So, anon. Tell us. What is your
No lying to us edition.
I wasted way more time on picross games than I want to admit.
Literal shitposting and baiting. I draw pleasure from it.
Playing shitty weeb RPGs with mediocre gameplay and god awful story.
It's mindless clicking until everything dies and maybe drops good loot one day.
But I love it.
Legit question, the last cod I had was modern warfare 3 and after decided to stop playing them. Too samey, boring story, no good coop like zombies.
Will BLOPS3 hook me? I used to enjoy them, blops1 and cod4 were my favourites
BlOps 3's zombie mode is pretty big, and the movement has things like wallrunning and triple jumps. There was a free weekend a while ago, you might wanna wait for another one and try it then.
Was actually my very first one on one fighter
World of Warcraft
Trackmania Nations Forever
CS:GO pretending I'm a kid on mic, whooping people's ass and hear them get mad over me
Destiny, after all of this shit going on recently I still like this game a lot, Bungie just needs to bring down the good ol' banhammer and that will fix a major part of the problems this game has.
Cpu vs Cpu battles. Fucking love that shit for some reason and create my own personal tournaments quite often. One week I went full autism mode as I didn't feel like actually playing anything and did a Round Robin for Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
I still have the results. Dr. Wheelo was the best character (when controled by the AI anyway) with Great Ape Baby then Super Saiyan 2 Gohan right behind.
Oh god that was my first fighter as well
Still bitter I could never beat the final boss
Basically as long as Infinity Ward didnt make it, it's a good cod game (par MW1 and maybe 2), Treyarc is usually good (including this year) and SH haven't made enough to properly judge (AW was ok)
Destiny, ive put 709 fucking hours into this game...
I actually adore the gameplay, going fast and shooting humans with assault rifles in the Sonic universe with Tails,Sonic etc
I've collected all the items, keys, beat the expert mode, got A rank on every mission, I love it
Does warframe count?
My real problem is my inability to enjoy single player games anymore. I can see how these games are objectively good or great, but I never have the patience to sit down for more than a few hours by myself and play them. I have to be playing some kinda multiplayer game with my friends.
Exor is a fucking cunt. Me and my brother could never beat him as children even on Very Easy with 5 continues. The only time I DID beat him about a year or two ago (probably more but I know it was within this decade) was on those same settings, but with Maximus and spamming his hammer throw move.
Did you play all 3DS eShop picross games?
They are pretty fun and will be way cheaper than paying for F2P shit in pokemon.
aside of that there is DS ones if you have flashcard + 3D one which I yet to play but seems damn interesting, considering how hyped sequel was.
And JP only GB sequel for Picross and SFC one.
They are all same thing essentially, aside of 3D one. So you probably will be fine with any of them.
I don't know if this counts but I never played New Game +, I just keep restarting and I only know how to play as a fighter, cannot effectively use magic of any kind or play without a shield
Its been over 10 years and I still play WoW.
Its been almost 10 years and I still play TF2.
I love them both, even with all the terrible shit happening to both games.
Don't feel guilty for being able to enjoy things, anon. I envy you, really.
>tfw genuinely don't enjoy the games anymore
>tfw I used to think I'd like them again after leaving 4chan
>Came back because I didn't
Got a flashcart? Try illust logic on the DS, it has the best picross control scheme I've ever tried.
Honestly one of my favorite platformers desu
I always thought RPGs were boring as fuck most of the time.
Soul Hackers and Etrian 3 were some good weeks spent.
Played the demo
TUNE THE WITCH!
Game has generic animu storyline, mysterious amnesiac, characters being too trusting of evil characters, voice acting. It's the kind of game I'm embarrassed to play but will play secretly with headphones.
Skylanders. I get them at CeX for as low as £0.25 and never go above £3 per figure and I am having way more fun than I should be.
It also helps that the game starter packs are anywhere between £5 and £12 pre-owned. Only got in to it for the Donkey Long skymiibo (I am crazy DK fan)
Not my favourite game like, but it is causal enough that my girl plays it with me. We spend hours on it somehow.
Sup, I'll just shoot water dragons at you with no chakra cost.
