Bloodborne, a game about transformation:
>humans transforming into beasts
>humans transforming into ayys
>ayys transforming into humans
>bosses transform mid-fight
>music picks up and transforms with the boss
Has there ever been a game this thematically consistent?
>SHROUDED BY NIGHT, BUT WITH STEADY STRIDE
>COLORED BY BLOOD, BUT ALWAYS CLEAR OF MIND
>BEASTS ARE A CURSE, AND A CURSE IS A SHACKLE
>ONLY YE ARE THE TRUE BLADES OF THE CHURCH
what did he mean by this?
The entire game revolves around motifs of flawed imitations and trying to revive things from the past. Think of the Lord Souls that ended up in Drangleic, think about the Old Dragonslayer, think about Aldia trying to revive dragons, think about the sunbros following old legends and the miracles all being reconstructed historical rituals and the gods being things people have revived in an attempt to find something to worship.
Dark Souls 2 is about being an imperfect imitation of something that came before.
Trees are stationary and aren't trying to actively kill the lumberjacks.
>swing it around like a sword
If anything you swing it like a hammer. Plus, it has a stationary buzzsaw mode.
HOLY SHIT WE WERE SO RIGHT TO PUT THOSE BIRDCAGES ON OUR HEADS WE GOT SO MANY COOL IDEAS!
>Oi, kisama! You think you can come hunt beasts on OUR turf ?
that brings up another issue with the saw: it's depth of cut. the blades on the saw are tiny as fuck. they would only register as papercuts against any of the bigger beasts and kin in BB. Furthermore, the machinery that powers the blade keeps you from sinking the teeth further into the target, like you can do with the Axe, saws or swords
How does Ludwig know what a Spartan is?
WAKE ME UP INSIDE
They processed dead bodies into eyes for Choir and Mensis, bone ash dust for hunters, and threw the meat to the dogs.
No one in Yharnam gets a decent burial, according to the Crowfeather set.
alright, sword types are one thing. if it looks like a dog, barks like a dog, and acts like a dog, it's a dog.
but spartans are an entire culture, not something as simple as a sword type. it just goes a little beyond my suspension of disbelief
I couldn't play Fallout 4 because of how scientifically inaccurate it was. It didn't just bend the rules of science so much as explicitly shat on them.
However, I feel that this is the lesser of two evils.
DaS3 isn't even going to come close to something this awesome is it?
but that is a consistent thing across the game. going into it you have a certain level of disbelief allowing you to play it, because it is an aspect of the world.
but it is just one instance out of the entire game. and because it is the only one it stands out so much more
So what do you all want BB2 (which will never happen) to be like?
I want it to be a home decoration and landscaping simulation, because that shit is tight.
It's your face when milkweed rune, augur of Ebrietas and Kos parasite.
aka AYY LMAO mode
>I don't want them to try ruin Invasions a 2nd time
This is factually wrong. Nobody could have programmed her to react a certain way after bringing her the hairpin or killing Maria.
>he doesn't know that BB is actually Earth in the future
baka desu senpai
i can't hear you over the sound of your entire order being dead with no chance of coming back, while my queen is always able to continue the bloodline.
stay mad wheel cuck
>worshiping a gurgling lump of meat
what's the difference?
"extraterrestrial" just means a creature that isn't native to Earth
regardless of whether they come from space or alternate planes of existence, they're extraterrestrial either way
What is considered the good ending in BB?
easy way out seems like it, you wake up and the sun is rising and everything looks fine and peaceful, but is it just blue pill stuff? Also, can't reward the player for not fighting Gerhnman.
You kill Gerhnman and you are turned into him which means you will eventually face the same fate.
You turn into a space slug.
Becoming a squid is the best conceivable ending.
The Night of the Hunt will keep happening every few years and this time you won't be prepared, you won't even remember all the cool shit you've done
>kill Gehrman ending
you become an old fuck in a wheelchair but at least Doll is with you forever, but the Hunt will keep happening
you become a space god and Doll becomes your mom and will take good care of you so you become a big strong squid, and the Hunt is cancelled forever.
