Indeed, and as you can see with OP's screenshot, consoles have a surprisingly difficult time with texture filtering, to the extent that games like Bloodbourne end up with little to no anisotropic filtering. Digital Foundry wrote an article about it, it's likely due to console APUs and their bandwidth.

Texture quality has a massive difference on a game's visuals. A great example is playing Dark Souls 1 in 4k using DSFix - there are some gorgeous screenshots out there because DS1 had very impressive texture work for a 2011 title.

The worst part about BB was how it felt so cheesey to invincibility frame through everything.