I know. Hell Nintendo might be the only one that is doing F2P kind of right. "Just give us enough for a full game and it's yours" But I don't know I just really hate F2P in general that no matter if it's done right I still hate it. But man am I having fun with Pokemon.
Whenever I'm feeling down I like to play games where I can be a dickish edgelord. Playing evil Jesus in Kotor 2 right now.
League. I literally cannot stop playing, I've invested a fuckload of money into skins and champions, and I can generally shit on most games I play with any old champion.
It's a game I can go and play to feel good at video games.
FF2 gets a bad rap that I feel is unjust. The only problem with FF2 is how it doesn't explain itself well (like gear weight) but EVERY game back than didn't explain itself well. Now you can understand the system easily and hell it might be the one system that actually works amazingly well. Just pick who you want as melee, black mage, and healer and off you go to never grind. Since if you play it right you will never run in a situation where you will ever need to stop and grind.
I do say Legends 2 is better since in 1 the stat up is random which really sucks while 2 is more like FF2 where the more you perform an act you get a better chance of gaining that stat.
Neither is my favorite FF, that is tactics, but man i loved the soundtrack, fucking based battle theme, magician's tower, pandemonium, i liked firion and mindu a lot too, and how they recconected leon and ricard in final fantasy 4bin the remakes, also liked the weapons system, magic leveling system was shit tho
TC LA was also great, destructable everything, dual wielding everything, fucking dragons and zombies.
And then Sleeping dog came in and failed on every points that made true crime good
I enjoy the system but only once spend like a day reading about how everything works. Like how you really should just put everyone in cloth armor and shield and never go beyond that. And how even near the end of the game you should never have more than like 5 or 6 spells since you should spend time only leveling small number of spells.
I enjoyed Batmobile sections
with alt control scheme
SD had no content
TC have multiple martial arts and actual combat instead of mash Y to win, tons of guns, over the top story, good/bad ending and choices, actual cop stuff with tons of side missions.
Only thing SD did better is the driving but they still dropped lots of fun stuff the other games had
And fuck these faggots
Ultima is actually bugged. What it's meant to do is take it's own spell level and all other levels you happen to learn on that character to deal massive damage. However the game fucks the numbers and it never really do more than 500 damage.
It's at the very end where he explains it.
>not breaking it
DON'T DO THIS TO ME
I don't feel any guilt while having fun with games/movies/cartoons. You're all cuckolds if you feel somewhat bad for enjoying something just because some random anonymous faggot on a Chinese cartoon porno site shitposted something about it.
Assassin's Creed games
Though I've fallen behind on them
Oh god, me too.
I played the shit out of flash ones on my browser years ago and now that I have a tablet, I have 2 different Picross games on it
I mean the series as a whole. The first game is fun but the characters are terrible. Second game is shit all around. Third game is an Amalur rip-off with cringe-inducing 'progressive' segments.
Again, I like the series, but it seems like it just doesn't know what it wants to be. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just some kind of digital bumper car that Bioware throws their rookies at.
>Third game is an Amalur rip-off
Wait, what? I thought Amalur was mostly a Skyrim also-ran like Two Kingdoms II: Kingdoms. Are there original ideas within it that can be ripped off?
Most recently, Fallout 4. I hate what they did to dialogue system, dislike the renewed SPECIAL system as well, main questline with its New Vegas esque clash of four factions is flawed because faction leaders are retards, but I can't help enjoying it somehow. Maybe it's the good gunplay, maybe waifu fagging
going off average match time i have about 1500 hours and that doesn't include the endless fiddling in mechlab. Ive managed to avoid it so far this year but the urge to play is always there.
it stopped being fun long ago but it's the only thing i can play that all my good friends like.
Fandoms I have fallen into that I have looked back on and cringed:
Homestuck Persona and not SMT
Used to be a huge
Sonic-fag with OC and all that shit, biggest regret.
That being said
Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog
I know that really wasn't the question of the thread but those are the shitty things I fell into. My current biggest guilty pleasure is Binding of Isaac. I have a combined total of close to 500 hours in both rebirth on PS4, rebirth on PC and original combined. I don't have a lot of time these days between classes and two jobs, so a 30 minute run through works for me.