Like seriously, why wouldn't you want this to happen to you? >>324202748
I get that since it's the hardest one, but it's a pretty shitty reward, I wanted to go back to the real world with maybe doll-chan who's coming along or something.
Could've at least demonstrated how badass I've become like the true demon ending of smt nocture.
If I didn't go to /mu/ I might not know about all this cool Black/Death metal that happens to fit Bloodborne perfectly
here's for Micolash
>dissing Seth Siro Anton's draconic voice
"Where am I? How I got in here?
I feel so tired, as if I walk for many miles."
"What I see is a door leading out of this room.
I am prepared to confront whatever waits behind..."
"I left the room. I am walking through a corridor.
It is so long that I cannot see its end."
Opening doors, moving in circle
Finding doors, moving in circle
A MADMAN (THE ARCHITECT) THIS LABYRINTH HAS BUILT.
Opening doors, moving in circle
"All the choices I once made, the paths that I designed,
Have formed this endless labyrinth, a product of my mind."
A MADMAN (THE ARCHITECT), THIS LABYRINTH HAS BUILT.
A MADMAN... THE ARCHITECT
He is trapped inside the maze.
Opening doors, moving in circle
Finding doors, moving in circle
A madman... the Architect!
I'm talking about how it's demonstrated in the ending.
Becoming a great one is only implied what will stop some other fucker to meddle in my shit and eventually kill me? I just spent the whole game exterminating "great ones".
Fuck being a great one tbqhfetc
Clarity is of little worth. Not his fault you value it over having a great voice.
I'm gonna assume you don't like opera either since it's so high-pitched or low-pitched you won't understand it either.
thank you for creating best girl
Ahh, Kos, or some say Kosm... Do you hear our prayers? As you once did for the vacuous Rom, grant us eyes, grant us eyes. Plant eyes on our brains, to cleanse our beastly idiocy. The grand lake of mud, hidden now, from sight. The cosmos, of course! Let us sit about, and speak feverishly. Chatting into the wee hours of... New ideas, of the higher plane!
Kos/Kosm is an eldritch abomination who Misolash believes to be essentially the god of the Bloodborne world. He desires the deeper sight that is granted to some creatures in order to purge the beast from his mind as well as grant him greater sight. He wishes to learn the ideas of trascendentalism, of the planes above his own.
It's actually okay if you drink a lot of warm liquid and never eat or drink anything cold.
The guy in Avenged Sevenfold didn't know this and now he can't sing half their songs in concert.
*old hunter bones away*
*loads up bone marrow ash*
*shoots you with repeating pistol*
*old hunter bones behind you*
*slices your health bar away*
*deep respect bow*
"A corpse should be left well alone... kid..."
*unsheathes double katana*
*plunges them into own body to trigger Blood Curse Mode*
"Now I shall cure you of your curiosity!"
>OMG SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THE SHITTY"what did they mean by this"MEME YOU PIECE OF CRAP FAGGOT SPAMMING THIS RETARDED FUCKING SENTENCE ALL OVER THE BOARD
What did he mean by this?
Bloodletter can hurt if you manage to catch people in your AoE. From what I remember it once you start it it won't stop unless you die so you can easily catch people that don't know what the fuck it is in the blast.
bloodletter is good.
however, the 25/50 str/blt split that you'd need to work with is awkward for 99% of a playthrough unless you feel like rushing the dlc at extremely low levels
so many incorrect things even logarious is dissappointed
Wouls have been nice to get a rune in the expansion that let you teleport like the old hunter bone seeing as the old hunters from the nightmare don't seem to need any item to do so.
Then again it destroy one of the advantage of doing an arcanae build
Has anyone made an Orphan of Kos wojak yet?
I really need this
All it is is change Dark souls from being about magic souls and hollowing to Cthulhus giving people beast aids.
The only thing he changed was making the games Frampt (Gherman) 100% right while making Moon Presence (Kaathe) the evil deceiver.
