what's a game where you can play as a cop and is actually fun to play
>cops are automatically angels no matter what
>people who fight back are evil, monsters who's names shall not be named
What a fucking half-wit.
I really hate that video. I work at a place where they train int'l visitors in American LE policy, and they always show this video as an example of why American cops carry guns.
But they don't show any examples of the completely normal interactions cops have with civs every day. And then we send them into a simulator where someone inevitably pulls a gun on them in every scenario. It gives a completely slanted view of what cops have to deal with and their chances of ever encountering this kind of situation. If local training is anything like this, I have no problem understanding why cops are so jumpy and trigger happy.
>Cops harass innocent old white man
>Cop gets whats coming him
OH WAIT NO THE COP WAS A GOOD MAN, DIDN'T DO NOTHING WRONG LET ME SALUTE THE FLAG WHILE EATING A CHEESEBURGER AND CLAPPING
yeah my impression is they are trained to shoot when someone looks like they might be pulling a gun out, that's why you hear about people committing suicide by cop like that one video where the black teen looks like he goes out of his way to look like he's pulling out a gun and then dead.
You should see what the cops are like in states where the entire population amounts to that of a single large metropolis. No cameras. Home grown hick boys with guns. Motherfuckers are scary. I'd never call a police officer no matter the circumstance.
>like that one video where the black teen looks like he goes out of his way to look like he's pulling out a gun and then dead.
I don't have any bait.jpgs but just so you know I'm onto you.
yeah he didn't and that really sucks because the cop was probably a decent guy but the institution as a whole did a lot of wrong things and they keep covering it up and suppressing it. Getting suspended for straight up murders ain't right.
The bigger the responsibility and authority the bigger the punishment should be for abusing it. But it's the other way around. So of course some "innocent" cops are gonna pay for it.
I'm sure the elderly ladies those LA cops sprayed with bullets were innocent as well. That's life I guess.
really don't know what you are talking about, I know there's plenty of shootings where we can argue the cops were horribly in the wrong, but in the video or webm, whatever it is, the kid reaches his hand back behind him reaching under his shirt and then throws his hands forwards pointing his finger like a kid does when he's pretending he's got a gun. mother fucker was probably just pulling suicide by police like that one guy in the book about the greased up gangsters holy shit I can't remember the name.
>But they don't show any examples of the completely normal interactions cops have with civs every day.
Or the incidents of them shooting unarmed black teenagers and old ladies.
>father held back by four officers (two on each arm)
>wasn't going anywhere
>fifth officer wants to taze him
>mother tells him not to taze him because he has a pacemaker
>chief of police for the area was there (knew my father) and also told officer not to taze him
>officer does it anyway
>only gets like a month suspension of work and pay
>didn't even kill shithead father
Rule of thumb, the further north you go, the shittier people/things get. The moment you cross the blue ridge, it's mostly biggots and hicks (Until you hit the west coast)
Even then, the west coast is shit.
>cops tasked with keeping the peace on the streets and given the means to do so
>have to deal with split second situations where not reacting leads to even more death and destruction
I'm entirely convinced that people who hate cops are either niggers or who still think 80s hardcore is relevant.
Since when do cops care about needless deaths?
I know but
>pissy about endangering lives
It makes me genuinely happy that cops get no respect from the mass media & majority population, get shit pay, and have one of most stressful jobs in the US.
I think part of the problem is that there are a lot of cops out there that would be better served being anything but cops, and a lot of engineers and psychologists and EMTs/nurses who would do a lot of good if pressed into service.
I dunno. I don't know what the answer is. I started writing a sci-fi story a while ago where we get tired of this shit. So we disband all the police forces in the country. Seemed like a cool idea but I didn't know where to take it after the initial scenario.
>mfw a 14 year old pretends he knows what dealing with cops is like near me
Just seems like LA cops are particularly brutal when taking down a criminal involved in an automobile chase. Excessive force is encouraged. The city is basically Mega City 1 though. Makes sense.
>mfw a 16 y/o kid who lives at home pretends to know what others have or have not experienced in their life time
>that Russian highway video with the brick hitting the windshield
