>How are you enjoying the game so far?
Mage healbuff slut
Pawn and arisen.
Does anyone know where the next shop is after the one in Gran Soren. I want new gear, preferably a hat that doesn't look super stupid.
>currently Assassin, then -> Mystic Knight
>PURGE THE LAND OF THE UNHOLY, GLORY BE UNTO THE LIGHTBRINGER
When does the game gets better?
I've killed the hydra and I'm now walking around the world killing some shit.
Are there ways to have more moves?
Should I be following quests or exploring by myself?
I've lvled up some time already but didn't see any stats placement, do lvl add stats automatically or do I have to upgrade by myself?
Do I only get to make one lolli follower, or can I make some more in the future?
Wolves hunting in packs.
>killing the drake in Devilfire grove with Gicel
feels so good
Find an inn and spend your discipline points. You get core skills you activate and some other skills that change how your standard attacks work.
For instance, the one for daggers will make it so after the first attack, waiting a moment before attacking again will chain spinning kicks, which are useful against things weaker to blunt strikes.
Can I say how fucking awesome this entire questline is and how fucking amazing the climax is.
>There are people who still haven´t completed the game
>There are people who still didn´t get even to gran soren after day of playing
Are you guys only pretending or something?
They heal you to what ever your white bar is at.
Green is current health, white bar is what you can be healed to, to get any farther you need to use herbs or rest.
Took me about 12 hours to get there, and I was still under leveled.
Strider, so far. Was a MK on PS3, but I wanted to try something different.
Mage for buffs and heals.
>>How are you enjoying the game so far?
More than on the PS3.
>Pressing F3 (Help) can get a pawn to give you an elemental attack that the enemy is weak to.
Sorcerer with scather/challenger Ranger pawn.
Will probably switch to mystic knight when i'm fully done with sorcerer, dunno if i should switch pawn to any other vocation, she's great at disabling ranged enemies and those are the most annoying to deal with as a sorc.
Overall i really love it even though it really is a flawed gem. Escort quests are garbage. Quest cancelling is bullshit. But combat is so spectacular and fun i forgive everything.
>Ranger without daggers so she's actually useful
Fucking loving it m70.
The high pitch modulated voices are pretty bad, yeah.
Into the brine with you.
M8, use BorderlessGaming or something.
Just turn off HDR, unless you have a top card you aren't going to be able to run it well with that.
Also shadows down to med.
>one of the games earliest quests
I was doing all of the sidequests.
She has eyebrows, you just can't see them because of the lighting. They are brown-blonde.
I played this when DA was released on consoles and I only played the Strider/Assassin class.
Just bought this for PC and I'm hesitant on which class to play. Warrior/2handed seems a tad samey as I've only played physical class.
Magic class seems a bit slow though, with all the casting animations being really long and you standing still.
Any suggestions? Was thinking magic archer.
Gran Soren has the best selection. There isn't another hub store until roughly the end of the game.
If you're feeling like a bad ass, you can rush to Great Wall and see if you survive. Throw down a port crystal to get back easy.
F U C K.
Had a load of escort quests on the Gran Soren board that I put off for ages. Now the Mercedes one is gone.
Have I missed out on loads of content now? FUCK
Fuck, that's her old outfit, I was lucky enough to get this cloak to drop and instantly put it on her, think it suits her well, no one ever rates her so I don't know if she's an ugly goblin or not ;_;
Grinding for more DP. At level 50 something and still have done maybe one wyrmhunt quest. I did a quick foray into BBI and picked up a ring of perseverance so that's coming along. Playing on hard. OHKOs are common and nothing besides grinding up levels seems to stop that form happening (aside from never getting hit, but whatever).
I ported over my old character using some sliders I saved from my PS3 copy of DD. Feels good.
Also, when taking screenshots, always have a lantern on. Stops the darkness from happening.
>fighter (gonna mystic knight soon)
>same (soon to be mage)
>Very much so
Played it when it came out for the ps3. Pirated it a few days ago and saw it ran flawlessly on a sorta bad PC and then bought it. Been playing it ever since. Such a fun and comfy game.
