So how about we talk a bit about SFV, /v/, but this time those that are bad and will drop the game after one month anyway don't actually join the discussion?
I know, I know, that doesn't leave many people on here but I think we can do it!
The game felt really uncomfortable to play in beta on ps4. I didn't like the changes to my main (M. Bison). But there isn't a lot I can say because I only had about 2 hours to play it.
Might just wait for the game to expand a little after its release and see who comes in and how it actually plays.
No, some people just claimed it's gonna be the order the pic showed.
really hyped to buy this game. fell out of sfiv after super but excited to get back in. loving the newcomers and the returning characters. everybody looks so fun to play. i think i'll try ken, birdie, and necalli, but i really want to main nash. i hope one of those characters click with me
It looks like Balrog gonna be first http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2016/jan/16/i-got-hands-time-street-fighter-5-balrog-back-december-capcom-uk-mentions-first-playable-version-dlc-character/
>no more charge
>much more diverse playstyle
>top or high tier in both betas he was in
>more fabulous than ever
What is it they have done to him exactly?
>want to try and get into Street Fighter
>none of the characters in V seem to interest me
I was planning on playing Makoto if she got in, or Sakura
which says a lot about my tastesbut neither got in. Now looking through all the roster they seem pretty bland, which has always been my issue with SF.
Fang seems kinda neat though, how is he?
I find Capcom's silence a bit worrying.
I don't think they are going to post-pone the release of the game (it would be too late to announce such a decision), but the fact they don't want to talk about single player modes makes me think modes like Story Mode aren't going to be that good.
Are you really naive enough to think they're JUST developing the chracters?
The game comes out in less than a month, if anything it proves that alex and guile are pretty much done and they're working on balrog right now.
And day 1 alex would mean a shitton of sales.
They already have said what they wanted to say about the story mode.
Anyway SF is not about story but gameplay, if the story is good then cool, but if it's not then whatever, we didn't have story mode in SF4 either and we still played it.
No one really cares about story mode, hell I'm a huge autist for SF story and I don't expect much.
However it's probably gonna be those bengus style 90's art screens with fights in betweens, and they already explained how they're gonna do a long, lasting thing, so each new character adds to the game and story.
Also on top of story they're keeping arcade so.
I never got this shit.
How can anyone dislike most of street fighter characters?
Their design is simplistic enough to not be an eye sore, easily recognizable, blends with the style of the game in most cases, can quickly tell where they're from, can quickly tell what they do or the kind of moves they use, etc.
That's all good character design.
It's miles better than the random everyday shit like Tekken or the complete design rape they did to some characters like Vice in kof 13
If you're interested in Makoto then you want to play Necalli as he's very much based off her. For Sakura the closet you'll get is Karin; you don't have the godlike HP or st.hk button but the rest of your buttons are the same as her's and she plays a very similar neutral game. Her pressure game is a bit different due to no 0 or + on block tatsus but that's just how SFV is being designed.
Then he must be completely retarded because there's different styles in everything and every new main SF game is ALWAYS about mixing things up.
Either charge characters, zoners, combo oriented peeps, juggle niggers, etc.
And considering he was interested in both makoto and fang after saying the tastes thing on top of acting like he didn't knew jack shit about fighting games is pretty clear he meant, at least mainly, the design.
I know someone that shits on SF designs for being boring but loves mortal kombat "we literally recolored sub zero 5 times" and smite "the korean mmo/league effect where everything looks shiny and every girl looks like a bimbo".
It's kinda annoying.
Whens my dose of aryan yet also has a BBC?
Not really; his normals are for the most part fairly stubby and only work well for whiff punishing and pressure. Your stomps are also either neutral (HK) or negative on block so you can't use them as anything other than fishing with 2 in 1s.
Basically with Necalli you want to try and whiff punish or stuff moves in neutral as you can't really play traditional footsies. You then use that frame advantage to get in close where your normals have a lot of frame advantage and can be mixed up with your (admittedly slow and low range) command grab and DP.
