>overrated game didn't sell well
Hmm, I wonder why
not sure if this is bait or you're retarded, but steam shows people playing the game at this moment, not how many people bought it.
>People don't buy a mediocre game
Stop the presses
Considering it is a sale of a 3 year old game, it has done pretty OK on day 1.
Sonic Lost World has been out for several months and it has just now gotten to about 10,000 sales, and that is after a sale. I think it will do alright.
What's so great about it? The abysmal graphics? The unresponsive, clunky combat? The stiff animations? The shallow RPG elements? The damage sponges you fight against? The boring-ass fetch quests? The lazily designed dungeons? The shoe-horned pawn system in place of true co-op? The retarded story? Getting jewed 3 times for the same game? Tell me, what is there to like other than the Berserk armor which isn't even in the PC release? Objectively speaking, Dragon's Dogma has nothing going for itself.
>This is why developers dont take PC as a platform seriously.
>This is why Playstation doesn't care that some of it's games are also on PC.
>This is why developers justify pandering to consoletards.
>This is why publishers release games on PC last as a last ditch effort to make a few more bucks since it's a sales black hole.
>$735,000 for a port
In it's first week on a new platform with very small advertising budget.
Even at half the price during a steam sale, that same sales figure would net ~$400,000 effortlessly.
Steam LITERALLY PRINTS MONEY for games like this. Only the idiots buy it at full first day retail price.
This is the answer, I don't know how people can say pirates cant hurt sales, given the choice people will choose the cheapest option(which would be pirating)
Inb4"I was not going to buy it any way"
The biggest reason why pirates don't buy games IS because they pirate, its such a bullshit response.
if anything it shows that game is selling really well,
I remember games that were sold in 10 millions usually had around 50,000 people playing it at the same time .
Also, I dont know if this indicator is for whole Steam or just for specific area(US,EU,RU,etc).
And in second news, I think that I read somewhere that in pre sales game surpassed 100k(i really dont have source and cant be bothered to search, google is your friend),
all in all, since its pure digital re-re-re-release(no expenses beyond porting) and taking into account that huge corporations realized that 1000 people studios and 5 mill in sales to break even is just not realistic anymore(if ever, maybe for 4-5 "AAA" mediocre games casuals(COD,HALO,WOW etc..) bought when gaming was "the fad of the month".)
But casuals came with Wii and X360, and how those 2 consoles left, so did casuals returned to their home platforms(smartphones and Facebook) and devs are left with army of actual angry gamers who were marginalized for more than 10 years.
We hold their industry afloat in good and in bad, now is time for some serious cock-sucking and pandering to our needs.
So , just enjoy the ride...
I had to choose between this game and the remake of Resident Evil 0. Sorry DD bros ;_; I hope you get your DD2.
I haven't played it yet, still finishing up TW3 before I start playing another long ass open world game
>Xcom: Enemy Unknown sold shitton of copies on PC
>Only a tiny fraction on consoles
>Xcom 2 is now PC exclusive
It's all about the game. If your game is a great PC experience, then people will go to the PC and buy your game there, if it's not then people simply won't buy it.
When people say "devs don't take the PC seriously" i implies that because they don't sell enough on PC that they should abandon it, which i think is fair but alot of the time it seems more like the devs feel entitled like "this game is fantastic look at all these console sales, PC should sell more, why don't these shitty gamers buy our game? they must be pirating it!"
>being a poorfag
LMAOing at your life right now
>releasing a press copy for a japanese single player game
Fallout 4 is the first Fallout I couldnt finish, I couldnt even force myself to run thru main quest.
I had a hard time to finish Fallout 3, but i forced myself to see the end(yet i didnt finish DLCs), on the other hand I did finish FONV 3 times and I have that game in backlog, ill probably replay it again in a year or two.
And im a person who finished Fallout for PS2, im such a Falloutard.
Yet, I dont even know what the fuck Fallout 4 is?
Is it a corridorless FPS, a pick up shit-simulator, boring story that does not hold water, honestly, Skyrim(I cant compare Bethesdas games with nothing else except with another Bethesda game) is much, much better game, at least it had some sense, I knew where the fuck im going and it was actually interesting to go there, at least in start.
But,Fallout 4 is such a mess, it hurts, honestly, I would grab away that whole map Bethesda made and all assets and just give all that to Obsidian, they would be in charge of quests, game mechanics and story.
