It has released niggas.
Playing it right now.
>Last update after hours of download
>Missing content manifest
Sometimes I just wanna kill myself.
>Have the game preloaded for days
>Go to launch it
>Have to sit through half an hour of additional downloads out of nowhere.
Fuck that bullshit, I was curious as to why the preload was smaller than the game was claimed to be, now I know.
literally no idea why it's so slow. I'm not unpacking it off a fucking floppy disk. less than 1kb/s atm
So what's the simplest way to make the game look a bit less bleak?
Just sweetfx? sweetfx+reshade? ENB?
I just want there to be a bit more color to everything, I don't want crazy DOF or bloom or whatever.
What's up with my shadows?
Everything is maxed out, but they look decidedly blocky.
I would do it myself but out right now but could someone please confirm if pirated saves work on the steam release?
Thanks in advance
>Only game I have been hyped for in the past few years
>Only game I have ever preordered apart from TOR
>Never played the last gen release
>Can't play for the next few hours because mother is coming to visit and gf watching tv in the same room
Nothing's ever easy.
>load it up on hard
>get oneshot by the poison from chimera
okay I was thinking difficult but fair now I'm thinking difficult and unfair
>mfw playing it on ps3 for the first time after seeing all the webms
Oh god, the game starts off and the female Arisen has no pants.
This is gonna be good.
Pick for me /v/
the webms look cool. but ultimately it's just a sorcerer standing there while a tornado fucks up his enemies.
again, it looks cool. but it's just an animation. you're not even involved.
I'm with ya there. I've played it on the 360 for a while, but seeing some of this makes me feel left out.
a-at least I still have the Berserk armors and nip voice overs I guess
Literally why is it doing this?
That ass, though.
Sweetfx Masterworks preset.
Came with a built-in nude mod so we wouldn't have to.
Very kind devs.
i just want to say grigori is my husbando
have a good game
FLYING INFO FREE
>Open file location for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
>Create backup of Tittle_DDN.sngw (make sure to move it to another folder there seems to be a strange glitch with the audio when it is in the folder)
>Import downloaded Tittle_DDN.sngw
copied from an old thread , second link is broken and the first link has the song sped up to avoid it being taken down so im not sure ill keep it
I'm thinking I might get it on sale. I just want someone to love my pawn
Shame this game is a overhyped average game with nothing going on for it besides the combat
I wouldn't worry too much. Later on there's an NPC that shows up in the encampment that you can buy potions that change your pawn's inclinations if you screw up. Just don't make them guardian.
That same NPC sells items that allow you to change your character's appearance any time you want too.
>tfw I will one day get the PC version and abandon my pawn on the 360
>she will always be there waiting for me to return to take her on more adventures
>that day will more than likely never come
It will be a bittersweet day.
Doesn't really matter.
Rangers are generally easier to train than sorcs since they don't have long cast times and still have useful melee.
Mages can have some offensive and utility magic or just full blown buffbot.
Having 2 ranged pawns generally helps since they will stick together and cover each other.
>finally getting to use mage at 60 fps
I can't fucking wait to start sorcerer
>played game on console, but only after the online was mostly dead
>not sure if I should buy it again just to see the new look and a live online
Your supposed to get a good grounding on the game and switch to hard around the wrym hunt. You keep all your stuff and skills so you're not set back that far. You'll just keep getting one-shot otherwise.
If you're making a Strider or Ranger pawn make sure you teach them how to use different arrows. Remember your pawn learns from you're tactics.
Poison arrows are good against bandits, but stop using them once their poisoned. I'll let you figure out the uses of the others.
Holy fuck this port is garbage
My gaming laptop can barely run this game. Fuck Capcom.
>eternal loading screen after the tutorial area
End my life.
>the intro is laggy as shit
ooh fuck ok lowest possible settings
>it still runs like total garbage
Back to the 360.
I could have brought Darkest Dungeon.
Don't forget to check your storage at the inn for a bunch of goodies the devs have slipped into the game.
Couple pieces of choice equipment.
>game keeps freezing or shutting down my computer in the tutorial
Fucking hell, I can't figure out what the problem is. I can't play ANY game due to this problem except for that GitS shooter. I even lowered the resolution and set it to windowed. Everyone else was already set low.
>my 8 years old secondary PC which has some shitty core2duo processor and ATI card I used for Crysis is running it fine at 1680x1050 on medium
What kind of museum technology do you own?
