As with most bosses in the game, to trick is to keep him inflicted with as many status conditions as possible.

Despite what the guy beside him says, he doesn't actually have any weaknesses to fire. So don't waste all your firebombs, just enough to get him burned. Use Nern or Terry to make him pissed/crying, knock him down or stun him with Brad (just fireball if he's got withdrawal, since it uses SpA) and possibly poison with Olan. Then just lay into him with your most powerful attacks

On my first playthrough, I went with Hard mode.

I had Birdie, Mad Dog and Rage by the end. I didn't really get in tears for the party fight since Brad wanted to be alone since the beginning and never trusted anyone. I felt mostly like shit for Brad, and hesitantly gave him a hug.

Joyful through? God damn my tears were flowing when fighting Brad.

The final "boss" of Joyful really got to me.
I was hoping to fight Buzzo in the end for all he did in Painful. But because of his regrets about what happened, the heavy implications that Lisa's influence drove him made, and that he mutated, gave me a sort of "This isn't how I wanted to win" sort of feeling.

Spoony Sidewalk Vee is the guy who can do it even on Normal Mode, along with the Joy Mutant Peter on Snowy Mountain. Peter is also the only Joy Mutant with TWO insta-kill moves, so he is going to use those often. If you sold out Terry Hintz at the start, he will also make use of Neck Breaker in his boss fight.

On Painful Mode, some of the earlier boss fights also have a fatal Neck Breaker move. Those include Crack Ripper, both those Indian guys after the first Crossroads, and both of the Reds after the first Crossroads as well if their HP gets too low for all of those bosses in Painful Mode.

Terry left my party in my game. I believe it was for the best, better than killing him by the end or losing him midway to some mutant or a nasty foul. I believe he regained his purpose after spending time with Brad and the others and went on to leave hints through out the land.

What did Brad do to Buddy that was so awful other than giving her people to kill which is pretty bad but in the beginning when Buddy is painting their faces she seemed happy enough though that was before. Keeping her in the house sucks but it's not the worst thing ever.

Yeah, I played Painful first before Lisa, so at that point I retracted since I was in front of Buddy.

I killed the Uncles, killed three of my teammates instead of letting her nipple go, and pretty much went for what Brad thought was right to protect Buddy.