Oh I don't play in windowed mode; I just had to so I could get an actual screen shot since I pirated it and don't have any screen capture software. If you print screen in full mode it pastes just a black screen, so I have to SS in window mode.
Forgot a picture of my arisen/pawn combo. Top is PC version, bottom PS3.
Currently Fighter/Fighter in hard mode
I plan to get the STR augs and switch both to warrior. Then max out warrior for me and switch to strider.
It's annoying but that minmaxed helm splitter will be worth it.
Leaning towards MR.
I was thinking of using a controller. Heard somewhere else that bow with K&M is pretty good, but I had no problems with it with controller before.
>tfw you missed that quest to find Quina in the Witchwood because you didn't know that some quests times out
>High maelstorm at 60fps.
There are no words to describe how happy I am right now
I don't know anon, I'm enjoying the small amount of landmarks that are there.
>tfw stumbling across Healing Spring
>going to the Knoll for the first time and seeing that cutscene and the pan of the drawing
>finding the Hammers' hideout and exploring it
Probably because I'm playing on normal and not easy like the rest of you.
>be level 20
>go down to the bottom of everfall
>"It's too strong"
>spend 10 minutes pounding away at it till it finally dies
>tenticles show up
>can't even fight them, have to run the fuck away alone because pawns won't listen
>How are you enjoying the game so far
I'm enjoy it a lot, it's everything I wish dark souls was.
Yes I dislike dark souls because it doesn't play like this.
you are fucking retarded. I did it at level 15 (not that it matters) on normal, the ogre is strong yes, but beatable. upgrade your fucking shit
and you are suppose to run away, the pawns screaming for you to run and the escape cut scene didn't give it away?
Started as Strider for about 15 levels to get extra stamina/hp. Currently level 24ish Sorcerer (getting that magic up before going back to Mage for some augments/spells).
I made my pawn into a huge tanky guy to give a little variety to the endless female pawns I see, the high weight limit also allows him to carry my shit nicely. He's Fighter/Warrior.
I did not receive a cutscene, I grabbed the stone and shit popped out at me.
Also I had the max gear with upgrades at the time. The ogre refused to fucking die, first time I fought he would one shot me.
Hell after that fight I was going against the bandits again just before the forest for an escort mission and I was being one shot for 1099 life by the bandits with shields. Shit was fucked.
>fuck awesome moveset
>fuck awesome aerial
>read some shit online about warriors being complete trash but keep playing because loving the everloving fuck out of it
>get back to Gran Soren to add my new fuck awesome secondary skills
Haha time for bristlecuck island
I agree, also all the people focusing on min/max is pretty pointless. It's not worth the trouble.
It's not that warriors are BAD, it's just that when you compare them to all the other classes, they lack severely. The most notable is the ridiculous fucking "haha only get 3 skills instead of 6" bullshit that I don't know why they never fixed. It's not just that though. The other pure melee classes have ways to haul ass quickly(mystic knight has that weird air dive move that propels you forward and whatever that fighter dash attack move is" but warrior has none. Also they are the only class that makes you stand there taking blows with no way to negate the attack.
That said though, I was struggling to kill a chimera at level 20 or so as an assassin, but when I realized I wanted that rank 10 augment from warrior and switched, I used that retarded 10 second wind up move and took about 80% of the chimera's health off in one hit. It's the only class I have played that makes me go "god DAMN" when you hit someone so hard.
Would it be possible to mod multiple save slots into this game?
With and I wish he didn't 2bh.
I didn't know he showed up midway, fucked the griffon up and was a cheeky cunt or I would have never done that quest.
Also tfw you got the affinity achievement with Selene.
How is that a stupid comment?
"Leveling a character based upon what you are going to use the character as in the end is stupid"
"No it's not if you fuck up like this your character is absolutely worthless in those stats and those vocations."
"That's stupid don't say those things."
Fucking kill yourself.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
also look at my sexy pawn
>Is it better to max the normal ones first?
Depends on if you need the augments or core skills.
Some of the same core and action skills can be learned by advanced vocations I believe, but augments are unique to a class.