My roommate plays BLOPS 3 uncontrollably. He's trying to get diamond weapons on everything. So I play Isaac and he does that.
We are an apartment of shit.
Digimon World 3.
It's shit. It looks like shit. There's random battles everywhere and no repels. There's a lot of level grinding. There's no fast travel like fly but you have to go back and forth from place to place a lot of times, and the Sepikmon's mask quest is awful.
Yet I love it.
rhythm games I'm so bad at them I shouldn't be allowed to play them since pretty much any serious player would commit suicide if he saw me butchering some of the songs somehow I still love them, even if all I can clear is Easy
Dark Fucking Rift
This game was tits.
>kickass character designs
>hype final boss
It's a shame it was rated so low.
Nothing to be ashamed of, on a technical front these games are bleeding edge, the best animations and cell-shaded graphics, shit looks so authentic I sometimes forget I'm playing the game and not watching the anime.
Gameplay is simplistic yeah, butvI like it that way. Tourney fags ruined fighting games, I don't cate about your e-peen or your shit meta, i'm trying to have fun here.
Mega Picross - their gimmick is kinda weird. But overall it's a good set of puzzles. Dunno what else to say.
I beat all of them, takes around 30 hours per game. sometime more, sometime less. Latest one took 50, don't remember why tho, maybe left console open.
nah, that was most tricky part for me in GB games as well. Hard to keep a track on numbers especially when 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 or shit like that.
So I consider shadowing as little bit quality of life - even tho it makes puzzles a bit easier that's for sure.
shame even old PicrossE games cost the same. Content wise they are similar, but in later PicrossE games if it detects that you own previous games - you unlock 5 additional puzzles. (up to 15).
Yeah I have to keep counting all the marks over and over because of my shitty OCD with puzzle games like this. So the shadowing is more of a piece of mind than it making the game easier for me. Still love it even if it's 15x15 than 20x20.
Nice about them giving you bonus puzzles if you own the other games. As I said I might just buy E1 and see how each one stacks up.
I play a lot of Blops3 recently and have fun with it.
I never liked a CoD game past CoD2 which I also played a lot.
But my true guilty pleasure is
I absolutly hate them and I wish no game would have them, but when they have them I absolutly must do them.
Tfw you buy a PS3 port over a Wii U port just because of trophies.
they are all basically "more of the same" types.
Tho not sure if same company maid Pokemon Picross, cause in PicrossE you can customize controls however you want as well as punishing/not punishing mistakes, hints, etc. Also complete button controls vs Picross one which forced you to use stylus for everything aside puzzles.
anyway, I hope you'll have fun with them, seems like alright value proposition.
well that means if you'll dig them, few months of your life are sorted out.
at least if you play them on and off between stuff as me.
That reminds me, the Dofus MMO is my guilty pleasure.
It hasn't been good in years, but I still have fun with it
I see, I do so with other types of games, like RPGs and such.
For Picross - it's just whenever I have 20-30 min break, right before sleep or while cooking.
I wish I had time when I didn't feel like playing. But that sadly requires way more free time than I can afford.
each row has certain amount of filled blocks represented by number on the side. need to fill all blocks so horizontal and vertical rows won't contradict each other and make out a picture with filled rows. Not that hard of concept.
Just keep trying, anon. I put 150+ hours into Project DIVA F 2nd alone, bought all of the songs and I've aced most songs on hard and half on extreme. I plan on getting one of those artist computer tablets that use a stylus just to play Osu!
How does Picross works? Each number is how many tiles you have to fill in that row.
Where the x is just a space between the numbers. And in the end it makes a picture. Really fun just slowly uncovering it and knowing what it is before it's solved.
I fucking love niche racing games.
I've been collecting physical copies of Wipeout and Motorstorm games just so I can beat every race in the campaigns.
Watching and playing starcraft 2, even though I have literally no friends that play it. SC2 gen is dead and no one talks about it here so it feels like I'm the only one.
jesus theres a lot of cringey fucking responses in this thread, though i dont know what i expected in a guilty pleasures thread
mine isnt that bad i guess,
sometimes i play games on the 2nd hardest difficulty instead of the hardest one, but every single day i laugh at casuals on /v/
Persona 4 made me realize just how much of a weeaboo I really am.