Just got to shadows of Yharnham, what is this fucking gangbang. Couldn't even kill one of them.
Despite my anger it seems like a cool fight
Lady Maria isn't having fun in blood-drunk land, the place serves as a punishment for herself and her fellow hunters
>have to kill yourself irl to make the pact with the Orphan
>it's super pissed at you
>it fills your nightmare with visions of your deepest regrets
>you have to lie comatose next to the victims of the experiments that you hate yourself for hurting
I just beat these niggas with the axe also anon. They're frustrating I know, but keep going. Kill the katana bro by spinning and winning and the rest of the fight is a piece of cake. I couldn't kill any until I focused on katana bro, and once I did I killed em all. Fun fight
Focus on one, lower his health half way. Dodge the attacks from the others.
Focus on another, and repeat. Then the last and repeat.
Do this until you lower all of their health bars to just a slither.
Then deliver the killing blow to each.
If you follow these instructions, and do so in a timely manner, they will not transform and you will never face the snakes from the ground.
Seriously. It's not a hard fight.
It is really, really, fun though.
Why do people bully the poor Axe so hard? I find it very fun to use, and very thematically fitting for the game, and I don't even use the charged r2 very often, it's windup is annoying. Plus the Gascoigne mirror match
Holy shit the headlines in that newspaper!
It's the weapon I used the most, and it's an absolute beast.
Who the fuck cares if a bunch of weenies on the internet think it's OP or don't like it's moveset?
They're probably just salty I R2'd their ass for some dregs before they could even crack their canewhips.
Famalam in my game Annalise and Crowsteel are dead, and I'm the last executioner alive, as evidenced by my oath rune, uniform and wheel
Righteous servants of the Holy Church -- 1
Filthy edgelord Pthumeru weaboos -- 0
Seek the old blood. Let us pray... let us wish... to partake in communion. Let us partake in communion... and feast upon the old blood.
Our thirst for blood satiates us, soothes our fears. Seek the old blood... but beware the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young.
The foul beasts will dangle nectar and lure the meek into the depths. Remain wary of the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young.
Were it not for fear, death would go unlamented.
>Maria didn't actually exist
>she's just the doll's idea of what being a hunter is like, and her idea of how Gehrman wants her to be
MOST THEMATICALLY APPROPRIATE BLOODBORNE BUILD COMING THROUGH
Around base end
15 arc (hunters must take advantage of their tools on the hunt)
Base blt (fear the old blood)
Axe (beasts must be executed)
Full crow feather set, HoH oath (yharnams leaders are in need of a purge)
All bosses, become a squid ending
You can feel free to disagree with this if you like being wrong
It's true though. I was gradually more and more devastated as I got through the late game and hadn't gotten a new weapon in maybe 25 hours. There's no excitement in using the same weapon for 90% of the game.
I don't mind, simply because they all feel different and good in their respective style.
Which is preferable for me, over many so similar in design and effectiveness,
Only thing i miss is crafting boss weapons.
>mfw defiled Amy
Please send help
Anon, after I got that far I figured I was missing the weapons and they were really well hidden or something. So I went to the wiki and saw....15 weapons. That's it. This isn't "bait," if it were bait I'd say there were like 7 weapons or something.
You can cheese amyg really easily.
Stay around the edge of the room and keep running around it in a circle, it pretty much can't hit you.
Whenever it does an attack which puts its head down, go in, attack head, get out.
Then when it gets to the next phase, just go behind it, it will jump and miss you every time and you can just fuck up its legs/arms
Those 15 are far more unique than any other weapons in the Souls series and have transformations.
You're also excluding the DLC.
There. You got your reply.
We're done now. I bit your bait.
just finished it. gr8 game. some thoughts:
-Combat system was fucking awesome. I just started the Witcher 3 and damn does it feel clunky compared to BB. specifically, the quickstepping (O when locked on) was really great.
-I'm not convinced the story made as much sense as the hardcore fans say. however, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think how cryptic the bits and pieces were added to the overall vibe/aesthetic, and it was nice to play an RPG without long cutscenes throughout.