Bethesda does not have a sense of humor (except basic corporate one) and they lost the touch with their core audience after Oblivion, they believed that by casualising Skyrim they are on the right track, yet with Skyrim they came to total threshold of casualising their games, Fallout 4 just shows that, and when you casualize good old games it usually backfires after one or two sequels when people realize that.
This game was never going to have mass appeal. No one gives a shit about non intuitive stat building, or the pawn system, or class variety, or TECHNOLOGY. or a plot line where you're not a generic good guy saving the day 30 minutes in, or the quests that you have to look for instead of being presented to you, or no level scaling. Most people aren't going to look past the flaws like the slow start and long walking time.
I really liked Fallout4, but I too hope Obsidian (or another worthy company) gets to make a new FO in their name. Imagining the improvement that New Vegas made to FO3 with what could happen to FO4 is an amazing thought.
Man, it's so weird seeing people talk about sales of normal games after being in a big shmup hole recently. 10k sales of a shmup on steam is considered a success there
It's not like DD is a brand new game and has these numbers. I have to imagine even just 100k sales before a massive price drop should be considered a success
I don't know what I expected on PC but christ, I was wondering why no one was summoning my pawn who I already worked hard on getting the inclinations right to work well with being a ranger. I go into the rift after leveling up a decent amount as pure assassin after level 11, and I see pawns that have shittier equipment than me as fighters with 300 more strength than me. Is this really how pawns are gonna work on PC? Who can cheat our pawn the strongest?
>yfw Japan makes better WRPGs than the West does now
>yfw they even got the weird, Western janky graphics down perfectly too
>Japanese game comes out on PC
>it requires ever so slightly more effort and skill than betting CS:GO skins, playing the latest indie roguelite on easy mode for the 500th time, or installing furry sex mods on Fallout 4
>WHERE'S MY REFUND GABEN
>PIRATED, PLAYED FOR AN HOUR, UNINSTALLED, WEEB TRASH
what do i do wrong
my sword attacks barely deal damage at all
but my mage guy just shoot some fire spells and deals massive damage?
What do you mean? I was saying that I like the look of it. It has that WRPG jankiness to it. Think elder scrolls or older CRPGs.
Plus the game is mostly jusst doing mindless stuff so far, which I love. I think in the intro, there was even a French quote that said something to the effect of "Mindlessly doing simple shit is precious awesome."
Does it matter if I release Rook from my party? Any quests or anything that I get locked out of? I don't really want a male pawn, personally.
I want my lesbian warrior band to be unscathed by a male
Because melee is weak early on, and your job is to distract things while your Mage and Sorcerer pawns charge spells.
Later on, reliably hitting weak spots as an Assassin or Ranger will deal tons of damage, and non-giant enemies are barely distractions.
>concurrent players equals the number of copies sold
Getting tired of this meme to be quite frank with you, dudes. It's going to sell about 200k in the long run. Not too much, but not too bad for an old game too.
It's on the top of the steam charts you piece of shit. for a 3 year old game that has already sold more then enough to merit a squeal, this is a nice bump. get the fuck out of here with this shit posting.
>playing your games right after buying them
Get a load of this fag.
Doesn't matter, choose what you want and have fun.
Be aware that your stat growth is determined by your class, so you end up a weaker magic user if you level up several dozen times as a warrior and vice versa.
You still want some defense though as a pure sorcerer has the longevity of wet paper.
I played the leaked version and it was a huge disappointment, didn't even finish it. So that's that, it's not even a bad game though, it's just... Really annoying and tedious to do anything.
When you're actually DOING something like fighting a big monster the game is amazing, but every other time it's just tedious and the fact that the world is enormous and takes tens of minutes to go anywhere doesn't help.
That is my honest opinion that no one asked for.
It was a game that most people already had on Xbox 360 and PS3 2 years ago, now most people moved on to better games while some actually bought the game again.
Mage for a healslut, sorcerer if you running a sorcerer for that orgasmic spell chaining.
You'll never want for healslut pawns if the community ends up like the console versions, 99 percent of player pawns are those.
>Arrive to the capital city
>Get back to rescue the girl in the forest
>Get rekt by the bandits
>Go below the pawn's guild
>Get reck by a cyclop
>Go explore outsite the capital
>Get rekt by bandits
I probably need to git gud, but is there something I gotta do here ?
My knifes does shitall of damage.
