Daily Reminder that CDproject made a better game with less money than Bethesda or Gayware, with better graphics than Square -release never- Enix
>implying generic JRPGs will be good
>Remind that after they learned hwo to make female characters.
But they always did. Just because you got to fuck every female in Geralt's vicinity it doesn't mean female characters didn't exist. And were meaningful.
>people always ragged on about sex cards and brothels
>conveniently forgetting the fact the lodge are the real movers and shakers in the witcher and they're all women
It was far less than that but whatever, I'm not going to argue over something I can't prove.
It was also considered a good game that gets boring, after the reward show shit posters are acting as if its the greatest game of all time. I liked it but agreed it got boring after awhile.
Why are all characters in WRPGs drunks, drug addicts, whores? I really want to get into them because of the absence of good JRPGs atm but those kind of characters just put me off. I mean I know that they are supposed to be realistic but not all people in real world are fucking drunks, drug addicts etc.
what the fuck can anyone gain from talking about downgrade 7 months after the game came out, everyone can play the game and see what it looks like. most people think its 2nd best looking game after the star wars game this year.
Vampire the masquerade
And it's actually an rpg and not a linear adventure with a numeric system for combat
The problem with persona is that you can program an automatic X button and the game is gonna advance with or without you, you can be dick mc asshole or the fucking holly baby jesus and the game is not gonna be different, kind of hard playing an rpg like that if your only rol it's gonna be grind monsters and make generic friendships with generic anime waifus
the first SMT is from 1987 and they've been reusing the same concept with different settings since then (persona is just the generic anime version), try a better argument my linear adventures that pretend to be role playing games lover
They're perhaps the most generous developers in the industry and are making an attempt to bring the industry back to where it was pre-DLC area, but I wouldn't call them the best. They're the only company out there I know who is like "We're going to be releasing this many DLC's throughout the course of such and such game, and it's all going to be completely free". Which is great. I'm all for that. But they just don't make very good games. They have some great writers, but from a technical standpoint there's no reason why TW3 feels less fluid than a game released in 2012. If they could get that down, TW3 would have been an absolute masterpiece. Instead, it's just one of those games that exist with the story and graphics being the only saving grace.
5hrs in, im a self confessed souls fag but ill admit the game is winning me over, sure some of the combat is hit or miss but the multi emeny fights work better than Souls and the dialogue and game world are top notch.
You can thank that to our fuckep up economy and shitty salaries.
>Generic, dry, bland, gritty western medieval fantasy setting. Nothing unique about it.
>Constant fetch quests
>Protagonist Geralt lacks any personality or emotion.
>Game focuses on too much sex in order to sell to 14y/o autists
Witcher fags btfo. Quit trying to damage control a mediocre series.
cześć, uczę się języka polskiego, just because it seems like a pretty good place to move to honestly. I work in software, so might try get a job in Wroclaw in a couple of years when my Polish is better.
>better graphics than Square -release never- Enix
Not when you compare the console versions of those games. The FFXV demo looked better than TW3 on consoles.
>tfw poland becomes the last bastion of degenerate-free zone
>with good games
Never into fantasy genre but Witcher makes me interested in it.
I like how they take the setting and make it fun as fuck with a bunch of humors. They didn't forget they were making a video game.
>with better graphics than Square -release never- Enix
Why do you have to torture FFXV kun? He probably wants to kill himself each time he realises that he's wasting his time trying to prove FFXV superiority yet his sense of duty doesn't let him stop.
Bethesda is 100ish people and Fallout 4's budget was around 120 million.
CD project is 250ish people, and their budget was 80 million. However, being based in Poland, their workers cost less than half, so their budget could be translated to be 160 million.
Don't make it sound like CD project is the underdog here.
>War constantly ravages your homeland
>Monsters and shit all there with the purpose to fuck your shit up
>Bandits feed on the fear of men and take advantage where possible
Not drinking and/or taking smack up to relax in this universe shows you're mentally handicapped
They sure do! Look at those sexy hitboxes!
>One boring turdfest is slightly better than these other boring turdfests
Except in reality; it actually isn't. Witcher 3 falls flat in Gameplay, Graphics, and Story. It also is uninspired at it's core, being generic fantasy with real world mythological influences, and not even attempting to disguise it.
