Who is the most based GTA character and why is it Toreno?
>GOT THAT SHIGGY IGGY IGGY HOMIE!
what did he mean by this?
>hanging out outside Franklin's ghetto home
>kill soma asshole in a fistfight
>while they're checking on him some nigger jumps in the ambulance and steals it
first laugh I've had in awhile in GTA V
Fat CJ best.
Next GTA better have dynamic bodyweight.
I wish these threads weren't so empty.
It's because these threads are about a game that is actually good.
98% of neo-/v/ is shitposting about the newest games, "what went wrong?", "now that the dust has settled..", Joostposting, "what did x mean by this?", LOL comics, and etc.
People too busy shitposting. Or they are lying on the couch today, recuperating from all the shitposting from yesterday.
These autistic fucks will just get emotionally attached to the next pair of walking tits that gets added to a AAA game purely for fan-service and upsales from horny 12 year olds.
>occasionally get the urge to replay SA
>think of all the great characters, interesting stories
>remember the fucking plane and train missions
>all my interest evaporates
i don't want to follow the damn train anymore
Plane infiltration was easy as fuck, also the train mission is one clean shot to the train drivers head.
There you go.
>lost all the good guns and weps and their ammo
>have to buy shit guns from gun thrift store
>literally struggling to survive San Andreas ingame Vegas
>quit and uninstall
going to reinstall so i can finally git gud
one of the most annoying things in GTA V is permanent weapons. I have so much fucking money and nothing to burn it on. They should have a gun storage option for 2-3 guns but everything else should go when you die or get caught
>all of those myth hunter things
>bigfoot and aliens
Man, I miss this game.
This always pisses me off.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW THAT YOU CAN JUMP ON THE TRAIN AND SHOOT THE GANG YOURSELF WAY FASTER AND EASIER THAN LETTING SMOKE KILL THEM?
Just drive ahead of the train and just a bit before you reach the gym get on a bridge to the left.
There you can jump directly to the train's roof.
It pisses me off that nobody talks about this.
>tfw bigfoot appears in GTAV
>turns it outs a man in a suit
they could at least throw a few myths in there and make them real just for the spooky side. Thats the thing about Rockstar myths they're always anticlimactic
Only in certain areas hombre. It's like Rockstar got piss scared and left them only there because it would hurt progressive sensibilities.
We always just rode to the first track and street intersection, drive up the "bridge" there and then jump on to the train with the bike.
I think I never died in SA
>get killed or fail a mission, reload the save
>never save if I'm just fucking around so I can go all out
best GTA character. "I'm not a good guy, but I'm fighting with them." That kind of moral clarity was perfect. Also the voice acting was top notch.
>to this day have not successfully installed and run Things To Do In San Andreas Till You're Dead
I don't know why, but whenever I start a new game, it crashes. Got it working maybe once.
If anything the cop AI in V was too good, if you define "good" as being good at catching you. They seem to be psychic or something. Plus, it took way too long to lose a 1 star wanted level. It made very simple tasks like carjacking a lot more annoying.
I was playing GTA IV a few days ago, just fooling around and something weird happened. I got drunk with Roman and when I dropped him off at home, he punched Niko and took the driver seat. The fuck? Is that a glitch or something?
i remember snotnosed kids snickering and laughing their shits off playing SA with a tetrapak and a printed list of SA cheats
that was back in 2011. i saw some again just this week
There's the weird hatch under the sea, but there's also something more with some knocking from the other side which turns out is Roman asking if you want to go bowling or something in morse code. So it's like an easter egg in an easter egg.
Other things include a giant skeleton and wreckage of a UFO. Nothing that good really.
Felt good wasting that righteus prick in GTAV to be honest family.
>over 500 hours on an RP server
literally never heard of MTA before, how is it better then samp?
The roleplay servers were amazing on SAMP. I agree with alot of BR's if you would join a server through the server browser, but whitelisted servers were great
>Spraying tags all over Los Santos just to get good early weapons, even though I'm going to get kicked out of the city soon
>Follow a guide to spraying all of them
>Miss 1 somehow
>My autism compels me to search the city for it
>I eventually lose interest in playing the game as a whole
The guy who i can always kill for a free knife, of course.
>blue shirt nigga on Grove Street
>implying he WON'T ever have a knife
what really drove me off SAMP was using commands for anything you did. Would you want to play a modern version of this with more intuitive controls? I have been working on a game with more modern tech. do you think there were any other flaws you think I should address?
I don't know the video, but there is one showing how a lot of the finer points were still in GTA IV more than V. For example, being able to shoot someone's pistol out of their hand by hitting the pistol.
I never found the commands too jarring. Sure, some of them could be better incorporated, but really what makes or breaks a game like this is the community. The server I played on consistently had 500-500 people at all times, with established factions and major players, which meant you were stepping into a fairly complex and functioning game world. It probably helped that there was no eed for account confirmation - RP was enforced during the game by mods and rules, instead of requiring you to spend a bunch of time making forum accounts and writing out character histories for approval.
