>first few hours of the game are terrible
>it suddenly becomes great
what's her name, /v/?
>Lets jam all our world-building into the first area.
>Done! Here's some dual-wielding rocket launchers. Enjoy!
Is he shooting aliens while trying to hold in a shit?
both Taris and Peragus/Telos are fucking horrific when on multiple playthroughs. first time round they're great, especially Peragus when you wake up on a station with everyone dead and shit happening all around you. spooky shit.
but then it becomes a chore and you'd have to push through it till you get the Ebon Hawk.
>first few hours of the game are great
>it suddenly becomes terrible
Too true, OP.
I loved Taris, I liked just wandering around doing everything, I was eager to leave by the 7hr mark but can't say I hated it.
Bionic Dues. Its hard as balls, difficult to grasp the wierd party structure, and very gear dependant. But once you get a few missions under your belt, understand how to properly use stealth and sniping, and have some good gear, it becomes amazing.
It has a really good story and memorable moments I think it's the worst paced out of the 3. You get a tablet of story every couple of hours as opposed to the other two games where the story is more gradually let out. 1 is almost constant starts and stops. Which I don't mind that much because I like the world, but it starts to get tedious at about the mid point.
Dawn of War 2
>Small unit tactics area thing now
>Oh sweet, individual squads have more options than just move and shoot
>Nice, there's more cover options and I can finally occupy buildings to pummel down the enemies across the street...
>Fuck yeah, fight for a city block by block, island hop from one to the next
>aaand that's the rest of the game.
I could be wrong, after the 4th mission of identical building-hopping I stopped playing
Ass Creed 2
Being an elf is the ultimate edgy fuccboi move. We all know Alliance are all full of gays.
>>first few hours of the game are terrible
>>it suddenly becomes great
Change it to the first hour is grueling dog shit and the rest of the game is great and you have this in a nutshell.
>lol, this game is bad
>combat so clunky
>writing is appaling
>god, it's just awful!
Ended up doing story mode twice in a row, and completing all challenges.
I kind of agree with you, at certain parts at least. Novigrad was a fucking chore to me after the Baron had blown me away. Skellige had some great character in the environment and towns, despite the quests being lackluster.
SR: Dragonfall had a slow start to me, but I gradually liked it more and more as I learned about the main team and did bigger and better jobs.
The first Witcher is actually a great example of this whereas its not true for the Witcher 3. After chapter 1 it becomes amazing but chapter 1 is such a bore. I cant really say "first few hours" because im retarded and the first chapter took me about 25 hours.
Took me a bit to get used to Lisa's combat and cliff jumping.
Still remains my favourite team out of the three games, even tho' some Hong Kong runners came close
>tfw Racter won't be in any other games
>mfw every second of the first few hours
Well, the intro wasn't exactly terrible, but to this day, I always dread doing replays of the game simply because YOU CAN'T FUCKING SKIP OR SPEED UP THE INTRO CUTSCENE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE WII VERSION (WHICH I DON'T).
Because most people like myself assumed the first time we played that you had to kill all those ants and shit in the first temple and that makes it a lot harder than it actually is. Even without that it can be hard for non combat builds, it bottlenecks you pretty early.