Seriously thinking about switching my Mage pawn to a sorcerer. The healing and buffs(well, apart from fire boon) are not exactly a vital element. But at the same time. I have trained him fairly decently and just shelled out a bunch of cash for the Legion's Wrath. Convince me to stay/switch /v/.
Once you get enough money, eating shit to heal is pennies and if you use that mantle you get from Fournival anytime you heal, it heals all your pawns the same amount. If you REALLY love your boons you can still make a sorcerer with 3-4 huge ass spells and 1-2 boons for your weapons.
Getting your stupid pawn to pose is nigh impossible.
Upgrades to what? Store inventory gets bigger as you progress the story and there's a quest involving Bronze/Silver/Gold idols that you can give to either Caxton/Madeline to expand their inventory even further.
>first time playing
>recovering in Gran Soren inn after the water goddess temple
>hmm I wonder what this tome I found is, maybe I can read it
>Fucking glacial spike shoots up from the floor and pierces the innkeeper
>STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM
Pic unrelated, it's me and my pawn. Her name is Aughtly.
THEY'RE sells some.
Most of them you just find lying around, like the awesome chimera and dragon helmet.
I think some pawns in post-game everfall sells some pretty good helmets too.
>How is that a stupid comment?
>it doesn't have to be one extreme or the other
he was talking about min maxing, then you come out with "hurr play to 150 then switch."
litterally no one would do that, that's NG+ shit and you would probably just start a new character if you wanted to change at that point
playing mage to 50 then switching to strider would be fine.
gear >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> stats
Don't use pawns but made mine a mage
I'm running a strider into ranger into assassin into mage into sorcerer into magic archer Arisen. My pawn is going to be Mage into Sorcerer, but I'll take a break from that path so I can train her under the same vocations as myself.
I've been through this game enough to know I'll love it
The difference between 190 levels of warrior and 190 levels of sorc is like 500 magic. A decent BBI weapon will cover that with ease. If you change vocations frequently as most people do the difference will be even more marginal.
In fact it's recommended you do a few warrior and ranger levels since stamina and health cannot be increased by gear.
Anyone have that one pawn inclination guide for the best results? its old as shit and i forgot where i read it.
i know when you use a neutralizing elixir you gotta use like 10 potions in a certain order to get what you want

>How are you enjoying the game so far?
It's fucking great but I want there to be more battles with griffons and shit. I just feel like the game is 85% running around, bullshit quests, uninteresting story (until the endgame) and inventory management, BUT the last 15% is the hypest shit I've ever played.
I don't get the big deal about it.
Like. You will only really hear the piano intro before your game has loaded. You don't exactly get much of the song unless you idle in the menu. At which point you might as well just listen to an MP3 of it.
>tfw if not for the fact that Aelinore is her highness Duchess of Slutdom she would be pretty qt
Not as qt as me though.
>spend an hour in character creator
>finally come up with something that looks good
>get into game
>looks like oblivion potato face
Goddamnit, I wish there was a way in the creator to see your character in different lighting.
The difference between sorcerer and assassin is around 800 strength. That is a fucking retarded amount of damage you give up, especially if you pair that with the two glyphs that multiply strength by 20% and then 10%. Even before those glyphs, the very best daggers in the game give 1400 strength at absolute max upgrade. 800 more strength from leveling is 60% more damage, which is important thanks to the way the damage calculation is applied against defense.
I seriously doubt that's what that anon thinks is "right." Considering swinging a sword 2-3 times leaves you unable to do shit you are so tired in Dark Souls, and then 2-3 seconds later can sprint like a demon, I don't really see how that's "right."
>trying to do shitty escort mission
>approaching night time
>hear something growling
>chimera out of nowhere
>How to fix blutty graphics? Can't see objects in the distance for shit. Is there something out there like dsfix for ds1?
I mean, yes you can activate DSR via Nvidia control panel and thus play the game at say 1440p or so, so something like DSFix actually isn't necessary at all. However, only certain resolutions work, I believe it was 1.5x, 2.25x and 4x, etc. I'd recommend checking the box for all of them, then launching Dragon's Dogma and seeing which ones are available.