>Are game devs this lazy?
Yes. Because even if they shit into a box, fanboys and retards will still gobble it up. SOURCE: Every game released in the past 2 years.
Also, more women, foreigners, and hipsters in the game dev industry = shitty coding and cliche design.
Games were at their peak when devs made games that were FUN and the team consisted mainly of pasty white neckbeards.
Lots of dev teams are outsourcing their work to other countries, particularly India.
Indians are notorious for lying about their social standing and pretending to know things they don't (thanks to their caste system). Therefore, tons of Indian 'programmers' don't know shit and they just copy/paste shit from Stack Overflow until they can cobble something together that runs.
Look up who the CEO of Microsoft is. Then look at Windows 10: Something Happened Edition.
jesus christ i'm stuck on this mission
controlling the hydra is suffering
Never, they prob made a killing off that shitty mobile port they brought to consoles and steam. Expect liberty city stories and vice city stories to get their shoddy mobile versions on steam and consoles next
>tfw i spent over 7000 hours on San Andreas Multiplayer Roleplay Servers
>collecting hourly paychecks
>applying to factions harder than jobs irl
>become a undercover fbi agent conspiring with several other gangs ingame
>buy dope cars, clothes, hoes, homes , guns , drugs
>chill with my school friend singame, scheme to make money and start our own faction
>remember all the lame forum trolls, people kissing moderator/admin ass and deathmatching and other gay shit
still the most fun i had, i played vice city roleplay on a server with 32 people, but san andreas multiplayer had 200 and eventually 500 people on a server
needless to say nice city roleplay died
Modding was very good in SA too, shame i dropped San Andreas Multiplayer after for GTA which was kinda lame but i liked the driving physics
i have a lot of pics of modded cars and first person mods but they all have bpm extensions i cant post on here without changing them
heres one from when i replayed the campaign for the 5th time or whatever, i felt like documenting some funny areas in the story
sorry for the typos i got excited from remembering :)
il bump with some pics since i never showed them to anyone ( i take a lot of pics of every game i play its kind of weird )
pic related, my fav 2 cars irl
the first person mod blew my mind back in 2008
was way ahead of its time if you knew how to mod right with the addition of HD hands mod, cars with nice interiors, gun mods etc
replayed the campaign because of it
i really should have saved my mod packs, i think i did
Game got very colorful after some graphics mods
i had 5-6 mod sites that i went to one day and just sorted by most downloads, for some things like cars i personally searched for a specific model of car to replace
think i spent maybe 8 hours modding, but i guess that's pretty common today, Skyrim modders can mod for days its part of the fun
i think i posted this one and people were impressed with the graphics, for a 10 year old game
havent you played SA:MP?
they were death matches, and tournaments and different styles of shooting by abusing animations etc
car chases, arrests, murder, conspiracies , politics
it was better than any game out for me
the pictures im posting are from my single player games, i had so many SA:MP pictures on another Hard drive but without context they would mean nothing to you
Also for some it was just a glorified chat room, plenty of people would go to a stripclub or bar in roleplay servers just to chat around and wait for hourly paychecks to give you money so you could go out and buy things
i actually bought a bar once and had set up events, and comedians while people came in drinking etc
it took a lot of forum effort though and i dropped it after the third weekend, but Saturday nights were fun as hell those times
if twitch was out back then, it would have been streamed 24/7
also these last 2 pictures show the first person mod, but i ran it on a toaster even back then, 99% of mods would work on multiplaye rit was amazing
imagine, getting any car you want, guns , clothes , no waiting for DLC's
some car mods
every car ingame was modded to its realistic counter part, with some exceptions
i wrote down car names and modded each one individually
last pic is of me just cruising in "Toronto" in a 190e :^)
anyhow hope you guys enjoyed the pics, i just had a nostalgia attack even though these pics were taken exactly one year ago... a lot has changed for me in a year so it really feels like a long time ago
Anyhow, enjoy your Weekends :)
I'll be playing a game called "punch club" its a retro "rocky" simulator pixel art etc, i dunno check it out
I liked vanilla San Andreas just fine, these modded screenshots look retarded to me. Also replacing cars and brands with real life shit triggers my autism. The game has its own brands across the series and you replace it, what's the point? Would you change Nuka Cola into Coca Cola for fuck's sake?
it used to have about 130,000 people on any given time
now it might be around 10000, with most of them being Brazilians with toaster pc's
theres probably a "top 5" servers with 500/500 people on at all times still
Myke Toreno was badass as fuck
Like, when he said "dont worry, Sweet will be fine. If not, the jail guard or whatever, after work he will find his wife and kids dead in his house" i actually felt safe