Weapons can make a big difference. You can usually make do just fine with stuff you find, however most chests in the game have a drop list between like 2-3 things. So you could luck out and get gear from them, or go the whole game rarely getting anything.
If you find yourself not doing enough damage to enemies, buying a better weapon or upgrading the one you have could help a lot.
>runs well on i5

The only processor I haven't tested it on was on a Pentium 4. It's already confirmed that it will run on a toaster laptop

Now I'm not saying DaS2 is a hard game. But this game so far is a fucking walk in the park in comparison. Quality aside, this game takes very little effort or skill.
How fucking late is it? Like four years or some shit?
I'm not getting it until it's $5, it's literally console scraps, like they can't sell it full price on console anymore so maybe us PC plebs will buy it.
Fuck Crapcom, they're a fucking shit company now. They don't do anything goo any more.
I'm sure this faggot's parents are glad to see their son put his Journalism degree to use by writing prose about fictional video game reptiles.
Also the dragon fights in Inquisition were complete garbage. Literally just wack its shin for twenty minutes until it falls down in an over dramatic death pose.
>Cannot continue quest: This quest can no longer be completed
Fuuuuuuuck. Why didn't you faggots warn me I had to do all the side quests before progressing the main quest line. Now I'll have to start all over again.
>I don't really know why you mentioned DaS2.
I've been playing it since the Christmas Sale up until yesterday. I think most people trying out DD play similar games. Not counterstrike.
But Anon, this is good. I bought it and have no intention of playing right now, because I'm swamped with other stuff. I could have waited. I didn't.
It really is worth it, and I'm more than happy to pay £20 on the off chance it makes Capcom develop DD2. They've done something right here, for once.
Well, the normal game doesn't have many difficult moments or bosses for people used to action games.
BBI is the challenging content, it is actually pretty unforgiving, unless you're playing with one of the classes I've mentioned.
OK guys sell me on this game
Why should I buy it?
my brother picked it up on 360 recently (I think he browses /v/ still or at least caught a reddit post, idk) and it has intrigued me since
What's in the game?
It's the only open-world with a good combat system that I know. Skills are pretty flashy and extremely satisfactory to use. Boss battles are pretty good and enemy designs are cool as fuck. Customization is also God-tier.
Just be aware that the game takes a while to get going. I was bored at first but ended up loving it.
it's a good game that ill get on sale
if they wanted release-tier money, maybe they should have released it 4 years ago with the other versions
or at least before it was free on PS3
>gets blamed on piracy anyways
You can never be sure something is bait.
There are people out there that legitimately believe fallout 4 is a good game, and they do browse /v/.
and they won't stop browsing because you replied or not to their "bait", which these days mean having a stupid opinion.
Obshitidrone detected. How can you still show your face here after being BTFO so thoroughly?
>DDDA all time peak: 25,200
>GGXRD all time peak: 1,954
I love fighting games and I bought GGXRD but they sure are unpopular aren't they...
I thought this game wasn't releasing for a few more hours
Not really. Bethesda games are filled with huge flaws that are ignored by retards because of ''muh big open-world''. They usually have garbage combat system, terrible story, dry voice acting, boring quests, tons of bugs, crappy animations, uninspired designs and a really unimaginative world. They are the very definition of quantity over quality and the worst part is that they will never improve because fanboys eat everything they shit.
I don't give a shit about New Vegas either. Another soulless, boring open-world with crappy gameplay.
Plural, yes, it's like with real martial arts: a pain in the ass to master, takes a ton of time, incredibly few people master more than one style at once (MMA is jack of all trades, master of none).
Pretty much hit the nail on the head.
I found fighting my first cyclops fun and actually felt like I was in some intense battle. The subsequent fights was just grinding through their health bars.
I actually enjoyed the game but it doesn't look like they changed enough for me to justify purchasing it again. I would have appreciated some slightly better gfx/textures etc
Plurale maiestatis? In 2018?
It's so obviously a plain bait that people been arguing about Fallout 4 all the time and people been posting Fallout 4 webm on webm threads that obviously meant they played the game and played it a lot.
One of those people disliking DD and it makes that claim reasonably possible.
>Start to argue with a Bethdrone
>He's to stupid to make any good argument in favor of the game he likes
>Tries to appeal to popularity because he's a sheep who doesn't know how to think for himself or to form his own opinions and because it's easiest way.