Even though other Atlus games are way better, I still like 4
The Guitar Hero series. I've put like 200 hours into the new one because of the GHTV mode. At least I have really high scores on the leaderboards to show for it.
I haven't put a ton of time into Fallout 4 yet but I still think it's fun even with it's fuckload of problems.
I used to be able to put League here. But I've completely drifted away from it in the last year. Since the few friends that got me into it all quit.
My favorite games of last year were Stella Glow, Splatoon, Undertale and Superbeat Xonic. I don't think /v/ likes any of these.
when i play on an Emulator, i quicksaveon my favorites parts of the game, so that once in awhile i load every save, i often walk slowly in certain parts of the plot because that makes it kind more fun to me also i have 5 waifus and i can't stop getting more. help
My first one was DW2, and its barely changed since then.
Its just so much fun to fight off gigantic armies
World of Warcraft. Somehow it was still fun, up until WoD. I still "play" it because I can play for almost free with my garrison missions. At the moment I'm just hoarding gold for better days. If Legion is a piece of shit I'll probably drop it for good, my guild is dying and my server is dead, and I don't want to commit to a raiding schedule any more.
I come to /v/ to realize I am not alone. Guilty as charged here.
Any game(non vr) with a love story
It's my one weaknesses, I will totally buy a game just because one character has a crush on another
I'm also a filthy lego slut, I love those bricks and love the games
And the Sonic Adventures
I love playing around with different characters, I love just going huning in the woods and I made it incredibly more beautiful and playable with a shitton of mods.
Yes it's a shit game, but damn is it enjoyable
Persona 4 (And 3 to a lesser extent) is the trial to see how much of a weeaboo you are.
I absolutely loved both of them
I don't even like to play Dota 2, I just like dressing my characters up
Dress up is a big reason I play mmos as well (aside from rp and erp shenanigans)
I'm a hussy for animu style games
I play the sims and make harems of chubby girls for my self-insert character, than it gets to be too much and I usually move him out and in his new house he plays computer all day
I have all the Sakura games
I never deny that it has flaws and I wish it had never attracted such a cancerous fanbase, but Undertale struck enough chords with me that I can't help but call it my personal GotY for 2015. I just find it a shame it's nothing more than a source of shitposting on /v/
I only play dota like once or twice a month.
But I've almost always got a stream on in the background when I'm just browsing /v/ or writing.
Its funny how similar 1k games and 6k games are. The rage, the hate, the feeding, the toxicity.
I fucking love Dear Esther. Like, adore it. I love the soundtrack, I love the environments, I love the writing. It's a little shallow and the prose occasionally feels like it was written by an English major trying to find a use for his degree, but I can forgive it for those just because of how gorgeous everything is.
I can't listen to this and not love it all over again.
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture can go suck a dick though
ITT: spot the normalfags
except the weeb games
I'm in my 20s and I still really enjoy the pokemon games. I've played at least one entry from each generation. I don't play competitively though. I just find it relaxing to get a team of 6 interesting pokemon and play thru the campaign. Pic related has been my favorite
Well, I enjoy Fallout 4 somewhat (Though It is inferior to NV) I'm enjoying what i've played of Undertale so far (despite its lack of popularity here, and the fact that its gameplay is weak as balls)
I enjoy finding things to get angry about, then rant about them online. I do this partly cause I like to write about what makes me angry, but mostly for attention, and to deflect hate from myself for a few brief moments
Same. It doesn't help that the 20th Anniversary campaign perfectly hits all my nostalgia buttons. I bought Platinum, fully paid off the Pokemon New 3DS, and bought my first Pikachu plushie all because of social media hype. I'm even juggling several fresh Pokemon playthroughs at once
The perfect representation of the hero's journey
I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog. There was a lot of edge and cringe to it, but I found the variety of missions and branching story to be a really fun mechanic. It became addicting trying to find all the ways you could navigate through the main story.
I honestly preferred Persona 4 to 3, but goddamn did both of them make me happy finishing fully
also both of them had me in tears like a little bitch ;-;
Inazuma Eleven. Not even a shotafag, just like the Pokemon aspects of recruiting people to form my personalized super team.
