With 3 per you are not going to hit shit. That isn't much of a problem if you are shooting for a feat like Execute since the 70 skill requirement isn't really a lot, but that 3 per means you have a penalty on your skill so you'd have to waste a lot of points to get it.

Using a q109 black cloth ends up increasing the stealth bonus from 18 to 21. I don't know what's the highest quality for black cloth, but I doubt max quality benefits more than +5 from this feat. That's shit. Waste of a perk.

I disposed of all the guys around Balor (except for 5) with a non silenced smg. AI is pretty weak on that front, if get in a corner quick enough until you can cloak, no need to have stealthy weapons.

Crit knives. Go dex and agi. Forget will and str and per. If you want to craft, take int up to 7. Keep in mind that you can make equipment that boosts a shit ton of points in stealth, and since you will be going "light armor", its not a bad trade to invest points in tailoring for suits, electronics for equipment and mech for your knives.
Merchant is useless and i dot suggest going for intimidate/persuasion since you can finish all quests with out those.

The game really picks up once you do Gorsky's quest

What? I just tested it, but don't see it working like that. Crafted a balaclava from that q109 cloth, and the result was one with +21 to stealth. Equipped it, combat stats still show +21. Unless I completely misunderstood what you just said.

I haven't worked with infused leather yet, but I don't see how that'd change anything. As far as I can tell only the Skinner perk would benefit from it like that, once when you infuse the leather, and once when you craft from it. But clothes you only apply when crafting an armor or whatever.

In that sense Skinner sounds a clearly superior perk.

Yes. 2 of them, anyway, SoC and CoP. Forget Clear Sky. SoC is getting up there in age but it has the tone right. CoP is better in gamey terms but it lacks the mood of the thing.

They're both similar to Underrail in that you can play them at your own pace. Explore, find shit, trade what shit you find, improve your own crap, get scared as fuck, that kinda thing. No twitch-y shooter mechanics so you should be alright.

the only reason it has that tag really is the open-world, quests, and inventory management

I would love to see all kinds of crpgs made with this level of passion and respect for classics.

Technically my biggest problem with shooters is that they give me a hell of a motion sickness if they are even remotely fast paced. Playing sniper or something, that doesn't cause the camera to start shaking, is perfectly fine.

Easiest way to make loadsa Charons is check the loot and recycle the near undamaged items with low value. repair the damaged stuff with low value then with the kits you made.

You should be alright with Stalker. Most of the action takes place outside and it's rare that an enemy has you shaking the camera that hard trying to aim at him. Except Chimeras. Be afraid.

Not much. You can defend yourself against elemental damage like fire or cold, or against the attacks that do mechanical damage. For other spells, mainly thought control, only your resolve helps. But resolve is pretty much only for psi characters, as it depends on your will.