I like the game. You don't like the game. The difference is that you both are pretentious kids who act like you're right about everything, and I'm a mature adult who acknowledges that some people like things more than others.
Don't worry, high school is only 4 years my friends. :)
Have a good night.
Jesus christ, this is the most embarrassing post I've read all week.
but 200.000 copies pirated
Pirate fags will soon face the consequences of thinking that all games should be free. They will be stuck with NOTHING but early access shit titles while all the actual games will be on console because it simply won't be worth spending any resources on PC development anymore
It's your fault /v/
KickAss Torrents lists 19,629 downloads on the Seyter repack, 1,825 on the MAXAGENT Repack, 3,608 on the FRIEND release and roughly 1,500 from the other torrents combined.
That's not all of them because of other torrent sites and direct download sites but I wouldn't think it'd all add up to 200k.
$30 REALLY isn't that much money. For a board that hates jews, a lot of guys are really very cheap.
More people will buy it when the price comes down and even more people bought it who aren't playing it.
So, I'm getting mixed reactions about the port. I've heard the graphics are shitty but that is kind of expected from a PS3 game which they didn't update.
How good is this game compared to the original PC port of DMC4? It seems really damn close.
>Everyone plays a game right after purchasing it
>Everyone has cable to download 12gb in an hour
It's the top seller at the moment. Wait for Steam Spy numbers to get a better picture.
>you guys could be playing the game right now because it's pretty damn great
>instead you sit here talking about day 1 sales numbers
Don't forget, dear faggots, that PC has the unique trait of never suffering platform death. Games released for it these days can continue being relevant (and profitable) forever. Sales on release doesn't matter in the same way it does for consoles. If a title is truly good, it will sell on its own merits indefinitely.
It's a single player game but it does seem like it. Just make sure your pawns are melee type. You would have to keep them healed but you also have to cast the rest of the magick too.
>25,000 people playing at once
>that's all the copies they sold!
I can't play it properly because of the constant skipping.
When played in windowed mode, it won't go past the main menu. Menus work and theres sound, but the frame freezes.
Drivers up to date.
144hz, max settings.
I would be in game also if steam would allow me to download it. Every game downloads fine but steam doesn't let me download and play DD. Thanks Gabe!
Yes if you choose and stick with the Mage class you could do all the healing while watching/supporting the pawns while they fight the enemies
I did this for a run on my 360 and it was ok, died a bit more than usual cause Mage has low health/armor so don't get hit
Thanks for answering anons. I played healer/support in da:o and a lot of fun with it. I know the combat in this game is different still wanted to give it a shot if I could after I pick up the game.
Does Cashcom disable console commands in their shitty PC ports? Evidently a side quest which opens up myriad other side quests cancelled itself because I passed an arbitrary point in the story without any prompt that I shouldn't, so I'm curious to see if I can just command in the quest being cleared.
I have, it's the first thing I did. I even did the cure all restart steam trick.
Of course the graphics are bad, it's not like they ever said they're doing a texture overhaul. The biggest beef I got is black bars on 16/10 reso, no Guts armor and the controls while climbing monsters.
I'm sure making your Arisen able to turn upside down while climbing was a bad choice, since many times you can't actually see which way he/she is facing, and the controls reverse when you go upside down, making it annoying to climb anything but straight lines from an cyclops ass to the top of his head
I guess if it sells really, really shitty, they might cancel the DD2 development, you never know with Cashcom.
If you played it a fuckton on console, probably not worth. Also, you have to use default helpers if you pirate, which is a suprisingly big part of the game, since another player could have taught his pawn to fight in a completely different way than your pawn does, adding some variety in the dull combat
I do not know if you realize, but that is easily $750,000 on its first day three years after its initial release for consoles.
But no, muh FLOP meme for games I dislike
I guess it depends, do you enjoy the combat and pawn shit enough to play it again with different class?
There's definetly like 40 hours, but like 35% of the side missions are actual storylines, others are go to place X kill X or gather X amount of X.
Definetly gotta get used to the combat, it's not quite fluid enough to be good hack and slash, and not quite deep enough to be good RPG combat
No there is a part where there's a bunch of I guess smoke or darkness it it looks like the opening of the first Starcraft cinematic. Like very clear lines between the different shades of color all mushed together.
The text I'm referring to is those little updates the game gives you saying "Hey you can do this" or "Don't forget to do this" that are in white. I thought it was FXAA3 HQ but I can't find a place to test the first issue and the text doesn't seem affected.