That said, I don't think Necalli is actually that great. His throw range is pretty garbage and he has a lot of trouble getting in or converting from neutral due to the terrible range on his stomps. The fact that his HP buttons CCH is a fairly big nerf because it means you lose damage on a counterhit due to not being able to cancel into a stomp and continue the combo.
Got the best EX DP in the game though
Gief, maybe Alex is he's good but I'm not the kind of retard to say I'll main a character when I haven't touched them yet.
Kind of a pain, I didn't really want to play a grappler this time around but they were most fun.
Juri for Ultra but 4 was a real shitty game tbqh.
Chun, Alex, Juri and Urien in V, as they come out and probably gonna main Alex in the long run.
I more or less expected that, but I have a soft spot for dumb gimmicky characters. Nash has a bit of a cool design too now that I look at him.
I'm not really too sure what it is about it. I suppose when I first saw it I pretty much wrote it off as everyone being basically a variant of Ryu, but I didn't really know about how the playstyles worked. Before I decided that if I was basically gonna be Ryu I was gonna be a cute girl Ryu and laugh about it. I looked at Makoto since she was another cute girl Ryu and she kind of seemed fun when I checked her out though since I like fast characters.
I guess basically my issue with SF is that characters basically seemed like variants of Ryu or just not my thing (like Dhalsim or Zangief). I checked out a tournament and saw Balrog and Rose and decided that I was probably pretty stupid for writing it off and wanted to try it when SFV came out.
I think Blazblue designs are a bit too wild and overdesigned.
I like the Guilty Gear designs though, besides the edgy MC character
Mained Cammy and Abel and planning to use Karin and maybe Laura. Cammy in 5 is... meh. If you know how to block hooligan and spin knuckle you'd need to rely on her good normals. Her CA is a great punisher against projectiles though.
I wanted to play Karin the day she was announced anyway. I like her so far.
I said more like.
Obviously there's core differences since he's not a grappler but I'm reminded a lot of claps with his stomps and his neutral game does play quite similar.
More than Makoto at least.
There's about 2 real "ryu" characters which are ryu and ken.
They're basically the same but thats their thing, they trained under the same guy, but ken is the rich billionare that adds fire to his attacks and is way faster.
Ryu is the steady guy, he's much like goku, he doesn't gives a shit about saving the world but more of finding a nice fight.
Then the "somewhat ryu" chars which are akuma, gouken and dan, they have some of the same moves but even those are different and are used different.
The rest is just similar clothing, but that's because street fighter takes HEAVY influence on region AND fighting style.
This is usually what I link people
It explains some designs, the reason why the staff chose some of them and what they mean, character design wise it says a lot about the game.
Gameplay wise they're called shotos because they're based off shotokan karate, and the 5ish characters that use it are usually way different, ryu is the ground character with big damage, ken is usually the flashy more combo oriented one, akuma is the high damage glass cannon, Dan is the literal joke character that pokes fun at these similarities and other games ON ALL HIS MOVES, etc.
You can't use the stomps like the claps at all though. The whole point of the claps is that they're plus on block so they lead to mixups. The stomps are either neutral or negative on block (LK stomp is punishable) so you give up pressure to the other guy. They're more like a shitty Sakura tatsu than anything else.
cammy and cammy :^)
>tfw local scene for fighters is literally dead
>tfw the only two things that would make me buy SFV are if the release actually gets enuogh interest for locals to have more than me showing up consistntly or if
dan is confirmed
being a didgeridooman sucks sometimes, can't fucking play anyone online without lag problems in any fighting game or children's party game
>if the release actually gets enuogh interest for locals to have more than me showing up consistntly
The only way this is going to happen is if you hype it up. There's no better time to get people interested than when a new game is coming out.