>Blitzball is surprisingly engaging and fun.
You're gonna get the thread taken down, you mentally retarded tranny
RPG maker tier Hentai games.
At this point, they're more satisfying than current JRPGs.
weird one but I have a lot more fun thinking about games than actually playing them. if there's an rpg game or something like diablo, I'll spend days planning out character builds and proper gear for them, but I'll probably only play that character for a few hours before working on another idea.
yikes. Look, fair play you enjoy it, then that's all good, I could just never get past the voice acting. I thought that those involved were okay in other projects, but in RWBY it just never worked for me.
I do this all the time in Grand Strategy games. I have like five or six playthroughs planned out for CKII and the plans involve converting to EUIV too and playing onwards. They'll never happen though, not a chance.
It's hard to explain exactly what I mean, but I love games where you aren't really doing a lot, but the game makes you feel like you are because of the game feel and flashy visuals.
Good examples are Metal Gear Rising and Tales of Xillia.
Also, butt rock and Japanese people singing in German.
Same here. It really manages to create a special mood, works well as digital poetry, and
ghost spottingis fun.
Initially charging 15$ for it was madness and it's easy to be cynical and make fun of it, but as far as I'm concerned it did what it set out to do well, and I replay it once in a blue moon if I just want to chill. I even wish there were more walking simulators like it out there, but no, they almost always have to be 2deep4u SJW/meta, art before design type tripe, and The Chinese Room is partially to blame themselves (seriously, fuck A Machine For Pigs).
>games where you aren't really doing a lot, but the game makes you feel like you are because of the game feel and flashy visuals
Assasins Creed? Because that's literally it's primary selling point?
greatshield of artorias
>the game becomes just a block and attack mechanic
without almost possibility of fail with good timing
that shit is op
Sometimes I play AAA shit and actually have fun with it. It's like a rollercoaster ride.
Game takes a bit to get its updates but still love playing this despite its combat problems
I play on ps3. Invul hacks, wall clips, hacks, ability-swap.
It's such a bad game but the versus multiplayer is such stupid broken fun. Nothing more satisfying than getting some angry monkey brazilians screaming at you in their caps shitty pseudo-spanish.
Well, it is Anonymous, so I'm not afraid to admit...sigh...Final Fantasy 13. I personally think it's the best of the series, and will be until an actual real time combat system is introduced.
Well, it is Anonymous, so I'm not afraid to admit...sigh...Final Fantasy 13. I personally think it's the best of the series, and will be until an actual real time combat system is introduced..
I un-ironcally ERP
I enjoy Bethesda games
I green-text in steam IM
Why is it so much fun
>See a group of people together
>Go over there
>Before you know it, you've found some bros and you're gunning down 12 year olds in the streets
That's NOTHING to be guilty of. Bethesda are the gods of all things vidya, and never forget that. So go forth with Daggerfall in hand, out into the Wasteland. Say to all lesser developers that the king is born!
I install a lot of mods for skyrim but I don't actually play the game itself.
You aren't the only one.
I usually install a bunch of mods to make the game pretty, take a few screenshots then uninstall it.
No way, Nintendo did F2P horribly wrong two times already with Pokémon Shuffle and Nintendo Badge Arcade.
Jupiter did a decent job with Pokémon Picross I guess, but the best F2P titles are stuff like Pixel Dungeon and Plague Inc (I guess) which can be played with no roadblock.
Literally any game I can crossdress.
Also any skateboarding game with a good soundtrack
Shadow the Hedgehog.
That wreck is bad in almost every way but I keep going back to it every couple of years anyways. Sometimes I actually think the game is self-aware of how dark and grim it's trying to be but it really isn't. Fuck the ARK flashback stage, though. That level can die in hell.
I recognize the flaws but I have fun playing it.