-something about the Insight system felt a bit off, although I'm not 100% sure what it was meant to achieve anyway. I've done some reading and it seems like there's a lot of speculation about what changes come about because of it... but yeah, it seems like there are enough other indicators of progress (overall level - specific attribute level - weapon level) that it really isn't necessary. I guess it's also a form of currency, but is that really necessary either? seems like Insight could have been scrapped.
-map was pretty awesome overall, but I could have done without the open forest areas. urban areas, castles, churches, etc. were way cooler than the forests imo.
-some more music would have been nice. there were some tedious-ish times when I was farming and wishing there was something going in the background.
-I thought it was pretty lame that you can only pistol stagger enemies on some attacks. like, I'm supposed to study all of each enemy's moves, know which attack they are starting, and then make the decision to stagger? because of this, the precise timing needed, and the fact that you have to be so damn close to actually pull off the visceral attack, I rarely used my gun. I did like using charged attacks from the back to stagger enemies though. that's where 95% of my visceral attacks came from.
-Gehrman was way fucking harder than any other boss. None of the others took me more than a few tries. Gehrman took about 20 attempts.
but yeah overall ~9.5/10 type of game imo
Yes, I'm sure ten different longswords slight variations in stats and the exact same moveset will be fa superior to two unique longswords with different stay requirements, movesets, and transformations.
I think DaSII may be more your style of game, anon.
>i didnt want to learn to parry
>Gehrman was harder than any other boss
And usually it's pretty easy to see which attack is coming. (Other than hunters)
And with insight, if you have 15 enemies gain new attacks, if you have 40 giant amygdala's appear in yharnam.
I liked insight to be honest, it's more meta than it is an actual mechanic.
>Those 15 are far more unique than any other weapons in the Souls series and have transformations.
Perhaps but it feels empty. I'd rather have weapons gradually get better and be a little different as the game goes on rather than have a glut of dramatically different weapons at the beginning but hardly anything later.
>You're also excluding the DLC.
That costs more money sir
why anon? she just wants to love and take care of you. to sooth your aches. she just want's to be loved back
Mun-stah you are, Blud-addled i'd imagine as well
>drawin her with skin texture
it makes more sense thematically and from a lore standpoint. insight is your ability to perceive the world as it actually is, with more insight you are able to see more, thus realizing that the guys in the cathedral wards can also shoot bolts of arcane fire out of their lamps.
being ignorant is useful
>captcha: bodies of water
Because like I said, it's more meta than it is an actually game mechanic.
Levelling used blood.
Insight is what allows humans to ascend, that's why talking to Willhem gives you insight, he has "eyes on the inside" which he and the scholars thought would allow them to commune with the great ones, but instead he couldn't handle the insight and turned in to a potato.
It's a story thing.
I never died to any of the bosses very much, never exceeded 10+
that is until I met the love of my life, orphan of kos!
Why I loved that boss so much I spent half a week on him!
must have died at least 20-50 times, fuck you orphan
I don't understand how enemies getting new moves fits in thematically with what you are describing.
and the idea that you can intentionally rid yourself of insight in order to become ignorant again doesn't make much sense.
hey, I don't totally hate the insight system, and I understand what it's going for, but let's not act like it's perfect.
you sound like a pretty big BB fanboy though so ill stop responding to u now.
A game set 1000 of years in the future where the great ones coming back are actually a cycle of rebirth. You meet three crones in the beginning that hammer into your head that "you will get a lot of blood but lose it over and over again mwahahaha". Also the totally not Yharnam city had a bad run in with paint thinner before you arrive.
Fighting in DeS feels like a sega saturn fishing simulator, but it's got a nice nostalgic aesthetic going on. Darksouls is better, and nobody who matters will ever say otherwise.
Chalices are good in short bursts. Just something to do when you feel like fucking around. Only reason to complete them would be the trophy, other than that, cursed gems, and you can get those in mensus and fishing hamlet.
This game is my favorite and overall consistent with its tones and themes of transformation
Its more accessible to newbies, and the new combat system is a treat for old DS players.
