much played it for hours every weekend
>played as zelda and could fuck up people with dins fire
>my friends eventually learned my strategy and dodged it 90% of the time
>forced me to not rely on it
>on active duty and playing brawl with one friend in the day room in barracks
>suddenly like 10 people in room and we're all trading around playing
>I realise I'm not playing against my old smash friends so no one knows my cheap tactics here
>switch to zelda
>they start triple teaming me
>"man let's just play street fighter this isn't fun anon keeps winning"
I'm horrible at street fighter though
The bow's pretty broken though for how many points it gives. It's not a bad weapon at all and it isn't necessarily "hard" to use either, it's just different from all the other weapons and it's not even that hard to learn how to use it
Seeing a bowfag top charts even after I've gone like 4 frags a minute with a Schofield is kinda frustrating. It also sucks that the majority of Gold tier chest weapons aren't even worth using. Hell a lot of the Red tier weapons aren't even worth using either, bar the Peacemaker
I played a lot of PSP games.
S ranked all the missions in Ace Combat: Skies of Deception.
Unlocked almost all the guns in Syphon Filter Dark Mirror in both single and multiplayer. Destroyed people online with dual sawed off shotguns.
I played Rengoku for so long I could probably speed run it.
I'm pretty sure i read that the average is about 3.5/3.6. You could be right though, I felt like it was worth mentioning because i've gained about 40 MMR in the last 3 or so months and it feels like i've started to get better than just average.
I'm really good at having fun with Gothic II.
I actually like all of the red crate weapons. The SAA is of course fucking amazing, but all of them are super satisfying. Coachgun is great when you're group against group, and the Henry is good, except it doesn't have enough range for what it is. Black Dynamite is also fun.
Agree that gold crate is pointless, I usually just get the machete to move around faster
Well the Henry and Coachgun used to be far more viable, R_Yell has since made most guns horribly crippled for the sake of his twisted sense of balance
The rate of fire and zoom speed on the Henry got reduced heavily, before that it was a go-to pick for competitive play (source: I played on it for awhile). The coachgun was never REALLY a good gun but originally you could just blow both barrels at once for an instant kill. That's since been removed and replaced with the zoom in, which I honestly find usable but it's nowhere near as useful as being able to score an instant kill
Favorite game of all time. I have every map memorized, most of the treasures, enemies, bosses, all memorized.
Probably completed it 15+ times.
I've done every kind of run I can think of: 2 week, zero death, minimum count, etc.
Holy shit I love this series.
Sucked shit at first but the fighting felt too good to stop
Also Dank Souls
>people say they're good at a single player game
>they watch speedruns and realize they're shit at it
I am mediocre at all games, except in rts games in which I am pretty bad at.
Usually I play/learn decently enough in most games I try, but I never quite get up there in terms of the best. Anyone else like this? Like there's a plateau I always seems to get stuck at in every game.
Honestly it makes me feel dumb that I can't even master one game.
Red orchestra 2 is where I can play godly, too many situations where I'm the last man alive on my team against the germans and I still wreck them.
My favourite time was when I was defending a small building with a couple other guys after we'd lost on tickets badly, I tore through them when they tried attacking though. I emptied 2 ppsh, 1 mp40, 2 pistols, 1 svt, 6 grenades and 1 scoped mosin and every time I reloaded or searched for weapons people would die.
After I got about 50 german kills they realized that they couldn't actually kill me and would have to just capture the point, where I had to use the last of my grenades before rushing some and bashing one round the head.
I lost the last point and then found my teammates argueing over how I was "hacking due to the sound of my ppsh sounding like a pistol".
Really any COD-esque FPS where you just run around and shoot people. I can basically join any game and constantly be the top player after a few matches. However, it does kind of ruin the fun a lot of the time as there really isn't anything left for me in these types of games except for the boring ass gun grind.
I swear, either the player base is complete shit, or I am for some reason destined to be a god at this game.
20/2 KD easily on almost every match with the default Shotgun and Revolver
My nigga, I thought I was the only one who used that shit. Also FAMAS w/ red dot sight + FMJ was literally god tier for me, popping snipers from across the map with a single burst was the best.
