I made a Sorcerer roleplaying as Nina from Breath of Fire 3 and my pawn is basedgod Kevin "Hercules" Sorbo.
Arisen on the left. I think they look ok not the best and not the worst.
Am I supposed to just be aimlessly wandering around killing shit? I picked up every quest I found on a billboard in the town, then I went out into the world and started slaughtering bandits and wolves. Then I found a manticore and killed that, too.
I mean I don't mind killing shit since the combat is the core of this game, but am I supposed to be going somewhere?
i have no desire to do the main quest
i just want to wander around the port town you start in and the encampment and the surrounding areas for all time just fucking shit up with my qt3.14 pawn
It's so easy to get lost in the sidequests, especially with the main story quests being so... meh.
Just keep exploring if that's what you wanna do, anon. Might unintentionally run into a sick boss which is always fun.
In general: escort quests are very, very optional.
Always pick up board quests that involve killing or collecting things; you'll finish most of them naturally as you move through the game. After key quests, the world updates slightly. It may or may not be worth checking earlier hubs and quest boards after those times for new quests. Otherwise the real progression is laid out explicitly for you. If you've reached Gran Soren you need to talk to someone in front of the Castle to move the plot along.
Me on the right.
Anyone else playing Magick Archer? Sometimes I'm pretty sure my bow does literally no damage to certain enemies, so maybe they are highly resistant to magic or their armor is too high to be damaged by my bow. Anyone got any advice for an aspiring magick archer? Like where I can get the next best bow preferably. Level 22 currently.
Also no one has hired my pawn yet ;_;
Is your pawn meant to look like Chloe Moretz or is that just a coincidence?
Also I have zero idea about Magick Archer dude but the little I did dabble in it on PS3 I enjoyed, keep at it if it's what you wanna do.
old salty commissar and healslut reporting in. Ignore the rapegnome in the background
Oh yeah and anyone know about changing inclinations for main pawns? I went to the guy and got the challenger potion but it only changed her secondary inclination. Main inclination is guardian from when she started as a mage.
Nah, I didn't even know who that was until I googled her. It's alright but I just feel like I'm not doing enough damage and it's infuriating. I just wanted to try it out because people speak so highly of it but honestly I enjoyed mystic knight the most so I might just change back to that. Bitterblack isle would be easier with a ranged character though so I guess I would change back to magick archer for that or hell might even train in Ranger myself for it. What class would you guys say the best suited BBI?
Pic is my main pawn before I changed her a bit.
Your magic bow skills have an elemental type. Shooting undead with seeker bolt will do decent damage because its element is holy, while threefold bolt's element is ice and will not do as much damage to the same enemy as undead are not weak to ice.
>tfw pawn is "helping" other people behind my back without telling me
Roleplaying as a German girl on New Years Eve night about to get groped by a warmly welcomed migrant.
Pawns have two inclinations, a primary and a secondary. If you give a pawn an inclination potion that isn't one of the two it already has then the new inclination will replace the secondary one. If you want a certain inclination to be the primary then it must already be in the secondary position and then another potion of that inclination must be given to bump it up to primary.
Pretty happy with how mine turned out.
>That colour grading in the sky
I'm starting to warm up to my bootlegs
Nathan is my pawn, hired Lozenge because i felt i needed an archer
Sitting at character creator wondering if I should go with this Ganon motherfucker.
I always keep Rook around for as possible. Once he gets knocked back the rift, however, I don't bring him back, but it's fun to see how far i can carry him through the adventure.
>best available warrior at my level is a loli
My pawn used to not have pants. I liked her that way. Then when I switched her vocation, she had pants again. Damn shame.
Which one of you fuckers did this?
he was a lvl 19 god and my favorite
Our one true lord and savior. Gaben.
Where do you get a nice looking shield?
All the shields I've come across so far have been really ugly. I just got to Gran Soren.
I don't know why but the facial hair looks light as fuck on my face.
Why does yours look different?
Would adventure with/10
Into the brine.
You can change the colour of the facial hair
Told you assholes I'd do it.
The arisen itself I didn't actually care much for the design. Anybody else who has a lot of fluttering on the hair and clothes?
There's two different "light facial hair" options like that.
