MK9 lasted longer because it was a nostalgia wetdream so people put up with the shit netcode, or just played it offline.

Gameplay wise MKX is a far better game.

If they continue to release characters past KP2, and eventually a "GOTY"/Komplete edition, and the netcode is as good as KI, then people will stick with it.

It could have been fun shit with KAK but the Mortal Kart minigame felt tacked on and fuck playing as Taven in Konquest Mode. And the bios were rushed/unfinished too.

Maybe should have used Kreate a Fatality for Custom Kombatant, Reused The Fatalities from DA and D characters and made new ones for returning characters.

I mean they reused stages, models/outfits and Movesets so reusing Fatalities would be a no brainer right?

Um its hard to say, dash speed is different between characters in each game, so its hard to really compare.

In a lot of games you don't really use dash as your main form of movement though, so it doesn't really effect the pace or speed of a game.

Originally it was supposed to be random, every other frame would change who has the advantage for trades, but the bug made it so player 1 always had the advantage.

Originally it was a design choice that they used in all there games as someone there didn't like trading hits.