As for draw distance, sadly Capcom was unable to code further visibility due to instability. This means that npcs will pop-in often which is quite annoying. Sadly until a deligent modder fixes the issue, there is no true fix as of yet.
you'll get wrecked at 50, sure you can do fine in the first floor that has like 5 goblins and some wolves but beyond that you're fucked
70 is like the recommended 90 for hardmode
You should be good to go, just stock up on some curatives.
I forged the book to keep the real one My fucking face when he shows up
Alright what are the best inclinations for each pawn class? i need to know so i can have some standards when getting pawns
I don't even know why are you arguing with that retard, considering this is PC and the first second I could I dumped 500 of all my stats into my character with cheat engine. It's the only smart way to get around dumb mechanics such as "leveling up" and "stat growth" garbage. I would expect most everyone else did as well.
>Pick two eyes off of its corpse
I want my bandwidth back
Its not necessarily class dependent so much as it is dependent on what you want that pawn to be doing.
>>skill usage is all over the place
In what way? It doesn't tell you what the stamina cost is? Sure.
>>recovering is plain silly
It recharges like it should and you could use curatives to make it come back faster if you wanted
>>only one change when sprinting near depletion
>>Regular attacks don't deplete it
Go back to Dark Souls fag.
That doesn't matter.
Am I supposed to level up a bit before going to the witchwood after the hydra fight or should I just avoid these bandit fucks?
I literally deal like 1/200th of the armored one's hp with any attack.
There's no logic to what certain skills should
>It recharges like it should
Yes because panting right in the middle of enemies is exactly how it should be.
>more mechanics is bad
That's just the layout of bitterblack. Magick archers absolutely rape everything that's in enclosed spaces. Which almost the entirety of BBI is. Anything works fine. Fighter, warrior, and mage may become frustrating after a while however, as mage is support and the others lack decent ranged options. But really, anything is fine.
Immolation scales off physical ATK not MAG ATK. Assassin solo buffs got nerfed to 20% boosts. MA is only really good in BBI because of Ricochet.
If they're kicking your ass you can just run past them or come back later.
Use your skills.
If you're mis-using your skill pools to the point that you find yourself panting and out of stamina in the middle of fights, I don't know if you could also juggle the cost of normal attacks costing stamina as well. Don't be an idiot about it.
It's rough but you can do it at even level 5-6. The big fucks you just gotta hve someone give you a weapon enchantment and go to town on him. Kill the archers and then the small dudes, then fuck up the big guys. Just kite like mad and let your pawns do the work.
I gave up on my 360 version. At first it was fun going to all the little neat places. It was annoying how you can only get 46 and 47 during a specific story plot mission, but I got them anyway...
But then around 76 or so I ran out of money to use lift stones and I was so tired of continuing...I was so close...100 must be the end, it must be.
I don't even need to question why you didn't like it.
Use your multiple arrows in one shot attack, preferably with elemental augment, and make sure to hit those weak spots. Also remember that the Strider bows have limited range, they do literally no damage even if you actually hit the enemy if you fire from too far away.
Ranger longbows on the other hand get increased damage at long range.
Post your Pawns and Arisens.
Wizard Arisen Artemis and his apprentice Selene.
>How's the game
So apparently you can go to tier 2 vocations or hybrids. What's good for each? All I know is fighter and warrior only get 3 skills which is stupid. Assassin sounds appealing because you get more shit to do but ultimately looks like you'll be a glass cannon. Mystic Knight looks rad too.
Also pawns can't mix vocations right?
i just didnt like how spread out they were, its like why couldnt they be in order from location
iirc there was one string of theme that was spread out as far as they could be in four directions
You literally just said you're panting in the middle of fights
>I just don't like the fact that they pick and choose what uses stamina.
They don't. Sprinting uses it, attack skills use it.
>If you're going to have it in the game, every thing you do should affect it.
It doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing, that's ridiculous.