Monster designs are amazingly freaky, and the tension of the game added to the monsters makes the game scarier than any recent horror game.
Combat is orgasmic, and more intense than any modern shooter or previous DS game.
Still lookin in /k if anyone made something from that game
People sit their grinding out the best gems and weapons possible for no real reason.
The lowers dungeons get a bit better with the loot.
The early dungeons are a fucking drag.
I did it! After 40 plus wipes too lol. Thanks for your help anon
BB2: World of Bloodborne. Post apocalyptic open world game where the ayy lmao rule the earth and the mcs ascension in the first game did more bad than good. We fight the previous mc, Oeden and Cthulhu. Come at me.
This is also good.
>drop and start attacking brain of mensis
>the eyes start following you
dark souls is more accessible to newbies because muh shield and it's slow
I mean, bloodborne's first required boss is a big fuck you to everyone who can't git gud, no other souls game does that
that terrified me, taking the elevator down into the pitch darkness then finally seen the what the brain of mensis actually looks like with the dim light of my torch slowly walking up to it with no idea of what will happen
>I thought it was pretty lame that you can only pistol stagger enemies on some attacks
On all the enemies where you really want the stun (big fuckers, pigs, humanoid bosses, hunters, and nazguls), it's all the attacks.
I keep saying it and ome fags just wont beleive it.
Bloodborne is the end of the souls series and it went with a bang.
DS3 is just anothe cahs grab like 2
>The early dungeons are a fucking drag.
Literally just run through, pull the level (lol invincibility frames), and die or (Bold) Hunter's Mark back to the start and rush the boss. You can complete a chalice dungeon in ten minutes.
That would be ok as another DLC and i'd love that.
So we can see yarnham as a proper city with people everywhere and not a run down deserted city with monsters and a few straglers left.
We can actually see peole transform in the streets and start murdering people.
That would be awsome!
Great idea anon another dlc prequel(old hunters is technically also a prequel) would be very welcomed from bloodborne fans.
We dont want a sequel
>Dark Souls 2 is about being an imperfect imitation of something that came before.
It had two things better than DaS though, it isn't even perfect at being imperfect.
The two thing are: using consumables from the menu not taking you out of the menu, and basing four magic schools on two stats
Him and all the students at the University did. It allowed communication with the cosmos and pulled them all into an eternal nightmare/higher plane of reality.
that's why you find the entire school dead in a theater surrounding his mummified body which servers as a conduit to the nightmare
So I have a japanese friend and I asked him about the ideal translation to this item's name. The japanase word is 3本目のへその緒, which US version translates to "One Third of Umbilical Corde", possibly an allusion that we have to get three of them. My friend says the best translation would be "Third Umbilical Cord", which doesn't make sense because you are born with only one cord, unless it refers that the mother had three children and this one its of the youngest. However some time later he came to me with another possible translation. He said that '目' is the word for 'eye' in japanese and '3本目' literally means third, so this very well could be a play with words to say "Umbilical Cord of the Third Eye".
Third Eye is a common analogy for 'enlightenment' or 'all seeing'. So when the player consumes the three umbilical cords he develops the third eye and reaches the true enlightenment the others were looking for, thus becoming a Great One/God.
as far as i've experienced with mates and my lil' bro, Bloodborne is way easier to get into in comparison to Dark Souls, you don't get as punished for doing dumb shit in the beginning of Bloodborne as you do in DaS; the health-regen mechanic also encourages r1 spam, which shitters tend to do. I dunno man, I've seen a guy with 300 hours in DaS die to Cleric beast 4 times in a row and an 11 year old with 0 hours in any souls game take Cleric beast and father gascoigne in their first go.
shit varies from person to person
I blame youtube shits for constant threads like this.
