There's still massive amounts of people in AoW2 servers compared to other mods.

When I drag and drop the WAD onto gzdoom and select doom1.wad from the IWAD menu, it just starts up regular doom1.wad instead of the WAD.
All my other mods and WADs work fine but this one isn't.

Just make a directory called 'skins' in your gzdoom directory and it will autoload it
Let me help you, place DOOM.WAD and Romero's e1m8b.wad in zdoom directory. Create a shortcut for zdoom.exe. Open shortcut's properties and in Shortcut->Target enter this:
[..]\zdoom.exe -file [...]\e1m8b.wad -skill 2 +map e1m8
"[...]" signifies the path to the file so insert where the file are located. "skill 2" is medium, there are 4 total so adjust if you see fit. This command will autostart the level once you launch throught the shortcut.

Just played through the level. Fun, but didn't have the same sort of final boss level feel until the very end with the two barons of hell. I think I still prefer the original e1m8 due to the small size and the fact that is feels like a final boss level.

It's 3pm where I'm at so the kids haven't even gotten off from school yet to get on.
It's also before 5pm, most places, so there won't be as many adults on as well.
Usually the servers get populated at night, unless you're in an IRC channel with some people to pool from; like the /vr/ channel. Also, the weekend is coming up, so that means more people on as well. It's also friday which means it's FridayNightFragfest later tonight.

If you're having trouble running anything, besides the iwads, then just download ZDL and have it handle everything. Seriously, fuck trying to load 5 different mods at once through command lines or drag'n'drop.
Besides that, GMOTA/Demonsteele/MSX are the reasons I still keep coming back to play Doom time and time again. I like DoomRL, but I really don't like DoomRPG, and I feel like them trying to make them compatible is holding back DoomRL from being even better. At least the monster pack is for DoomRL instead of requiring DoomRPG to run it.

It's like DoomRPG tried to take Wrath of Cronos and make it more in-depth by jamming whatever feature they could put out without giving any fucks of how much of a clusterfuck the HUD becomes. Still really good game, and there's a nice mix between futa and fur and non-fur content.
TiTs has even more furry though, every "alien" race is basically a dog or cat furry. No actual alien stuff like multi-arm or multi-eyed creatures, nope, only furry morphs.
But seriously though, I wouldn't mind a bit of futa here and there, but the game is chock full of it and it just pisses me off.

There is about a 50/50 futa/no futa stuff in either games.
And you sort of get used to it. I found futanari to be pretty 'meh' when I first discovered /d/, but after a while it grew on me. For someone who's not into the stuff however you're problably going to have a bad time in either CoC or TiTs until you accept futa-content in the games, or just start liking futa yourself.
Give it a chance, it's a surprisingly good genre.
Considering how much work they've put into TiTs, I doubt they're doing it for the money.

as you go to sleep, remind yourself that when you wake up you want to think about your dreams and remember them. this can be surprisingly effective, it's similar to setting an alarm and then waking up before it goes off, if you've experienced that.
the reason most people forget their dreams is that when they first wake up they are immediately distracted by something in waking reality, like thinking about what they need to do like work or school or whatever, and dream memories fade extremely quickly. so when you wake up you needed to be thinking about what you were just doing.
then, of course, write down what you remember, if anything, in a dream journal. i just have a big ass word document myself, with each dream-night dated and some titled.
it might take a little bit to be able to do that consistently, but if you keep trying you'll be able to remember your dreams better and better.

I started with ZDaemon, good times. Moved to Skulltag after that.
Tekwar was actually the first game on the market to use the BUILD engine. It was probably the only time they actually used a modern engine. I had no idea they actually had bigger plans for the game. The engine just wasn't mature enough for that sort of thing.
The other game ahead of its time is Cybermage: Darklight Awakening, but the game is flatout unstable.
You should be able to find the demo on the net with a bit of digging if you want to give it a go.

By the way, this wad won't work in Choco Doom. So that won't even work. Hah! But you can use Zdoom or GZDoom on Linux no worries. Same shit.

If you want to warp from within the game you can start a new game and
type 'idclev18' or 'map e1m8' from the console.
You have to edit that .bat file every time you want to load a different wad, don't you?
At the end of the line type '%1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9'. You can now load up to 9 extra wads from that bat file without editing it.