My Arisen is an Assassin mainly but I am leveling up warrior at the moment
My Pawn is a ranger but god damn is it hard to keep her using a bow
Game is tops, as it was on console
>wandering around at night
>mfw I see a giant pair of eyes glowing in the dark
so despite my better judgement I just bought the game on steam
How do I move my pirated copy into steam so I don't have to redownload everything but only do a file check?
>his team isn't all male
Hey, if the anon who made this qt named Alexandra is here I just want to say she is by far one of the better looking pawns in this game. :3
Fighter gets 3 sword skills and 3 shield skills. Warrior is the only class in the game that only gets 3 skills total.
Pawns cannot be hybrid classes but can be the other 6.
Play whatever you want, switch as often as you want, it doesn't really matter.
> Special attacks and actions like climbing and running use stamina.
> Normal attacks don't.
Sounds pretty reasonable. Otherwise you could wind yourself out and have no way of attacking. As it is, you can use special attacks for greater damage and then use regualr attacks while your stamina recharges.
It's not rocket science.
Fighter has 6 skills, as does everyone but Warrior. Pawns can't go hybrid, but can go for advanced vocations. Advanced vocations aren't upgrades, but specializations. All vocations are fun and viable(except the supportslut mage). Assassin is absolutely no glass cannon with all its invincible moves and counters and shit.
I'm not having a lot of fun. I have no idea where to go, the quest markers seem all messed up so right now I'm just wandering aimlessly killing hordes of wolves or bandits. Boring as fuck.
>doing this quest
>kill the geodude, pretty cool fight
>suddenly 3 heavily armed bandits emerge and kick my shit in
>it's before the first confrontation with the gryphon
I feel your pain in regards to quest markers, but I'm having fun exploring. I don't understand why everytime I select "view on map" it zooms in at that bandit area in the southwest (near witchwood). I just stopped paying attention to it altogether.
I'm starting to think it might actually be related to what you have explored.
What modifier are you guys using instead of Ctrl?
>still no 6 skill slots mod for warrior
all that shit is just basic ass stuff you can change in almost any game on PC
>How are you enjoying the game so far?
Even more than the console version which was I liked plenty
Oh I was under the impression the 3 starting vocations phased out for one of the other 6 eventually. I don't know why I thought that.
>What's the last main quest you did?
Found the teenage with in Witchwood.
>How are the quest markers messed up?
I have no understanding of how they work. They don't seem to be pointing to the actual quest areas, but maybe I'm just retarded.
My sentiments exactly. I mean, exploring is alright, but it just gets tedious when I end up fighting pack of wolves over and over.
If your card supports it enable virtual super resolution in the GPU options panel (either NVIDIA or AMD). Then when you go into options in the game the resolutions should show up.
Killing harpies might be easier with a bow but it's god damn satisfying with a greatsword.
>You can use Easy Kill/Masterful Kill on big minions
> I don't understand why everytime I select "view on map" it zooms in at that bandit area in the southwest (near witchwood)
I think that happens only in unmarked quests, like the ones from notice boards.
Which by the way, you don't need to actively complete. Just do it while you explore.
That's simply the best armor I had at the time
>tfw figure out how to use skills
i knew i was doing something wrong, just not that i was supposed to hold down ctrl
Nah, I have no idea who Mercedes is.
I dunno man. The quest markers on my minimap never seem to be in order. I keep having a purple marker pointing to the village where you start the game but I don't have a quest active in that area.
Do you still get the "gryphic" armor that happens to look exactly like griffith's armor? Because I remember getting it from there and then immidietly sneaking into the princess's chambers for naughty time and then getting caught and brutally tortured by the duke.
What I'm really saying is HOLY SHIT THIS GAME WAS SUPPOSED TO JUST BE BERSERK.
The purple one is for BBI, the post game DLC dungeon. It's always there, just ignore it until you want to actually do it.
If you haven't met Mercedes I'm not sure what quests you could even have active that give you so much trouble.
Is there any good reason to max my vocation level for a basic class before I switch to the advanced class, or am I wasting my time?
Also, holy shit all the inflated HP pools of enemies in this game is its only problem.