Yeah this basically sums up my generalizations of SF. I basically saw Ryu, Ken, and Akuma as being basically the same thing. Then you got Sagat and Guile which I basically assumed the same when I saw they they have a slow moving projectile move that may as well be a hadouken. I guess I thought that they were all the same characters with very little differences but I kind of realize now that it's just SFs gameplay that utilizes spacing and projectiles in a more calculated way rather than spamming, with different characters using quite different means to play the same sort of game.
oh believe me i've tried
0 responses all across the board, even with the assistance of my local gaming store
it happeed to tekken tag 2, it happened for smash 4 (fighting game or no i enjoy it), it's happening with SFV
i've heard enough bullshit about other places to be fine with my current bullshit
I'd honestly just be happy if story was done ala the Alphas. Street Fighter's story isn't a grand soap opera, I'd just like to see the characters chat with one another before the fight.
The tutorial intro (with young Ken and Ryu) was alright I guess, even if the artwork reminds me of Udon Crap.
Well I'm speaking past tense, I didn't really understand the game. I just assumed that every character had the same sort of game plan with basically cosmetic differences with some characters having some difference in moves but ultimately being pretty much the same. Like, Ryu and Ken I thought were just palette swaps. Once I started looking at the game I realized that was a pretty dumb generalization.
Honestly I don't feel the changes they are doing with this game since beta 2. Beta 1 was very fun and interesting, but then they started neutering the shit out of everyone and adding weird changes. Wouldn't call it bad, but it's really boring right now.
The thing is that you have to remember street fighter 2 is basically the grounds and starting place of all recent fighting games, say, 95 upwards.
And you're quite right with that, projectiles is the main thing new people complain about but it ALWAYS has like 5 ways to punish it, issue is most of these people are new and don't bother reading shit.
Shoto characters like ryu usually use those fireballs for a bit of spacing and in combos, then stuff like guile and sagat which are ALL about spacing and zoning, then characters like akuma which are all over the place and focus on big damage, throwing fireballs even while in the air.
SF4 was highly reliant on zoning, SFV takes more from alpha and sf3 in that it's a more footsie oriented, close combat based game.
Better eat your words kid, the artist for SFV is Bengus, the original SF2, alpha and darkstalkers artist.
It's the complete opposite of Udon.
Let me guess, sf4 was your first fighting game.
>tfw wanted to buy this
>tfw was going to cancel pc pre-order
>tfw sold out in one day
>tfw only ebay triple the price available now
>tfw wont play brown cammy
its not fair.
Sounds like Mortal Kombat must tainted your views of fighting games all together. And hell I love MK for its cheesy presentation but it didn't become an actual full fledged fighter until the 9th game.
Street Fighter has been about having lots of varied playable characters. Understandably SFIV gets flack for having a lot of Shotos but that's the minor downside of making a game with 40 playable characters.
You'll definitely like that SFV is going to make it so no two characters play similarly. The importance of the V-System really spreads each fighter's play style apart. Ken and Ryu have never been more apart now.
He's not wrong, the art for SFV is pretty subpar and that Necalli in particular looks awful.
Okay I am horribly wrong the art is good. I think I was mainly disappointed by the corny VA.
Pretty cool Capcom got Bengus back, hope that means Akiman can return.
That's a good point, MK was pretty much my only experience with fighting games when I played it with my friend when we were younger. Though our experience was just spamming shit until we're dead and using the fatality input we looked up on the internet
Nah you're just not used to the shifts and usual bengus early styles.
That Lord Raptor picture you just posted is also Bengus, by the way.
It looks amateur as fuck.
I know who Bengus is and I know their work, SFV's art is just not great.
>Gameplay wise they're called shotos because they're based off shotokan karate
They're called shotos because for years we were fed this lie by Capcom of America, nowadays we know it's actually Ansatsuken but calling them ansatsus doesn't have the same ring to it.
You could say mature is a headswap of vice, and considering vice is the more popular one they probably designed her first.