How the fuck do you even let that happen ?
No really how, I thought she cannot be killed during that fight with the big blonde dickhead.
If you save her she just goes away because she's an ashamed shegoat slut.
I can't bother to find the sauce, I'm sure you can google it or find it in /ddg/ or something, but Capcom hinted that if DD sold well on PC, they'd do a sequal, but someone on the dev team comfirmed that its in early development in twitter
I'm partially to blame. I don't have enough money right now to spend on it, even though I really want the game on PC, and on top of that, I'm currently doing my 100% playthrough of Witcher 3 (first time for 100% in a very long time), and after that I've got Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin to try out. Once I'm done with those two I'll hopefully have enough left over money to grab Dark Arisen on PC.
They said it was a possibility.
If capcom was doing anything with the DD series it's putting more content into the MMO, I mean they're putting a new class soon so it's obviously not something they're ignoring.
I was running around with her in my party instead of just completing the escort mission. She dies immediately before I complete an ambush mission or something and the game autosaves like a motherfucker.
Not a thing.
It's all set to application controlled right now and doesn't work. Even tried control panel controlled. Nothing.
You can see in the support forums quite a few other people are having this issue.
Ive changed every setting possible. Even went to the lowest setting including resolution and set the frame rate to 30.
There is a massive skipping issue. It's so bad that just throwing a pot would freak it out. Moving the camera alone is an eyesore, it makes all the frames just...jump rapidly.
Not like a skip but a different kind of tearing maybe?
How's it play with KB+M?
Or should I stick with a controller instead?
he's not as bad as this guy
Steam Spy says 22,926 ± 5,745, so it may have very well broken 25k already.
It'll have to be out a few more days, a lot of people wait for outlets to put out their reviews before purchasing.
I'm not online right now. Does that mean I didn't buy it?
Well, if it isn't any of those then I got nothing. I'm not sure if it's related to your 144Hz monitor either because they've said that the port is supposed to be able to support those.
Atleast you tried. Thanks
Guess I'll wait for Capcom to patch it.
WHY CAN'T I TELL THESE ESCORTS TO JUST STAY THE FUCK BACK
how about i7 4700MQ 2.4ghz, I think I can run most of the ps3 games maybe
on that note, be careful, watch for animations when attacking the enemy since they don't always get stunned. Plan your attacks and set up a varied but functional party and you should do fine on early game.
>really very cheap
They're poorfags. The bane of this board. They're the salty fags shitposting about console wars and exclusives because they can't buy shit.
They should be lined up and executed.
Friendly reminder that a quick-and-dirty method to get a rough estimate of the number of people who have bought a game on Steam is to multiply the number of user reviews by 50. That is the average ratio of purchases to reviews across Steam.
>1: For there to be a buzz about it
>2: For it to be good
OH SHIT SHOTS FIRED AHAHAHAHA
People are actually playing the game, however
>mustards in charge of saving gaming
If the one million online DOTA players didn't tell you the platform is fucked beyond all hope, I don't know what will.
>get to level 45
>only played vanilla on PS3 so no idea what to expect
>Death kills one of my pawns in a single touch
>Deathknight makes me use a Wakestone
>Giant Skeleton destroys me in a single blow
I might just finish the main game first and come back later.
i just added 100 dollars to my steam account and i aint buying this cunt of a game go fuck yourself op you piece of fucking kak i hope someone stabs you with a rusty fork and then forks your mother in their own repo faggot everyone on earth hates you
good for you, would you like your gold star now?
Is this game like Baldur's Gate or Pillars of Eternity or something? I hear all about how you make your avatar and then you control pawns that are fighter/sorcerer/cleric which is just your generic wrpg trinity to support the player character.
I know. I'm only a few rooms into the Ward of Regret and I'm getting my ass pounded.
I also don't wanna do too much on BBI and then go back to main game and be a walking death machine.
HA! Just wait until they say PC market's no good. You Pirates did this on yourselves.
>It's already confirmed that it will run on a toaster laptop
We'll see about that. This toaster meme needs to end, people call anything that isn't a high end rig a toaster
Does the PC version have the extra outfits, like Madeleine's dress or the jester hat?
>PC port will fund DD2! Console gamers don't buy games!
So what the fuck funded DDO?
