Just a friendly reminder that, when you preorder Twilight Princess HD and its exclusive amiibo for 60 US dollars so you can access the amiibo exclusive dungeon, you should do it for Gamestop so you can get the Gamestop Exclusive Soundtrack CD
Thanks again from your pals at Nintendo of America
>Midna spoilers on the box
You can get the CD with the Special Edition in both Japan and Europe. Why is murrica such a shithole?
If anybody cares about buying this game with the amiibo, the best place to buy it is from Amazon with a Prime account. All new preorders are 20% off. This includes standalone amiibo if anyone wanted to get Lucas for cheap. If you really wanted the soundtrack, just download it. It's not worth an extra $8 from GameStop.
>HD version box art in Japan is literally the original with a bunch of bullshit cluttering it up
America wins again.
Shit I didn't think of that actually. Wasn't Gannondorf a surprise reveal at some point? Or am I getting him and Zant mixed up?
>Caring about a physical soundtrack for MIDI shit.
>amiibo exclusive dungeon
>nintendrones defend physical dlc
Fucks sake. This gen is the last gen I buy a console. It's only going to get worse. It won't be long till all games are episodic aswell
B-but its a new dungeon not in the original game! In all seriousness its pretty scummy to do so but it beats it being actual DLC. Plus the amiibo is going to be usable in Zelda Wii U (if that's a positive in the first place)
>The power of the Game Cube and its little 1.7 GB disks.
It was actually 1.5GB
>the ability to change partners based on amiibo
That's actually a really good use for them. Something that doesn't have a major effect on gameplay, but still validates the purchase (kind of).
I'm probably going to gift it to a friend for his kid. The functionality with Zelda U can be a plus, but i doubt it'll be something significant. They should just put all amiibo content as dlc. People who likes amiibos will still buy the figurines.
I don't understand Nintendo sometimes.
>To make this game more enjoyable we have decided to make a new amiibo
Still don't know shit about changes they have made, if any.
>Ganondorf on the box
>He isn't even revealed until after the fourth Dungeon
Nintendo isn't dumb enough to care about spoilers for a ten year old game
The game literally looks worse than dolphin max and they're selling it for 60 dillary doos. A lot more problems than the DLC here. Not even joking if I find a texture pack I can make it look 3 times better than TP "HD"
Doubt it, Kimishima said amiibo are selling well but most people aren't using them as they intended. If anything Nintendo will flat out just start making toys, since that's all people wanted apparently..
>make a new console
>tease a new zelda game for years
>instead of releasing it, they just release old ones with some extra bloom and improved shadows
>it's actually selling
you can't make this shit up
Gotta keep the Wii U alive somehow. Everyone was getting tired of Mario, so they decided to milk Zelda now.
Personally i'm glad more people will be able to enjoy the GC version of the game.
>Skyward Sword HD
That game is beyond repair. Mostly because of the controls and the linear design. Some people will play Zelda U, an open world game as their first Zelda game. I can't picture them enjoying SS.
>paying for something that just a cash-grab remaster of a 10 year old game
>Buying physical DLC for it too
I'm just going to wait till that TPHD thing finally comes out.
If you like Zelda, go for it. Don't expect any kind of AAA third party support though. The exclusives are hit and miss for the most part, but the console itself is really good. Not Nintendo's best, but good overall.
>amiibo exclusive dungeon
Fuck that, I was only getting this because I haven't played it before, but Ill just get the GC version from a scalper when/if I get the urge to play it.
Dont care much for Smash since I dont have friends to play with, bu Splatoon looks pretty neat.
Yeah, I'm a Zelda fan, though I admit I never played TP. The only Zelda I have yet to play. So the HD remaster looks like a good excuse to finally play it.
It has Hero Mode unlocked from the start, like Wind Waker. This usually means you take double damage from enemies, and hearts will never ever appear, so you have to buy potions.
The devs really don't understand why people like screenshots over videos, so shit quialty jpgs are all of the pics I could find of them game. Not like there already isn't plenty of HD Texture packs for Twilight Princess anyway, so if it does ends up looking as shitty as it does on the streams then it really not much of a lost for me.
It may have Hero Mode. You get double damage (so, half heart of damage). I think TP was easy as fuck because of the Wii port. Nintendo dumbed down all his franchises to appeal to new players.
TPHD is the GC version, so i guess they're appealing to fans now, even if the core game will remain easy.
Why is everyone so pissed off about this?
Sony and Microsoft have done the same thing to a greater extent by doubling the price of games and calling them 'deluxe' edition, while Nintendo gives you a neat figurine that you can which you can share with someone to give them the new content free.