And the design is still complete shit compared to her original costume.
>The fighting style used by Ryu, Ken, and Gouken is listed in their Japanese Street Fighter IV: Master's Guide bios as a "martial art rooted as an art of assassination" (暗殺拳をルーツとした格闘術, ansatsuken o rūtsu toshita kakutō jutsu); Capcom USA originally referred to Ryu's fighting style as "Shotokan", despite bearing little resemblance to the real-life discipline. Because of this, Ryu and other characters who use similar styles (such as Ken and Akuma) are still called "shoto-clones" or "shotos" by fans.
Ken wishes he was anything like rugal
Guys should I buy the Hori Rav 4 for 150 bucks or plop down 200-230 bucks for the Mad Catz stick?
No preference I want something hardy since I remember I broke my POS 360 stick with pic related
Just play Nash
Is this worth buying a PS4 for?
From what I've heard the gameplay is good, but nothing special and the roster really doesn't appeal to me outside of Karin who I only played a little of on Alpha.
Adon and Akuma
I'll probably be maining Necalli, but I really want to try Vega, F.A.N.G, and when he's released, Urien.
There is a bit flaw with offense being way too weak and there are concerns it's going to be a timeout game
NOt meaning in terms of set play, mainly because throws are so terrible and mixup is very rare
>I'll be maining a character who isn't out yet
If you play fighting games you know how much time you invest in them already and you can make a judgement on whether or not it's worth purchasing a new platform.
In any case, a multiplat shouldn't be the deciding factor of a large purchase like this.
Even that MvC2 Morrigan you posted isn't as good as the Darkstalkers 1 one from 6 years earlier.
Why would you respond with that when you're replying to a post in which I explicitly state some fighters are worth it and others aren't?
I'm asking if SFV is one that is worth it.
Well I don't know approximately how shit your taste is and this game is attracting a lot of people who have never played a fighting game properly in their life so I just assumed that you were one of them.
How can you main a character if you don't know how they play?
Just because they're returning characters doesn't mean they're gonna be the same as their original incarnations.
When people say they're maining an unreleased character, the implication is that it's tentative based on the previous incarnation or a familiar playstyle. Don't take everything so literally.
I'd be surprised if Balrog wasn't the first DLC character, simply because he is already in the background as a statue in that Shadaloo HQ level.
He'd make decent 'day 1' DLC, since it'll encourage people to start getting that fight money right out of the gate.
Is it confirmed there won't be bets? That would be such a cool mechanic that could work even for big events like evo.
2bh we know next to nothing about the game's content apart from the roster...
>Be Sagat, Sakura and Mokoto main
>"O-oh w-well at least they could be DLC..."
>DLC characters announced
Wow they're ging ham as fuck on the nickle and diming jew tactic shit huh?
capcom isn't even relevent anymore senpai once it's fighters dry up it's going the way of Konami
hit. that. lever.
Street Fighter is popular enough that it won't be a problem.
I can, at any time of the day, start up USF4 and get matches on ranked.
It's basically the only fighter on PC where I can do that.
enjoy Street Fighter 6 "we need the casual audience" adition with extra DLC and Cencorship for easily offended sensibilities in a game where people beat each other to death
tldr just keep sucking Capcom's little chinkdink
Capcom stated many times that they aren't doing a good job of monetizing their games. They are right. Compared to the competition they didn't really go for microtransactions and DLC. Playing SF4 was cheap. You had to buy a $15 update every 2 years. That was a waste of potential.
Now Capcom got smart and realizes that it is easier to make money by making all the unlockables be able to be purchased with real money to skip the grind. They also realize steady stream of content satisfies casuals and keeps them coming back.
>Hotkey spammers on PC are going to ruin it for us
>that bison grin
Why the fuck would you NOT main Bison ? He's smug as fuck, top tier in canon and ingame, fun to play especially in V and voiced by Wakamoto.
