I dunno, man. I just couldn't get behind any of the fillers. Like, even the race in the Land of Tea, thing. It was like two and a half episodes of running, a Chidori at a sword and then Naruto saves the day. Yeah, it was good because it gave another insight as to Sasuke thinking he was so far behind Naruto (even though he put the chip in the Lightning sword that allowed Naruto to shatter it), but I just couldn't get into it.

Maybe it's just because almost all the episodes - both canon and filler - seem to enjoy dragging stuff out. Exposition on top of exposition, long, ten-second pauses between dialogue, flashbacks inside flashbacks INSIDE FLASHBACKS. Spending the first ten minutes of every episode reiterating what happened in the final ten minutes of the last episode.

Naruto needs the Dragonball Kai treatment. Then I'd have another crack at it.
