What developer besides HAL would you want to take on Kirby?
It's nice to have another character that's as average joe as Kirby.
Like, Waddle Dee isn't WHOA DA KING OF DA BATTLESHIP SEW COOL U GUYS NO REALLY
He's just Kirby's bro who likes to jab niggahs with his jab stick.
Paco the Exiled one?
>Barneyfag waits a few minutes to hide the fact that he's OP
>OPs pic was made by the team that makes Barney and Friends
Hardware abstraction libraries can't make games, silly anon
Since my question got ignored in lieu of a Barneyfag bait thread, I'll reiterate my question.
How different would things be if Meta Knight had succeeded in taking over Dreamland?
It was an unlockable minigame. They also had a pinball and shmup game as well, along with a few more if i remmeber.
He wanted to end Dreamland's "Lazy lifestyle". Shit I'm imagining MK police state. Dreamland might have actual technology. D3 would have to flee. Kirby shamed and a wanted fugitive.
Do you think he would become somewhat tyrannical, or would he be an honest ruler?
I understand Meta Knight likes to live by the whole chivalric code thing, but somehow I feel like the power would get to his head.
Maybe I'm just underestimating the borb.
>Still no official 3D model of maskless Meta Knight by Hal
How much longer do I have to wait?
When people stop providing bait, the biting stops. Strange how that works, isn't it?
Regardless of the reason, let's just say he's gone and leave it at that.
No one is defending anything but their right to a civilized Kirby thread.
How about another Kirby game that expands upon Kirby 64, and brings back the ability to combine abilities? I was awfully disappointed that we never got a game like that for the GameCube, and we almost did, too.
>Barney is often overly analytical and alarmist about benign situations, such as the modest Mayberry crime scene. He takes a minor infraction, blows it out of proportion, and then concocts an elaborate solution (sometimes involving inept civilians, like Otis Campbell or Gomer Pyle) to resolve it. In one early episode, where Andy was briefly summoned away, acting sheriff Barney proceeds to book and lock up nearly everyone in town. Despite his shortcomings, Barney is zealous about law enforcement, regularly spouting off penal codes and ordinances to thugs and jaywalkers alike.
>An emotional powderkeg, Barney often overreacts with panic, despair or bug-eyed fear. Barney is smug and self-confident, and is known for engaging in gossip and revealing both personal and police secrets, often with dire consequences. Outwardly "a man of the world," Barney is truly naïve and easily duped. Though constantly warned by Andy, Barney falls for countless scams. This gullibility is evident in many episodes, including "Barney's First Car", where he is conned into buying a lemon from a crafty old widow.
That's it. I'm calling you Barney Fife from now on.
I think Mass Attack with Waddle Dees would be perfect
It just makes so much sense to make an RTS with them since they already have units for new idea
I can't decide if an open-world Kirby game with the Air Ride star things as ways to get around would be good or not.
I want to say no, but I just keep thinking about City Trial and how it'd be that but bigger.
>Kirby eats cursed apple
>BanDee goes on a quest to get a magic wake-up mcguffin to save his buddy
This shit writes itself. That would be fuckin' awesome
We all agreed on fridge being the best Kirby ability, right?
Don't crush my dreams anon. D3 Drum Dash Deluxe gives me hope they might be willing to do it someday.
They used to. Mostly they stick to Kirby nowadays or help out Ninty's other devs on some projects (like smash). I think they made boxboy recently though
>D3 Drum Dash Deluxe gives me hope they might be willing to do it someday.
Hal's boner for Dedede suggests you'll probably get a game eventually. As a Metafag, I'm probably never going to be that lucky.
>shmup where you can capture enemies including mid-bosses and make them your helpers
>when you're done with them you turn them into energy to fire giant lasers at the end-level bosses
>this can result in huge laser duels
this shmup already exists, it's called G-Darius
>HAL has said in the past that they have trouble using Meta Knight, since it's hard to have a reason for him to show up.
Despite being made for the series, he just doesn't really fit in with the bright and colorful, whimsical nature of the Kirby games unless they really force it.
>Wittle babby hammer
>Better than a sword that's on fire
>he needs a big flaming sword to feel so kuul ^-^
compensating for somethin', m8?
Out of the way, faggots.
>Supposed to resemble a beetle's horns
>I always saw it as a giant pompadour
>we still don't have a kirby rpg where the copy abilities act as a job system and features paper mario like writing
Atlest I could watch those kirby saga videos on youtube to remind myself that we'll never get a kirby rpg.
At least you have plenty of people, including Hal Lab itself, supporting your penguin love with constant acknowledgment.
People just call me an orbfucker, or a "borb", and move on.
I suppose you're right. There's been a lot of penguin love lately and the few artists that draw Dedede frequently aren't half bad.
How can one penguin king be so kind and benevolent towards his subjects?
Sadly, most of the notable 3rd parties only do one thing.
When they do something outside their normal games, they don't sell. Rare was the only 2nd party that did more than just the games they're known for, and look what happened.
>yfw a kirby rpg developed by
it ends up being an rpg about fishing, with kirby teaching the MC how to fish and other characters dressed in kirby character costumes
PLATINUM GAMES ECKS DEE
Jokes aside, I'm not really sure. Whoever did it, I'd love for them to take a second crack at that true 3D Kirby they tried to make on the GameCube way back when.
I'd want it to be direct ripoff of Xenoblade Chronicles' combat system with the auto attacks and positioning and arts combo/morale system, only instead of Monado Arts, Kirby gets Copy Arts, where he puts on a different copy ability that radically changes his Arts Loadout.
Other party members would the obvious ones of Dedede, Metaknight, and Waddle Dee, but also other characters from past games like Ricky, Ribbon, Adeline, the leader of the Squeak Squad, etc.