>there's no speedruns for one of my favorite singleplayer games
mostly because of hardware reasons
>check out speedrun of a game
>see that i'm actually good at it
I was #1 in the world at hardcore headquarters and team deathmatch in three different Call Of Duty games and had a 7.4K/D in modern warfare. I was #1 in the world in team death match on F.E.A.R. 2.
I've consistently been in the top 100 on battlefield 3/4/hardline.
I was on a sponsored team that went to Vegas twice for rainbow six Vegas series.
I'm pretty good at shooters, everything else I'm just ok at.
Can't play RTS to save my life, or games like Dota or world of warcraft, those games just require way too much out of me to maintain being fun.
Sucks though because even though I'm not old, I can definitely tell my skill is starting to lapse on some game types. Started playing black ops 3, only because my coworker has it and I just can't even play those games anymore, just way too much shit going on.
ALIEN SWARM! Because I'm the only soul that still haunts the servers.
I used to play that game, but it wont show up on steam anymore for some reason, help!
(btdubs you can have a similar gameplay experience with a game called Helldivers, which is alot newer and more active)
>go to LAN party
>One of the older WWII COD is main game
>host is constantly putting us on this big open map
>snipe fest all day long, host is the worst offender
>get shotgun and sneak up into his team
>fox in the hen house for like 10 minutes every time I get in there, murder entire team 3 times over while they try to adapt to close combat instead of lame campfests
>finally host gets so buttmad he bans shotguns
>I switch to some other weapon and do the same shit
Campers really are scrubs.
War Thunder and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD ver.
I'm pretty damn good at Mario Kart 8.
I'm also decent at Splatoon, but I can't handle Ranked's bullshit enough to get to S.
DMC4 is my jam.
I may not be as good as the best players, but I always have a fucking blast whenever I play this game.
I also used to be a beast in Smash 64 and Metal Slug X, but it's been ages since I've played those games seriously.
Kinda reminds me of a lan party I had at this tech camp at UT. We were playing COD2 and I was using shotguns and destroying everyone. Eventually I got kicked. The councilor had to tell the others they can't kick people but told me to use something else.
So I did and still destroyed.
Its been a while though, is Shotgun really that broken? I mean you still gotta get in their face to use it so I don't think its that broken
Sniping is not camping. Anyway, I knew several areas on the maps where I could hide and no one would find me, and usually with excellent cover which made it difficult to spot me through scopes.
>spend my entire life playing video games
>not good at anything
I used to be great at god hand
Gotta git gud again though.
One of these days, maybe.
I feel like Im pretty good at most vidya. Im at least competent at everything I play.
But Im not truly great at any of them. I guess I don't have the patience to truly get gud since Id rather just move on to something new once I beat it
Im the best at all video games among my friends except a rival in fighting games with my brother.
Im still only slightly better than average in all the competative games that i play though and never feel good enough.
I guess turn based strategy like xcom and fire emblem are my expertice.
It's really fun to mess around in those two MGS games.
MGS2 is my favorite because of all the VR and extra missions that it has.
This fucking game, right here.
Specifically, the level in pic related.
It is the best turn-based strategy game ever made, period.
I was very dominant in Strike Vector, but it was a small community. Made it into top 10 with at least one weapon - but it's nothing like trueskill. Just accumulated points I guess. Don't think anyone plays that anymore.
And I was a scary-ass sniper in ArmA3 KotH. Sniper rifles can be very demoralizing in that game, just like it is said of their real life counterparts. Probably because it's really the only video game where you use them over realistic ranges.
I feel like there's probably more but I don't remember right now.
TF2, like i could carry any team at any time.
To bad i can only get "ok" at any other game, plus valve ruined tf2 and now it sucks shit.
I've been playing the Wargame series since Wargame: EE and still play Red Dragon daily. I know all the bullshit tricks and virtually never loose.
Now I play as 1980's era North Koreans and see how many amateur reservists I can fill the map with.
I became a god in Metal Gear Online 2.
I used to be able to carry my entire team during tournaments, I could kill 4 or 5 persons before I ran out of ammo, in which case I would proceed to kill them with a pistol and a knife. And I fared really well against the elite players.
It's a real shame that the game is dead, I had a lot of fun with it.