Gears of War. Its so dudebro but thr fucking mechanics are so good. I havent played a single tps that was so fun online. Those gnasher duels were the shit.
atelier is love, atelier is life
pic related, best girl
i actually really dig the item crafting, that's what got me hooked in the first place
If you like Black Ops 3 you should really try the originals. Call of Duty 4 I find to be superior in almost every conceivable way except for graphics. I can't recommend it enough. Cod2 is also great. MW2 is tolerable if you don't run into noob tube abusers and whatnot.
out of curiosity, why crossdressing, specifically?
it sounds easier just to find any other game where you can just make a character with a bunch of good fashion sets
whole gaming thing is guilty pleasure.
i could spend time study right now. fuck
>You'll never play this game for the first time again.
Pre ordered the Limited Edition and quite frankly, I don't give a shit, this quickly became one of my favourite games of all time.
For me it's where I can be a guy and wear stockings or skirts or tube tops, really dress like a faggot. Sims has good fashion sets, you can download stuff, but I prefer a game with a little more actual action rather than being zoomed way out and managing their life
I've got a few.
>Tom Clancy's End War
Dragon Age II VERY rarely, like once a year or something when I finish DA: Origins.
>Age of Empires III. Gotta love dem cannon/destruction physics.
I love the treyarch is good meme. Infinity ward was 10/10 until Activision gutted them.
Treyarch stepped their game up starting at black ops, but before we're LOL tier. Black ops 3 is good though, best cod since mw3.
After playing either dark souls or CSGO all I want is a relaxing and
>letting a bunch of faggots on the internet you've never met convince you you should feel bad about enjoying video games
Dragon Age 2
The DLC is actually quite good, and its the only dragon age that is remotely challenging, save perhaps a few places in inquisition.Origins is probably the greatest, but you have no need for tactics or anything whatsoever even on the hardest difficulty.
I enjoy it too. Most people aren't fond of it b/c it was a strategy game made for consoles. Yet Brütal Legend is 10 times the game End War is and yet that people dismiss it so much because there are small portions of the game that changes the gameplay from a hack/slash to a strategy hybrid.
If people looked past those small moments where you had to go full armchair general and looked at the world, the characters and the designs, they should realise what a fantastic fun game it is.
You don't like armpits? I sort of distrust people who don't like armpits, bellies, zettai ryouiki and kneewings. Seems like >>324300653
is right, you're missing out my man. There's a lot more to erotica than vaginal penetration.
>I sort of distrust people who don't like armpits, bellies, zettai ryouiki and kneewings.
God yes, love a good tight stomach area with discernible navel
Blessing of the gods
You don't need to fuck every single aspect of the human body you find attractive. You can appreciate it. But your robot mind can only think of reproductive sexual intercourse, clearly.
I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite. Not a masterpiece but I thought it tried something new with the sky setting and I liked the concept of sky rails. I found Bioshock 2 to be too rehashy. Infinite was not an absolute piece of trash either.
I would say B:I was arguably the best Bioshock, because the first game was just a modern casualized System Shock II.
It doesn't feel right to fap to a shoulder, almost like wasted time. You could be cumming to quality boobs, not some girls shoulder. That's too easy, you can walk outside and see bare shoulders on your sister or something. It's not intimate like her breasts would be.
>dude bro friends think I'm their authority figure on games cuz I introduced them to some shooters, Dark Souls, and older stuff
>come to me for recs on what to play and look out for
>tfw none of them know I would rather grind in dungeon crawling weeb games
I think I'm just burnt out on all these gritty, realistic, open world simulators, and just want to turn off my brain sometimes to enjoy cute girls doing cute things while beating up monsters (some of which are also cute girls)
I guess I'll give you that, I won't argue with your personal preferences. I just think they have a really pleasant and visually appealing look to them.
I unironically love Black Tar and this is one of the best boss themes I've heard in recent history.
I like playing TriForce Heroes every few days. I think it's good in short bursts and with a good team.
These are also guilty pleasures of mine.
Apart from NLA Night time, I love the soundtrack. My favourite track is
the Skell flight music.
I have shit taste, I know. But I like how it sort of relates to the affinity mission you have to do to get the flight module.
There's nothing wrong with the flight theme itself, I think it's fantastic when you take a long flight. I'm just sick of the first 5 seconds you have to hear every damn time you want to raise your elevation a bit, it should really only start up at a certain altitude or something.