You have literally no reason to not main bison
except if you can't into charge characters, then you're excused.
Will they make the game not look like shit come launch?
I don't like his normals too much but psycho flame and his alpha projectile coming back are fun to mess with.
I'm kind of annoyed by how unsafe EVERY ONE of his specials are and no more psycho crusher.
Psycho Crusher is his CA but yeah I get you.
Also remember that the final build may (most likely) differ from what you've played during the different beta phases. Even if they're unsafe, they still made him top tier during the last beta, that just shows how strong he is. His normals are really good
Meanwhile, Tekken on Unreal.
Though the comparison is maybe unfair since I reckon they're using fairly decent PCs to power their arcades.
>implying SFV looks bad
Well, I agree that the stages are really bad, but the character models and animations are pretty good though.
unreal engine modders can fix ugly backgrounds
in comparison to SFV, that's impressive yes. But it might be unfair comparison since it's likely Jap arcades aren't as shit as PS4.
Yeah it's mostly the stages that's the problem. They need to fix some of the textures and remove those stupid 3D animated objects in the background. The character models (not Ken) are fine though.
>The character models (not Ken) are fine though.
Even Ken looks good... his dumb face aside.
>The way Ryu awkwardly snaps out of the falling animation
Even with the shitty art style, they could have at least tried to make the game resemble something presentable.
Is there like a summary on how all the characters in SF5 will play? I'm trying to decide who I want to actually play.
Just watch videos, if you can't figure out who you're going to want to play as just by that well then I don't know what to say.
Nash is my favorite so far, practically because he's a mix of Ryu and Guile.
He's got the defensive measures of Guile but at the same time he can be really fast like Ryu. I don't see how you can't say he's not like a hybrid of the two.
Hell his low/medium flash kick is closer to hurricane kick while the heavy is the traditional flash kick.
And no I am not saying Guile can only be played defensively (especially not in SFIV) but defensive play is what Guile has been known for.
I feel like Poison players would like nash. They have similar properties on the fireballs and a somersault advancing move. Nash just doesn't have a good reversal. Not that Poisons is particularly amazing but at least it's there.
Rose/Poison in USF4
Tossing up between Karin, Laura, and Vega in V until Rose reappears
>He's got the defensive measures of Guile
No he doesn't. Fireball game took a massive hit, Sonic Scythe can't AA for shit outside of EX, and his buttons are all worse versions of Guile's.
>he can be really fast like Ryu
When the fuck was Ryu considered fast?
>L/M scythe is like a hurricane kick
What the fuck am I reading
I mained her back in alpha before broken backdashes, she was even better in that game.
As for Poison I just like instant recovery fireballs and god buttons
Poison player here. I gave him a shot first beta but I don't think I could play Nash. He is way too slow, sure Poison wasn't the fastest character around, but she could somewhat move. His fireballs and flipkicks are nowhere near as good as Poisons. He also lacks the strong meaty fireball game, rekkas and ex rekka gimmicks, and invincible reversal.
I would rather play a completely different style of character than play Nash because on the surface he looks like Poison.
Most people don't know how to judge who others would enjoy playing.
You seem to want good movement, shenanigans and long buttons.
I'd suggest Karin or, now this is a little out there, Birdie. I see a lot of Rose, Poison and Makoto players going to Birdie.
>haven't touched any of the bets
>will be picking up a ps4 for this and a couple other games
I'd get it for pc but I always liked fighting games better on consoles.
Any tips for a transitioning zangief player?
My friend is a Rose main in IV and Birdie just seems to speak to him, you get some really great setups with that V-skill and his normals are all fantastic.
V-trigger movement is crazy good.
It feels extremely basic, even more so than SF4 initially felt. Combos are heavily restricted to certain buttons and many of them overlap between characters.
