>you share this planet with people like this
How does that make you feel?
you know what the difference is? dark souls is an actually good game, while dragons dogma is a low budget piece of shit.
it has nothing to offer, every decent thing about DD is done much better by other games.
Post 'em. This shit is gold.
The dodge is so fucking OP too. No stamina drain and seemingly infinite invulnerability frames.
Also, it's high speed, so when you can't sprint anymore, you can almost keep up the pace by switching to dodging while stamina regens.
>oh lawdy NAW!
>a game that only 70% of consolefags liked, is liked by only 94% of PC gamers!
>truly da pc ruin da game a hurf!
>time to go play soccer in flip-flops!
I don't give a shit.
Who cares that some guy likes third person ARPGs, but does not like Dragons Dogma? Who cares?
There are people who genuinely enjoy Undertale. That's what bothers me.
They can have their opinion. A few of my friends and myself are fucking enjoying this game to death.
I just don't get how he can like KoA and dislike this. For me it's the opposite. KoA was such a boring game, while DD is fucking fun.
>any of those
Not that dragon's dogma is either
DD is pretty much praised by anyone who loves it, mainly for the combat.
So calling it a SP MMO doesn't make sense, because MMOs always have shit combat. Like Kingdoms of Amalur.
well yeah, it's a monster hunter game. Just like TW3 had a lot of "exterminate" quests. If you're hinting at the "kill 10 harpies" shit, those are completely optional and just give a sack of gold and some items. You'll kill those monsters down the road anyway.
>That russian review
Kids, don't use Google translate, your sentencies become nonsensical
>the controls are needlessly clunky, needing 2-3 times the button presses needed to perform the same action as in any of the other games I listed
This guy hasn't heard of a combo before?
you're scrolling through a sea of positive reviews to find negative reviews so that you can get mad and have a circlejerk on /v/ about it
This game had mixed reviews when it came out on the consoles, why would anyone be surprised at the mixed reaction now? It's a fun game but by no means perfect, but for the people who it clicks with they should have plenty of enjoyment out of it.
Anyone still talking about the game recently (prior to the port announcement) would likely be the people who were/are super into it.
Anyway, as people who don't enjoy the game drop off over time, so the threads will eventually get better as only the fans remain.
On console, game reviews were mixed and mostly by incompetent jornos, the game had some performance issues on dated consoles, and that's about it.
PC has to deal with nothing of that sort.
Dragons Dogma has a pretty decent sized fan base too, many of those people now bought it on Steam.
It's not mixed at all for now.
There is some stuff about the size of the world being heavily cut down from what was planned.
But, hey, I love the game, on NG++ on the PS3 so I'm just happy more people get to enjoy it.
Not him but I just started the game like 15 minutes ago and the first 3 quests in the village are asking me to bring medicinal herbs to a woman, bring a lost book to a church and to give someone the news that his brother died.
Seems like fetching and killing is indeed to the tonic of the game.
>If you're hinting at the "kill 10 harpies" shit, those are completely optional
They are optional but those are still the quests the game offers. Not like that justification was good, anyways because of you disregard the side-quests the game becomes a literal mindless killfest. At least the quests add a layer of 'roleplaying' or whatever you want to call it.
I haven't played Kingdoms or Amalur so I can't weight on how close both games are though. If both are similar I'll play Kingdoms of Amalur at some point as well since I'm liking DD a lot so far in the really small amount of time I've been playing.
>That emptiness in the middle
It hits me every time i see the map but oh well.
>Russia did nothing wrong, I support Russia's right to expand? in other countries.
>I like sucking strangers, I have a custom, a glory hole is installed in my house, you can come here and receive sucking with the use of a wet mouth 100% anonymous and safe. 65+ and older please.
Not sure what the custom part even means.
I almost spat out my morning tea when I read that shit
DD has very little content after going through the game for the first time
The enemies are just rehashes and the main story isn't that long.It becomes tedious after a while because there's very little spells + things to do.
I don't see what's so gold about it.
The game has no lock on mechanic (except for spells I guess, haven't played an archer class yet). The game could use the option and let the players decide to use it or not.
The subtitles are a bit too intrusive.
The objects that can be picked from the ground can be a hard to see sometimes.
And the game doesn't have a dodge/roll except for that roll skill.
The only things that doesn't make much sense is the nauseating camera part and the controls being clunky.
You can tell when /v/ recommends a game, the user reviews get even more cancerous than usual
Before I clicked on your image I already knew this was about Dragon's Dogma, god this fanbase is so predictable.
Developers themselves admitted the game was unfinished as fuck yet you fags act like there is no reasons to dislike it.
Yes your underrated gem has flaws
Yes some of these flaws can turn people off
now fuck off
>kingdoms of amalur
>lords of the fallen
>shitshow of mordor
How can you be so proud about having such horrific taste?