It's not okay when Nintendo does it, I guess.
I don't mind texture packs really, but if you want a "true experience" without giving your money to nintendo, get a CRT and play the GC version instead. Shit like REmake still looks better on a CRT.
Because I think the wolf figurine looks neat?
And Fi telling you every 5 minutes that you need to replenish your health.
SS is, to this day, still the most insulting game I have ever played. It makes it seem like I'm literally retarded.
Can't argue with OoT being easy. But back in the day, it was pretty hard. It was the first game doing that kind of shit for a lot of people. Having to target an enemy, dodge and manage magic was something novel in a 3D enviroment.
But by that same logic, TP can be hard for a newcomer i guess. Also give Majora's Mask another chance. Its the oddball, but so was Link's Awakening and that game is awesome.
GameCube version, with left handed Link.
For a while, I was afraid they'd include optional Wii Remote controls, and use that for reasoning to keep the Wii flipped world, but they did not.
Still, a flipped world might be an option. The Master Quest mode of Ocarina of Time 3D flipped everything, so maybe they'll do that with Hero Mode or something.
OoT is more difficult but only because Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are all insultingly easy.
Fairies are still broken as shit in every Zelda though. For some reason nobody told the devs that auto revives should be RARE and not able to be summoned in groups of three at a Goddess Wall.
Link cables were a peripheral owned by literally anyone with a GBA that had an essential use beyond "unlock ONE EXCLUSIVE DUNGEON WITH THIS AMIIBO"
You needed them for multiplayer in every single GBA game that had it
You didn't buy a link cable just to unlock a single dungeon in Zelda
Amiibos are nowhere near comparable to link cables, and unlike link cables, you can't just use the same amiibo for everything because every game requires different amiibos
They serve no purpose beyond locking out content
I don't believe this thing about an exclusive dungeon.
I hate NoA. They're the laziest, cheapest, most ethically immoral (they don't even localize games. They just write whatever the hell they want to based on what the cutscenes show. Like they did with TP), out of touch (and by that I mean the memes) and pilfering company that has ever existed.
But even they're not that evil and stupid.
I preordered back in november at gamestop so im pretty sure ill get the soundtrack.
The question is will the amiibo dungeon even be significant. The color dungeon in links awakening DX gave a boring reward choice.
Reminder, if you're going to complain about amiibo locked content and having to pay for amiibos, you shouldn't even be buying games in the first place.
Nope to all. Same game, but you can make less mistakes. That's why I always do 3-heart runs on Hero Mode for these games when I replay them. For some enemies, you die in one hit, and at the very minimum to the weakest enemies, only 6 hits, with no hearts ever appearing.
This is what I remember from the top of my head:
They took out dialogue with Midna detailing the Sols that you need to collect and why they're the bane to Zant's power.
They took dialogue about some benevolent King that Midna mentions, and warped it around so that it sounds like the game is foreshadowing some ancient Zelda villain. (Just like they did with Fierce Deity by giving it evil connotations; when it has none.)
They messed up Lanayru's warning time-wise. It doesn't really make sense.
Made up a name for the Oocca. They're name is supposed to be Sky People, like the Sky Tribe. And they're not the creators of the Hylians, but of Hyrule. The English version leads you to believe there's some genetic ancestry between Hylians and "Oocca."
Instead of the Sages being Zelda's tutors, they made it so that Rauru is. There's some deep underlying reason why this is important, but I can't remember it right now. It's meta Zelda lore.
>mfw I bought the Wii version and completed it literally a week before this shit was announced
Fuck, should have just waited. I can't really justify buying/playing it again. But that Midna amiibo is fucking tempting.
Nintendo are such fucking jews when it comes to re-releasing old games.
WWHDs entire soundtrack was re-orchestrated, senpai.
What do you mean english to different english?
I don't think they translate it. I think they've got people who aren't fluent in JP to look at the games and give a literal word by word translation. Then they come in and fill in what they don't understand themselves or in some cases don't even edit it.
For instance Ganondorf's last words in TWW>
"Let's see how much your precious Triforce is worth." Is in Japan, "Let's see whether you are worthy of the Triforce."
But in JP, it sounds closer to the first one literally translated.
>What do you mean english to different english?
They mean the translation for Xenoblade X because half the names were English terms anyway.
Doll - Skell
Growth - Ganglion
All the continents have actual names instead of being descriptions (Valley of Oblivion is just Oblivia)
Oh snap. That is awful.
W- why? For what on earth purpose?
