The game's alright so far, made it to level 7 and I'm having fun, but there are a few things that bother me as a real golf player, like the fact that you can't chose between a hook and a slice depending on where you are on the fairway, it's decided randomly when you hit the ball. The ball physic could be much better because it doesn't make sense sometimes.

But hey, for a free to play game it's alright.

I remember going to a golf club back when I was in sixth form, I spent a year on that thing just learning how to swing properly and by the end of it I was still shit and couldn't hit the ball properly or consistently. This was after a year of practice and with a coach reviewing my swing, correcting form, etc.

My dad has been playing golf for years and I think he stopped recently because he couldn't get consistent results from his swings and he wasn't enjoying it. This after spending who knows how much cash on the gear, club fees, etc.

I still remember having to caddy for him and tromping all over golf courses in mediocre weather. Fuck real golf.

Videogame golf is okay though. It's my favourite minigame in GTAV, at least.
