What's wrong playing female character if you're a guy? There are games I feel like playing as guy and other games where I'm fine playing a female. Why does it bother anyone what you play?
I personally play as a girl because most of the good armors in games footer make characters are edgy and I'm afraid someone will walk in and think I'm that edgy. I'd rather they think I'm kinda weird and say it than secretly think I'm a massive edgelord
Shit anon, that's the silliest argument you've made in a long time. I'm not even arguing one way or the other about playing girls, but
>you're not a soldier/warrior/mage/detective/racer/pilot/dwarf/elf/orc/demon/basketball in real life, why play one in a game?
Why play games at all?
It's okay I know where we are
old mod I had for over 4 years, don't remember what it is.
I think the official server are dead, I don't know.
I didn't get to finish to play NW2 main campaign nor MotB because I feel that I must play the main campaign to move then to MotB. But I'm having trouble with the enemies high rolling dice where I am in the story compared to my low AC stats.
I think some characters do change their dialogue depending on what race you play.
I don't think so. I started a game in 2013 and never finished it. I don't know if the race you're playing as any consequences.
well I'll never tap anyone ass in real life, might as make a fictional waifu so it wouldn't be any different
do this simple check.
>Do you question your decision to play as a female character?
>Do you care about how people view you by your decision?
If your answer for both is Yes.
You are a faggot and is what's wrong with this world.
Because most of the people who play girls in RPG games are just playing waifu and they enjoy having complete control of a female, albeit a fictional one. Some other people hate themselves so much, that they can't even create a male character in their likeness to pretend they are the one slaying dragons, instead, they might create a girl that they can control (because they usually can't even get a real girl to look at them) to slay the dragon. I've thought about this a lot, because many of my friends like playing as girls in games instead of making themselves. Like, I understand the "escape" element, that's cool. But why would you not want to see yourself liberating a kingdom from an evil lich lord? This is strictly talking about RPGs where you have complete control of your character creation, mind you. Making an elf girl mage every once in awhile is fun, but if you never create a rad mage or warrior dude thats supposed to be you, then I'll assume you have self-esteem issues to the point where you can't even believe that you're worth something even in a fantasy world. I also may be thinking about this way too much.
I never play females in game (given choice, obviously). I always saw the in-game character as "me". It's not Max Payne diving with a dragunov rifle, it's me.
And I never wanted to be a woman.
>Some other people hate themselves so much, that they can't even create a male character in their likeness to pretend they are the one slaying dragons
Some people hate themselves so much they try to escape their own shitty lives by pretending they're killing dragons
Anyone else here got to the point where you just CAN'T play a game if the main character isnt a female ?
I just can't be interested if it's not a female character. I didnt buy wither 3 and other games because of this. In fighting games i only pick females and occasionally creatures. If it's a game like wasteland 2 I only create females, etc.
the only exception is link for some reason
>self-inserting in an RPG
That shit gets boring after a while, it's like playing a fantasy game and only making human characters because they don't look like you.
They're fairly important for gender.
I mean, you did experience gender dysphoria right? You're not just some special snowflake faggot who woke up one day and decided to be a girl?
it use to bug me till i was genderlocked into playing one and got into dressing up my chick in sexy outfits.
It bugged me because of the faggots who pretend to be a girl for gear and want to be gay without you knowing there gay
Yeah I did but I stopped caring about the genitals because I realized they don't matter as much as everything else.
That and people like girls with dicks so it's a bonus in that regard too.
Only self-inserting 12-year old faggots care what people play as.
>the main character is totally me, I'm such a badass
>ugh I won't play a girl character because I'm not a girl
You're not interesting, faggot. You'd have more fun with games if you played as someone interesting instead.
WHY do people insist on giving armor ludicrously edgy, and/or impractical designs? Have they NEVER seen a suit of arms before? Do they not know shoulder pauldrons DON'T actually have to be the size of your head?
There are only very few universes I've seen where armor was handled appropriately. WH40K at least has the excuse of saying "hey, technology is sacred, the design stays because changing it is illegal."
JRPGs are seriously the worst offenders of all time. It's like a mix between Shadow the Edgehog shit and copy-paste Final Fantasy cliches like overly large swords and metal prongs that stick out all over the place for no reason.
I make my waifu and then pretend the game is the prequel to her meeting me
I have no problem with a game's main character being a girl, very rarely are they hot-headed, reckless glory hounds nor stupidly innocent and pure Waifus either. The're usually the Middle Ground, rational. Its when people choose to make their Waifus represent themselves in multiplayer games. Plus the'll probably run towards the NPC they can most relate to or awkwardly bring in their sexual fantasies into conversation in game.
Depends on the game. A guy who plays a girl in a fighter is fine unless he goes full waifufaggot and won't stop talking about her.
Guys who play females in MMOs are a huge redflag.
It really doesn't matter who you play in single player games as long as you don't present it in public like a massive faggot. Some guys who play females have the same problem as gamer girls.