Oh alright, that explains a bit.
Nah I did that mate, a long time ago. My main mission now (I think) is to go below that pawn hangout in Gran Soren, but the troll there is too OP for me for now.
I should try doing sidequest and grind up then, I take it?
you keep augments between vocations, they're like passive skills
the enemies will stick suck cocks when you end of having to run through 20 levels later and you just street sweep them
Only for those class specific augments.
They're not bloated health pools, you're just underleveled and shouldn't be fighting them.
You don't have to fight the Ogre, and you could even make it fall off the edge.
His helmet and Cloak look to be BBI gear.
>sounds like you're cumming buckets
>slut duchess shows up to give you some keys
>you just look slightly annoyed she woke you up
>talk to the Duke later, he doesn't care you probably fucked her brains out, don't worry about it
>talk to her chambermaid outside later
>she just happened to steal a full goddamn set of armor fitted for a 210cm 120kg freak of fucking nature
>go to free princess bitch
>haul ass downstairs while she prances about
>kill like a dozen guardsmen at the same time by myself
>"it's too dangerous to take the main gate, I hear guards outside"
>go into the basement
>there's like 40 fucking bandits down there
>right underneath the highly manned goddamn fucking fortress
>they're all trying hard as hell to kill the craven cunt, don't give a single shit about any ransoms
I must have broke in during a fucking bandit invasion or something. That questline was seriously fucked up.
at the female bandit camp to the north/east of gran soren, if you hit a bridge you've gone too far north
under the princess's bed
the blonde haired peddler with huge breasts in the main inn, but you need a golden idol (she has other stuff too)
>but the troll there is too OP for me for now.
It's pretty easy to get him to run off the edge and die, and the rest of the quest is just skellies and undead which are both ez.
if you're planning to max the vocation for a pawn, you should also stick to that vocation until the pawn is at max and has all the augments you want them to have. so that they get the best training results
Holy fuckamoly I'm enjoying this game. MK best class.
Also, roast my arisen.
so my stat growth is fucked for a mage (almost pure warrior) and so is my pawn so I'm just gonna reroll
instead of having to reroll all my sliders and shit I can just pick "hard mode" right? and it'll use my char and keep some items
my fucking main has every boon plus anodyne because her only job is to make sure everything falls to my sword, pick related
>so my stat growth is fucked for a mage (almost pure warrior) and so is my pawn so I'm just gonna reroll
You're autismal, just get better gear.
>instead of having to reroll all my sliders and shit I can just pick "hard mode" right? and it'll use my char and keep some items
Yes, but you're still autismal.
Killing this in the wild was amazing. Random encounters feel better than boss fights in other games.
Pawn and arisen in that order. Dunno if i wanna be ranger or MA
>huge empty fucking world
>have to wander fucking everywhere while my stamina depletes in two seconds
>damage sponge enemies that take centuries to kill but aren't actually challenging
What the fuck guys
hey bro, the entire point of this game is not the shit story or the boring quests, its the adventure of doing that shit without just hitting start and traveling through the map
> Hard mode
> Basically everything one shots me even with heavy amor, no mistake possible
> Normal mode
> I can flail around like an idiot for 5 minutes to take down an ogre no sweat
Also hard mode supposedly doubles the damage but on normal one ogre slap does like 150-200 damage while i get OHKO on hard with 1000 hit points
I really hate when none of the difficulty settings feel just right. I either have to tryhard or faceroll the game.
Is there anything like a transmog? Some of this stuff looks cool despite having shit stats.
Weak points. Hit them and you do crazy damage. Hit something else and don't do anything.
Alternatively you're just fighting different levels of enemies and the weak ones die easy but the strong ones dont.
Trying to do the witchwood rescue right out of the snake fight is fucking awful.
The rogues go down in a few hits but their fucking mercenary downs my pawns in two seconds and I either go back and fourth for an hour while chipping. Or board and hope he doesn't blind strike, stagger, and then 1S me.
Your pawn freaks me out.