One of them is much more noticeable.
Also, make your facial hair the darkest brown or black that you can.
This is probably where you'll say
>But you can't make your hair and facial hair different colors
Yes you can.
Would you let this man pound your bussy?
I'm finding it hard to resist using those queen clothes that I got in Gran Soren. I like how my pawn looks a lot more, but those stat increases are insane
Sir Friendly is always ready to block attacks and hold down enemies for you
He may also help you get fit
Arisen on the right pawn of the left
Not satisfied with Sorcerer, I think I'll make her a ranger or something
I made Gigantón or "Bigmouth" for burguerclaps, non underage will probably know where is that thing from.
with my top lad the interdimensional sex tourist Tot-Amon
R8 my warrior duo.
The Dark Arisen is now a pawn?
Excellent. Like, really.
Is it Ciri with him? If yes, you dun goofed.
>Arisen is not a sorcerer
It should. And your pawn is a solid 8/10
I made a goblin pawn
was gonna make him older and uglier but I figured this would make it slightly more likely that someone would even bother renting him
>all those shitty "waifu" mage pawns in ugly DLC dress and with guardian inclination
>Says the guy posting a waifushit ridden reaction image
Post a better brown.
i just wish her tits didn't jut out like she's wearing a bra from the 1960s
The pawn is qt. Your Arisen looks too much like an actual nigger so it's a big negative.
I have a ton of weeb bastards on my friends list.
So I made Saber Nero.
Except it looks like she has downs syndrome.
I made her a fire mage because why not and apparently she is the worst pawn ever, and all of my weeb friends cried and bitched about how ugly/terrible she is.
>Also no one has hired my pawn yet ;_;
Rental rewards are bugged. No one is getting them. The only way to tell if your pawn has been hired, right now, is to see if they have information on unknown foes or quests.
I tried to switch to the warrior class the first chance i got but then i found out that i could not get a weapon for that class in the towns shop since i had not progressed long enough in the story. Is there a way to get around this?
heres my combo.
princess and her bodyguard
i want to change from stryder but dat skullsplitter. it absolutely wrecks man.
which class should i change to for decent passives?
Pawn is supposed to be Ginko from Mushishi. I doubt anyone has hired him.
I like how they turned out. Arisen right, Pawl left.
My game is fucked so I can't play anymore though.
Did you guess that my pawn is based off
Here's some general advice for everyone except warrior because fuck you he hits like a truck anyway.
Use skulls and str/magic boosting items when fighting big enemies. Defense is subtractive, so if you stray too far you WILL do literally 0 fucking damage. If you curse them with skulls and pop some of those russian talisman shits you'll still do decent damage. Also rusted items cause torpor so upgrade and use those fucking things.
Guys I'm stuck in the Cypher quest, it teels me to go to some place called Hillfigure Knoll, but it doesn't matter what road I take to go there it's full of direwolves that will kill me with 2 or 3 hits, I died like 5 times already and it's becoming frustating. I'm level 23 and there are no other optional quests to help me level up, and I don't think that would help me much anyway.
would you hire her?
inclinations are challanger/mitigator
feel free to take her for a spin if you like.
>Can you change your/pawn appearance later on in the game?
Yes, you can even change it early in the game provided you have enough Rift Crystals, you can buy a tome of Secret of Metamorphosis from a guy in the first encampment you go.
>Is it best to switch to a controller?
My Arisen shooting while my pawn spins around like crazy. I need to take a normal picture one of these days.
Any way to romance Mercedes after I've done Duchess in Distress?
Alright lads, how do I dragonforge the panties when I have a male character?
This is my pawn, please rate her. She has been through several iterations, but now has proper Inclinations for a Ranger, is no longer a loli, has an appropriate hair color for a human being and is really useful.
Would hire if mine wasn't the same sort of class.
You need some clothes missy.
Use the art of metamorphosis to be the little girl. Kill dragons with it until they are forged then change back. Cursed dragons in endgame have a 75% chance to dragon forge 3star gear. Gregori and Ur-Dragon have 100% chance for all gear I think.
Rate my arisen and try to guess who my pawn is modeled after? (Face only atm.)
