What level should I be for this? Rest of the area is fine but this has me thinking I started the DLC early.
I was 90 when i finished my first playthrough. Not a single bloodecho item used. So 90 -100 seems right
I did it at 61 but I died to him 25 times, more than i died to any other from soft boss. I did the rest with relative ease till I got to the fishing hamlet and decided to go back to the main game till I was level 80 and died a couple times to the boss there but beat him regardless
It's always a good idea to jump into the DLC at an early level if you want some decent items, a fair amount of gold and some experience in fighting. Make sure you bring mage pawns with you and you'll be fine. Once you reach the cockatrice, continue with the main game until further on. I chose the Strider vocation, fyi.
>wreck Memewig's butthole
>go back to do Laurence
>can't even scratch him
I thought Ludwig was supposed to be the big bad of this DLC?
I'm really starting to hate this arcane build. It's fantastically shit against any enemy resistant to fire.
You find tons of chunks anyway anon, and you can buy them with insight later on.
If you really don't feel like using the axe anymore and just want a DLC weapon, theres only one thing you need to do.
Get good, and do it.
>tfw first dlc play through was on NG+7. Even though I was level 250 I was getting fucking rekt over and over
>Ludwig took like 3 hours
>living failures took like an hour
>Maria like three tries
>Lawrence like 4 tries
>Kos took 5 fucking hours. 5 FUCKING HOURS
Does the game get better in the DLC dungeons?
Main game is justty OP enemies appearing in low level zones, while everything is dark as shit. At least the DLC screens look like they have lighting
There's loot in there.
The most worthwhile things i got there where gems though.
You have to pass the low level, piss easy ones first to unlock the latter ones, which means you were supposed to do them as you progressed in the game.
Getting a +9 weapon is pretty nice for a first time, get that first. You're in no hurry anon, take your time in the main game. If you go to the DLC too soon you'll overlevel the main game. That doesnt happen with the DLC.
you're better off waiting. you have to fight your way through the ENTIRE dlc to get to it, including 3 bosses. Collect your chunks or grind chalices unless you feel like REALLY earning that weapon