>in-game people = amount of people that bought the game
r e t a r d
Guys, I just accidentally clicked on the wrong vocation. I just spend an hour playing the tutorial level and making my character, can I undo this and choose another vocation or do I seriously have to start a new game?
You can change vocations at will, just need a few discipline points to unlock a new vocation the first time you switch to it. if it really bothers you, get your pawn, go back to the first town at night and talk to the lady on the pier. It's the fastest you can change vocation at the start of the game, just don't try to progress on the island, just go back to the continent.
Ubisoft and EA will end up destroying themselves, hell, Assassins Creed is dead.
Capcom will survive because they don't completely fuck it up with their games, but fortunately they seem to be selling lower and lower.
They have already done way too much damage.
played pirated version 30+ hours
game is definitely overrated
some choises are just bad: instant ko, pawns taking inventory items, awful spells (useless in most cases) dont get me started on fast travel
/v/ bashed better games to death 3 years ago but DD was a ps3 exclusive so every thread was circlejerk
>some choises are just bad: instant ko, pawns taking inventory items, awful spells (useless in most cases) dont get me started on fast travel
Seems like you mostly lack knowledge about the game.
I hope you guys didn't trick me into buying a bad game. Seems pretty decent from the first two little things I've done so far. The autism is gonna be in high fucking gear though til I can change my vocation.
I wanted to be a fighter/swordsman but I chose strider by mistake. Mage would have been my second choice. Am I a pleb? Strider just seems like the edgy fedora option.
>He thinks EA will destroy themselves
>He doesn't know that all 3 EA sports game is in the top 10 of the best selling games of 2015
>He doesn't know that despite being utter fucking cancer Battlefront is the 4th highest selling game of 2015
>He honestly thinks EA will destroy themselves
>I wanted to be a fighter/swordsman but I chose strider by mistake.
Not a big mistake. Fighter is honestly pretty boring unless you like the tank role.
>Strider just seems like the edgy fedora option.
It's pretty much a single player game, I assure nobody gives a shit what you play ultimately.
The Strider/Ranger is more of a jack of all trades when it comes to martial combat. They're just as good at fighting with their short swords and close range skills as they are a bow.
They will, at some point.
Ubisoft managed to do it, EA will do so too.
I think they get money, I mean, this sudden rush of weebshit we have on Steam mustn't be because they don't sell.
Well, it runs. Not well, but it runs. Kek. I'll try how high I can go with the resolution while maintaining somewhat decent framerate, right now it's like 30 with drops
>Look at Battlefront, it failed to meet EA's expectations even though it launched in the middle of all the Episode 7 hype.
1024x768 is too advanced for this beast, starting to get uncomfortable hiccups
I went into the PC version of DD knowing precisely jack shit and I was fucking baffled by all the systems in the game
I had to actually stop at one point and go "Wait, does this game have fucking just frame guards?"
>Bought DD on day one
>Traded in and bought Dark Arisen on day one
I'm going to wait for it to drop to at least $20 if not $15 before I think of buying it again for PC.
The selection for the base classes and their Advanced versions is limited in that you don't get any alternative types of weapons for your Vocation, but the Strider/Ranger has both effective close and ranged options compared to the Fighter/Warrior who only has his melee weapon and the Mage who only has his magic staff. The hybrid classes Magick Archer, Mystic Knight and Assassin are much more diverse and can equip multiple types of weapons, meaning more skills equipped at once.
The Strider is daggers and a shortbow. Ranger is daggers and a longbow.
Their later dagger skills involve lots of high mobility hit&run attacks, stuns and snares.
The bow skills are a mix of area/cluster/rapid shots, status effect arrows and long range/big damage single shots.
So now I have it stretched to full screen with 800x600. Isn't that basically how it ran on PS3 too. The framerate is actually better though, I'm pretty impressed. Like this is totally playable
I picked strider but I wanted fighter. Is it possible to not use a bow being a strider? Like having daggers for a light weapon and for your heavy having a sword? I guess it would be good having some attacks with range, but archery never tickled by balls any.
>serious graphical glitches that can't be ignored
>doesn't call bethesda out on the exact same shit
Secondary is only for bows but it's perfectly fine. Going Strider first is pretty good for physical vocations anyways so it was a lucky accident.
Level it to max and then go into your vocation of choice imo. Also you don't have to rush yourself with levelling vocations, you can take your sweet time to bring Fighter to max as well after you finish Strider. Just keep in mind that not all attacks are carried over to different vocations, only the augments do (which are the point of levelling vocations)
>get to gran soren
>speak to person
You can switch to any vocation you want instantly. You only have to be in a town.