No, if you haven't made her fall in love with you by that time, then there's nothing you can do.
Do her escort quest and give he a couple of Cloudwine, which you can get from Reynard.
I don't get it. I gave Gold Idol to Caxton, but none of the items it was supposed to unlock appeared. Do I still need to progress game to some point to have them appear or what seems to be the problem? It was not Gold Idol forgery I gave him.
You need to be level 35 or higher and far enough into the story for his wares to show up.
Also you fucked up, Caxton only gets new weapons, Madeline gets slut wear in her inventory.
Is there a certain level/time you're supposed to go to BBI? I went there by accident at like level 8, didn't know if I was supposed to be there/could get any benefit from it or not so I just left.
I hope they took shit offline to fix rent rewards
>wandering around, lvl 43
>after getting some spring water, see the drake
>decide I'm overleveled enough, give it a try
>retarded pawn keeps enchanting my weapon with fire
>have to slooooowly whittle down its health with threefold bolt
>five hours later, he dies
>dragonforges my 1* Galvanized Razors
Shame it didn't dragonforge my magick bow, but oh well
Well sheat / unsheat your weapon in-front of her. Carry her, throw her etc. this lowers her affinity. Unless you have finished Aelinore's questline, then it's 50-50 chance. Unless the games picks whomever is the first to reach maximum affinity.
What's the best thing to do on the way to mystic knight?
I've got high fireball and lighting bolt, now i've swapped to sorcerer.
Should I stay as mage to unlock some more spells/augments before moving to sorcerer?
Finally starting to look like proper adventurers.
Reminder that goblin bullying is a must
>Kill the ogre before it unleashes its glowing penis
WHEN ARE THEY GOONNA FIX THE FUCKING PAWN SYSTEM
My Pawn look like my Arisen but with a different haircut.
Name my band /v/
Arisen on the left, Main Pawn in the middle back.
Stronk orc Arisen with young elf girl mage pawn. Is sword and board MK any good or should I just go full RIP AND TEAR warrior?
Oh, forgot to mention. That pawn in front is a "trap". It's a male character made to look female, but is ugly as sin and still has male voice type 1. Whoever made that go back to the drawing board.
Just for taking better screenshots? Sounds like a good idea actually. Not that I mind the watermarks.
I was having so many fucking issues with running out of stamina on Hard mode but I didn't know that mushrooms could take you out of the winded mode so now pretty much every fight looks like its a mushroom induced rage.
>2 hours in
>Go to Dark Arisen place accidentally and get my shit handed to me
>Change my vocations on my pawns
>Tried to journey all the way to the castle from the start, realize I have no weapons I can use now for me and my pawn
>All my pawns die, I'm a little girl with no man to protect me anymore
>Struggle through the harpy place without getting caught or raped by goblins
>Get to castle door
>Dragon's Dogma.exe has stopped working
Me and my pawn. Brown girl is pretty hot too, congrats who made her.
Here is my Arisen can't seem to find the pic with my pawn. anyone know where the pic taken with the in game camera get saved to?
Gifts are going to be shit anyway. The rc thing sucks but just use cheat engine till it's fixed. It's a simple search for the rc value.
The rest with ratings and messages doesn't really affect gameplay so big loss.
Are you going to restart the game once they fix the pawn reward system?
I met your fatso on the first day.
Should've throw him into the brine for a giggle.
I think I crammed too many fetishes into one character.
r8 and h8
be nice to my pawn he has radiation sickness
>no one hires my pawn
sorry she's not a loli mage i guess
Is is? Maybe I'll get into when I see it working. But the only thing that really seems to be missing is getting rc from the pawn system and like I said, cheat engine that shit.
The feedback is all pretyped stuff anyway. Don't know, will see how I feel when I see it working.
Why everyone laugh at me for wearing the party hat?
Stop laughing at me!
>tfw you run all the way to the bandit hideout to get the grimoire but all you get is a lousy t-shirt
I bet the lolis did this...
These fucking lolis man
You're all degenerates everyone of you
No reason to be envious, you can hire my loli pawn any time boy.
I wasn't going to jump on the waifu train, but bow wielding redheads are my biggest weakness. On a related note, I'm not very happy with how my pawn turned out: where can I change their appearance?