R8 my arisen
I fucked up
Decided to change my vocation to Ranger to try it out and I got the quest where
the 2 headed bird attacks Gran Soren
I do absolutely no damage to it currently, do I really have to farm Ranger levels to kill it now?
Is it possible to beat metal golem as a sorcerer?
Fucking hell, full magic immunity of amulets is an absolute bullshit.
[spoiler ] cockatrice? [unspoiler]
I think dark boons and hit it's neck, should be ezpz with ranger
get onto a house or something and have your pawn cling to it
or come back later with tenfold shot
>>How are you enjoying the game so far?
Uninstalled, and going back to Xenoblade Chronicles X. Maybe I'll go back to this later, but it was extremely underwhelming despite playing it for nearly 20 hours.
>Hate the weight limit and stamina depleting while sprinting
>Using the mod that removes feels like cheating
What should i do bros
Weight limit might br too much, you never have to actually bother to manage provisions.
Sprinting's fine, that mechanic does nothing but waste your time. So long as it's only sprinting, you'll be fine, it's not like Souls where this would actually matter.
blunt and slash damage
I personally only ever use war hammers on fighting iron golems where they have their plates all around the area... and there is only like two in the game
Also keep in mind that this game has different damage for different targets. Hitting dudes in the face does more damage than the torso which does more than the arms. they take more damage when they're off balance from hitstun, being grappled, some debuffs, on the ground, etc. lightning does more to wet enemies, fire to oil doused enemies, cold to lizards or wet enemies, holy to undead etc.
Think tactically, pretty much anything you think SHOULD give you a real advantage will.
>Early game is front-loaded with a load of side quests to make the game feel more padded
>Mid-game+ has nothing because they know most reviewers won't actually play this long
Seems like defense in this game is a flat substraction of incoming damage, that would explain why the difference between normal and hard is so extreme.
I think a mod putting the increased damage to 1.33 or 1.50 would be more balanced. Right now i'm pretty bummed out by this, doesn't make want to continue playing right now.
Masterful Kill stays active forever unless you move
I'm completely fine with the 1-2 shots, I just don't like levelling so fast.
I'm sure it's moddable though, since there's an ARC tool that can change base stats and stat gains of classes.
I'm just tired of getting instakilled by a lightning fast dropkick from an enraged ogre while my pawns tank that shit no sweat 5 times or more. Feels like i have to play super defensively and let the others do the job. Not very fun.
I'm all for careful play, i like MH style games but even in MH you (usually) get to live with your mistake at least once or twice. This game just wasnt balanced for hard mode.
get good, personally. Pawns rarely do shit for me to the point I used to play hard mode solo for hard bosses since they would just die and I'd die trying to save them.
But yeah, hopefully we'll see some balance mod. Probably one that just makes normal mode faster instead of hard mode easier.
healing spells are nice but limited over time, that color fade in your hp of points you can recover isn't an issue with consumables
just remember to bottle them so they keep longer
yeah, did it work?
no i think witchwood is the only place, because guardian's grave is there
I know the game has a NG+ mode, so I'd like to know if I'm automatically taken into NG+ if I defeat the final boss or if I will be able to roam around since I still have 50 (?) percent of the map unexplored.
How did you take a screenshot without the UI?
>Doing that Grimoire shit
>Get attacked by a Chimera on the way there
>Spend all day fighting it
>It's night now
>Continue along mountain pass
>I'm so fucking close to the quest marker
>Climb on him
>Jump off and slam down on him
>Game bugs out and I get thrown off the cliff because of the weird collision detection from the attack
>How did you take a screenshot without the UI?
ENB to toggle it off or the mod on nexus that removes the watermark.
It's cool as fuck, good for throwing people off-balance, exploit weakness to fire, and the explosion staggers even big guys. Whiffing the uppercut, and most monsters gaining too much stagger resistance to be launched by it later on is kind of shitty though so enjoy it while it lasts.
that's weird, when i got down there nothing happened, i just took the stone and continued to venture further in where i battled wizard skeletons and harpies
it was a bitch because the skeletals 1hko'd me with their fireballs
i was lvl 12 at the time, still cleared it though in hard mode