I wish to be the little
BB is easier to get into and ppl with no souls experience do a lot better in BB since they just learn BB ways, while bunch of souls noobs only know how to use shield and have no idea about dodging etc, as someone who never used shield in any souls game BB was easy for me and since its so much faster it was also a lot easier since my gaming adhd makes me better if things happen fast and not so slow like in souls while some of my friends that love souls games but never got good enough to drop shield struggled in BB for long time before they got used to no shield style... good thing is they said they will never return to shield while replaying souls or playing DS3 :)
That... could be something.
This is more probable. Or maybe just they mad some shit up, right?
I'm not missing out on big boi shit cause I'm too dumb, right? Where's this Vati motherfucker you people keep going on about. I need answers goddammit.
Honeslty OP I was a little bit let down with how Bb presented a few of its concepts.
Regain isn't nearly as critical to Bb's combat as they suggested it would be. I get the impression that it was too difficult to balance so they settled for moon grass from DeS. It'd need a massive buff and its window of opportunity widened to be viable, and our Blood Vial count would need to be at least halved.
And as is Beastmode is a shit build type, a weak meter, a weak weapon, and a neat little rune. It isn't woven into the main gamplay loop enough, which is a shame because the concept of the Berserker goes hand-in-hand with the regain mechanic, seems like these two ambitious ideas were downplayed in favor for the safer but still amazing combat system we have now.
And I wish they did more with insight
>Where's this Vati motherfucker you people keep going on about
Never heard of him, google says is a youtube player who attempts to explain the Lore. I'll watch his videos later.
Right now I have this little theory that every Great One in the game is a half-breed, an imperfect ascension of humanity, the true ayys left long ago and what we have now is but the remains of their touch in this plane. The player is the first successful human Great One, because he reached enlightenment, partly, on his own.
They grew large feeding on beast entrails, from the vermin in the blood. it's only natural that they began to nest nearer and nearer to their food source, tainted blood. So instead of nesting underground they began to burrow into our veins and became parasites, feeding on our vermin.
>Umbilical Cord of the Third Eye
I like this more than the current translations, gels better with the lore
It's not far fetched to think they would insert baby snakes into their bodies in hopes of reaching eternity, the fuckers were literally gluing eyes to their bodies in hopes of ascending.
"We are thinking in the basest of planes, what we need is more eyes"
I have been afk for a couple of months now, someone please enlighten me to why we refer to Aliens as "ayyyys" now and why are Aliens considered a "meme" now?
I just started playing. Is it just me, or did they slap a shitload of health on these Bosses? I just got to Amelia, and I'm going to need a bigger TV to see if her healthbar is actually going down.
here's what you missed
>anything you don't like is reddit, like calling someone a faggot in the good old days
>anything you don't agree with is a meme
>your choices in anything is a meme
>video games that have overly enthusiastic fans are tumblr memes
>liking women is a meme unless they have a dick
>aliens are memes
Yeah, she healed herself 7 times in my last attempt... I think I'm done for the night.
That nigga was awesome, I wish I had known there was a way to be bros with him.
Speaking of weapons, why does my Kirkhammer +3 say it does more damage than my +3 Axe when it obviously does not?
I know that feeling anon we will never get another Beast cleaver
The Byrgenwerth Academy used to pursed the enlightenment and finally made a breakthrough when they opened the old Pthumeru labyrinth and found the Great Ones and the Old Blood. Willen and Laurence disagreed with each other about which would lead them to true ascending.
As we see Laurence's deformed skull in the Grand Cathedral, with a insight inside (akin to the Mad men's knowledge) we can presume Laurence tried to ascend himself through the old blood and became a beast. And with the Choir being guided by Ebrietas in blood ministration I say they were in fact administrating the old blood not only to heal but to study its effects and eventually reach ascending.
>You'll find Numbing Mists by climbing a ladder right behind the shortcut gate, you know the one. Use them.
This. Don't shy away from using them, you most likely will never to again.
>You're in your own pocket dimension, people can't access it just like that
Nigga tell that to fucking Mergo, Amygala, and fucking Rom we murder them in their own pocket dimension
Was Flora the good guy? It seemed like he made the dream to get echoes from the Hunters, but he also gave Yharnam a chance by empowering humans against the blood of the other Great Ones.
