A SLIMY SLUG HAS INVADED YOUR BASE!!!!
Rock Raiders was so fun. I still have that game. I loved the different camera modes, it blew my mind you could run around in first person. I never could get through the second half of the game though, I always got stuck on something.
was it the slimy slugs? I fucking hated those and the sonic blasters never really worked when i used them.
The rock monsters I could stand, but not the slugs
>game tells me to deploy disruption beacon
>mfw telling those lazy sandwich eating spider slipping faggots to grab the gats and rek shit
this game was the shit, using mining lasers for everything was the best.
Did the Cargo Carrier even work?
I could never figure out how to get it to ferry stuff.
And how did you drill energy crystal seams in the middle of the water? I think I tried lasers and it didn't work.
Oh shit, This was the shit
It did, but only with small vehicles
The tunnel transport didn't work but you can mod the game files to enable it since it's actually just unfinished content which they still put into one level
Last word on their facebook page was mid 2015. What's most likely is the project hasn't been completely abandoned but progress is slow because everyone working on it has a real job which actually earns them money and they work on RR2 in their spare time
if I understand the site right, that was just a proposal which recieved poor feedback so they said they were going to make it more like the original one but with some verticality
Both rock and ice monsters died in one hit to laser beams. Lava monsters are a bigger problem, I remembered one level where there were sleeping lava monsters everywhere that I always ended up avoiding them entirely.
>Always watched my brother play this when we were little
>We were scared to use the game's main menu because sometimes a pre-rendered rock monster would walk across the background and spook us
Those were the days.
>mfw I bought this for PS1 but it's not the same as the PC version
The 90's and early 2000's were the golden era for Lego games, now the franchise is just a rotting corpse unless they get their heads out of their asses regarding the licensed bullshit.
I'm uploading my copy right now. I can confirm that it works on windows 7 from start to finish.
It's in nordic languages though since it was bought in denmark, but it should include english.
You want it?
Explain this dumbfag where to upload it and I'll do it.
>I have 64bit too, set to xp SP2 compatibility mode
Already tried that with most combinations.
The game starts according to task manager but after some seconds the process closes itself.
I should probably have mentioned what the link is.
It's a scandinavian copy of the game, which hopefully includes english. I believe it detects your system language.
If not, then it might still be useful if you are from denmark, sweden, finland or norway.
No problem. Helen is just a random generated name btw.
I'm uploading Lego Racers as well to the same room right now.
It's alive! I'm ripping the CD right now
>discover this game has a modding community
>decide to download a difficulty mod called Baz's mod
I was not prepared for this shit. The fact that I had to collect 150 crystals was bad enough. But when I got to Rocky horror it went up to 300.
And you have to deal with constant Slimy slugs. And power paths don't stop them. And there's only like 70 crystals in the main land.
Absolutely based, I cannot wait to play these again. It's been ages, I wore out my RR disk from installing it so many times.
>racers 1 is settling
OG Racers was the shit. Racers 2, while fun, was meh by comparison. Also /r/ing Bionicle Heroes, I got a multilang torrent of it ages ago with a Portuguese installer, but it's long gone.
Before getting too excited, I should remind you that these are scandinavian copies, so not all games are confirmed to work yet. They should all include english and hopefully they should all work though.
I know lego racer 1 and 2 is in english. I'm 99% sure Rock raiders is too. Haven't tried this copy of stunt rally though.
I'm uploading Lego Racer 2 right now.
I have a copy of Lego Creator Knights Kingdom, but I have no idea wtf it is or if it's in english.
Should I upload it anyway?
I cannot confirm. It supports my native language, which is not english, so as soon as I pop the disc in it picks my computer's system language.
I have yet to try install it on an english computer. Try install it and pay attention to any drop down boxes. See if you can pick English during the install.
Also if anyone has problems running one of these games, make sure to run/install them in compability mode.
Right click on the game/installer, and choose properties. Then click on compability and check "run in compability mode". Pick some old OS from the list. Check some of the checkboxes below if needed.
I know there's a fix for this. Give me a moment and I can look it up.
If I remember correctly, that file is on the disc/iso, and you can just drag and drop it into the game directory.
I'm a linux fag and tried to wine it, which didn't work.
But hearing from the sound files it's English.
You need to install the old directx version that's also on the disc. There should be a directx installer there, or the option to install directx6 comes when you install the game.
Now Lego Creator Knights Kingdom is uploaded as well.
I highly doubt it's in english but I haven't tried it in like ten years so who knows.
If you have nostalgia for the game, go for it. If not, then ignore it.
Now that I've dumped the Lego games I have I would like to ask if anyone is interested in some unrelated games.
I have Sonic Riders and Billy Hatcher for the PC.
Also waiting for confirmation on this
At least I didn't download the file for nothing now. Let me know if it works!
No one asked for it, but here it is.
Sonic Riders. There's also a no cd crack that runs the game in 1080p unless you change resolution.
It's still stretched to 16:9, but hery, it's better than both stretched and having a low resolution.
>Does it have controller support?
Yes, I played it with an xbox 360 gamepad a moment ago.
>is it any good?
Some think it's great. Some think it sucks.
Many people complained that it was too difficult when it was released. I would imagine that it impacted the review score a lot.
Got it running after a little messing around. Many thanks, anon.
Reminder to keep the Rock Raiders CD/ISO mounted to make sure the music and FMVs play.
>tfw I just found my original CD and game manual.
Oh, I am almost high on nostalgia right now.
>tfw there will never be steam ports of all the old Lego games
Would rather get them DRM free on Humble or GOG
From my experience Steam causes too much trouble with older games. Probably mainly because those publishers just put them on there and make use of features they don't understand.
I thought I was the only one who knew this feel
>tfw that spaceship from the game will never be a real set
>Rock Raiders building sets!
Anon call that number and get the full set.
I think there was something about them using outdated hardware or some shit, can't confirm anything though as a huge pleb.
Also does anyone have Lego Chess? This thread is awesome.
I have like three Chief. He didn't come with a set. Just a collectors card and a little stand.
I got them years ago for dirt cheap long after rock raiders were suppose to be taken off the shelves.
I'm not 100% sure where they are though. I do believe I know where the box for one of them is.
I wouldn't count on that working, Chen, but you never know. I've heard some crazy stories about Lego's customer support, so maybe they'll grab a few out of the vault.
TLG is weird about acknowledging old properties, always careful about their public image. They want to make sure their current company values are very apparent, and rereleasing a 15/20-year-old product could 'confuse' consumers, or something. Knowing that, it's honestly surprising that they dug Bionicle out of the grave they happily dug for 5 years.
>I've heard some crazy stories about Lego's customer support
Actually I have one like that.
my little brother had bought a set at legoland on a vacation, but when he got home from denmark to build his set, one piece had melted and did not fit at all, so we contacted support and a few days later he got a little box with only that one piece fixed. It came straight from the factories overseas.
It just seems so unlikely to me for them to go out of their way to read mails like that and send one little factory new piece across countries just to satisfy customers.
One would either expect nothing, or a whole new set from their shelves.
1) Games need to work natively - You can't expect most customers to fix the shit because most are too lazy to do it or to learn how to do it
2) LEGO doesn't like sticking to old franchises that much because once the shit sold it gets abandoned for the next and clones happen frequently. Like Power Miners for Rock Raiders or Hero Factory for Bionicle.
We postan Bionitits?
Just look at those hands. how do you even build that with lego?
A guy called velken. He posted instructions for the ass a while ago in one of these threads >>>/toy/5408755
He posts his customs here