You're scrolling through a discussion on /v/ when you decide it's a good idea to post a morbidly obese Amish neckbeard in a sad attempt to replies.
Is he wrong?
This thread is either:
>someone on the internet doesn't like this thing that I like and it makes me angry
>someone on the internet has an opinion different than mine, let's circlejerk over how wrong he is
Either way, it's cancerous as fuck.
>check steam reviews for game
>"I got to [something cRaZy like watch a dog fly through the air before it hits you in the head and you die]. 11/10 would do again"
>has 2hrs of playtime recorded
Oh, he'll spawn in many different spots, you can also summon him, i forgot how exactly, just know you need rancid bait. He's pretty tough, and your pawns are useless against him, you're on your own.
The Isle is pretty big with many bosses, you'll have alot of fun.
As a reminder: Any negative review under roughly 2 or 3 hours in pretty much any game is redundant. They barely even tried playing the game and at that point they might not even own the game anymore.
He doesn't recommend it, but he doesn't explain why. And his opinion is quickly discarded since the gameplay/combat system in Batman, Mormon are handhold citation garbage. There are some legitimate complains about Dragons Dogma. But they are few and can be improved upon a sequel.
Any positive review with like 1 hour playtime is also retarded.
I see that quite often actually.
Reviews where they go "I've enjoyed this game so much [long list of things he did] and then he has like 1.5 hours of playtime in a game he couldn't have played elsewhere.
A good game is a game you want to play. A bad game is a game you don't want to play. Sometimes people disagree on which games are good. That's okay.
You don't need to
Okay, wow, this guy has shit taste.
If it's a game that is available elsewhere I could maybe see that but yeah, pretty much any review under a few hours is not nearly enough time to be giving it any sort of judgement.
Really? well tell me then, what role you play? which choices you make? how many endings for main/secundary quests?
I'm playing as a rogue, or whatever it's called and I can't do any damage to these bandit warrior types, that have shields. I fucking blast them with arrows, keep slicing them with daggers, but they just stay at full hp. What the fuck gives?
Just give them the right inclinations and then never give a shit again apart from pressing E when they go down. And if they're mages/sorcerers, just give them Legion's Might and you won't even have to bother with that.
I just uninstalled the game after 25 hours played. Got to level 27. It's just not fun for me. I'm glad other people are enjoying their dress up housefly simulator, but it just feels like there's no real progression for me when playing it.
Using the same gear since level 1 barring finding a new weapon at like level 24 because everything shops sell is shit.
Using the same skills since level 4 or so, only looking very slightly fancier.
Fighting the same mobs most of the time, yay for bandits and goblins and wolves. Only once every 2-3 hours do I seem to fight something other than them.
I tried. I really did. It just wasn't for me.
The only thing i saw there was a casual day at metacritic. It's also funny how you didn't post the legendary Ninendo fanboys screenshots.
Shit opinion, demonstrating you never touched the game, aswell as falling for the memes and buzzwords of a few.
10/10 you should try it.
>Another quest in the well? Okay I guess
>What, more saurians?
>a lot for a Souls game
Over 1k in Dark Souls. Cause it had much better replayability.
I'm sure I would have had less time in BB if the PS4 had a game other than it, too.
Tbh there is a lot of branching dialogue and choices to be made, but they're done by actual actions and not a choice wheel like like most RPGs. If we aren't counting any ARPG as real RPGs then you have a point.
>Electricity works well against them
Well fuck, guess I'll have to go look for a pawn that can electrify my weapons. Thanks!
>Hard mode on this game is so bad.
This game has some serious balancing issues.
>thinks he knows enough to write a review
Why do people do this shit? Even if it's a positive review, about 30 minutes of gameplay just isn't enough experience to write a good review. Still better than those reviews saying "I did [something], 10/10" though, since they actually offer what might be actual criticism.
still better than the "I done X thing and received Y thing. 10/10"
Faggots who do this should be sent to gulags. It's not funny, it never was, and never will be, and holds no value at all.
It's just as bad. The PC version is literally the console version untouched except for implementing half decent keyboard key binds. If you thought it was shit then, you'll still think it's shit now.
kek, I never thought about the fact that you literally have no choices to make in dialogue. You just kind of read text to a pretty horrible cast of voice actors and let the game dictate everything for you.
there is an extra ending if you complete side quests
>pcucks are the only cancer
accounts like these are why I take user reviews with a grain of salt like i do critic reviews because there are many accounts made that have only one review or a bunch of reviews that are just 10's and 0's.
>buying the game again for the h-scenes
>>a game that only 70% of consolefags liked, is liked by only 94% of PC gamers!
of course they have to pretend to like it, they spent four fucking years begging for our castoffs and scraps so they can't play the sour grapes card anymore