No. Just grind as the same class for awhile. You'll want some augments from striders or rangers anyway. It shouldn't take too long. Once you see him doing stuff that you do then you can stop.
This is my Arisen. How did I do?
Used the .webm of that muscle ranger for inspiration.
Dunno if this is any good, but I'm gonna refer to this to give me some understanding of the pawn system.
Yes you can, it just restarts the game and you lose nothing but your actual game progress, everything else you keep. Did you even read what I said?
>You keep all your stuff and skills so you're not set back that far.
Almost done downloading the game now, thinking Ill go either mystic knight or sorcerer. Question for those who have played. From most of the webms I see, magic looks super cool, but not all that involved. Is it actually anything more then press button watch the pretty animation and particles?
So I'm loading the game as we speak, how's climbing monsters work in this game? I've seen some videos and it seems confusing. Am I supposed to aim for the head or the feet? Is climbing always a good idea on huge monsters?
>mfw a bat does 100 damage off one bite on Hard Mode
hmm...this game isn't a joke I see
It doesn't? I didn't want to download xinput botnet.
>turn gamma down
Just in case, anyone with physical version needs to download additional 1.8GB of data.
>already stuck on character creation trying to decide what kind of character I want to make
You can change you vocation to the more advanced ones as soon as you get to Gran Soren. All of the hybrid classes are a ton of fun, yes. Really the only class that's kinda lame is mage.
this, holy shit. i had it when dark souls 2 came out aswel
what the fuck do i do~
>Mods already allow everyone to equip everything
I'm satisfied. Now to just wait for the weapon fixes so I can be a greatsword-wielding sorcerer.
I was playing the schoolproject version already but I just said fuck it and just bought it on steam.
Can I just ctrl c ctrl v the game folder into my steam library?
Also, how do I transfer my save?
Personally, I'd start on normal but I know some people like to tough it out and get a shit load of gold and stuff early on so it's up to you. It takes a while for a lot of the base enemies to get any easier though.
Suck it up. You'll see yourself get better.
You can run if you think things won't go your way. It's a tip on loading screens and if you ask your pawns. Plus it's only the tutorial scrub.
I have an audio desync in cutscenes. Does anyone have this? It may be an issue with my BIOS, I had a similar problem before, so I need a confirmation that it's exclusive to me.
>how do I transfer my save
You can't, faggot. Enjoy starting over if you want pawns.
Screenshot of my pawn waifu
If you maker her your first online pawn she'll climb on the hydra and fuck it up
Guys what's the name of the folder of the game in your steam library? I'm trying to transfer the pirated version to steam so I don't have to redownload the entire thing.
Audio is kill got to turn speakers up to full but the game is running great so far otherwise no slow downs at all with all settings on maximum. My graphics card fan has yet to start spinning after an hour.
No one at capcom ever said anything about cracks.
The game registers your save to your account to prevent someone else from uploading/updating your pawn.
The crack uses a dummy account so it's saves will never work with the retail version.
This has been common knowledge since the crack released.
Mage: Buff bitch with some ranged attacks, makes way for Sorc which shits AoE damage with some of the coolest spells in any game
Strider: Bows and Daggers. Even stat growth so it can become any class. Only starting class that can take advantage of climbing large creatures (climb a cyclops and gouge out its eye, climb a hydra and cut off its head, etc.). You get an invincible dodge roll.
Fighter: You get a shield. Whoopdie-doo.
Use this save editor after creating a save in the legitimate DD by unpacking both saves, finding your steamid, and changing it in the cracked version to your steamid. You now can play DD with your pirated character.
>waste two posts trying to insult someone while contributing absolutely nothing other than shitting down the thread
>now a giant asshole
It's okay, assholes generally don't acknowledge themselves as one. Doesn't make them any less of it.
Ok, I could convert a save from a pirated version to steam using a tool:http://steamcommunity.com/app/367500/discussions/0/451850849185904798/
Just unpack the save to xml, both the pirated version and a steam version, edit the steamID from the pirated version xml, you can get your steamID from the save that the steam version created, just pack everything and you good to go.
r8 my Arisenfu.
Based her off Sasha from SnK.
Friendly reminder that the final boss is God who was the previous Arisen, the guy you play as in the beginning of the game. Your pawn becomes you after killing yourself.
You fuckers ruined starwar for me. I am ruining this for you.
