Daily reminder that
Hunter set>Elite set>Red Knight set>Farahm set>power gap>Duck armor
Fluted is the best armor. Please kill yourself.
Considering I see hunters regularly withstand multiple hits from beasts and then have the ability to heal back to full health 10 times per fight, I think armor would actually be pretty useful.
DS3 > Elite Knight = Fluted > Farahm > Hunter.
Armor >>>> Coat, always.
Fluted > Red > Elite > Hunter > Farahm
What are you guises favorite non main armor sets for each game though?
Dark Silver/ Binded Cross
Caterina/ Black Knight/ Giants
Sentinel Set/ Minotaur hat
IDK enough about DS3's armors yet.
>not Alva, the true poster set for DkS2
Fuck Bamco for forcing Faraam .
Technically there IS metal armor that you can wear (without compromising your mobility like the dead knights in the Chalice Dungeons), but then again it's only paper-thin silver plating that wards off "blood of ill-intent", so it wouldn't really do much more than a thick coat.
There's actually plating underneath that's covering the chest, it's just hard to see from that picture. It almost doesn't look like there's plate there because it curves at a weird angle and practically conforms to the stomach.
I like the Red Knight's set
JUST BURN MY SHIT UP
Fuck off pleb.
King's Field 2 > Shadow Tower > King's Field 1 > Dragon's Dogma > Demon's Souls > King's Field 3 > King's Field 4 >Dark Souls > Bloodborme > Lord of the Fallen > Dark Souls II
>those gaps for the codpieces they removed
>not dazzling foes with your glimmering armour
You're right, let's stick to traditional art that always depicted events with complete, total realism and never exaggerated in any fashion whatsoever.
reminder Alva is the true successor armor for DaS2
its the one in the emote icons just liked fluted and elite were before it
its all thanks to this trailer that has nothing to do with whats in game that was outsourched to some random western company.
they are the reason faraam was forced to be the cover armor instead of alva
This shit ruined Dark 2's already weak lore presence.
>well the fans liked Dark Souls so we'll put all the gear in
>but directaru-san, how did this gear actually get there and why is it still in pristine condition after all these years?
>za flow of timu is convoruted!
It makes no sense for the Elite Knight Set to still exist thousands of years into the future.
If it's the actual set then it would have been destroyed long ago.
If it's a new set then it makes no sense for it to exist as that sect of knights were disbanded long ago.
It makes no sense at all. Fuck off with your fanfiction crap.
I loved the DLC but the revelation that there was more than one set of Havel's gear was really fucking disappointing.
And the guy didn't even have his set the whole time, it was implied he got it out of a chest somewhere. It was just sitting there in the Sunken City.
Ah, I see. So someone went around Lordran, collected every armor set and then somehow brought it to a specific point in time and distributed all that gear around Drangleic.
That makes perfect sense.
another bit proving alva was the original intended cover armor
fluted = starter armor, or can get it in 3-1, about an hour into the game or earlier
elite knight = in dark root, hour into the game or earlier
alva = from the armor trading after doing some of his quest steps, hour or earlier into the game
faraam = in fucking drangleic castle, well into the final 1/3 of the game, and in a hidden area of it you have to open a soul locked door and then fall down a hole to get into
It's not a neat cameo for a series known for it's lore and world building.
Dark 2 was an abortion, and I hope Dark 3 doesn't do any of that shit. Maybe bring back a few really legendary items, but have them worn over time, or give them special significance. Don't just put random basic armor from Dark Souls around the game without any proper reason for it to be there.
that time travel bullshit has no relevance to the game outside of manus.
its just a simple lampshade hanging for why you can summon people for multiplayer who have progressed farther than you have, or you being summoned to them
Yes, in a series that has previously prided itself on the lore and everything have some purpose or reason.
Let's just put a big low poly model of a Mario snowman enemy as a boss, why not? It doesn't matter if it makes no sense.
Yeah dude, instead of discussi- wait, no - SHILLING a video game we ought to be writing a bunch of inane false flag posts for everything under the sun, or angrily debating how reddit everything is. Why else would we be here?
>I loved the DLC but the revelation that there was more than one set of Havel's gear was really fucking disappointing
>Havel hanging out the the undead burg
>Havel armor is in a chest in Anor Londo
and before you say something retarded "lol someone just put his armor in those chests after you kill him"
Those chests are still there even if you dont kill him
>And somehow they're still there a thousand years later?
I wasnt even trying to justify that, im just calling you a retard for thinking Havels armor was ever a one of a kind set when the armor itself says his legion of knights all wore it.
fluted set is top tier, faggot. and that's not nostalgia talking, I played DaS, DeS, and DaS2 one right after the other (in that order) within the same four month span.
Hunter set is alright but after getting the Gascoigne set in BB i basically never wore it again
Brador's set is one of my favourites
Souls needs more skinned beast sets.
Well, shit, guess I'm wrong. Dark 2 was actually a pinnacle of game design.
I guess Dark 3 should have every single weapon, armor and spell from the previous games. None of them should have a reason to exist either, because it's just a game and it's not like the series is known for its in depth backstory and world building.
>Iron tarkus dies ages ago
>Loot his armor and it's perfectly fine
>Find his armor in a chest halfway across the land
>Kill one of gwyn's 4 knights
>Buy his armor from some guy hundreds of years later
I like basic Knight Armor too, but DaS3's looks like shit you guys. There's no creativity whatsoever.
stop being an autist.
you act surprised that popular stuff from DaS shows up in it's sequel. And this is somehow a dealbreaker, when the series is already known for, such other realistic concepts as Dragons, Demons, immortal undead zombies that feed on souls, a world powered to a primordial fire, and time travel.
but nope, a few armor sets or weapons surviving the test of time is just too unrealistic and make no sense.
When choosing armour in Dark Souls I always based my desiscion on
Rolling Type>Fashion>Defensive Stats.
I spent 90% of the game in Elite Helm, Hard Leather Armour and the best Gauntlets and Boots I could still fastroll with.
Havels Ring, FAP ring and an assload of endurance meant I was using Havels Gauntlets and Boots by the end of the game.
I wish I could find a specific name for this kind of genre of art. There's something I love about exaggerations of power in a religious hierarchy with that blend of fantasy like in pic related.
it looks really cool at first before you realize the top half and bottom half look like different sets and there's no need to have a fur coat on fucking metal plate armor
That actually looks much better in game. I'm glad the steel isn't purple like the concept art suggest. Fucking purple plate makes no fucking sense. I'm looking at you, Alonne knights.