I feel like, just with SFxT and how it removed absolute guard, people are overhyping the idea that footsies and spacing are going to be the main elements of play when they still were during SF4 even with the stupid amount of 50/50 bullshit in the game. SFV still has its fair share of this with Mika, Karin & Laura being the easiest and safest to do it with currently.
I'll still be picking it up to play with friends but once the hype dies down I think this will end up being received worse than SF4 in the end. Of course you won't hear any of this until Capcom announce their next game, where the cycle begins again.
He's very popular in America but far from the most popular.
The outcry over him being a background character at NYCC was pretty big though.
Seems like a natural progression + i'm looking forword to having a fighting games waifu
if you're gonna play gief again note that his spds are slower and you can't really get a mix up off them on knock down.
he has even less combos now than before besides counter hit combos. lariat isn't as good of an anti air as it use to be, so you use cr fierce now.
tick throwing with him is pretty strong right now. he's more sf2 gief now.
the stages aren't the main thing you should be looking at anyway. After a while the stages will get old and in a tournament distracting yourself with dancing bears in the background will get you bodied
>all characters of IV will appear in V, too?
Hell no, there's like 50 fucking characters in that game.
>"V will be shit compared to IV" - why?
Lots of reasons that you really need to be familiar with the game to understand but it's mostly subjective.
No, not everyone is returning, not even everyone from SFII is returning.
SFV is built on hard reads and fundamentals, which 09ers think makes the game less skilled since players don't have to plink or spends hours in practice to get that one frame combo into ultra just right
>he has even less combos now than before besides counter hit combos
Acceptable, one of the reasons I mained gief was because I was always below average at executing combos.
> lariat isn't as good of an anti air as it use to be, so you use cr fierce now.
Shit, I used lariat a shit ton, from AA to dodging fireballs to messing with people's wake up.
>tick throwing with him is pretty strong right now. he's more sf2 gief now.
This is excellent, how good is kara throwing on him?
Makoto/Poison. Looking to scum Karin and pocket-scum Vega in 5. Hopefully Makoto will come back in the next character wave.
>not everyone is returning
That's a bit sad, from my noob point of view. I liked Oni, for example. But he was basically a clone, right?
>which 09ers think makes the game less skilled since players don't have to plink or spends hours in practice to get that one frame combo into ultra just right
That sounds actually great. It opens the field for new players.
My brother will have birthday on the upcoming days and I've got so far an arcade stick from mayflash for around 70 bucks. SF was never my thing, but he wanted to get into, and I want to throw in SFIV of SFV. The price difference is not important, I just want to get him the better game.
Lariat is still a good anti fireball and now can actually function as a combo ender in some cases.
No kara throws and while L SPD is longer than most grabs and some normals it's not as ludicrous as IV.
Oh, and don't forget, no green hand.
He has more in common with Hugo than IV Gief I'd say, what with the armoured normals and lack of green hand.
Because of the way V's input system works there's a lot less freedom in combos.
Oni was a clone in that he was a shoto like Akuma/Ken/Ryu but really, none of them end up playing alike.
The core cast in this game was chosen because they all play very differently from each other.
Boku no google
>Oh, and don't forget, no green hand.
God damn it, I don't know how many wins I've gotten from abusing ex green hands retardedly fast speeds.
Not to mention its ground covering abilities.
As a Hugo player the gimmick Gief tears please me to no end.
Someone fucking explain to me why I can play tekken but I'm disgustingly bad at street fighter? Something feel reallydifferent but I just don't get why I can play tekken at a decent level.
Also, do you have to have a stick for SF?
I bought a PS4 for it but I also knew I was going to get other games for it and not just SF. Lots of people are going to be playing on the system used for tournaments which is the PS4 but if you don't care about all that and don't have a PS4 then just get it for PC.
I won't say tekkens easier, but tekkens one of the few fighting games I know that button mashing will actually come out on top of mid lvl play or lower.
So do you resort to button mashing?
That really should be removed.
It's clearly a bug and as much as I want him to have retarded tech that's really ridiculous.