>music picks up and transforms with the boss
No idea how Bloodborne does it but I remember that the way MGR:R did it was fucking god tier.
>music starts playing
>fight gets more intense with second stage
>music gets louder and more energetic
>3rd stage of the fight begins
>vocals kick in
holy fuck this made the bossfights memorable
You'll find that chalice dungeons in general are bullshit
One good tip I can give you is that to not pop his zit immediately, as difficult as that may seem. Save it for when he's low on health
Other than that you just have to play EXTREMELY carefully, use long range weapons, and use whatever projectiles you have
molotovs, bone marrow guns, magic if you're building arcane
Same goes for abhorrent beast whenever you get to him
I finished him off with the gatling gun, but just barely because that fat nigger goes berserk on you in his last 20%
It's plausible. If you go through the story only you need only to kill Rom and the Wet Nurse of the Great Ones. One hides the nightmare, another guards the source of the nightmare. So you can say Moon Presence's ultimate goal is to kill Mergo.
The Old Blood was found in the labyrinth. It's either the blood of the Great Ones or, more likely, the blood of the Pthumerians long dead.
he doesnt know what hes talking about
they cactually cared, also Miyazaki wanted to make a victorian era game for a long time, so the ideas had time to go from okay to good to great
It depends on the move, for the axe. Hammer is always blunt.
The hammer scales better for strength but worse for skill, so your stats could also make a difference, albeit one you shouldn't notice if you've just gotten to Amelia.
Bloodborne doesn't have vocals, but it's the same principle.
Ludwig has the most obvious "phases" and the music changed to occampany that.
He can just run past dudes and get the Beast Cutter, Beasthunter Saif, Amygdalan Arm, or Whirlygig Saw. That's the preferred method of going skill, kill Amelia and rush the Saif.
I need to increase my vitality. I was a whopping 10 vitality fag in dark souls so I've barely touched it. So I probably should at least once my primary attacking stat (Skill in this case) reaches 40, right?
Stay close, his repeating pistol is way more dangerous than the chikage. He's piss easy to visceral when he goes into two handed mode. Keep an eye out for when he starts to slowly walk towards you, he'll always attack once he reaches a certain range. That's the easiest time to get a parry in.
Anybody else disappointed with a lot of the bosses? I don't mean by design, they look awesome. But mechanics wise, I think they really forgot what made, not just an interesting fight, but a fun one.
So many of the bosses have really powerful moves, but after dodging one, I found I was hardly rewarded for it because the end of these attacks hardly leave an opening for two hits. It's like if the boss were controlled by a human and just spammed that powerful move, there's no way the boss would lose.
>decide to take a right at Amelia's
>find the tonitrus fag, manage to kill him
>suddenly attacked by some fag with a blunderbuss, keeps running away from me like a douche
HOLD STILL DAMN
Not really, I made it through my first run of the game with just 16 or 17 endurance. It's nice to have the extra bit of stamina but it's certainly not vital. As long as you're able to get three or four hits in and still have enough to safely retreat then you'll be fine, but more will make things a little easier.
Endurance seems very less important than ever. Your dodging hardly removes any stamina, so the only reason you'd want to get stamina is to maybe do one extra swing for your combo, which you'll never land on anything
stop leveling anything but vitality until it's at least 25. That sht is important
Endurance is a hot button topic
Some swear by 15, some 20, some 30
The general consenus is 15 if you're going for PVP standard 98 and 20 if you're pumping past that
You don't really need any past 20 unless you really like spamming R1 or if you're shooting for the highest level you can go
Run away from him, he'll go back to his rest spot.
On the cliffs overlooking the area, there's a spot on the left where you can jump down onto the roof and then on the ground. This doesn't alert him.
Sneak up, heavy R2, visceral, run like a bitch, etc.
I want a
interactive movieabout a Byrgenwerth student that gets involved in the discovery of the Pthumerian Labyrinth and witnesses the start of blood ministration, the creation of the Healing Church and all the shit that ensued in Yharnam.