Also you have to unlock them once but they are super cheap so don't worry about it. After level 20 I was swimming in Discipline Points.
Thanks for spoonfeeding me m8s. This is the first western style RPG I've ever played. That's a lie, I played Morrowind but nothing other than that. Sorry for that 7 too.
You can change to any of the Advanced or Hybrid Vocations once you reach Character Level 10. Then you talk to the innkeeper at Gran Soren to change vocations.
However, to get the most out of Hybrid Classes (any Vocation, really as the passive skills earned in one vocation can be used for any other, and most combat Skills from the Basic and Advanced classes can be used for the Advanced and Hybrids), you need to Rank up and unlock all of the skills of the Base and Advanced Vocations so that you can use their skills for Assassin.
Yeah everything on lowest possible. Doesn't look too bad, though I'm only in the tutorial area. Oh yeah and ignore this >>324116690 I was changing the keyboard options, not controller. All in all this pretty much feels like playing on PS3, except higher framerate. I might actually buy this so I can pimp pawns on PC
Is there a point to fucking gifting shit to NPCs???
Every time they just say "thank you" and don't reciprocate with any other items or info.
I have been playing the leak up to Final Battle, and now that the game's been released I'm thinking of buying the game to get access to the online component. Offline pawns sucks balls.
Anyone have any ideas where the save files are? They're not in My Games, nor AppData, and not in the main DD folder either.
I'm not really in the mood to replay the entire game again from start, even if I would do things differently.
>People still pretend that PC is an actual competitor to consoles
I'll never understand this pathetic meme.
Did I do good guys? I'm only level 20.
Also my pawn has Catapult Blade but I don't know when he would use it. Is it just something that happens during fights with big monsters or is there something I can do to trigger it?
>nowhere on that page does it list the number of sales
literally this. bought the game, pirated it, not playing it on steam because there doesn't seem to be a way to transfer saves yet.
christ almighty /v/ loves to hop on bandwagons
Why are PC gamers so fucking cancerous? Almost every one I've met just whines and nitpicks. Is it because they never seem to have any friends irl to play with, or are they just too jaded to enjoy games anymore. Seriously, if you don't like games then fuck off. Not even after (you)s here, I'm genuinely mad. PC gaming has so much potential but its being held back by such a retarded fucking userbase. I hate them so much.
A Pawn equipped with the Catapault Blade will typically only use it if one of his Inclinations is Utilitarian. When he does, he'll typically position himself in a good spot and call out to you, Arisen. Then you just jump at him and he'll send you skyward.
It's easier for you to make use of the Skill since Pawns will immediately jump at the opportunity and go flying towards the enemy.
Definitely eventually. What's this game have in the way of support classes
DD is seriously overrated among gamers and reviews at launch were right with 6-7 scores,l
The gameplay with some classes feels great but the story, whole quest structure and overall the actual walking simulator factor are just bad.
Pcfags are just salty that consoles get all the good games first so when they finally do get ported to pc they have to nitpick to make themselves feel better.
That's why I'm an idort.
Feels good being superior.
Sounds like I should just put something else in that skill slot since he doesn't have any secondary skills he probably won't use it often enough to be worth it.
My PC is an assassin, do I get double jump without having to use daggers? Or will I need to switch to them when I want to use that skill?
>Except /v/ has loved it since PS3 you newfag.
i was referring to the bandwagon of shitting on anything that seems to be remotely fun/popular fampai
i enjoyed this game way more than i thought i would
>PC gaming has so much potential but its being held back by such a retarded fucking userbase.
It's held back by the pirates.
So many devs have said the piracy rate on PC is just too fucking high to put much effort into the platform. A few flat out said piracy is the reason they almost completely abandoned it, e.g. Epic and Crytek.
Now PC gamers are jaded because they feel like they are second class citizens to console gamers and they kind of are but it's their own fault.
Advice for every new player
I was going to say keep your hands away from the Dpad but how do PC players give Pawn commands? For console players there were 2 different "Help" commands (left and right on the Dpad), both of them seemed to be the same but had huge differences.
Anyways, if you play with a controller on PC never use the right or down Dpad command. NEVER
YOUR PAWNS WILL BECOME USELESS PIECES OF SHIT