Really hoping EX Air SPD still beats DPs though, it's a hard read and easy to punish so it seems like a fair tradeoff.
>They still haven't gone back and fixed standard Ryu's gelled tips
Why? Hobo Ryu's hair looks so much better
No, at least, not anymore I think. There's just something different. I find it hard to pull off a string of moves in street fighter whereas I can easily pull off a chain and a juggle in tekken. Something is definitely different in terms of combos.
Of course I have very limited knowledge on this topic so I need someone to clarify this for me.
Hugo has a lot more low level gimmicks though and that's the problem. Random EX Greenhand is a huge risk against anyone who knows what they're doing the same as going for YOLO Meat Squasher so you can oki.
>month away to nothin personnel kid
SF4 is, was, and will always be shit and SF5 will follow in its footsteps.
I'll stick with actually playing an good sf game.
>we're nearing launch date
>I still don't have a way to play
Necalli really looks great and easily the best model compared to the rest of the cast. The texture on the skin looks great. nobody else has that
I think Mika's model is easily the worst
It's simple just play
the way mike ross play street fighter
Chun and I'm not sure who to main in SFV since I heard Chun is garbage.
Who's the top tier right now?
dunno all characters on beta III had good textures on 1440p
Nobody has those textured pores like Necalli.
I'm assuming it's because he's basically naked so it's a good place to put all the resources. whereas everyone else has various little doohickeys and accessories that need texture work. It also makes him looking more serious than the other characters. Necalli looks downright GORGEOUS compared to everyone else in the game.
Looks fuckin weird compared to everyone else though.
Ryu looks insanely detailed as well.
I mean, look carefully at his model and then look at someone like Ken. You can actually notice the difference between the two models, ugly face and hair aside.
Chun is top tier as fuck in this game
It looks like this
>Unknown Tier but probably mid
I think we can all agree that no one in this game is really a low tier as of yet
I honestly think he was one of the first one to be modeled and it just took to long to get that level of detail for the rest of the cast so they had to reduce the time on characters creation
Vega was only god tier in beta 2 after which he has been nerfed immensely.
Since your list isn't alphabetical I'm assuming it's in order of best to worse, so I'm assuming you think Necalli is the worst. This only proves your list is shit
Ken Masters and KEN MASTERS
With some Cammy, and probably pocket Karin.
Mika and Chun also look kind of fun who knows.
Also im really fucking excited for Alex so if he's good im gonna be putting in major time with him.
make one of your own then
this is a discussion after all
putting a character in low tier at this point doesn't do them justice
That being said the mid tier could just be the low tier but i decided to put god tier to better separate the better characters
bet people play only character that has good v-reversals. vega reversal is shit for instance he just backflips while other characters can do damage and push opponent away
I doubt it; V-Reversals are pretty bad and the pressure game isn't that strong especially because it generally resets to neutral after each combo.
Right now the only character who doesn't feel that good is Necalli. Maybe Laura as well as she has trouble converting hits to damage safely.
i used them often. vega vskill barely hit anyone so it was better to spend them to get stun meter away if opponent got good offense.
counter food analogy
if you're at a chef summit where people are submitting dishes for testing, while you are welcome to call a dish shit, you will be expected to put forward one of your own
because we're chefs
at the summit
It's not an easy thing to use.
Not obvious when they should be used or how, plus they don't do real damage and use up a valuable resource.
Personally I like Ryu's the most, even if it is hard as dicks to build.
Cammy/Cammy because I'm a huge waifufag
they should had atleast change her in some way. everyone just waits to get that preorder outfit.
its pointless to be talking about tier lists right now. Also, I don't think there are going to be any characters that are absolutely garbage. I think they all will be competitive. Rashid was probably the worst in the last beta. But still good enough to be competitive.
>Broken, will be nerfed to shit, 70% CC combos ain't staying tier
>Pretty decent tier