If nothing else Square Enix games generally have interesting mythos.
>Doubling the money based only on wages.
Jesus anon, wages aren't the only cost in development.
You know that the cost of living, typical monthly wage and operating costs in Poland are substantially lower than that of countries where games are typically developed in, right?
Daily reminder CDPR paid for 2 cinematic trailers, 2 TV spot trailers, and airtime for those spots on major networks.
They are not poor nor are they the underdogs. They are also not your friends.
Witcher 3 is also not a good game, and it's not even a good movie, it's also based on a garbage book series.
Anon you have no idea what are you asking for.
First of all - in Potatoland you won't get good wages.
Entry tier programmer's wage for CDPR is around 5000 potatoes a month which is like $1250 - so think of getting $15k a year.
Living costs are much lower and the wage itself is good for their standards(then again startups will give you more potatoes easily) but think about squeezing money for $3000 gaming PC cause you want one to enjoy games you've helped to make on max settings out of it(or a new car). Can you save that money? Sure, if you manage to just live off on $1000 a month you will do it in a year. Even more - neckbeards will find that enormously easy but why are you thinking about moving to the entire new country, one filled with gold-digging sluts to continue your neckbeardy ways?
That's one issue. The other are working conditions. You'll work 7 days a week, likely more than 8 hours a day(you'll get a bonus for it, so at least it's honest). Some foreign CDPR employees left with impression that the company is in non-ending crunch but the truth is that this is how software development looks like in Potatoland. Be glad you're not construction worker working on a similar manner, except physically and for much less money!
Independent dev studios formed out of "ex-CDPR devs" are everywhere in Potatoland now. And those are often decent devs - Hard West was put together in like a year, doesn't suffer from performance issues other unity games suffer from, isn't really bugged, has reasonable although unique mechanics and enough content to take ~25-30 hours. Do you really think these guys quit the CDPR because they were thrown out, being useless contract code monekys they were? No, absolutely no, these are simply professionals quitting because they've got enough of the conditions. HR certainly has "lol everybody's expendable" approach there if you still didn't get it.
You don't want to work here, even rockstar of all dev studios seems better.
That's actually pretty cool and makes me want to give this series a chance.
I've always hated how rushed status effects are in most arpgs.
HA! I've poisoned you for 1.4 seconds and you're frozen for .5 seconds!
Too bad human reaction time won't let me use this advantage because I"m not a fucking cyborg.
Friendly reminder that Witcher 3 had a budget of around 80m USD, which would've been close to b Fallout 4's budget.
Friendly reminder that cost of living and wages in Poland are far lower, effectively making Witcher 3's development budget much larger than Fallout 4.
Don't be fooled by the CDPR drones; CDPR are NOT a "small underdog". They are a massive company with hundreds of employees.
>mfw TW3 cost more than MGS4 and MGSV
It's not even a game. I mean neither is MGS4, but at least MGS4 doesn't hurt to play inbetween cutscenes.
Holy fuck Polacks, nuke yourselves.
Does Poland even have nuke?
>60 frames a second
>can't react within 30 frames
what happened from TW2 to TW3 to make people hate on the series and constantly complain about "shit combat" and "boring"
it's not like /v/ could have gotten more underage
At first people thought it could be a shill for another game but time passed and seems like he's just a general autist who thinks he can somehow convince people this game is bad.
>always posting the same webm.'s of obvious bugs which have been patched or happen once or twice during the entire playthrough
Fucking hell you people are highly retarded. What the fuck is that supposed to prove, that the game has bugs? Success, every game has bugs.
The best thing is that Witcher 3 DOES have pretty big problems, but I guess you're too preoccupied with making an ass out of yourselves instead of discussing them. Every fucking thread, the same shit.
And yet most of the webm's show retarded shit that's been patched out a long time ago.
Witcher 3's biggest issue isn't with stunlocking, it's with the way hitboxes and i-frames work. Also how Geralt can't really damage people with his sword if he's not soflty locked onto them.
The guy still makes point. I feel as though triple A rpgs that come out now from westerners are pretty much all the same. Feels like there is any game made in the west either has to be post-apocalyptic, in the future, or some mythical kind thing.