Is the wind even pushing you, senpai?
They're easy once you have the map fully explored. You just go to the area the quests require and drop a port crystal, pick up the quest and waystone there.
The tricky one is Selene because there are 2 (or 3?) healing springs and she wants to go to the northmost one.
How do i rename my character in the creator?
Pressing backspace only deletes one character of the name and then takes me back a whole fucking menu
A or B hair style for my Bronn pawn.
He's going fighter / strider.
I aged my Arisen and pawn up a bit.
The pawn still looks like a boy, but at least she has small, budding tits now.
Mercedes is kinda shit too because its one of furthest ones and takes you directly past the fucking drake. On the other hand she's actually a pretty good character so it's like you have a five man party.
Anyone got a recommended sorcerer skills set?
I currently carry Great Ingle, High Miasma, Maelstrom, Bolide, Gicel and Holy Boon and fight fine in most circumstance but don't feel well equipt when most fights is casting Boon if its a skeleton, casting Miasma, casting Ingle to alight it and then if there's time to cast going for a higher tier spell or just more ingles.
>Not playing as a kid going on his grand adventure
So, can you meet the duke after you bring the hydra's head to gran soren? I though Mercedez said something about meeting the duke, but I started doing sidequest and I don't remember what to do anymore.
>DD was The Neverending Story all along.
As soon as you hit Gran Soren (it's directly after the Hydra head escort quest), you'll get a bunch of DLC armor.
Which is more powerful than anything else available for a long time.
Some of it looks cool though, I guess, but it does feel a bit like cheating due to the fact that they're so powerful.
Could somebody post the comparison image of DD,Dark Souls and Skyrim?
How do pawns equip items?
I bought a couple of clothes for my basic bitch and gave them to her on the equipment screen, but she not wearing them.
Also, do regular pawns gain experience or am I suppsed to simply throw them away when I outgrow them?
Chuck 'em. If you like 'em favorite 'em so you can resummon them after their owner levels them up.
Also to equip items on your main pawn go to the equipment menu then press page up. You'll have to do it manually.
If only I'd made my Main character Letho
You have too much fucking time on your hands.
You literally took 12 screenshots, cropped them, and then pasted them into an image program in order to show every angle of your "creations." Which, by the way, is a bit of a stretch, as all you did was move around a few sliders and select a few colors to make what we're looking at.
When will you degenerates learn that nobody cares
8/10 on both, theyre pretty good
Yep, go to the Barber Shop in Gran Soren.
Only costs 3,000 to change everything including voice. Change the facial expression to see what the voice sounds like other than grunts and growls, because I made this mistake twice and had a fucking man voice for my pawn.
(I apologize to anyone who picked her up in that state, with a deep man voice and no staff to cast spells with)
>not playing as Knights
Plebeians, the lot of you.
>helmet face guard close outside of cities
More games need this
Kind of generic but I'm liking it so far.
Yes, but don't play on hard mode solo unless you really hate yourself. If you feel like you must then at least have companions for the first few hours until things stop oneshotting you.
>tfw the customisation in this game
WHY don't more games do underclothes/overclothes, it's so freaking good.
That would be pretty cool too, but a lot of work.
I've heard people say they've done it, but I'm not a piratefag so I couldn't say how exactly. I think fucking capcom themselves might have released instructions on how to do it without causing too much trouble with your file, though again I just heard that from some anon here so take it with a grain of salt.
There is. All you have to do is convert your save into a text file, change the ID at the bottom to your Steam ID, and it should be compatible. Also works for consoles saves apparently.
>I don't know shit about photoshop so i assume for others it takes 3 hours to do an edited image
Get your fucking 8 and put it up your ass, faggot.
My shitty Arisen isn't impressive at all. Can't find a direwolf cape (might have to spam Jacey or whatever his name is, fuck) and all the midgame light armour sucks ass.
But I thought my pawn looked alright. Not hired once. PS3 situation 2.0. Kinda bummed me out but whatever, I can just do the Under Another Sky quests for Rift Crystals.
thanks, guess it really doesn't make sense what so ever from a business PoV to make transferring save games from pirated versions to legitimate ones difficult in any way
hiring is fucked up anon. you pawn only gains knowledge in other worlds atm. it does NOT bring back items, reviews or rift crystals
i imagine its because of the game selling too well, servers dead
First time playing this, beat the tutorial Hydra.