MK8 and SKATE 2/3, slowly getting better at Melee
Not very impressive, but when Gotham City Impostors went free to play I started playing and just fucking dominated every match. I got MVP every time, even when I lost. People just couldn't deal with the motion tracker.
Also, I can beat Einhander with one continue. I'd like to do it in one life someday.
Crash Bandicoot 1-3 (Mainly 2)
Wario Land 4
Super Mario Bros 3
Mega Man X 2
Dead Space 1 and 2
I´m usally good at FPS
not anything special
I used to be good at Smash & racan games
I used to play way too much Liero back in the day, and it shows
There are very few games I can really say I'm good at. I beat MGRR on very hard/revengeance without taking any damage
I can carry Deathwish games in Payday 2
I used to play Titanfall competitively
You actually won a tourney?
Or did you just not get 0-2 wrecked?
I do have to agree with you about wavedashing btw. At the higher levels it's an invaluable tool but at lower levels it can actually distract you and break your concentration (since you're still trying to do the inputs) and mess up your neutral.
It took me about a year to two years to consistently wavedash as a tool without it messing up other aspects of my play.
>tfw you just uninstalled the game you were best at and need to find something else to invest hours into
I'm thinking of doing the whole fire emblem series and learning the ins and outs of each game. that should occupy my autism.
I'm the MGS guy to my friends, I used to speedrun it.
I was a few seconds off the WR for MGS3 any%. I only lost it because my friend called me during the Pain fight and it threw off my aim on the last shot.
I'm pretty damn good at smash bros. Haven't met anyone in person that can beat me if I'm playing Link, Meta, Lucario, Lucina, or Luigi
Halo 2/3, was rank 50 in H2 and maxed level + every achievement in H3
I never really got into competitive scene in vidya besides scrubbing my friends.
We'd play 4 player (or 8 with two xboxes) local mulitplayer and just kill eachother for hours. I was way better than them, but always assumed they just sucked. I guess they got better, and in turn I had to get better to keep beating them, cause when I started playing online I was leading FFAs by double the amount of kills
I got stupid good at reversals in WWF No Mercy when I was about 12. I used to beat friends in 2v1 handicap matches all the time. That shit almost ruined one of my friendships.
Hotline Miami I guess, but thats mostly just knowing the levels.
Never really got gud at a competitive FPS cause I just abuse broken setups and mindlessly shoot guys without really thinking
I got scary good at Killzone 2. Consistently could get scores of 75+ and ten or eleven deaths. All about mastering that slow strafe hipfire headshot, baby.
>pic related, what I dispensed sweet interstellar justice with
Binding of Isaac. 350 hours played, consistently top 1000 on daily leaderboards
Nah I don't. Never even really tried to be anything better than average.
Fun game but the balancing was off. I really liked the Helghast assault rifle so I used that even though it was inferior. Just cause.
Not really sure how you can be best at an RPG but I guess EarthBound in that there isn't a bit of knowledge I don't know about that game.
According to the leaderboards, probably Amplitude.
This. Might get the PC version of THPS4 for that online mega mod and show off if anyone can confirm it's worth it
>use Shields *3 and Weapons *1
>paired with Macht 37
>enter a room by rushing in with my shield up
>knock a Infiltrator over
>execute him like the dog he is
>some times get 2 or 3 guys at once
>knock them all down and watch them scurry away like roaches
The best feeling.
Rock Band drums, I want to move up to one of the of the weeb rhythm games but need to buy a new kit. Also living in an upstairs apartment now so I'm scared about making lots of noise for neighbors.
Well, if I play with someone enough they eventually get to the same level (my bro and I are basically 50-50 now). Once you know the moves the rubber band AI won't let a game get too out of hand (intercept a pass, your oline suddenly forgets how to block)
But I had a great streak going for a while.
I was an absolute beast in Shattered Horizon back when it actually had players, all those lunch breaks spent playing Descent and Hellbender in the computer labs at school paid off well.
I also do well in tactical shooters
Monster Hunter X
Monster Hunter 4u
Monster Hunter 3u
Monster Hunter Frontier
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
Monster Hunter 1
Dark Souls 1
Dark Souls 2
Pokemon X and/or Y