Oh no, you ruined 4 year old game most of the people have already played.
But we all know that anon...
>Actually mad about star wars spoilers
>he doesn't know that the only reason to get the retail release is pawns
>he doesn't know that pawns are the best part of this game
>he doesn't know that the online community is all pawn waifus and trading
Seriously, end your pathetic life.
Post your Arisen, Faggots
First Pawn is fine too.
Can you disclose the rest of capcom's policies to us as well, since you work with them?
How bad is my Mystic Knight going to be when I switch right at level 10?
harde mode is doable on fresh new game but it's a trial by fire, you will get one shot or two shot all the time and you'll need to learn how to read enemy attacks and evade them perfectly
also the beginning of hard mode is arguably the hardest because you have no skills and no stamina, once you get to level 20 or so its much more manageable
Can I throw this fat fuck from the cliff?
someone please buy me the game
turns out you cant transfer saves so i dont wanna waste time playing on pirate copy
i will be your internet girl friend and will send lewd~~ upon request, but you have to give me time to take them!
People are saying that if you find the config.ini in your local folder and put Stereo = ON then that will fix it.
Shit didn't work for me though and I don't see how it would. Levels are fucked.
Such a salty muthafucker! You deserve to have Star wars ruined for you if you chose to browse any type of site like 4chan.
Also, trying to ruin the ending to a me'h storyline of a four year old game. HAHAHAHA!
HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR PIRATED SAVE FOR RETARDS:
Download the save file tool (http://www.tzarsectus.com/tools/DDsavetool.rar)
Extract that into a new folder
Copy your pirated save into this new folder. Pirated save location is appdata/roaming/steam/codex/367500/remote/ddda.sav
Open up cmd, Drag the save tool exe into the cmd window, then hit space, type "-u" (No "s), hit space again, and drag the ddda.sav into the window, and hit enter
The tool should then extract the .sav into a text file
Open the new text file up in a text editor (I used notepad+), and ctrl + f steam, and replace the number in there with your steam64 id (Find your steam 64 id on this website https://steamid.co/)
Save that shit.
Then, With the CMD window again, drag the save tool, hit space, type "-r", hit space again, and drag the text file into the window, then hit enter.
It should repack the text file into ddda.sav
Finally, copy that shit to the retail save folder, which is located in steam/userdata/[numbers]/367500/remote
>he doesn't know that pawns are the best part of this game
Only for the forever alones that are too spaghetti to play with actual people. It's absolute nothing, if anything it makes the game worse because it can get easier.
so, where's a mod that lets warrior do L1 attacks?
>all that shit for save game
>the .rar file contains a virus too
Yeah I did, because unlike useless people like you whose only contribution to the world is throwing baby hissyfits to alleviate their personal frustrations, someone already gave me the exact name of the folder if you followed the reply chain.
Did you find another thing to scream at like a baby yet by the way? :^)
>too spaghetti to play with actual people
It's about raising a pawn to be useful, noticing its growth, seeing it aid others, seeing others rate your pawn highly and reward you. It has nothing to do with a desire to co-op and I have no idea what combination of idiocy and autism led you to think that way.
Nope. Enemies hit harder and it takes more stamina for you to use abilities, that's about it. You also get a shit ton more gold.
>think to myself I still have an hour left before I can play it
>try to start it anyway
>it starts up instantly
Yeah I know, I already beat the game once actually, but I only did it last year when it was pretty much dead already so I never got my pawn hired and I
don't like lolisso I was wondering if I should even bother.
>this awful character creator
holy fuck mods when to save this mess? Cant even look at my fucking character.
Here you go.
Also more height increases your walking rate, but generally also increases your weight, which would slow it.
There's a certain optimal height but I forget the formula.
I'm just fine dude, i don't need someone to find things for me.
Holy shit, the Character Creator music is so comfy
Short characters are the only ones that can enter (or accidentally fall into) goblin lairs.
Short and Light characters are easier for Harpies to steal
Short and Light characters are pushed more by strong winds, either natural or made by enemies
Short characters may douse their own lanterns while wading through water
They also modify weapon range, stamina use, etc.
Nah m8, you don't understand, I don't mind hiring lolis, I was actually wondering if MY bearded, strong tall male sorcerer would get any chance at being hired based on the personal experiences of people in this thread, because I never see this game's community talking about anything other than loli waifu pawns, understand? Just a small curiosity.