Is there going to be a ramp up in Difficulty? Because I'm feeling like having a shitload of Pawns around is going to hamper my enjoyment of this game.
I want it feel kinda like Dynasty Warrior's with me rolling with a large posse, but if the monsters are this easy to beat up then I'm just gonna get bored.
I guess what I'm saying is does the game become easy with too many Pawns or does the difficulty adjust accordingly?
Dragon's are angels. Angels work for god to keep the world spinning. If you kill the dragon. You are forced to kill god. If you kill god, you become god. If not, you die or are forced to live for an eternity without your heart and go mad just like the ancient one and his pawn. But in doing so, you have to sacrifice the one you love the most.
The Dark Arisen was a pawn who rejected the endless cycle of death and destruction and was cursed because of it. He ended up killing his waifu and becoming a demon.
Enemies are a set level in the world so you can be traveling around and get your shit pushed in by the sudden appearance of a Drake or even higher level bandits. The game being too easy isn't really an issue.
No idea. It was great too. Listened to that shit ever time I booted up Dragon's Dogma.
He didn't set it's wings on fire, or jump on it's head as it started to fly away and knock it back down the the ground.
>mfw I avoided traveling to the other side of the world the first time I did that quest with the griffin
Pawns don't really do much unless you have a really good one. I like to just roll with my main and a riftslut healer in case of escort quests, most of the time.
If you can handle bandits fine then that's pretty much the difficulty's top until drakes or postgame enemies.
she fucking caught me when a harpy dropped me from like 10 stories up
shit was tight
free camera when?
I want to min/max my player and pawn so I need some help
For my end game ranger pawn it would be basically
And for my magic knight main character the best would be
Is that about right?
I enjoy playing as fragile builds even if the extra damage is minimal so I wanna get this right the first time around since I don't have as much time to play
Firstly, you wont be fragile because all characters at level 200 are undefeatable godray shooting tanks
And second, totally missing the point of the game and wont get any enjoyment out of it minmaxing, you wont notice and power difference at all because there is none.
MA is the strongest class in the game.
But it has shit stat growth. Therefore if you want to make it the strongest class in the game, you have to min/max the hardest.
So you'd probably end up with 90 levels as sorcerer, 40 as assassin.
Oh and that's after level 100
When you're leveling ranger from 11 to 100 it's 2 points of magic defense and 4 points of attack.
I'm gonna need to look into this more not sure what stats are absolute musts by end game.
I just found out about how complex is leveling up a ranger pawn
Apparently you need to reach at least 4K of stamina if you want it to be even remotely useful and you also need to keep Scather on the lowest possible at all times, which is near impossible if you are not a ranged yourself.
Why does the Arisen enjoy the stupid banter of mindless villains so much?
>only ever play sorcerer
>have my pawn as a sorcerer too
>everything works out fine
Feels good knowing I don't have to do any of that annoying shit.
Just shoot gigantic fucking meteors or cause massive tornadoes ontop of everything. And then laugh when I one shot everything.
>finally get augment that should make me more resistant to spell interruptions
>still get interrupted everytime someone or something hits me
What a fucking pointless sorcerer augment.
> He didn't make Eli/Kaz/Ocelot/EVA/Paz
And you had such a good arisen too. Such trash.
>people using the free armor that you get for upgrading from DD to DDDA
instantly Sent Away.
I checked them out and they all seem really bad when you consider it's a full set everytime, only the one Aelinore wears is good for some reason
There's a ring you can use in combination with the augment so you'll not get interrupted most of the time
Brown muscly barbarianfu and a loli mage
Original do not steal
She should get Loomis supplements
>can't decide whether to go ranger or stay strider
I can't decide...
Rate mine, plox.
Good average face. The heterochromia and scar kinda make her look overdesigned. I understand that you wanted to do a blinded eye, but it just doesn't work, imho. Try using the closed Gattsu-eye instead?
>calling that brown
kill you're self
along that line
